E it’s the Mixed Martial Arts hour With mix Tower is back in your life on this Monday no not Monday Wednesday March 13th 2000 and 24 hello again everyone been a while since I did that so much going on you know I was talking about this before the show the difference in the vibe here not only in
This building on this floor office streets of New York traffic the difference between Monday and Wednesday is insane when I come here on Mondays I’m flying in no problem no traffic no hold up all the parking in the world you come here on Wednesday and I’m arriving
Like 20 minutes before the show I have to scarf down my food I have indigestion I’m thinking it’s Wednesday Monday I’m getting that confused I don’t know what it is do people just not go to work on Monday here what’s happening what’s going on exactly why is this when is
This going to end actually you know what at least we get Monday day off it’s it’s not going to end it’s uh Tuesday through Thursday is the new work week so I guess I should be happy that it’s not Monday through Friday like this but it does feel it almost feels like overly
Congested like everyone comes in even if you don’t have to be here you come in what is going on Mondays I love Monday’s beautiful so I feel a little uh you know a little for clamped as they say um but there’s there’s there’s excitement in the air there’s buzz in the air because
As you can see right over there there’s a little counter we’ve got breaking news coming in a matter of moments it might actually be coming in uh sooner than that clock but no later than that clock at least that’s what I think so we’ve got a lot of exciting things to talk
About on today’s program as always we are presented by our good friends over at DraftKings stay tuned later in the program I’ll tell you more about DraftKings exciting Time in the World of Sports not only Combat Sports you got March Mania coming up and uh baseball season basketball season obviously NHL
Shout out to the next big win last night ogn and OB back yeah very exciting so what are we doing on today’s program as always uh we’ll make our picks for this weekend can the parlay boys get off the schneide can they finally get their
First win of 2024 it’s one of the Great storylines in mixed martial arts right now can they do it I believe and what a great slate of fights to uh to sink their teeth into so we’ll get into that also get gc’s picks for the weekend prior to that on
The nose fantastic array of questions I have to say shout out to the uh substack crew and I have to say also hard-hitting ones you know it’s not all softballs it’s not all you know uh rainbows and lollipops so great stuff there and uh we will dig into those back into the
Program now at 3:30 we were supposed to be joined by Macy Barber this is a tiny bit of breaking news unfortunately she just told me that she spent the night in the ER and is incredibly sick and has a very very high fever um and so she asked
To get an IOU and absolutely we understand she just fought big win for her so unfortunately no Macy Barbara on today’s program she is sick and most important is her health and so we do wish her the best and hope that she makes a very speedy recovery and feels
Better very soon nevertheless prior to that uh we are going to be joined by Bam Bam taiu Vasa it’s been a while since we had taiu Vasa on the program he’s headlining the UFC event in Vegas this Saturday at the Apex against marcine Tor very important fight for Bam Bam uh he’s
Lost his last three in a row after a very impressive winning streak he has to get back on track he’s got a new hairstyle I love talking to the guy the uh the time difference between here and Australia proves to be problem atic more often than not and so we wanted to take
Advantage with him being in Las Vegas he’ll join us at 3 Yan and J will join us at 2:30 found out on Saturday night she’s going to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame this June uh the international fight week festivities always includes these days the Hall of
Fame and I love the fact that she’s going in welld deserved the strawweight queen herself uh Joanna violence they used to call her the pride of Poland all that stuff and more uh part of some of the Great Moments in recent UFC history and certainly put that 115 PB division
On the map for a very long time she was musty TV been a while since we talked to her as well can’t wait to have her on at 2:30 I cannot wait to have Ben Davidson on as well Ben Davidson is one of the brightest Minds in Combat Sports he’s
The head trainer for the likes of Lee wood and most notably these days Anthony Joshua yes he was by his side in Riad over the weekend he was there he put together the game plan alongside his fellow Coach Lee Wy and what a game plan
It was they ended up doing the thing in the second round The Knockout two knockdowns then The Knockout Ben Davidson has never been on but I really really respect him and have wanted to have him on for quite some time he’ll join us at two Kayla Harrison will join us at 1:30 and
Oh boy did a lot of people say oh she’s not going to come on she’s a UFC fighter now she won’t come on oh she’s changed she’s gone bougie she’s gone this she’s gone that well guess what she’s coming on and of course she is making her UFC debut at UFC 300 April
13th exactly 31 days from today and we’ll have an announcement regarding UFC 300 as well so many exciting things happening here at the uh MMA hour HQ so stay tuned for that but I’m very excited to talk to Kayla speaking to her for the first time as a UFC fighter we’ve talked
So many times before in the past never before as a UFC fighter and so now it is time does that mean we are good to go Frank that’s exactly what that means okay and so the clock was a little bit uh or I told you it might
Happen uh sooner than later here is the breaking news my friends Saturday June 1st Kia Forum Englewood California The Fabulous Forum will host one of the most anticipated rematches in recent Combat Sports history it’s going to be Nathan Diaz versus Jorge mazal 2 it is a done deal it is official they
Will be competing in a 10 round light heavyweight 175 PBS boxing match live on pay-per-view presented by Fano pay-per-view the same group of course that put together the Logan Paul versus Floyd Mayweather fight back in 2019 they have gotten it over the line Nathan Diaz in his second Pro boxing
Bout of course fought Jake Paul back in August of last year going up against Jorge mazal who retired from the UFC in March of last year given the green light they will compete on June 1st in Englewood California once again at the Kia Forum in a 10 round 175lb light
Heavyweight pro boxing bout presented by gamebred promotions presented by real fight Inc as well and put together by fan who like I said put together that Logan Paul versus Floyd Mayweather fight back in 2019 it is a done deal this is happening a rematch of a fight that
Happened back in November of 2019 here in New York City at Madison Square Garden UFC 244 The Rock Donald Trump they’re all there when they used to not attend events that fight Was Won of course by Jorge maidel Diaz thinks unceremoniously thinks he was wronged by the New York
State athletic commission they’re going to run it back in a 10 round pro boxing bout on June 1st there’s the poster right over there what do you what do you uh what do we say what do you Frank Frank has already booked his uh his flight that’s
What he told me when I told him this before so he’s very excited and uh in a matter of moments we are going to be joined by Jorge mazal to talk about this news uh some people thought that these two guys would return to the uh the UFC
Some people thought that they would be a part of UFC 300 some people thought that Diaz was coming back some people thought that mazal was coming back they are fighting each other in a pro boxing bout now I’m told the cards still being put together tickets will go
On sale in the very near future but I think we’ll see some familiar names from the world of boxing but also MMA obviously we know about Diaz’s stable mates we know about mazd doll’s stable mates and as I’ve said time and again on this program as I’ve
Said time and again on this program the VIN diagram that is the world of MMA and boxing in that little part that slice in the middle continues to get bigger and bigger and bigger it has never been a more fascinating time to be in the Combat Sports business because it’s all
Getting mixed together it’s it’s it’s boxing it’s MMA it’s kickboxing it’s even pro wrestling obviously with TKO as the you know parent company of now the UFC and and WWE and you see them coming together as well doing some cross promotion with Michael Chandler on raw
And the likes of taasa and JDM at uh elimination chamber in Perth like you’re just seeing it all come together and this is exciting for me just because I like the Wild and Wacky World of combat I think it’s a fascinating thing to be a
Part of um um and I and I like the the intertwining of it all so uh here we go a lot of people thought that uh Nathan Diaz was going to be done boxing a lot of people thought that Jorge mazal would be done fighting and then they thought
That they’d go back to MMA they’re going to be competing in a 10 round pro boxing bout so in about five minutes time we’re going to be joined by Jorge mazal to get his uh his first thoughts on all of this and then uh hopefully down the
Line in the coming weeks months we’ll be joined by Nathan Diaz to talk about this all the Forum a uh a very interesting venue obviously that’s California Diaz a huge deal in the state of California and uh that was the site of UFC 199 it’s actually the last time I’ve been in that
Building I’ve not been in that building since UFC 199 don’t know if I’ll be there for this particular one but uh you would expect this to be a very Pro Diaz uh territory right a very Pro Diaz crowd uh I’m really curious to see a what the crowd looks like how many
People are rooting for mozal and what the rest of the card looks like as well because that would dictate you know who’s who’s coming June 1st shaping up to be by the way a uh tremendous day I mean we were talking about how great this past weekend was and it was
June 1st shaping up to be a tremendous day in the world of Combat Sports cuz now we have this fight Diaz mazal 2 and I like to call it two I know like the UFC when Izzy and Pereira fought in the UFC for the first time they didn’t
Call it uh what would it be three I feel like if you tangle in any way shape or form it has to be 1 2 3 4 like why should we make the distinction that’s just me I’m referring to it as such that being said we have this fight
We have the Dimitri bivel versus arter BBF fight on June 1st now that’s going to happen a lot sooner in the day um and maybe even sooner than what we saw on Friday if you know the timing works out a little bit better but that’s the uh
Not the next re card because the next one is May 18th Tyson Fury versus Alexander usyk but the one after that on June 1st just a couple of weeks later that’s the arter better bef versus Demitri bivel card and also the five on five Queensberry versus matchroom card
That’s happening on June 1st and and we’ll talk about this more on the on the nose section of the program uh some strong talk of also a UFC event UFC 302 potentially right across the river in Newark happening on that same day as well so buckle up my friends buckle up
My friends there’s uh there’s a lot happening on June 1st a lot happening every freaking weekend I mean I was thinking about April April is nuts from WrestleMania on the 6th to the uh the 13th 300 to the 20th Haney and Garcia 27th Taylor catall and a whole
Bunch of other stuff going on as well like it’s just a crazy time it’s just an amazing time to be a Combat Sports Fan uh an expensive time no doubt here’s some more information the pay-per-view will be available for purchase at fan.com ppv and fan.com /dz vs mozal you can go there right
Now if you click on those links fan.com there’s a promo running right now and you can actually get the pay-per-view uh right now as well if you go to those links so that’s fan.com pppv fan.com Diaz versus mazal the early pricing so this is of Interest the early pricing is 4
9.99 up until Friday April 12th after Friday April 12th the sale is the price of the pay-per-view is $79.99 this is something that we saw with the Logan Paul Floyd Mayweather fight back in 2019 they had like an early on sale and people thought at the time that it
Wasn’t going to happen that it was just some sort of hoax and it did happen and so they gave you a reduced price beforehand and then afterwards uh they made it into a full price but you know $49 .99 before April 12th and then $79.99 after April 12th of course people
Aren’t accustomed to buying pay-per-views that far out in advance um but I guess they’re trying to get you with a what $30 discount to do so um like I said the live event ticket info will be announced shortly and Fano will present the event in association with
Diaz’s real fight Inc and mazd dal’s gamebred boxing promotions curious to see how many MMA fighters are on this card uh I know that a very good friend of Nate Diaz’s is uh oh okay I didn’t see that my bad I’m going on and on talking about this and I didn’t know
That horad was standing by so that’s my bad I missed it um let us go to the afor mentioned Jorge mazal who I just announced is fighting on June 1st in Englewood California Kia Forum the highly anticipated rematch from November of 2019 you won that night at Madison Square Garden Jorge you versus
Nate Diaz 2 in a 10 round pro boxing bout 175 pounds it just broke your initial thoughts on this Mega fight I’m gonna set a big far football field times sent distance between me and him that’s the only thing I’m thinking of you know I think the first fight I
Laid it out there that I’m the superior athlete the meaner fighter he’s he’s a h of a fighter he’s tough as it gets and I know his for is mainly boxing so um and he’s always you know Ted about how good his boxing he’s another good boxer I’ve
Always touted so when the opportunity came for for me to unretire and do something like this I was very motivated I’ve been so motivated I’ve been Swit my my training camp because it’s boxing and I just been living in Las Vegas now for about seven eight weeks and I complete
My camp out here just doing the boxing night just training because I want to murder this guy and it’s nothing personal with him but I want to beat the [ __ ] breaks tell you know he always said that the referee Sav me I don’t think anybody with common sense would
Agree so I think uh this fight right here puts an end to all that [ __ ] I’m gonna be in the best shape of my life I know he’s going to be in the best shape of my life it’s not like he’s fighting Jake Paul and he’s coming up
Off the couch he knows that if he’s not in shape I’ll make him look bad and I’ll get him out of than two rounds he knows with me you got to die every day in the gym to maybe step in that ring and have a Fighting Chance you know cuz I don’t I
Don’t play that [ __ ] man I’m trying to kill this [ __ ] and he knows it personally I mean he has the scars to prove it you know he sees them things every day in the mirror when he looks and he goes this guy’s going to try to
[ __ ] kill me bro so he can get in this get your ass in shap because I’m coming to break your [ __ ] face and can I ask you H I know you were at the event in Miami he was there too did you see him did you cross pass was
There any opportunity for you guys to see each other never saw him I mean I would have would have lik to have seen him maybe just [ __ ] F his hand and tell him bro get yourself [ __ ] ready because I’m coming to kill you br you know I didn’t come out of retirement you
Know for for a lot of reasons and then when this deal came and the fight came and I was like you know what I’m going to do this right I’m gonna you know just like as I did when I went to that reality show and I come out I had all this data
To research over I did the same thing now all my MMA data that I have in combat bring it over to boxing just try to make the most efficient best plan to get to the fight as healthiest in as best shape as I can and most violent so
I can I could set miles and miles apart between me and this individual especially in the realm of boxing which I’ve always that I have much better hands yes I can’t wait to see you in that world and uh your team is telling
Me that you you do have to run this is a quick uh driveby if you will so I’m not going to keep you much longer one last question uh why why are you winning this fight because he has won pro boxing bout under his belt and uh and and and you
Have you do before years ago before any of these [ __ ] crossed over to from MMA to boxing I did mind we’re talking about like I don’t know 15 16 years ago against a guy that had like 30 fights you know so I’m one and0 in boxing right
Now so he’s 0 and one okay fair enough I don’t know how that stacked up for him why and how between me and you yeah between me and you Ariel I’m gonna [ __ ] hurt this dude man you know I I feel great I’m in a great place right
Now this uh deal has been amazing for for many reasons and it’s also allowed me to [ __ ] be able to just completely utterly focus on my training and nothing else that’s what I’ve been doing about the last six seven weeks that I’ve been here in the C but before I got here I
Was already training cuz I knew I didn’t know if it was going to be Nate if it was going to be this guy that guy so I just stayed training you know so I feel in great shape and I still got another like n 10 weeks I’m gonna hurt this guy
Man I love it all right thank you Jorge thank you so much for coming on hopefully we’ll get to talk longer leading up to the fight but for now thanks for popping in look to be in tremendous shape June 1st Kia forum fan meal pay-per-view mazal Diaz 2 it’s
Going down I appreciate it Jorge thank you take care brother there he is Jorge Moz game bread um all right fascinating stuff so there you have it I told you some breaking news off the top and uh and you get to also hear from the man himself Jorge a
Quick driveby if you will you know an in and out uh because I was told that he didn’t have um you know he didn’t have a ton of time and uh he wanted to come on and just say a few things about Nate Diaz and hopefully we can get uh Nate
Diaz on in the uh in the very near future so in about 10 minutes time we’re going to be joined by Kayla and we’ll have more time to react to all of this uh back into the show what do you think the line will be GC what are you feeling
What are you thinking you think uh you think Diaz with his one fight or Mel revealing that he’s actually had a fight way back when tips him over the scale so to speak I got no clue man no idea I wonder when we’ll get a line on this
Thing or do you think do you think it’s just like a straight up like money line not money L what is it called they’re the same yeah it’ll be like a coin flip but yeah you’d be taking the money line sure I guess Diaz I have no clue I don’t
Know what’s going to happen in this are you going to do three watch parties that day like how how many I think we just do a 12-h hour a 12 hour stream vivil better bef Diaz mozal U c302 oh man just jump right in into the next it’s a lot
You know for those wondering I did ask um Friday Sunday you know just to to spread it out no real you know push back there in terms of no we feel very confident and um you can watch them both at the same time you can hopefully not have them go
Back to back as far as like overlapping each other I don’t know what time the main card will start you know there’s a world where this main card would start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern and go to say I don’t know 10 or 11 and then you’re good um obviously there’s there’s price
Involved but if I were in charge I would try my best not to have them completely overlap right feel like that would be the smartest play yeah yes yeah um 18,000 seats they selling it out I don’t think I don’t think the Forum is 18,000 uh let’s see I think the Forum is
Smaller Kia Forum I’m seeing 175 oh is it that really sheesh for basketball yeah I would imagine that there would be even more for boxing though yeah hell yeah is it it really 17,000 yeah 175 16,000 for ice hockey uh sheesh I mean Nate Diaz is big man so is
Mazol California too obviously this is Southern California as opposed to to NorCal people showed out for him versus Jake Paul so in a big way in like a real big way so yeah hopefully the the tickets are great Steve Balmer owns The Forum since when this is news to me man that guy
Owns a lot of stuff they’re building a beautiful Stadium in Englewood uh I forget what it’s called for the clippers but I didn’t know that he owned the Forum that seems weird that the Clippers owner owns The Forum seems almost sa they they’ve never played there have they unless it was for a
Lakers game no it was always the Lakers this can’t be right I thought I thought actually MSG owned the Forum maybe I’m wrong about that um I think MSG group does their their group does own The Forum oh on unless they’ve sold it since but there was a time when when they own
That uh oh how about the on March 24th 2020 Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve bomber purchased a form from MSG for 4 oh that’s right I did know that because just a cool God just throws it around man a cool 400 Millie um New York Rick your initial thoughts to this
News yeah it’s going to be interesting I think um this is one of those fights where you wonder would would some people want to see it in MMA but I think you know with the with the star power of Nate Diaz and jorim maal this this is you know two of the
Bigger names in Combat Sports and I think they’re going to be able to build up the hype obviously I think early on we’re going to hear a lot from Jorge right NATO is always a little more reserved in the cut laying back and we’re going to hear Jorge start to say
How many times he’s going to break Nate’s face and then we’ll see how Nate kind of takes and handles that that’s what I’m most interested in at the moment is like what are we going to hear first from Nate and what does he do we see mazal you know all over social media
Going to Stockton he’s the one who’s like seems to be pursuing pursuing pursuing I kind of want to see what we get from Nate first that’s that’s the mystery to me yeah and and what kind of Nate do we get in the uh in the buildup right um yeah sometimes he wants to
Partake sometimes he doesn’t want to partake he wants to partake on his own terms but even when he’s not partaking he’s kind of partaking by being Nate Diaz which is you know what always has worked for him I actually explained this to my friends at Doone and the buildup
To the paight like him walking out him doing all that stuff is actually is actually what you’re getting yes this is the premium that you’re paying uh when you’re in the Nate Diaz business like this this is the stuff like when I did the face to face with him and Jake it
Was fine but the part that got the most views was him walking off now I’m not saying he needs to do that every single time or it should be forced this and that he just you know you saw him kind of remember that where he was like he
Was sort of debating should I leave should I not leave and then he left yeah that got millions of views as as opposed to anything else that would have been said in the face to face them talking [ __ ] to each other the reason Nate Diaz
Is who Nate Diaz is and has become so popular is because he doesn’t fake the funk there’s not a fake bit about Nate Diaz whatever he wants to do in that moment however he feels he’s going to let you know and do it and so that
That’s just part of the the thing and that’s what I’m kind of most excited to see I think you obviously between the two you get jge who kind of plays the game a little bit more he’s also now a promoter and has that type of hat on um so there’s there’s interesting dynamic
Between the two but for me it’s like the mystery of Nate Diaz is always going to have a lore for me here’s what I’ll say in terms of what’s at stake obviously they’re just fighting each other and it’s a grudge match and they’re they’re they’re I’m sure and I hope getting paid
A lot of money and there’s there’s just a lot going on I think stick with me here Conor McGregor is hopefully gonna fight Michael Chandler on June 29th and you know that’s the fight that needs to happen and we’re we’re we’re rapidly approaching June 29th so it
Should hopefully get you know booked and announced relatively soon I think if Nate Diaz looks great in this fight if he wins this fight and then also looks great in the fight I think there’s a very good chance that we get Nate Diaz versus Conor McGregor Down
The Line This is the fight that Conor McGregor really wants and I know he has only two fights left and I know he’s talked about it being in the sphere and I know that Dana White has said no I’m not interested in that fight and part of that is because they
Feel like oh maybe you hurt your stock in the the uh the Jake Paul proceedings and all that fine I think if he goes out there and has a really big win I think the UFC is extremely interested and I think Conor pushes for that fight if it
Doesn’t happen then obviously you know we may have to wait a very long time if ever to see that fight but I really do think that that’s the fight that Connor is going to push for win or lose on June 29th and I think that fight sells insane you know tickets
Pay-per-view Etc regardless of what they did in their last fight but so are you saying from a are you saying from a Stakes perspective if Nate Diaz wins it will be more attractive to the UFC because it sounds like you’re saying win or lose Connor is like that’s what I
Want anyway and he’s kind of broadcasted that you’re saying if the UFC can kind of feel like they can sell it then it becomes more the stock is up I mean I think they could always sell it but I think I think their thing now is like
Yeah you know he fought he fought Jake Paul didn’t go his way okay and and my understanding is that they they are going to be involved remember there was a story that came out that and and Jorge has talked about this on this show where he got permission to fight in boxing you
Know against X people Nate was on that list so this is sort of being done with the UFC’s blessing Nate has no obligations but Jorge does because he’s still under contract n isn’t so they’re on board and I think that that’s their way of saying okay let’s see and I think
That if Nate has a big-time performance they revisit that fight in a very big way and by the way is there any if H has a big time performance you could revisit that because remember that was the hot thing in 2020 I was just about to ask
Are the stakes similar for it feels like I would I would be angling for that it seems like Conor has always been more you know interested in fighting Nate but I wouldn’t hate uh Jorge and Connor 100% I’m talking about what I think the
Stakes are no one has told me this is on the line just to be clear no one has said if Nate wins he’s getting this if Jorge’s winning he’s getting this etc etc this is what I think adds to the Intrigue of the fight because by then uh
Connor hopefully will be gearing up for his second last on this contract maybe they sign him beforehand and that’s part of the holdup here but let’s say he doesn’t his fight will be 28 days away so the timing would be nice and then he wins he calls out Connor Connor wins or
Loses I I don’t think it matters as much and then maybe we see it I don’t know I I I think the sphere might be tough but maybe we see it in early 2025 or something like that I just think it it UPS everyone’s you know um profile and
And the stakes so that’s something that’s me greatly when it comes to this particular fight considering the idea of the UFC kind of always flirting around boxing and this permission thing with Jorge mazal is there a world where to keep Conor McGregor busy but not utilize MMA fights off his contract it’s Conor
McGregor versus the winner in boxing oh [ __ ] I didn’t even think of that to be honest why not you know now now you’re not dealing with the negotiation you can table that for a minute you’ve you’ve got a boxing opportunity you broadcast it you’ve got Jorge or Nate versus Conor in
Boxing there’s something there’s something exciting about that I didn’t think of that yeah uh sure I mean I think people just like those two together the the the names honestly Jorge too I would in the mix I think I think all three of those guys in some
Kind of capacity the names matter and and putting them on the poster together matters um and and I do think uh worth mentioning uh it’s pretty remarkable what Nate has done now post UFC um a huge purse for the Jake Paul fight and this one is gigantic as well uh his
Manager Zack does a great job Zack Rosenfield who isn’t traditionally a fight manager per se uh the story the uh the circumstances in which he met uh Nate Diaz um after the first Conor fight pretty remarkable that they’ve gone to this point making the money that they’ve
Made and and he’s been the real Difference Maker and and I like him he’s not telling me to say all this but I think it’s been really impressive what they’ve done together post first uh Connor fight um and and Nate is now a multi-millionaire multi multi multi-millionaire so uh kudos to them
And on the flip side uh I know Jorge has a sort of non-traditional fight manager guiding him these days named Dean tulle and I think it’s very impressive what he’s done in the past year post UFC as well so it’s kind of cool to see sort of you know non-traditional players doing
Really big things reading their own Journey paths history and uh you know getting paid a lot and hopefully this event for them is a success and uh more Fighters can see that there is and are opportunities outside of the traditional Outlets to secure your future Legacy financial future all that stuff and and
Put on Mega events so interesting stuff we could talk more about this on the back end uh during on the nose obviously no questions regarding it because y’all didn’t know but now you know and we’ll talk more about it leading up to June 1st first guest of the daytime and I and
I sort of I intro her with my eyes closed because ever since we kind of locked this in yesterday my heart has been pounding my palms are sweaty quite frankly I have PTSD from the incident which we don’t need to go too far deep into from last month where the you know
It was just sort of like the rug was pull but it was like it was so it was so traumatic because every single show since the questions have been you know where is she where is she where is she are you on the outs is she too big time
Are you not important anymore is this it is this the end sure you were there from essentially pre I mean the Olympics basically like before the first gold medal and now like are you just you know roadkill on the side of the road so like I don’t even know what’s waiting for me
On that side I have no idea I’m nervous because I feel like it’s just going to be a blind screen and it’s just going to be egg on my face once again and so let’s just go to the screen if we can and yeah you see that’s what I thought
That you see that’s that’s exactly what I thought I knew it I knew if you could only feel my heart it’s by my ankles right now it’s been a very you laugh you’re such a drama queen you laugh cayb but it’s it’s been so tough it’s been so
Tough hi Ariel hello everyone’s like oh wow she couldn’t do interviews that day meanwhile she’s doing 95 interviews oh she’s doing this she’s doing that I mean it’s just been my go man I went from being first make me say Don’t make me say fake news don’t make it’s first to L
By the way nice Stanley I like a good Stanley my daughter loves a good Stanley well done God is love it’s a fake one okay fair enough all right I guess the uh the UFC paycheck isn’t as good as I thought it was no I have another one is
Stanley I got two Stanley respect uh well it’s so good to see you for the first time I mean we the journey started you were just like selling books that’s all you were doing you weren’t sure who I was and uh pre pfl if you recall
That’s the first time I spoke to you yeah you know yes yes post Olympics you mean after I was there I was there at the first gold you just didn’t know me I was really I was in the back of the room but I’ve really been on this journey we
Never really talked you were there yeah I was in the back I was in the back I was just a young you really I was just a young cub in London yeah yeah I was in the back all the way in the back of the Press Room
[ __ ] how are you um what a journey yeah yeah let’s just clear the air for a second here Ser I’m good how are you I’m good I’m good it’s so good to see you by the way you look spelt but still packing heat baby um I know everyone’s talking [ __ ] about me
Online she’s on steroids how’s she gon to make way is Chris Jericho I was like that’s actually pretty funny I’m talking about your face your your face looks very slim compared to to usual are you uh like a month before a fight could I ask how much you weigh as
Opposed to when you’re fighting at 55 50 45 um I’m about 150 pounds okay so that’s tremendous you’re obviously not at 150 pounds when you’re fighting at 150 pounds I’m not how is life though because this was my concern yeah cool right at the end of my favorite time of
The day oh perfect Lun my concern was that your life would be hell on on route to 135 I know we’re not quite in the thick of it right now but how is life as a bantamweight yeah I mean I’m not sitting in a sauna at 13
Right now so yeah like life is still good okay I mean it’s chosen suffering it’s chosen suffering you know like this is um we all make sacrifices we all have to pay now or pay later later but eventually we all pay and this is something that I’m willing to sacrifice
For this is something I signed on the dotted line for so it’s my responsibility it’s my duty and um does it suck sometimes when like it’s Friday night and my kid I order pizza for my kids like yeah of course I’m like you know just want life yeah you know
You have like those voices in your head um but overall I feel really good my body feels good my mind is clear my heart is wide open and ready for you know the future and all of the excitement that’s building and um I’m fueled I’m hydrated life is good I’m a
Killer so if we can uh I’d love to kind of start even though we’ve already started in um November of last year when you walked out of the cage in DC the pfl event Black Friday did you know that that would be your last pfl fight no did you want it to
Be no I mean I had no idea what I wanted really like I know I knew that I wanted to keep fighting I knew that um I wanted to face big competition and I knew that um I needed to kind of get a lay of the
Land and see what was going to happen and how things were going to flush out um yeah and it definitely did not did not go how I envisioned it going can you can you elaborate on that um I don’t want to dwell too much on the past simply because that’s where it is
It’s in the past it doesn’t it’s not for me to you know but I I just I this is a business it’s not you know it’s the fight business it’s not the fight friends and um yeah it just didn’t it didn’t go exactly it didn’t go how I thought it
Was going to go um Michael Chandler talks a lot about you know the sort of courtship from the UFC and his I love him by the way oh man yes I’m a huge man he came up to me at the fights on 299 and he like introduced I was like H
He was like hi I’m Mike and I was like hi I’m kayin he’s like I know who you are and he was like I’m really excited for your debut welcome you’re going to love it here you know like he just was very welcoming and like gracious and I
Was like oh wow like thank you yeah so anyways what you gonna say he he’s a mench he’s uh and he’s a great representative for the brand and and he can probably speak best on how life changes when you go from one organization to the UFC and that’s not
Knocking anyone but it’s just a different playing field but he has talked about like his conversations with Hunter and Dana saying like I’m not here for a long time here for a good this and I’m just wondering about your conversations as you guys were trying to
Make this like what was that like trying to get this done because obviously there’s the 135 thing which you’ve never done before and you had a great situation with pfl and I think they treated you quite nicely so how did it go in terms of inking
It I mean it went fine you know that’s um that’s why I pay your best friend the big bucks um you know he is Daniel Cormier who are we talking about I’m just kidding that was good um I try not to get too involved in that side of it just because
It’s it’s hard to not become emotional about your own worth and your own like how you feel about it’s hard not to let emotions get involved for me personally that’s so I try not to get super involved in the negotiation process you know I’ll come I’ll show up
I’ll you know wow them with my wit and humor and Grace but um yeah the the negotiation part of it I mean I just make it very clear look like I I come over to be the best I want to win a title I want to smash everybody and I
Want to get paid well to do it and I know I deserve that and that’s it was there any pitch that was made in terms of fighting at 45 not 35 um I don’t think so I don’t think that that was even like a on the table
Kind of thing which in all fairness like they didn’t yeah like they were like no that’s not that’s not an option okay and was there any trepidation on your part because of that oh yeah okay how hard of a decision was this course you think I’m
Crazy um yeah no it was definitely you know Ariel it’s like it was a really hard time in my life it was a really hard decision for me to make um and I was really scared I was really scared about um all of it you know like the weight cut
And the the unknown right like whether I like it or not this is a totally new Beast to me yes it’s MMA but this is like at the pfl like I’m I started with them I was with them before they were the pfl like I grew with them I know everybody
Everybody knows me like I know I know that animal you know like I’ve been been there so it’s comfortable it’s familiar it’s fighting is never safe but it’s as probably as safe as it can get you know um and this is not that you know this is
This is not that and I had to kind of dig down I had to get really still and I had to shut off all the noise you know because there were a lot of people who felt very strongly about one way and a lot of people who felt very strongly
About the other way so I kind of had to get real quiet and sit with myself and you know pray about it Journal about it meditate like literally write down a pros and cons list like picture it this way picture it that way um and just get
Really still and try and listen to Listen to My Heart and listen to God and um yeah like I’m I’m excited I feel like I’m ready for a new challenge I’m ready for a new chapter um I don’t have a ton of years left fighting I think that uh I’m a two-time
Olympic champion I’m a two-time pfl champion I have plenty of money in the bank um when I started MMA I wanted to be UFC champion and um that’s not a knock on the pfl it didn’t even exist then but like when I started MMA the goal was to be UFC champion and
Along the way the goal might have changed a little bit and I might have felt like it wasn’t as necessary but yeah I want to be UFC champion and um do you know what really was the deciding factor for me and this is so crazy for someone like
Me to like openly admit this to the world but like I realized that like say the worst happens say I go out and I [ __ ] get knocked out in 10 seconds and I never become UFC champion and that’s my last fight ever like whatever I tear my achilles and I can’t recover
Whatever something crazy happens like will I be okay and the answer is yes I will like I’ll be okay do I do I really want to win a UFC title [ __ ] yes like I’m I am in it and I am eating sleeping living breathing and so are my children and so
Are my all of my friends and my family like everyone is like all in on this with me and like it’ll it’ll be okay it’s going to be fun I’m enjoying the ride would that mean more than winning Olympic gold becoming UFC champion I’ll tell you after I do it
Okay I’ll come as you dream about it as you want it because the only reason I asked that question is because when you’re going for Olympic gold obviously there’s so many people involved in that process but now as a mother and the sacrifice that you’re
Making for your body to get down to 135 it’s like almost like an even greater challenge I feel like cuz it’s not just you showing up at you know 150 whatever 160 and you can just do your thing do you know what I mean and so I’m just
Wondering and you know this is probably your last sporting achievement left right it’s not like you’re going to go do something else after this so I’m just wondering if the feelings are different as as you dream about and and strive for um I think the feelings are different in
The sense that like I’m actually living in the moment and enjoying the process versus like trying to get there as fast as possible I listened to Dustin’s interview the other day and like being mindful being present being grateful being aware of like dude what a beautiful life I live and like what an
Amazing journey it’s been when I was 16 training for the Olympics like I was not I was not grateful for for anything right I was miserable um and yeah it’s just like my my mindset where I come from like I don’t fight out of a place of fear anymore or like
Unworthiness or lack I fight out of out of a place of joy and fulfillment and like this is I feel like part of my purpose in life like this is my purpose and my passion um so it’s different it’s hard to compare too like I’m I was a
Different person when I was an Olympic Athlete and the Olympics are such a different it’s a different world like it is a different world Ariel I mean yeah number one it’s every four years right and no one had ever won a gold medal from our country and like
Everything I overcame to get there I don’t know that anything will ever top that but also just the the culture is very different you know like I just did my first UFC Q&A last week um what did you make of that experience eye opening in what way I had lot of fun
Um well like for instance because it was a fan Q&A so at one um at one point there was a fan who came up and spoke to Armen yeah in Russian and Armen was getting booed the whole time and like you know we have talked
About it I’m we’re fine but like the guy asked him basically how many times would he asked him a really inappropriate question about me and Armen answered it and I didn’t I mean I’m up I look like an idiot I’m up on up on the stage like laughing and you
Know Megan Olivia says would you care to translate it and arman’s like no stupid question move on and then the next day I’m tagged in all these Russian Outlets with the translation of what he asked and um you know it’s disheartening I I think like it’s disrespectful like I’m a two-time
Olympic champion a world champion I’m a mother I’m a advocate for survivors of sexual abuse I wrote a book I have a foundation um so like in that sense it was disrespectful that someone would even asked that question but more than that I think like you would never hear
Uh a female get asked like how many times would you have sex with Alex petta you know like that’s just like we don’t we don’t sexualize men like that so it was disheartening and um at first I was super embarrassed and like shocked by it but
Then I just was like you know what [ __ ] it I’m just going to keep being me and I’m going to say something about it when the time is right because I feel like that’s wrong and um I want to help change the landscape of the sport not
Just for me but for future female Fighters and um it was on International Women’s Day to boot you know like like what are we talking like H have you talked to him have you talked to him about it the guy to Arman yeah Arman and I spoke about it have you cleared the
Air because he’s a teammate right Arman and I yeah he’s a teammate yeah that was awkward yeah um no we spoke about it we’re good okay there’s no I no issues with Armen it’s more just like I guess this is my point is like that is wild that that like even
Happened like uh the whole Q&A was bizarre uh I won’t lie and say that I watched the whole thing but I did see that clip and I saw other Clips where people were coming up and telling Armen that he’s going to get smoked by Charles Aliva it’s like like that was very
Disrespectful to him it’s crazy I was like not it’s just a different Beast like and I think too I’m realizing like it’s like it’s a different Beast like this is the show this is The Big Show and people fans love you or hate you but you
Know you’re going to get a lot more eyes in this space when’s the last time you weighed 136 probably 18 wow how close have you gotten to 136 in this process very close Okay um you feel comfortable with it you do you think that this are you dreading it are you
Nervous about it are you no I’m embracing it what I was told was part of the appeal from their Camp was yeah you’re going to deplete yourself on on route to bantamweight and this plays into our favor do you understand that line of thinking yeah I can see where that would
Be attract and aluring for this fight um was anyone else disc I love the matchup and I love the stage I love the card it’s just like great it’s like what a way to Showcase you former champ decorated was this the only one discussed meaning for a debut it was
Holly yeah and did you like it right away yeah I mean I would have said yes to anybody but um this was the fight I think that they you know Ali said well if she says no or something but we didn’t have to go that far she said yes
So have you been told that if you win this fight you get a title shot um I haven’t been promised anything there’s no no would you like that to be the case I’m gonna make it the case are you comfortable like you become number one Contender and then you become
Champion and then you defend the title now we’re not just talking about one fight at 135 it’s multiple fights does that worry you no okay I’m a professional and like my life is not I think that people have like this misconception because I fought at 155
PBS for so long that maybe I walk around at like 180 pounds or something but like I walk around like the max I get was 165 you know so I’m not I just didn’t cut weight like I don’t I don’t love it I don’t agree with it I don’t
Think it SS the right message to kids and I think it’s probably pretty unhealthy and not safe but like I’m doing it the right way I have a you know Eric Peña is working with me my chef Dar like is also a nutritionist working with me like we’re super dialed
In we have a group text I check in every day like they’re you know it’s I’m a well-oiled machine at this point and I feel good um training is going great like i’ I feel like I’m hitting my stride I’m about to hit my Peak right at the perfect like it’s all coming
Together in in the buildup to all of this before was officially announced but there were some like Rumblings and whatnot uh your old friend Chris cyborg was saying or as I like to put it the the moderator of her social media account um was saying that you were
Ducking turning down a fight against her in Riad could you tell us your side of the story here I mean yeah it’s just not true I didn’t have any fights left on my contract so um you know there were no there was nothing to duck because I
Wasn’t under contract anymore um I was open to being under contract again but ultimately that that didn’t play out so I wouldn’t I told you I’d fight Chris Cy I’ll fight Chris cyborg after UFC 300 in the parking lot since she’s probably going to be in Holly’s corner so like we
Can just settle that right there if that’s what she wants to do does this drive a professional she’s a professional do you sometimes want to bang your head against the wall just because uh I do remember you signing an offer sheet to fight her in Hawaii in
Bellator so you chased that then pfl matched it and now at the end of your contract yes the stars align nicely that she’s now supposedly a pfl fighter and now yeah trying to put out the the sort of narrative that you’re ducking her when it’s the UF freaking C it’s the UFC it’s
Not like you went to go to LFA or you know one or ryzen it’s UFC 300 against Holly Holm like what are we talking about here right um I mean yeah of course it’s like it’s it’s annoying but I don’t I mean I I kind of stopped chasing
That that at Golden Goose a long time ago like I don’t think that I don’t believe that she would ever fight me and I don’t believe that my legacy depends on her um and I know that people are going to feel one way or another and it’s not
My job to to tell them how to feel like if you think I ran away from Chris cyborg that’s your opinion you’re entitled to it um I don’t care could I ask and and obviously I understand there’s a relationship here so answer it whichever way you want uh
How did things end with pfl because I do have to mention that Don Davis was on the show and said that you had one fight left and he was hopeful that you would fight so is there anything you could tell us about how things ended with him um not at this
Time uh I am hopeful that things will end and ibly um yeah okay um failed to mention before Chris is training Hol or training with her I should say I know is this just like one big everybody knows yes do do you do you just laugh at this do you
Well how do you rect I get it guess I don’t know I’m like is that why you two get along cuz she’s high drama too you love the drama you like no actually I I would say I would say I I think not in a great place because I’ve pushed back if anything
Kayla dare I say I think I’ve had your back uh I mean i’ I’ve taken some bullets for you if I mean I’ve put my my reputation my job everything on the line have I not I’m fighting battles while I’m fighting battles for caning on me you’re canceling on my show okay first
Of all for the fans and The Listener sake I had to cancel because my lawyers requested that I not do media due to some pending thank for saying that because they thought we were on the outs or they thought that people were coming between
Us I would never be on the outs with the aeriel you couldn’t you couldn’t I mean we’re still gonna have the ah and KH I’m waiting for it I’m just gonna yeah it’s gonna be great someday what would we even talk about because I don’t watch fighting so oh life uh Parenthood
You know Parenthood yeah yeah um we could get deep I mean like what what about that Dustin conversation right I mean Ariel what a guy what a guy what what a guy like this is why I look up to him so much and why he’s yeah and I
Think yeah he’s just he if you’re going to have a role model in this sport young men and women you know look no further than Dustin the Diamond porier like he he did it the hard way and he did it the right way and he just like even the growth that you
See in him from last fight like even him just opening up and being like not being afraid to talk about being vulnerable and like being scared and being in a dark place like dude that’s so powerful there are so many men right now who are struggling with the same exact thing and
Are afraid to speak out because men have like you’re supposed to be strong or you’re supposed to be stoic or you’re you’re not supposed to show feelings and like just by him having that one conversation with you the ripple effect that it’s going to have on young men
Like and old men like men everywhere I think is so powerful and yeah no I’m a fan of Dustin for life like I think true strength lies in our vulnerability and um he impresses me every day and he he just shines man like my God it was so funny like I’ve never
Met Robbie Lawler in my life and we’re you know sitting next to each other I was surrounded by kill Cliff people I think they did that on purpose um and we’re sitting next to each other at the fight and you know everyone loves Dustin like who who doesn’t love Dustin and
Like the [ __ ] in the second or third round second round like when I don’t even know how many Gillies he jumped but like when he jumped the like third or fourth one like Robbie and I are like grabbing each other like no wizer like we’re like we’re like bonded now forever
In my mind probably not his but in my mind I was like it’s so funny too because he always talks about it in practice like he’s like Kayla you miss 100% of the ghillies you don’t jump I’m like I can’t do it D can’t do it I don’t
Have the kind of like confidence that you have like love them oh me too but seriously I I am I’m a Dustin porier fan for life and I just yeah like his awareness his strength his like willingness to open up and be vulnerable is something that the world could use a
Lot more of you know we have enough clowns we could use more like real men like that how do you win April 13th what are you envisioning I mean I think uh realistically we’re going to get a get a nice takeown and then people are gonna see boy what
Kayla [ __ ] elbows some real ground oh gosh that is something have you only in Victa have you been allowed to use elbows right oh my this is fun I’m excited by the way any meaningful conversations with Dana White it’s good to to see him give you
Love props the way he’s building you up but any uh any good chats with him I mean I just said hi um at UFC 299 he was leaving I was leaving I said I’m Kayla he said I know who you are welcome I don’t know you know you don’t
Want to assume that people know who you are like no no no uh next time you see him just tell him like I really like Ariel and he’s not that bad a guy you know whatever that I probably get a little more like okay whatever have a couple dubs under
My belt before I no pressure no pressure um I mean I have your back but like let me okay fine fine fine let me get a little all right fair not even on the main card so like we got right you should probably ask b b nickel yes
Everyone’s so mad about that golly every I know I saw that everyone is very heated about that what’s up with that it’s so dumb it’s so dumb you get you get paid the same there’s no difference in fact you’re probably seen by more people if you’re not on the pay-per-view
Than you know if you’re on the ESPN a lot of people buy the pay-per-view ESPN prelims are available in everyone’s home it’s going to be on that’s true that’s true you’re not wrong it’s dumb people get too crazy maybe they just want the younger generation to buy the
Pay-per-view and they think Bo will get them to do that yeah they’re trying to push him I don’t and the whole card is great you can’t really you know yeah what is there to complain about Cody garbrandt’s the opening fight for goodness sakes you know two former
Champions so I can’t believe that I know well what a what a life I’m delighted I feel like I can exhale now uh this long you know monthlong nightmare is over we’re back you are so dramatic you act like we weren’t even talking listen it was so tough I had to go through
Mediators lawyers agents it was good you know we’ve been talking this whole time everyone bull [ __ ] uh congratulations so happy for you well done and uh perhaps I’ll see you out there in uh in Las Vegas yeah perhaps I’ll see you out there going out there we’ll see you know we’ll see I
Would love that I wouldn’t miss it for the world so we’ll leave it at that uh K congrats well done good luck this past uh this upcoming month as you prepare for the debut the way cut everything that goes into it can’t wait for it well done and appreciate you coming on as
Always always thank you much love much love Kayla Harrison the great one uh backto back Olympic gold medals and she is just an absolute Legend and I can’t wait for her debut on the 13th of April at UFC 300 it’s going to be great it’s going to
Be great theater so uh let us move along now and let us welcome in our next guest our next guest is someone that I’ve wanted to have on this program for quite some time I’ve talked about him on the show I’ve talked about him on social
Media I got to finally meet him for the very first time on Friday in Riad of all places did a quick three or so minute interview for the Doone pay-per-view broadcast but after what transpired fired on Friday night in Riad The Knockout by Anthony Joshua of won
Francis and ganu then I was like okay now we have to have him on we have to have him on in my opinion he’s one of the brightest Minds in all of Combat Sports not just boxing but of all Combat Sports and I think he is and he may uh
Push back on this largely responsible for the the new AJ whatever you want to call him CU I know he doesn’t like rejuvenated or the the the the redeemed AJ he doesn’t like that and I appreciate that as well he is his head trainer he is the head trainer for not only Anthony
Joshua but the likes of Lee wood as well shout out to naam he’s the one and only Ben Davidson kind enough to join us there he is hello Ben how are you I’m good thank you yourself H I’m so I’m so good and uh so happy to have you on
Really it’s a it’s a great honor to have you on and a great admirer of everything that you are doing in the uh sweet science congratulations on the win uh so much to talk to you about but can I ask you this when this idea was first
Floated to you AJ’s next fight after OV Valen against Francis and ganu were you on board with this or would you have preferred him go down a different path um I think uh I think AJ has said this himself I think before the fury fight happened I think it was a fight
That didn’t really make sense but being honest I think post that fight it was a fight that made sense I think there was a lot of I’m not going to use the word hype because hype can sometimes be taken as um unearned and not true you know but
He put in a fantastic performance and showed that and I genuinely do believe even now he’s a credible worldclass heavyweight whether that’s boxing or M we we briefly briefly spoke about this in the in the interview that I talked about but I’d love to dig a little bit
Deeper um as you were preparing for this fight and a lot has been made of the way you prepare for fights um for your Fighters Lee Wy who coaches with you as well um the way you guys study tape how tricky of an experience was this how challenging of an experience
Was it because you did have to and this is what I respected about you guys you did acknowledge looking at the MMA fights as opposed to maybe others who said you can’t look at that there’s nothing to be learned from that now you’re crossing over into a different
Kind of sport yes some elements are the same but the the tape isn’t quite the same as you’re preparing for you know a big lee wood title fight so what was that experience like for you as you guys really dug deep into the research yeah like you say there was
Some things that did cross over there was some things that we couldn’t really um couldn’t really use or or take much information from um but of course you know there was only the one fight with with with Tyson Fury so we had a little look at some of his other UFC and mixed
Martial arts fights just to take a look and try and make sure that some things did cross over that you know we had evidence to back up it wasn’t just this fight that this tendency was happening it happened here it happened here it happened here
So yeah you know Lee Wy does a fantastic job um unbelievable a huge part of of what we do and um yeah we we had to look across the board because like you say there’s lots of things that do cross over uh what what are those and perhaps
What is that tendency that you’re referring to just so just a number of things um what’s his reaction when somebody Jabs what’s his tendency when the distance opens up when somebody repositions are there certain things that he does and there were certain things that he done
In the Tyson Fury fight that he also done in the same scenario in the MMA fight so going into the Tyson fight how did you think he was going to do I’ll be honest I hadn’t watched much of Francis and Garo I knew that he was this devastating punch a big strong guy
I heard about his story um you know a phenomenal story a phenomenal human being I just I didn’t know first of all straight away the thing was the 10 round you know that was the first that was the first thing that stood stood out to me I thought you know
Going into your first fight not first fight that’s the wrong way to put it he’s he’s a fighter um he’s a championship world champion fighter but just the format of the 10 frees with a minute’s rest in between playing um without the the long periods of potential grappling if they come about
Um the concentration levels these kind of things um I thought it was going to be struggle for him to do the 10 rounds but he proved me wrong in that first Tyson Fury fight um and he shocked me if I’m being 100% honest he shocked me and
I think he shocked the boxing world were you in the camp of oh Francis was tremendous or Tyson didn’t take this seriously and that’s why the fight played out the way which it did I think there was a bit of both I think I know Tyson I used to work with
Tyson so I don’t think he ever prepare for a fight without without with a lack of professionalism however sometimes you go into a fight or even a spa and your mindset is you have a lack of respect for the opponent even though you’ve prepared properly you’ve done everything you’ve said that you will
Do it’s hard to then turn it on once you get in there and go oh actually I need to have some respect for this opponent it’s hard to falce that and fake that um and I think that’s what happened I think Tyson went in there with a lack of
Respect with Francis I think he prepared professionally I think when he got in there he didn’t have that respect for him but I think quickly it was a case of oh actually I need to treat this guy with respect and I think it’s hard to then turn that
On um but I also think that Francis is a phenomenal learner I think he’s proven to time and time again with his story and his life and the way he’s done things and defied odds over and over again I think that he is the type of guy
That just can pull these big moments out the bag and um he boxed phenomenally well and I truly do believe I don’t think I know what happened on Friday night happened I don’t believe there’s another heavyweight that does that to him if I’m being honest in boxing wow
Okay and I don’t ask you specifically about that but just curious um you know your your first time working with AJ was was that the Germaine Franklin fight or was it the helenus fight no it was the um Otto Wallen fight it was the OT Wallen fight wow that was
Your first time H how long before wow for some reason I thought it was the helenus fight uh how long before the otan fight did you guys link up was it the beginning of the training camp or like or the beginning of the train well after the helenus fight he doesn’t live
Too far from me and they got in contact about potentially just using the gym to do a bit of training down the gym uh he knows he’s used one of the guys in my gym as a sparring partner he knows a few of the guys that are coached from the GB
Squad that they’ve been friends for years again he doesn’t live far from the gyms it was just the case of him using the gym the auto Walling fight happened to come about there wasn’t much time of traveling back and forth to the UK it was a short notice and uh you know we
Decid decided to to work together for that fight and the rest is history did you have any kind of relationship beforehand uh a little bit a little bit you know again he’s quite local so there’s a few mutual friends Etc um but nothing nothing major what
Did you make of the the AJ that you are now going to link up with because um I talked about it a lot last week in August of 2022 when he lost usyk for the second time it looked like to a lot of people that he was done that he was
Having maybe a mental emotional breakdown and I thought a lot of people especially in the UK were unfair to him because he had done such great things for the country and were just kicking him while he was down at his lowest moment and then slowly but surely he’s
Building himself back up with the Franklin fight the every time out he looks better and better but he hadn’t quite fought you know top level competition with all due respect to those guys so the guy that you saw and met as you say okay let’s go for OV
Valin what did you make of that person that was you know standing in front of you um I think by the time by the time the fight come about there had been a few conversations about certain scenarios certain fight fight we’ shown him a few Clips I think by the
Time the fight come about there was a a certain level of trust that he gave to us to be like actually what these guys are saying is true and they’ve got evidence to back it up so I can see why they’re asking me to do or why they
Would want me to do what they’re saying to do so I was extremely confident from that point he’s extremely coachable and I said to him if you said to me that our first fight working together was Alexander USI and you trust what we’re asking you to do I’d be confident I said
To him that you will get out of these next this next fight with Otto Rin what you wanted to get out of the first two fights coming back from the the USI defeats and um I’m confident that’s what he got um again we are only we only
Supplement what he a what what he’s able to do he’s got this amazing tour bag an Olympic gold medalist the two-time unified heavyweight champion of the world all we help him do is just select the right tools for the job and uh is extremely coachable extremely professional he’s an absolute pleasure
To work with and that that combined um mix has led to to these fantastic performances was there any concern on your part because let’s be honest he has bounced around a little bit as far as head trainers are concerned that you would give him so much that there would
Be this commitment on your end and then after that fight he would go back to someone else no and I wouldn’t ever see that as being a problem a fighter only has one career and it’s really important that they make the decisions that they feel hand on their heart is best for them
Sometimes it happens to be business-wise that they make a change sometimes it’s genuinely hand on their heart they feel like they can make better improvements elsewhere whatever that reason is if that’s how a fighter feels they only have one chance at one career they need to do whatever they feels right for them
So if a fighter ever wants to leave you know I never ever have a problem with that uh I’ve I’ve heard you say in interviews that you don’t love the sort of like uh rejuvenated ha or the redemp all that why do you not like those labels being put on
Him just because it’s not put on him do you know what I mean I think what I don’t like is when they almost Tred to say that we’ve rejuvenated AJ or anything like that because the work is his the performances are his there’s only one man that steps in those ropes
We step out of them so um it’s his hard work it’s him who’s you know put under immense pressure and has to perform under the lights and uh it’s him this just going in there and doing it so um yeah it’s all on him you know like I
Said numerous times he’s the ultimate professional and he’s reaping the rewards from that how are you feeling in the changing room on Friday before the fight as as you’re there he’s coming to the arena you’re gearing up it’s going to be like 3:00 in the morning as you
Guys walk it’s at an ungodly hour how are you feeling how are the nerves what are you sensing from him yeah I’m always pretty Fight Night to be honest I think um the work the work is almost done by that point we know what we need to do
The fighter knows what he needs to do and it’s just a matter of case of going in there and executing and um when you’ve prepared properly and you’ve got a professional team with a professional fighter you know there is no reason for that not to happen and um I was
Extremely confident that if he went in there and done the right things he was going to get a result and that’s what he got if if we would have talked candidly before the fight What would was your feeling as far as how the fight would end and when it would
End um there was a few people I spoke to before and that since the fight have come out say oh Ben actually you told me off camera Etc which and I don’t think Francis doesn’t have a chin but I don’t think it had ever been tested properly
To the extent that people were claiming it to be I think he he he is very tough he like he’s known for it obviously in the the MMA world and um he showed that in in the Tyson Fury fight as well I just think no matter how good your chin
Is when you’re getting hit with punches that you can’t see by somebody like Anthony Joshua no Chin’s gonna hold up against that and I just felt like that was the key creating situations where he wouldn’t see the punches um you know taking his mind elsewhere before hitting him with
Something else that was the key uh making sure that he was reacting to something while being made to pay for something else and um I feel like AJ done a good job with that what were you thinking when you saw him switch to Southpaw we prepared for that and we
Knew that he would struggle to defend if AJ done a couple of things beforehand to set a certain scenario up he’d struggled to defend the right hand from himself South po St and that’s what happened I just think it was it was a mistake on his behalf but I understand he’s done
That again we had little looks at his MMA career he’s done that throughout his career as well so um that was something that we prepared for and and what is that scenario when he switches to Southpaw what’s the scenario that you can capitalize on I’m not going to go into too many
Details but um we just knew that he would struggle to he’s not naturally a Southall we knew that if AJ done a few things and established a few things it would make it hard for him to know where or when the punches are coming from
Which would lead to AJ land and a flush right hand and again doesn’t matter how good your chin is if AJ’s hitting you flush with a right hand you’re going to go down do do you watch MMA are you are you a person who um I I I watch some I
Watch some um I don’t follow it religiously I used to actually probably watch a little bit more Chuck El days okay those sort of times um but I know little bits and I watch some bits the reason I ask is as you may know it’s a lot more common for fighters to switch
Stances in MMA as opposed to boxing someone switches stances in boxing a lot is M Terence Crawford like oh people go on and on about this in MMA as you say with Francis like it’s just more common why do you think that is why do you
Think in MMA people do it a lot more and it’s just sort of hoam and in boxing you either really stick to Orthodox or Southpaw it’s very rare that someone will actively switch stances I don’t know I imagine I imagine a lot of it is due to the leg kicks I would imagine
Um I think sometimes Fighters that are able to switch in boxing they would switch to maybe I want to create a bit more distance against this fighter or if it’s naturally a southpaw versus Orthodox the distance is a little bit further I might switch to be a little bit closer
Um so yeah you know I don’t know you’re probably better off asking a uh an MMA expert on that one fair enough um what was so fascinating about not only AJ’s reaction to The Knockout but your reaction it was so businesslike you do guys just go in there fist bump ain’t no
Thing he’s walking around like he hardly even smiled and meanwhile sitting ringside it was pretty scary I I’ve never seen Francis Rock knock down knocked out and he was out for a minute or two then the oxygen applied um I know you you’re happy for your guy and all
That but for you like was that are you able to look at him and is that one of the scarier Knockouts that you’ve ever witnessed live yeah to be honest I’ve I’ve been in the corner of a couple of of uh bad Knockouts to be honest recently I had um
One of my Lads Alloys Junior with a with a devastating knockout and yeah after this knockout we got in a ring and as you say me and AJ spoty but we could see obviously Francis was out cold so always in that situation number one you’re respectful two you’re concerned
Um so it’s always you want to be obviously there’s the lewood mccon one as well where he celebrated before we understood that you know he was out cold and then you want to you know it’s concerning it’s concerning so um you want to again be respectful but you want
To make sure that everything’s okay before you you look to celebrate and enjoy it uh yeah the The conla Knockout was one of the scarier ones but I I love the way you and Le all handled it after you you recognized just how scary it was
Him falling out of the ring like that um and so you would you would tell Francis like if if he asked you to to keep pursuing this to not stop doing it you think that he can have success maybe not against the upper echelon at this juncture but against some of the other
Guys in the heavyweight division yeah you got to think like who he’s gone up against in these first couple of fights like I think if he was to drop it down a level I think he even even at the level that he’s at he got caught with a shot I
Think he’d be a handful I think he’ll be a handful for anybody um and if I’m honest when he come out in round one I could see and I haven’t spoke to his team but I can assure you that they would say he made tremendous improvements from the first
Boxing match to the second I know it doesn’t look that way because of the end result but I can assure you that’s what they would say because I could see it even as quick as the fight was ended and what happened happened I could see from the offset he made massive improvements
From the first fight to that fight and I think he’d continually to make improvements because he’s that type of character and I’ve got a hell of a lot of respect for him what did you notice in that brief moment that made you feel like he had improved
Greatly just his Bas his leg seemed a lot better his posture seemed a lot better um he had a little bit more Tempo about him in moments um again I know it was a brief period but just those those things there showed me signs of improvements instantly do
You think this should end the MMA boxing crossover fights or again and I tried to say this to Francis uh after the post fight press conference that he deserves a hell of a lot of respect because he said something at the press conference
And I have to I have to back him on this if any of these guys were to step into the cage with him it’s game over they have one chance and one shot to land a clean shot and if they don’t and he gets a hold of them it’s over
Um I understand a big part of France’s game was his St is his standup game if I’m not mistaken um I think so therefore it does make a little bit more sense for him coming across the Box in and again you know look he’s fantastic he’s done fantastic business
And changed his his family and his future F next generation of family’s life um financially so really pleased to him in that sense but I understand there must be a certain element of frustration knowing that if it was to that these guys were to go into the cage you know he would be
The one with the advantages uh there’s a very famous MMA fighter one of the greatest ever named Demetrius Johnson he’s one of the most decorated champions in UFC history who has said uh since that fight that he thinks AJ beats Francis in an MMA fight what do you
Think of that well it depends if there was the stand up not to say he couldn’t if there was the stand up but if it was to go to the ground and you know AJ was to have I don’t know if he’s ever done any jiujitsu or any work like that but
You would favor Francis in that scenario if they was to stand off each other in the cage then you probably would still favor Anthony Joshua what I mean by what I was saying was there must be an element of frustration knowing France is like I’ve stepped
Across to your world right um I know previously there has been um Tim Sylvia James Tony stepped across into the into the um into the Octagon but you know I know as of late Conor McGregor stepped across Nate Diaz has stepped across Francis andu has stepped across and uh
So far none of the guys have have done the same back and I don’t blame them to be honest yes although I do think that he beat Tyson Fury on October 28th but that’s neither here nor there it was a close one um but yeah
This is this this is what I was saying like hand of my heart genuinely do think he will be an issue for all of the heavyweight um so obviously I know that uh this is up to AJ and Eddie but just curious your thoughts as well there’s an
Interesting thing now to to deal with because we know that Tyson and and Alexander usk are fighting on May 18th Tyson Fury has told me mult times that there is a rematch clause both ways regardless of what happens so that means by the time AJ gets his shot at the
Winner and he is that guy we’re talking probably 2025 would you like for him to just wait or would you like to to see him remain active and fight someone in the interm I don’t know we’ll have to play it by year I think what’s important is
That no decision gets made before May 18th the reality is I know there’s a rematch clause but if that’s fight if that fight is a conclusive one-sided fight either way where people aren’t overly interested in in the um in the rematch there might be a chance for
Anthony Joshua to to fight the winner of that fight so I think we have to sit tight for the moment and then play it by ear post May 18th do you have a preference a Trilogy against usyk or the one we’ve been talking about seemingly for a decade him versus
Tyson no I don’t have a preference um again like what you said post after the victory just seeing business is strictly business you know and uh we’ll see May 18th how how the how the land lies and um the heavyweight the heavyweight landscape can constantly changeed so yeah France has put himself
In there off a one one performance against Tyson Fury so again like I say the landscape can always change especially in the heavyweight division so we’ll uh we’ll we’ll see how it’s lying after May 18th just curious given your previous working relationship with Tyson would that be awkward for
You we have to see we’ll have to see look there’s a lot of love and respect there I saw him before the fight um no hard feelings you know like I say there’s a hell of a lot of respect there um so yeah I still don’t get that one
I’m sure you want to plead the fifth and and and move on things are going great for you I that that still will forever baffle me while you guys didn’t stick together well this is boxing like I said earlier you know whatever reason fighs and trainers and coaches and managers
And promoters you know relationships are always breaking down business-wise doesn’t mean they have to break down and there has to be a Fallout and calling each other bad names you know there should always be a level of Integrity in in in my um in my belief and the level
Of respect and uh I I I hope hope to think that any fighter that’s previously work with me feels like there’s been that from my side and I I like to feel like there’s been that from their side as what that’s important to me safe to assume you’re you’re you’re sticking
With AJ AJ sticking with you you guys are gonna keep on doing this like I say you know I can’t make any decisions for him this is uh he’s boxing people come people go um I never hold any grudges against any fighter that wants to wants to move on and wants
To work with someone else and explore other things so every relationship in boxing is fight by fight so um it’d be a pleasure to carry on working with him but again it’s you know it’s not for me to to assume or or make these commitments for him well that would be
An even greater shocker if uh that didn’t continue so I feel like I feel like you’re in a good spot uh two last very quick ones if I may uh what about my guy lewood is his next fight going to be at the city ground or not what are we
Doing here what like what’s taking so long the city ground next fight is off the table unfortunately um that’s not going to happen so we had some bad news there we’re currently looking at what what options we have um I think Lee’s goingon to have a meeting with
Eddie um but he’s also now a free agent so he can explore some other options as well so news coming on Lee wood do you have concerns about Ryan Garcia obviously uh you know you work with Devon and he speaks very highly of the
Work you and Lee Wy have done for him to get him to this point there’s some concern about Ryan do you have concern about him um I don’t think we’re in a position to be able to concern ourselves with Ryan we have to be professional and
Focus and just be committed to the fight going ahead because we can’t get caught slipping as we would say um it’s important that we just stay focused prepare as though Ryan’s going to turn up as the best Ryan has ever been and um you know he’s a high level operator he’s
A top quality fighter so maybe he’s trolling us maybe he’s trying to trick us so you know our job is to to remain professional and again Devin Haney ultimate professional um from the first day that I met him um I was very very impressed with his mentality his
Mindset uh his eagerness to improve and um again he’s another he’s a pleasure to work with and he’s he’s a true professional himself so I know that he’ll be prepare preparing properly we’re doing our work preparing properly and um it’s on Ryan to to do the same
Okay sorry one last Quick One if I made it’s the biggest one of all the biggest question that I can ask you here today and then we’ll say goodbye who do you got Jake Paul or Mike Tyson um so is this an exhibition uh my understanding is they haven’t quite
Finalized that they wanted to be a pro bout it is not true that there will be headgear here it will be a regular boxing about the questions that need to be answered are prob bout or not the the the rounds the amount of rounds and also um the weight I think will be
Heavyweight but uh those are the two big ones and what they would like for it to be is a pro bout so it’s it’s going to be 10 oun gloves no head guard no headu guard yeah I don’t know about the gloves just yet
10 or 12 but uh that yeah how do you feel about this somebody put something the other day where although me personally I’m disappointed and wouldn’t don’t want to see this who am I to tell Mike Tyson that I’m disappointed on his own life decisions I’m nobody
So he will have his own reasons as to why he’s going ahead with this he’s a very very smart man A very wise man and I trust that even if we are blind to it and cannot see it and if it was to go wrong for him we would well a lot of
People would point and laugh and and say what did he do this for we may never know the answers as to the true reasons behind why he’s doing this I trust that he knows why He’s doing it and that he is making the right decision for himself for whatever reason
It is that he’s doing it personally I wish it wasn’t happening however you know our respect and Trust in in the decisions that he makes in his own life is he’s a wise man a smart man and um I just wish him the best and I hope that
Whatever reason it is that he’s doing it he manages to um fulfill whatever it is that he’s looking to fulfill by uh by by going ahead with his fight fair enough respect that uh congratulations thank you so much for coming on great to have you on
Great to pick your brain congrats on all your success and uh I hope it continues for a very long time good luck with the upcoming fights uh appreciate you giving us some time and uh waxing poetic on all this and a little bit of insight into
How you got it done it’s fascinating to me so great stuff and I appreciate it very much no pleasure thank you and to you and all your success as well thank you so much there he is coach Ben Davidson the headman for the likes of Anthony Joshua he was there uh ringside
And what a win for him and the team uh on Saturday we found out that Yani and J is the latest fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame it goes down International fight week in Las Vegas the event is June 29th so a little
Earlier than usual and this is not a sometimes there’s controversial ones this is not a controversial one she is the one that put the strawweight division on the map she is the strawweight queen she is Joanna violence she is the pride of Poland uh without her who knows maybe there isn’t a
Strawweight division anymore maybe it just Fizzles out she she was the one carrying that flag and watching her do her thing as Champion was nothing short of amazing it was an incredible run which almost never even happened she is here for the first time in a while to
Talk about it all the great Yan on J hello Yanna long time no speak good to see you Ariel it’s a pleasure and I’m back in the game wait wait wait I’m back in the game oh I like it I like those well done so no but honestly happy talk
To you you know I love you I admire you and happy to be back uh you know I know that there are this upcoming prospects new Champions so they deserve the spot uh on your show but super happy as you can hear uh it was an emotional weekend
For me in Miami I was screaming you could hear me screaming the whole my fight and what happened after it just blew my mind and I was crying like a baby because I was not expecting the introduction into the Hall of Fame youc uh yeah I’m just super happy try and get
Back to shape yes so you had no idea that was happening the video the announcement anything like that no when I saw the video and so I saw Heidi she’s the one she’s my sweetheart but she’s the one who puts the cameras in the front of the fighters the special guests
And then I saw like more and more people coming and I was like hell no and I saw my manager and like Gordon r brought me a cockta and he was like it’s our tradition so I was just sitting on it and she was like put it down and I was
Like why like what what you talking about and then it happened you know like I was not expecting that’s why I was crying there the only thing I was saying was like I’m not ready for I’m not ready for it means I’m old it means I’m really
Retired I’m not ready but honestly it was one of my dreams after becoming UFC fighter UFC champion and I wanted to to be so dominant and and and I was somehow and and it just happened and it just St in my legacy you know and I’m just I’m feeling honored it was amazing
To see the love that you got uh from the arena the Ovation um and I don’t know are you familiar with the guy who was standing behind you Action Bronson in the basketball jersey he gave you you know who he is Legend we knew each we
Knew each other and H actually before my fight with RWS in New York I was shooting some content before the fight he was super nice super polite so uh there’s a story about that he was like we were cooking because he had this this cooking show with some Chef yes a very
Famous chef and they started smoking with and I was like I told Len from the hey I’m not feeling like good with people smoking around uh me before the fight so he was like he was super gentle super polite he was like no I was like
So listen I will just go back and I will I wait backstage and then I will be back you know and he was like no we’re not going to smoke we are our guest and you have to stay here we super happy this can wait and I fell in love with Action
Bronson so every time we H see each other at the UFC ven usually we hug we talk we we share the love and it was just amazing you know incredible and when I turned back he was just there we spoke before but my the closest person
There was Jennifer G my manager who I Who I Really Love Of course then lbert the owner of at Richard the manager they were there at the arena but yeah it was it was hell of a right uh I saw uh Dana White come up to you um in the midst of
All that yes what what did they say to you all of all of the UFC employees and you know I became a manager and I teach this young Fighters but it’s not about them because sometimes we Fighters forget that but there are people working for these three letters for the UFC from
Early mornings from weeks weeks before the every venue happens you know so uh every venue happens so every venue happens so I’m always like I was and I am super respectful person on my daily basic to everyone every human on on on the earth I know people will start
Talking [ __ ] about my third D blah blah blah I know who I am but H so I was happy that I got so much love from the UFC employees that night and of course day night especially because he changed my life and Hunter but I remember
Lorenzo sh Shelby and and josa but there there there still will be a time for me to thank all of these people but I always tell people do not forget about people who are helping you you know it’s the show is not only about you not only
About the fight of course it’s the Cherry of the top of every UFC venue but there are people who are preparing and working as hard as you as we we Fighters you know for sure for sure that is 100% accurate um but Dana he said that he
Said he said that uh he he he L me he fell in love with my fighting style from the beginning and and I just told him that I will love him forever and I will never forget and I’m very very loyal person and they really changed my life
And actually I proved that many times but one thing is that two two two months after I retired I’ve got an offer from European organization to be like a co- commentator or how you call this I don’t know like for in European in Europe and they wanted to test Me Maybe become like
A full employee like but first thing I did was I called Len and I called Dana and I told them that I’m not ready to switch organizations you know even for to do some commentating you know because like loyalty is like number one rule in my life um if it’s about business friendship
Relationship uh family relationships as well so yeah loyalty guys loyalty yes uh that is very important and so I’m wondering you know the last time we saw you was in June of 2022 as a fighter against Jang Willi the rematch um did you ever last time as far as fighting
Did you get close you know it’s people in in MMA they retire they come back we just found out jge mazal is coming back in boxing did you yes to fight Nate Diaz but are are oh I heard that yeah yeah I didn’t know it was announced I’m happy
For were you ever close to coming back in the last two years uh I have to be honest with you yes and even even few days before last show in Miami I was like trying to force my manager to let me go in but my family
My some of my fans and friends they don’t want me to do this anymore and and and I’m like in between but I’m not going to fight in in the UFC ever again and uh honestly like eight months like first eight months after I retired were that the most difficult months in my
Life probably uh because I was sing every day I was even calling texting Dana Hunter my manager in Lambert my family I was going to come back actually I went to the states I don’t know if you remember if you saw that I was back to American top team in January uh last
Year and I was training really hard for four weeks and and uh I was ready to schedule a fight but then super bad injury came back and I had to go through the medical procedure and I’m still trying to get in shape after after a year oh wow is it still bothering you
Yeah uh a little bit a little bit you know because it’s super difficult it was super difficult for me because the last 20 years I Us train from two to three times a day for last 20 years and I went from three to zero for a few months it
Was really difficult for my uh for my head my body in general you know and and yeah it was it was super difficult but uh I’m getting better so I’m I just got er I just got back on mat you know some jiujitsu or training my high yeah so
When you say couple even a couple days ago you were considering it like what what exactly were you considering I don’t know maybe fighting everyone like people used to ask me who I would love to fight and I was always saying that they all want to fight
Me but because I felt like I was the the doorkeeper you know the gatekeeper uh for big fights and big money but of course I was like just joking you know me I always wanted to fight no matter where and and what time and but yeah maybe like you know I think
People would love to see me and mcken there so like typical fight between Striker and a wrestler and a Grappler yeah but now it was just I I I respect M Kenzie so much she’s friends uh she’s she’s friend of my friends so it it would not happen it wouldn’t happen so
You think definitively you never fight again uh uh right now uh yeah I will never fight again okay that could change I don’t know if if I of course like everything in our life so uh so of course people will remember what I just said to you but you know I
Can change my mind I can wake up tomorrow and say like I I’m not happy honestly I’m happy in my life I’m very happy as as woman and human and business woman blah blah blah but uh there is some some small puzzle missing in my in
My in my in my life and it’s super weird and super difficult you know because like MMA is not an easy sport and it’s super difficult especially when you get to the top and uh from fight to fight the camps are getting just more and more difficult physically and mentally and
The think is that I don’t know how to go easy I don’t know the shortcuts I always go 100% but somehow I miss this you know I miss this shitty job you know but I love this in the same time you know and uh always on
The road like so I was back home for 12 hours after three weeks and I’m on the on the on the road again we meeting somewhere we I I’m talking to you guys from Starbucks somewhere on the other part of Poland because I’m shooting some
Some TV program but uh it’s an honor so I made my time and I’m super happy but the thing is that I’m I’m doing so many things and I’m I started enjoying my life from the business and money perspective as well you know because when I was fighting I was like not
Enjoying you know and not using what I work for is it do you understand what I mean so but like I said there is something about fighting you know and and maybe I don’t know how to live outside the gy outside the Octagon but honestly I graduated another studies I
Open another business I just signed a new deal I started new TV program there and I don’t know it’s difficult man so I hope I will still be tired forever maybe you will see me in some Jiu-Jitsu competition Monday how many how many fighters do you manage and how do you
Like that how do you like managing is everything okay do you need to talk to someone no no no because my friends were loud little bit I don’t know if you can hear super nice people no that’s not a problem she saying sorry but they don’t
Have to be sorry I love him so much but I so I’m I’m I’m big friend I’m I’m I’m good friend with M gam and I’m super proud of this kid and him getting better and no I don’t I do not manage him but I was partly participating in signing him and getting
Him into the UFC so I was his good auntie you know or good friend telling him how we should do things and but then lbert is the man and he is my American father and then I love you so much and I would be not here without without you
And of course the rest of people but there will be time to thank all of them you know but so then lbert is M manager but I’m trying to help and I somehow I somehow I do so it’s like it’s a it’s a
It’s a maybe it’s it’s a h not a I do not Meine I do not manage him I have him but Robert BR who lost but I think he he has so much more potential he’s one of the fighters I I I fully signed into the
UFC he has his own manager but I was the one who responsible for uh getting Robert into the UFC uh I manage Vanessa romanoski very talented white tiger who is trying to make her transition into the into mu Tha and there is a few another like young upcoming prospects so
H yeah I hope that me sh they will be nice to me because so many people think that I was I’m the former Champion so they go easy with me but no there like have to negotiate with but I always tell them that hey guys forget that I still
Can fight and I have Dana’s number but I never I never use this in in when when we talk business you know so I go the long way of course um you know you know we didn’t uh we didn’t get a chance to talk right after that fight against J in
Uh Singapore I wish yeah could I ask you uh why did why was that the right time why did you feel like that was the time to walk away it wasn’t the right time but I still I live my life in God’s hands in God hands and you know what maybe the
Affirmation you remember me as in Bas and I used to just go and fight anyone anybody anytime anywhere and I was always going for a win and it’s not that I didn’t go for a win you know because uh my last Camp before my last fight
With Le Jun was the best camp in my life physically and mentally man I felt like a like an animal you know like super strong like I’m super proud of myself how much I push myself and I broke another limit like own limit you know like a barriers and and but I
Told my friend during fight we who came to to watch me and support me like listen he was like how you feeling I was like how am I look he was like you look great and I feel great I told him that I feel great but I told him that if
There’s something happen if I’m going to like get the hematoma again or I going to get some head damage or k I will retired because I don’t want to get I don’t want to be how you say sick I don’t want to get dysfunction how you say this like dysfunction in the future
So I told that I told him that hey man I want to I have so many P pass hobbies and passions and I feel like I’m trying to to squeeze every day like a lemon you know while making lemonade and I don’t want to pay the price for fighting on
The highest level so my decision was spontaneous but somehow I was thinking about so it doesn’t go like together you know the same way spontaneous decision and and how you say and the decision you you you you were thinking about but it happened you know it just happened and I
Walking to this fight I knew that all you know All or Nothing it that that it was going to be the toughest fight in my life and it was not maybe the KO was like tough she did it very well she was well prepared W Jank is another like great thr and that
People are watching and there is there is something about her but yeah it is what it is man it just happened and so I’m very loyal to my decisions as well so when I say A an a happens I go with an a I do not complain that b didn’t
Happen you know that’s the that’s the thing uh I see you guys Loy to yourself so I respect I respect I’m big fan of kabib and I always was and actually we have this picture from back in the day when it was some The Ultimate Fighter show or some invictor show
Uh and yeah we have this picture and it’s great to see that you know and I follow his decision you know he’s very loyal to his decision and I try to stick to my decision as well forever I love that um I I saw a photo of you and Jang
Way Le you guys were like making dumplings or something together so it seems like you’re perogi no dumping exines Dum sorry sorry sorry sorry pis yes that’s you know what she’s such such such a sweetheart you know and I remember from my f from our first face
Off uh it was the it was like a Super Bowl scrum media scrum oh yeah because that time we had Super Bowl in Miami in 2020 and I remember first pH of and she came like oh I no no it was the face of before the first fight so it was the
Media day like few days before but and she was looking at me she was like you’re so beautiful I not where but thank you and I was like I went czy like no I need this thir DS to to to make myself like more like aggressive the
Sport way she was like you’re such a beautiful I like what the heck not like beauty contest you we have to fight soon and but she was always very nice comma my pictures she she she she DMS me a few times and but funny thing because when
She saw me coming to cook at so I met Valentina but we’ve been like we know each other for like 20 years but really texting like please let me come to my place let’s have dinner and yeah it was nice to learn about her country her
Friends her history and she gave me nice flowers and nice necklace it’s too much she’s such a such a kind and person and sweet person so thank you way I promised her to come for youc 300 but I won’t make it h but way like you got it good
You know you got it good but it was it was really nice she has an amazing team amazing coaches sping Partners her like friend manager was there so I’m super proud of her and I wish her all the best and I love people who are bringing the best
Of me and definitely rol and and way are these people and yeah yeah and Valentina you and Valentina you’re you’re in a good spot your good relationship oh we were always and of course and I was super happy she was super happy when I got in when I W
The bed she was caring for me all the time and I was always cheering for van when she got to thec I was super excited and we are always good to each other you know we fought like five times five times yeah five times and yeah it was
Great you know oh the yeah now yes yes yes no problem so yeah way is the go you know you know uh Dan I mean Valentina she’s super sweetheart and she surprised me because I know she’ been to T many times actually we met in Thailand in 2006 but she speaks Tha this
Girl is this girl is legit she speaks English Spanish Russian and Tha very good way soing it’s good it’s good um you’ve told the story about before you got signed to the UFC and and and she way like Valentina shenko is one of the fighters I thought that she was never
Going to lose the that’s the thing crazy there few of them Max H away easy as well invol yeah actually yeah by the sport is unpredictable but you’ve told the story about how you were very close to not continuing to fight you didn’t get into the UFC and then you get in the
Uufc and then everything happens so it’s amazing how quick but Danny even mentioned in the post uh F press conference on Saturday how the first time he saw you fight in your debut he was so impressed he invited you to come sit next to him and watch the rest of
The card I think it was in San Jose invited me right was it in San Jose it was and he invited me to the VIP room and I met one of the Red Hot Chili Pepper Red Hot Chili Peppers leaders and he was like did you did you see her F and he
Was like no I just got here and and and then I was say my English was so bad till now but it was bad and I told him like you better watch it man in the good way and then I started Ling he was like
I love you girl you know and I I met I met oh man the big actor from the US he lives in Russia now oh stepen yes sense Legend yeah it was this show yeah so what was that like for you you’re that close you’re that close to not fighting
Anymore now all of a sudden you’re with Dana White he’s calling that that must have been a crazy thing right your head must have been spinning oh it was but when people ask me about my fa my the most important fight they all think it was the title fight or the title
Defenses or the pay-per-view shows I always tell them it was the first fight in the UFC because they let me shine and I shine I got a chance this is what I’m trying to teach young people upcoming prospects look how many prospects there was there is and they get into the FC
Like some of the Polish guys they were very good and they get into thec so sorry for my go voice guys but they get into the FC and they feel so comfy I’m inan the AFC I’m the fighter I’m good no you’re getting a chance but now it’s time to
Put double the work like work more harder to prove that you deserve winning and climbing to the top of the rankings to the fighting for the B some of the fighters they they don’t need to they don’t want to fight for the best it’s good they just want to fight it they’re
Just enjoying I don’t know I had different I had different sports Ambitions you know and it was like amazing for me but I always felt that I belong to something different in this world even like now I’m always on the on the road so I got back home for 12 hours
And I’m going to be on the road for next two weeks wow and look I do not belong to normal life you know and I knew that and I’m super happy I got a chance so I always tell people about the Chan is that we can’t let them go it’s not
Enough to dream only dream about some we have to put in tons of work to make this dream happen and bring the lck somehow help the lck you know help the universe and get what the universe is trying trying us to tell and show and sometimes
We are too blind you know because we look for we always look for some big signs the signs are are the signs are very small you know very small I love this perspective this is a very deep and Inter perspective Yan I love it and and
And and and every show every fight for me so why I super because every fight in thec even when I was the champion was the was the debut for me you know so I every time I was trying to prepare the best way I possibly could you know so
Physically mentally I know I lost a few fights but I remember giving like probably one of my best fights with Jessica andash and fighting rose right after I was even better prepared Something’s Happened was in like good shape like you know I would not do something things I would not say some
Things I would because but that time I felt different and I did the right things you know I feel like people don’t believe me but I delivered the true and you know the true we always lasting you know mhm and that’s the that’s the that’s the
Thing you know and and even I when I was losing I was always better version of myself than than than the fight before and what I’m trying to tell young people no matter what color is your skin religion orientation gender like a status material status like what your
Parents are doing you know and you deserve becoming who you want to be in your life and your dreams can be alive but you have to be disciplined I used to say that the hard work brought me to the top no it was discipline guys that the
The moment when you when you have to say no to your friends they going for pizza or beer or when there are doctors who are saying you won’t make it you’re from this town you don’t deserve big America you don’t deserve this big living this
Big American Dream yes I do and yes you do so you can hurt anybody but if you’re good with it like if you good the if you go the good way and if you believe in yourself if you discipline enough and if you work hard go and do it you know and
CH your biggest D do do you know who’s going to in induct you who’s going to be the one to make the speech before you haven’t thought of that or have you I have some I have someone in my mind but let’s see if my intuition is is strong
As I think it is okay okay so we’ll keep it uh man I want to I want to cry super emotional you know like wow real it was it was it was real you know and I was full of emotion after gam fight and few of at Fighters Man Dustin poror man you
B this [ __ ] but I’m super proud of m g and what I want to tell you like some people say comment that he’s a boring fighter but I remember when people used to call kabib fight he’s living legend he’s one of the greatest right now guys and
Believe me or not m g is going to fight for the Bel sooner or later 2025 I love that any regrets I’m super proud of you my friend I super proud of you my friend yeah me G well I thought I thought you me me
I’m proud of you as a friend I thought you were talking about me huh thank you uh do you have any hey man I like I like the I like the coach you had a you had a you had a before for me Ben Ben DAV yes
Anthony Jos amazing I I I I would love to talk to him and he’s amazing I know who he is but yeah I forgot his name about Ben yeah but amazing what yeah what he was talking about it was it was really I have to I have to rewatch it it
Was was really good and I love how he uh how he make make his shared his opinion about uh T Tyson side and like we all are different guys let’s let let let’s let let like how we say like that we should let each other do the things we
Want to do yes yes we should let you know that you know that so yeah so that’s the that’s the thing we all changing as in humans but the good thing and I’m super proud you can SM M because I’m changing as I’m human you know I’m I’m I’m not going through therapy
Guys life is my therapy but I’m happy how I’m changing on daily basic but the good thing is that even in my worst days I’m trying to smile and take it as it is that’s the best way that’s the best way you know and then there the Miracles are
Showing up well I am uh I’m so happy for you I’m delighted for you no one deserves it more like I said you’re a pioner and uh you’re an absolute Legend and it was a pleasure to watch your fights and cover your fights and to get
To know you over the years so I was so happy to see you get this honor and I can’t wait for you to take your rightful place in the UFC Hall of Fame in June actually imagine like last two years because it’s going no it’s one and a half year yeah after I
Retired but look that I haven’t prepared my retirement like a speech or statement because I was not ready for you know but there is so many people I have to thank for and sometimes people and young athletes or even like people in like oh I have nobody who help me like remember
That your father or your friend who brought you to I don’t know tennis on the tennis CT or to the gym they are the one who help you but sometimes we forget about these small things people do for us you know or done for us so uh yeah
That thing I’m going to help but at the end of my career winning and losing I found the people I really trusted and I fell in love it’s the lber Mikey Brown CLE kues Davies Mikey Ro dar dar all the at coaches you know my physiotherapist c m
Um well there’s so many people like reach oh the whole at I want the belt with different team and I’m very very thankful to Aran or my coaches P shim all the teammates and actually my first coach as well from back in the day but
There will be time for but at I I owe you a lot forever so I’m but and I’m going to be the UFC Soldier forever and I keep on dreaming keep on dreaming and work hard and I love you I don’t know we have to we have to go but I’m looking
Forward to see you live talk to you live in New York okay I love it anytime you’re you’re welcome anytime thank you so much for doing this Yan I appreciate and congratulations again I appreciate you take care bye bye bye there she is the great Yani and J Che will be
Inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in June International fight week now speaking of Las Vegas yeah that’s me why why are you talking about the thing that happened there with the friend thing yeah yeah yeah we go by that go right there we go I thought you was I thought
You was H by me anyway uh this Saturday UFC is back Las Vegas Apex what a main event the big boys at the Apex and let me tell you it’s been so long since we talked to our next guest I don’t even remember the last time we talked to him because it’s so
Hard he’s in another part of the world and he’s just he’s just a superstar now it’s hard to nail him down but I’m so excited that he’s back because I’m I’m I’m feeling big things for Bam Bam for our old friend Ty tuivasa is he really
There is Ty really there in Las Vegas there he is my in the house what’s going on where you been chill I’ve been around l oh my gosh I missed you my friend it’s been so long I don’t even remember I thought you were
Mad at me oh no never never mad at you look at this hair by the way can we talk about this hair yeah I can’t afford a haircut I need a wind it looks good I like it when’s the last time you got a haircut uh uh [ __ ] that’s a good
Question before that I’ve been growing since the last part so I don’t know okay is this is this like a statement you’re trying to make are you saying you’re not going to cut it for a certain amount of time or is it just how you’re feeling I’m just I don’t know I’m just
Going with the flow I like it you look like Roman Reigns Let The Kills Rock I like it I like it it’s a good you’re looking spelt by the way Roman yeah you look like Roman reigns with the pony tail yeah tell me again tell me again yeah you’re look spelt you’re looking
Very thin yeah it’s been a long Camp bro I feel good this probably best I felt coming into a far really it’s good good yeah what’s the difference uh I’ve had some uh I’ve had to get some few things cleaned up I had a few surgeries on my elbows and the
Knees and it’s just been a long it’s been a long camp but a really good camp but I’m over it now I just want to H get in there and swack on is that why you’ve been out for several months uh yeah I had to I had to push the fight
Back a little bit because I I had to get my miniscus removed damn I was had to fight Anaheim but um my um miniscus tall flipped so I had to remove that and then I just pushed the fight back four weeks so made a longer can I could have fought in but I
Gave myself some I need to give myself every chance to win this fight so okay so that was your decision to to move the fight from manaheim yeah yeah me the team me the team yeah and Anaheim wasn’t that long ago is this enough time to be
100% yeah I could have fought Anaheim okay I could have F but like I just wanted to give myself extra time but I feel good now ready to roll I’m happy about that the one part that is a little bit unfortunate I would say is that you’re such a fan favorite in your
Walkouts and everything about you is just so electric that the Tai tubasa experience at the Apex doesn’t quite hit the same are are you disappointed about this that it’s not in front of 20,000 people in Anaheim oh there’s always ups and downs I love the crowd you know I
Love the crowd but maybe I might be a bit more focused in you know I can I can listen to my corner more and I can get the job done and once I get back in the winning column give me back the crowd okay fair enough what about the smaller
Cage how do you feel about that hey that’s good for me I suppose yeah Nowhere to Run nowhere to hide no I don’t mind the smaller cage I like it it’s more intimate yeah okay fair enough uh obviously your walkouts are legendary but can you do the funny walk out at the
Apex does that still hit the same yeah I just walk it out by myself what are we thinking we have something in uh in in mind you know you know I got time okay it’s a surprise it’s always a surprise okay fair enough fair enough fair enough um
And what what about just honestly how you are feeling going into this uh no secret that it’s been a bit of a tough stretch right so how was the confidence been a bit oh my confidence is always there my confidence is good I my confidence is good cuz I’ve actually
Fought this Camp I actually been punching and kicking my last Camp I didn’t just due to injuries I didn’t I didn’t get much punching or kicking in at all so it was kind of yeah it was tough but I but this Camp I feel really good I’m back with my back
With my my OG team and and I’ve been back at home I’ve been training at home with my son and stuff so Been a Long Camp bro I just want to get out there and get the win and uh lose myself in Las Vegas somewhere do do you regret
Taking that last fight because you couldn’t be 100% no I was uh the c i I took the fight because I I was I thought it was it would be a good fight which which it ended up being a good fight it was actually better than I thought um but
Just during the camp just injuries [ __ ] there’s a lot of [ __ ] that people don’t see you know and uh but you got to you got to rock up every day and go to work so the job’s got to get done and the bills got to get paid right and and why
You know I know there was a time when you were training in uh the UAE right away from family why now go back home Co apparently okay what do you mean well I left Australia because they locked it down I couldn’t got it got it
Got it yeah me and rules don’t do too well so I had to I had to get up out of there and so when they open things up you felt like you could go back oh I missed my son yeah if it wasn’t for son
I could just be a gypsy I could just move anywhere but uh I love my son I miss him and I’ll never get the time back that that I’m away from him so especially during these years you know he he’s a little me too so he kind of
Needs me to to be there discipline anymore he he’ll run him Mar yeah how old is he now he’s eight eight this year does he uh turns seven now seven now so so still still young but does he express interest in following in your footsteps oh no no he’s too good I told
Him you know he likes soccer and that’s fine I still need to learn the rules but uh he’s too goodl looking to be fighting okay he’s a future soccer R well yeah I hope so they make good money so I wish him the best you wouldn’t want him to do
This no no no no no no personally no I wouldn’t uh why not uh fighting’s uh fighting is uh he hasn’t grown up the way I’ve grown up so I don’t think he needs to learn how to do this go to school be smart and uh find good
Friends you had to do this you felt like you had to do this well fighting was either going to get me in trouble or get me out and it got me out so IED it and I’m very fortunate for fighting I love fighting but for him I don’t really feel feel why
Go to goes to a private school you hang out with some private school friends you don’t need to go fighting that’s um even in the midst of this this streak here do you still love it oh I love fighting I love fighting I love coming back I love being uh you
Know uh it’s win or lose and I love that and I’m on I’m on a free loss streak so the only way I can come back from that is to [ __ ] win but what’s crazy about it is you were on a great streak before
That so how do you how do you come to terms with like the the Jackel and HDE of the last few years of your career well now it’s time to come back yes I’ve been here before you know so it’s nothing I haven’t seen and and uh I
Suppose I fought better on my backs against the wall okay when there’s when there’s pressure on you when people are doub prates yes yes yes yes um and and and do you feel like people are doubting you do you feel like people have forgotten about you that they’re riding oh yeah
You always see like little people but the thing is I’m losing against [ __ ] serial G Serge pavic these guys ain’t no just callings off the street Alex v vov like you know these guys if I was losing against some bombs [ __ ] I’d brought myself off too but these guys are the
Best in the world so I’m sweet I just got to keep my head straight uh Martian tabir is he’s a great fight he’s been around a long time as well is very experienced but I’m going to come out and and if I dink him I’ll sink him
Simple you like this matchup like when he was offered to you originally yeah yeah I think it’s a good matchup I obviously you know he’s going to try and drag me into later rounds and that’s that’s my challenge is to to get in there land my shots and and uh get it
Over with and enjoy my birthday in the beautiful Las Vegas when is the birthday when is it sorry I fought on my birthday on your birthday wow that is amazing I didn’t know that I apologize uh have you ever fought on your birthday before this
Is my first time so oh this is something oh yeah you’re turning uh the big 3-1 yeah three 31 and done is that it is this your retirement fight come on bro you know mean I’m just get started yes yes yes how much long you want to do this
For oh I’ve got a few more years left in me well well fighting is up and downs you know yeah it’s I I’ve still got a few more years in me but I I don’t want to do this for all of my life you know I
Think I’ve got other things I can do what’s the dream after this post fighting modeling modeling yeah that’s what I thought you were gonna say plus siiz modeling heard it’s cracking it’s it’s kicking off these days I heard so I’m gonna is it I guess so yeah I don’t
Know you tell me what do you think you’re we in at on Friday oh I’m nearly on weight so I’m pretty pretty good so 265 yeah yeah I’m nearly there wow you have to so you kind of have to like a little bit cut weight yeah I always cut weight over the
Camp yeah like where do you start at oh it depends depends when you catch me yeah yeah are we are we are we not drinking beer in the camp anymore no oh occasionally a bit of drink West goes down here and there you know but we got our zero carb
Drink West so oh wow we’re trying to trying to look after the the fit people as well you know who is that the Dr the the the company that you have with with Tyson yeah yeah that’s it I love it now and and and what did you what did you uh
What did you think of him retiring were you expecting that did you know that he was going to retire after that fight uh he told me he had something going on I didn’t know he was going to retire but uh I I know on on the outside of things
You know we’re we’re fathers before we’re Fighters and and uh he needs to to make sure his family sweet and uh whatever he needs to do I’ll back him and I’ll always support him okay um I saw a couple weeks ago man you and and JDM Jack Dela Don gako hanging out with
Ria Ripley hanging out with the WWE Stars Grayson Waller what was that like in Perth that was really cool I’ve watched wrestling since I was a little kid obviously not as much anymore but know to go and see the whole production of it it’s [ __ ] sick man sick how
They put it all together and they’re they’re they’re crazy athletes man they’re out there jumping off [ __ ] [ __ ] running into stuff it’s it’s it’s it’s full on it’s cool i’ love to do it you would like to do it yeah I could be on that mic you know me hell
Yeah you could be a part of the bloodline you’re you’re Simone right one IAL to you talk to them they’re cool guys huh they’re really cool really cool who was the coolest backstage like the the one that you got most excited meeting well that was a funny thing I didn’t
Really know any of that because I’m more like I know I gotta be honest I’m more like mankind xack China you know what I mean like but R Ripley is a huge star now well I watched her she won the belt there again she’s she she’s Aussie she
She’s Aussie and Grayson Waller this guy he’s a gigantic MMA fan you did the shoy with him yeah yeah I hung out with him for a little bit too he’s he awesome guy too from out out west as well okay really where where you’re from oh not
Not close to where but but yeah not far did you meet the game Triple H no I didn’t I didn’t I would love to him he’s sick he’s old school yeah that’s from your era uh it’s cool to see like the the crossover I feel like JDM
Didn’t know who anyone was that’s my guess JDM don’t know what they is sometimes you see his you see his fight on set what a guy huh and he broke his arm too what a soldier crazy that final sequence there it looks like he was done and then 30 seconds
Later he’s knocking him out never can uh when you uh when did you get to Las Vegas I got here Sunday Sunday Sunday so chilling yeah six days before yeah yeah is that enough time with the time difference oh [ __ ] it doesn’t matter I’m going to
Go out there and fight what is the time difference is like 11 hours or something behind day in front day in front yeah so it’s full day right yeah we’re full day right it’s pretty I hate America is the only country that I can’t get really used to the sleeping patterns yeah so
Now it’s 6:18 in the morning tomorrow so on a oh wow on a Friday do you feel like you have uh no on Thursday yeah Thursday yeah I don’t even know what that do you feel like you’ve uh acclimated oh who knows I don’t I
Probably not I was up at 3:00 a.m. in the morning last night [ __ ] sake as long as I’m up for the fight that’s all good sweet that’s true that’s true so yeah the fight will happen uh I think around like 10: p.m. which is like 10:00 a.m.
Your time but by then you should be good no no no think no 7 p.m. 7 p.m. I was thinking New York time but yeah yeah Las Vegas time so it’s like 7: a.m. but I I think you’ll be okay right are you worried that’s that’s that’s that’s L on
You know what I’m saying I’m ready to roll so what are you thinking as far as how the fight plays out and it’s a five round fight yeah because you got moved to Main Event five round fight it’s gonna be it’s going to be high far I know he’s
Obviously going to try and drag me into the later rounds and obviously my my game plan is to get in there and get it done with so we we we’ve been around long enough we both come to know he’s he’s very experienced I’ve got to stay
Away from from getting in the grind and the wrestle with stuff and I got to pick my shots and I know if I pick my shots if I land one or a couple it’s it’s gonna it’s going to get the job done uh did you watch Francis on
Friday I did well what do you think of that were you expecting that I wasn’t to be honest I really wasn’t I actually uh off of his last performance I actually thought he was going to go in there and smoke him uh you know Joshua hasn’t been too well but
That’s that’s uh these are the best heavyweights in the world you know you can’t any punch can can end it and Joshua looked on he was on he come out then he landed it do you think you should go back to MMA no [ __ ] that why yeah he’s not
Going that block has been through a lot of stuff I don’t think uh I don’t think a boxing fight and getting dropped on your ass is going to stop you right right that is true and making like 20 million for it yeah yeah I think uh I’ve
Heard enough people say they’d get half murdered for 20 mil so there’s a few volunteers out there I don’t think he’s going to give up I don’t think he should give up I think I think it’s just a learning curve for him and and speaking of crossover fights
What about your manager Tim Simpson getting in there you see that Timbo in Mexico you saw that Timbo I did did you see how ripped he was he was freaking ripped yes I must say I had no idea he had this in him and got the W I thought it was easy I
Thought I thought he I thought they did like a skin color change but I thought it was easy but no he looked good he he don’t look no good no more though oh he lost it yeah it happens it happens to the best weigh day you look your best
Right so take all photos on that day is he now trying to like give you tips and stuff like oh you need to do this I’ve been there I’ve done it I made the walk running over a few knee knee situations this morning yeah yeah pulling guard
Pulling guard is his main one what he wants me to do right right right listen not a lot of managers do that so I give him a ton of respect there’s not much you can’t do this BL yeah and you’re you’re relatively new to the squad the the chosen
The Chosen Few The Chosen group lucky to be chosen that’s right yeah yep you’re you’re the guy at heavyweight espec um and and and by the way Ty before I let you go you know on Monday we had um we had Dustin porier on the show and and he
Talked about just like you know the highs and lows of fighting and uh how it could get dark when you’re on a streak when things are going so good you’re on top of the world and then you can you relate to any of that or are you not the
Type of person there are some people who just don’t get up and down they just kind of stay middle and you’re a pretty mild mannered kind of jovial guy at least what we see of you behind the scenes though do you go up and down like
I’m pretty good but um it’s it’s a lot on the like we’re humans where the mental is is it’s it’s it’s full on but I suppose there two you got around you that can help you and then get you through it uh just like me I’m lucky
I’ve had these like surgeries and and injuries and losses but I’ve got a good people good good group of people around me that have kept me strong and have really pushed me to get here to today so uh I’m for me I’m just lucky for them you know if you have
A good group of people around you you should be all right but there’s a lot of people that don’t and you kind of get lost at the end of the day we’re Fighters man we’re stubborn [ __ ] where we don’t like to listen to people and sometimes we don’t even listen to
Ourselves so I get it it’s it’s it’s we all we’re all human we all bleed the same what are we doing with the hair by the way are we going to do cornrows what are we going to do what are we what do

The front it’s a meeting in the front it’s a party at the back yeah yeah so we going to do braids in the front what are we doing up there look I’m worried I’m not about I get worried about these things is someone worried about this is anyone looking
After it is Tim looking after it look if the hair pisses me off enough I’ll get the scissors and just okay F my face all right all right okay I need to get the we I don’t want any distraction I don’t want any issues I you know I I want the best for

Bam our fellow o oo so he got to hang out with Ria Ripley and uh JDM and uh I guess the Usos behind the Scenes I got a right before the uh I have to say if I can what is going on here right be you good yes right before the um I think it was the yuana event I think so not event fight uh interview I I got an email from from something that I just
Saw briefly and the title was have you been screened for colon cancer in the past year and so I couldn’t tell if it was like an actual email or like a mass email type of thing like from and so it’s been on my mind the whole time for
The past hour I’m like is someone telling me that there’s something wrong with me but now I see it’s just like a general email from a company um saying that you know starting at the age of to 45 you know blah blah blah but
I it’s been on the back so I just had to check you know do you understand what I’m saying I was worried about it yeah I’m glad that it’s all good that’s always a thing I think I think I’m going to go earlier than 45 if
I’m being honest for the you know the checkup yeah might as well do it while you’re got it on top of mine colonoscopy yeah I think I’m going to go early I I think in America it’s 45 I think want to do it earlier yeah might as well have
You ever had one no no I’m 30 years old man yeah have to be mindful that a sometimes insurance won’t cover until you hit the recommended Aid you know what uh for some you know my uh my father-in-law is a colon cancer survivor and and uh had stage four colon cancer
And he was first diagnosed when he was 41 wow and he lived oh not only did he live uh it’s an unbelievable story multiple surgeries yeah uh looked pretty bleak at one point traveled from Montreal to New York to get treatment the Canadian government didn’t want to cover him took them to
The Supreme Court and won and got them to cover because he didn’t feel like he’d be able to be uh looked after if he stayed in Montreal it’s pretty remarkable and now is the head of the Canadian Colon Cancer Association the [ __ ] Cancer Association of Canada to be
Exact uh our very first shirt that we ever got the um helwani nose shirt back in the day very very first one that we ever did uh all the proceeds went to them and also the first year of the uh substack we gave all the proceeds to the
CCC the coloral cancer of Canada Association I think it is they’ve changed the name anyway so this was on my mind the whole time um great stuff there great interviews speaking of merch by the way what about our friend over here JC who’s this guy what’s his name who sent Gunner
Woodworks is his name gunar no I think the guy that sent it is not named gunar I think the company got there was a there was a letter in there uh with his name on it this guy some fan uh yes look at this he made a hoie hat
And an MMA hour hat and an M hour hat I’m G wear this bad boy around it’s like leather pressed on I mean it’s a quality hat too we got the trucker I mean I still got the I mean he has custom tags on this too Gunner Woodworks on the tag
I mean it’s unbelievable Blown Away quality this stuff is he sent cups laser engraved cups uh just all out of the goodness of his heart this is incred like this guy has done a better job with merch than all of us in the last what in the last two and or forever
In my life really in my whole career um this is look at this he got he did a whie look at this can you see it can you see that it says who me we can who I mean it’s unbelievable also this an M hat oh it’s the same one you’re wearing
Right yeah yeah yeah same one wonder I’m blown away and also I do want to thank I mean we have so much stuff here I want to thank our friends at St Pats FC oh shout out I mean look at this they got me the 10 and you know what was nice
About this was we all know who you know the striker allall Striker is number 10 uh hiani but look at this look at this jersey wow this is amazing this is nice right just in time for St Patrick’s Day oh yeah that’s right St patri one week away they’re playing uh Minnesota United

Boxes in uh in in honor of St Patty’s Day we’ve got the uh the the the black Forge that is incredible I mean we’ve got so much stuff here yeah I’m forged out back here as well you got forged stuff too look got some Forge Irish
Stout stuff back here I mean no Rick you don’t even understand the amount of stuff we have back here I I mean look at this is nice look at these look at these forged playing cards man what yeah I mean they’re incredible amazing everyone is just so cont this is great branding
You know most people want to go to Guinness on St Patrick’s Day you gotta go fors Irish Stout wow so yeah a lot of stuff I I haven’t had a chance to go through it all but uh I even have uh Rick’s daughter’s uh Girl Scout cookies back

Seeing this from bamb bam we were just talking about well two bamb bams we were talking about Action Bronson with Yana he’s opening for Bruce Springsteen in New Jersey that’s insane sick on that bro April Atlantic City he’s there I don’t know which one he’s doing for
Bruce he’s in Manchester in June just seen this on his uh Asbury Park in September now is this him or they’re traveling together for all these no this is his tour Action Bronson presents Dr baklava and the human growth hormone tour 2024 he says new music soon get your tickets now
Lincoln bio and I’m opening for Bruce in New Jersey wow is that true sick that’s insane feel like feels like Bruce Springsteen would be at MetLife am I going to go to Atlantic City twice in a 3-week span same day as Haney uh Garcia KY Garcia you know yourself decision you a
Lot going on um all right speaking of a lot going on let’s get into some questions here time now for everyone’s favorite segment of the week it is it’s time for a good oldfashioned Q&A MMA fans ladies and gentlemen the moment has arrived to hear from the man himself Ariel
Helwani yes I can’t wait to get a ton of question New York City it’s on the nose and now to answer your question you know a lot of people are asking me on on Monday why I didn’t ask Dustin about Ariel helani yes thank you very much
Mike Heck about Beno St Denise saying that uh he was battling staff uh honestly I didn’t see it until after the interview so um I did see it you know know since and that is horrendous and doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who
Would make an excuse to be honest um so wish him the best and I again I was saying it’s like pick an example GSP Matt Hughes Rose Carla back in the day like there’s always these fights where the youngster you know goes for it and takes a big
Leap and stumbles and then comes back even better this is 1,000% there is no doubt my mind that this will be the case with BSD so he has nothing to worry about in my opinion that was a massive jump for him he fought fire with fire some
Adjustments and he’s right back in there uh let’s start with that dude Drew Ariel last year you indicated that you didn’t want to work Jake Paul Tommy fury because it was in Saudi what changed your mind in the past year uh so there were a couple reasons why last year uh I
Didn’t work that card um one one was it was around the time my son’s birthday it wasn’t specifically on his birthday but it was close um that was one of the reasons and yes I did say that I I was just a little bit I don’t
Know I was a little bit torn on the assignment um that was in February of last year so all that is accurate since then uh I have met a lot of people who are a part of the promotion over there if you want to call it that and I’m not
Just talking about turkey Al Shake I’m talking about a lot of people who with him including people who don’t live in Saudi Arabia who live in England from uh the communications team to the marketing to people who do work with him and I was uneducated at the time and have leared a
Lot and I’ve met a lot and have asked a lot and felt comfortable doing it um and so I know a lot has been said and written about their intentions I feel like their intentions are are very much you can tell that turkey is a huge boxing fan and trust me
There’s a lot more that they can spend their money on than Joseph Parker and G Jang or any boxing match Tyson usyk etc etc etc I I do feel like there is a willingness to put on the biggest events to grow the sport to obviously show Saudi Arabia in a positive light but
That’s no different than anyone paying a sight fee to have the UFC come to town and there’s a commercial being played for Salt Lake City or Miami Etc um so everyone has motives in that regard and uh I feel I feel comfortable with their motives and I feel comfortable with um
You know what they’re trying to do so I felt like it was important for me to experience it I felt like it was important for me to go there and kind of know what’s going on because they’re such a massive player um in the world of Combat Sports and I see some people
Saying like oh Ariel’s being paid by the Saudis or I just to make the record crystal clear I have not been paid by any of them I feel like I’ve made my my stance on these types of issues very clear and I don’t even think that I owe
Anyone because no one else by by the way ever has to answer these questions but I I make myself available to answer these questions for you the only people who paid me last week to work that event were toone and I’m sometimes a pain in their ass because a lot of people in
Boxing and Combat Sports don’t have these these feelings about pay and so there are events where they’re like oh can you get paid by the promoter and I say no it’s either I’m going to go and I have to be paid by the broadcaster or
I’m not going at all and that that goes for flight that goes for hotel that goes for everything I am not taking anything from anyone other than the media Outlet SL broadcaster streamer whatever you want to call them that’s that’s a hard line that’s something that I will never
Waver or waffle on because of my history with Fox and that’s how it always was supposed to be and I did waiver and I paid for it for it and I made a mistake so I will never do that and so just so you know to be a th% clear no one told
Me to say anything do anything um be anything whatever and I didn’t accept anything and I wasn’t paid by anyone other than Doone so I just want that to be extremely clear for everyone not trying to cast dispersions on anyone who feels otherwise otherwise or conducts business otherwise but that’s just what
I was taught and that’s just what I feel most comfortable with so we change we evolve uh I think I had like a super Hardline stance like others but I felt after numerous conversations and they could vouch for this that it was you know the uh the appropriate and right
Thing for me to do and like I said it was a it was a very memorable and rewarding experience and I would be open to doing it again uh here’s another one from Oco howdy Ariel my boss sucks I mean truly terrible probably the worst
I’ve ever had do you or any of the fellas have any terrible boss story stories that could get dicey professionally so maybe a story or experience from when you were younger working at a fast food joint or something my misery wants company wish me luck on getting a different job soon
Thanks to you and the crew for the great shows week in and week out uh anyone want to share a bad boss story I’ve never really had like a a horrible boss just your typical your typical corporate stuff that can be frustrating but no like no like boss
That was like out to get me or anything like that luckily actually in the forunate why do I feel like Frank has had a bad boss yeah just give that Vibe yeah it is true though I have had some pretty bad bosses knew it I had one tell me that um I wasn’t
Assertive enough I was a lot younger and then in the same breath he’s like and you’re a bit of a smart elic and I was like smart elic means over assertive what you mean to say is I’m a smart ass and I proved the point feels like you’re
Being a smart Al right now man yeah yeah I mean the smart Al is again just like you think it’s the PC version of smartass but it’s actually saying that you’re overly bearing and overly assertive all right smartass uh Rick you were gonna say something regarding
This no I mean I was going to say something similar to Connor which is like certainly like there can be frustrations and uh growing pains and things like that but typically their organization I’ve never had who was my where I was like that’s bad um it’s most
Been just like bureaucracy Stu and not a boss themselves I feel bad for this guy like I couldn’t even imagine having to look that in the eyes and and have that situation so you’ll get through it man sorry sorry that SP have there been a couple times where like I maybe not felt
My boss is is the most qualified for the position sure but like a boss that’s actually out to get me no my roommate has had some experiences like that and by the way this isn’t just some regular Schmo this is Oco our YouTube moderator we saw in Dallas I believe shout out so
Yes um I I’ve had some interesting experiences I was an intern one summer at uh my dad’s work and the guy who was in charge of being my boss CU you know I didn’t like I was I was doing very different stuff than my dad was doing um was not happy about me
Being there and and actually quite amazingly said to me one time just given the fact that I was the boss of son I we were eating lunch I was eating with the guys in the cafeteria this little room that we had and I was like leaning back
On my chair and he said that he hoped that I would fall off my chair and break my head um and I found that to be very interesting and I actually told my dad about this and he sort of laughed it off and didn’t do anything about it I
Thought maybe I could get him in trouble because he was such a dick to me this guy um but he did not uh he did not get in trouble in fact my dad didn’t I kind of feel like he didn’t really want me to
Do it except I had nothing else to do um I do also I feel like that qualifies somebody telling you that want you to break your head i’ say that’s that’s probably a bad boss right there um I actually do have one there there there was a guy at an internship that wouldn’t
Call me by my name he called me just like all these other names that started with C Cooper yeah it’s not great things like that and I’d be like Oh I thought say like see you and oh no no no no no he just wouldn’t he knew what my name
Was he just thought it was cool I guess to to not call me by my name I gave up on it after like a couple weeks I was like I just don’t I just don’t care guys on the guys on the radio every day in Atlanta drive time wow yeah well
He’ll he’ll name remain unnamed but uh yeah you should have just called him a name that starts with the same letter and just made up his name his name actually actually you know yeah it was a good so really made me feel like a a
Nice valuable part of the team uh when I left Spike TV I told my boss that I was going to leave after a week and he told me that it was the worst decision of my life and that I regret it forever and that I was making a huge huge
Unprofessional uh move and all this stuff and that didn’t make me feel very good I understand he was upset but he I think he handled it very good especially since I wasn’t that you know I don’t know I wasn’t that important to the operation I feel like I proved them
Wrong Frankie I proved him wrong um so yeah that one comes to mind and uh I would certainly say especially later in life uh i’ would say last few years or so not post 2021 there certainly been people that I worked with that I did not enjoy working with but I wouldn’t
Qualify them as bosses per se just people that I didn’t really like the way they did business and the way they talk to me or the way they asked me to do things but that’s for a different day um before we proceed with the questions I did want
To mention and we didn’t get to it at the very top of the show because of all the breaking news stuff I did want to talk uh very briefly about Mark Heman by now you probably have seen the news regarding Mark Holeman it’s uh been all over social media and
Um I want to just uh read so I have all the details correct uh it’s been reported on multiple Outlets including CNN and very mainstream and traditional Outlets that Mark Holman the former UFC heavyweight champion according to his daughter on Instagram is quote battling for his life
At the moment um this is I mean absolutely awful news um this is from his his daughter I’m reading this right now um as many know our dad was involved in a house fire early this morning along with his parents and beloved dog Hammer Of course that was his nickname when he
Was a fighter and still is his nickname uh he managed to get both of his parents out of the house but despite his best efforts was not able to save Hammer unfortunately he was life flighted to the hospital where he’s currently battling for his life after this heroic
Act our father has always been our hero and means the world to us he is and always will be a fighter the strongest and bravest man I know please continue to pray for him and our family during this extremely difficult time we will miss ourwe sweet Hammer so deeply thank
You for all the love and support Hammer house for Life uh very hard to read Mark I mean Mark Coleman is an inspiration and a Pioneer and a Trailblazer and one of the greatest fighters of all time and has really turned his life around as of
Late if you follow him on social media you will know that he’s talked openly about his battles with depression and substance abuse and uh appear to be an amazing shape and in great spirits and has cornered the likes of Matt Brown and many others and really was in in many
Respects uh like one of the true founding fathers of of mixed martial arts um given his style given his his pedigree coming from Ohio State and the way in which he fought with the uh the ground and pound and the team Hammer house days with Kevin Randleman the lake
R Kevin randman and Phil Bron and others um UFC Hall of Famer and just an absolute Legend and it’s Um it’s it’s it’s a very hard thing to to to read about um and see the photos of him in the hospital um according to Mark’s other daughter Kenzie uh she wrote on her Instagram stories that uh hammer the dog saved Mark Coleman’s life because the dog was barking to wake
Him up as uh the house fire was was raging on um which is just an incredible thing um this according to CNN uh Mark Coleman’s longtime friend and fellow former UFC fighter Wes Sims said on Facebook that Coleman is quote currently intubated and sedated in a hospital in Toledo
Ohio quote I swear to God he’s one of the toughest individuals ever created been through so much it’s a movie at this point a movie at this point could not give his life work Justice Coleman’s mother Connie posted on Facebook saying thank God we are alive and requesting prayers for
Mark and they mentioned that uh before turning to MMA he was an NCA champion won the championship at Ohio State in 88 and competed in the 92 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona so um love Mark Coleman everyone does everyone’s pulling for him everyone’s thinking about him and there is a
GoFundMe page that uh his family has uh started to help him and them uh deal with all the costs uh this is what they wrote to noar Coleman you know he has the biggest heart he is fierce afraid of nothing mentally loves the Lord and would do anything for his family tragedy struck
In the early mornings of Tuesday March 12th where Mark awoke at 4:00 a.m. by his beloved Rody little Hammer to a house fire in his childhood home where he was was visiting his parents Mark being the hero that he is and the fierce love he has for his family managed to
Get his elderly parents out of the home unharmed he went back in risking his life to save his dog it is with great sadness that our beloved hammy ham little Hammer did not survive the fire and the home is a total loss little Hammer is a true hero and will be truly
Missed Mark was life flighted to a hospital where he’s needing a lot of prayer to get his lungs clear as adult daughters Mackenzie and Morgan have not and will not leave their dad’s side as battles for his life we all knew he was one of the best athletes now we know he
Is a true hero all funds donated will go directly to Mark’s living expenses as well as to support his adult daughters who will be off work and by his Aid excuse me by his side aiding in his recovery as well as assisting in any Necessities the family currently needs
We are faithful family and know God works miracles please keep praying with us that our hero has complete healing with love Kenzie and Morgan Coleman hammer housee for life so there’s the GoFundMe page uh if you are able to donate and support uh please consider doing so and
If you just type in Mark Heman go GoFundMe on uh on uh Google or wherever this will pop up and it’s all over social media I’ve retweeted it as well if you want to look on my feed so much love to the great Mark Coleman and uh definitely praying for him and and
Hoping for the best best um we’ll move along now to Taco Enthusiast who says hi Ariel the UFC 299 inperson experience was really incredible it was certainly the best combat sports event I’ve ever attended however when I start to think about the numbers it’s mindblowing that Fighters aren’t getting paid more and
Now he offers extremely conservative estimates below so with a 14 million plus dollar gate 40 million in pay-per-view Revenue 500 or so thousand time 79 each $79.99 8 million in rights fees from ESPN per vent $300 million divided by 42 50 million in sponsorship 77 million in total of above Revenue not
Accounting for Millions on positive I’m missing based on this very conservative and lackluster estimate Fighters could be paid the following and you’d only total 21 million 250k for an early prelim 500k per per per prelim fighter 750k per main card 1 .5 per co-main five per Main Event fighter in this model
You’d still have a low 27.3% of Revenue going to the fighters I’m no business Savant I run a nonprofit in my day-to-day but who’s advising some of these Fighters why are they not people in their Corners begging them to sign with other organizations or negotiate better contracts how have
Fighters not gone on strike yet or effectively unionized I know you’ve talked about this extensively but after seeing the spectacle and amount of money at the event on Saturday I’m bewildered well they are the biggest and and best promotion out there and the fighters feel like this is what they this these
It’s easy to say why don’t they go elsewhere why don’t they negotiate but look at what’s happened to Mike Chandler as a result of going to the UFC look what could happen to kale Harrison as a result of going to the UFC but this is th this is the thing that people miss
When they say that we’re negative and you know we’re critical of the UFC and unfairly so the UFC is on fire everything is up their rights fees are going up their sponsorship is up their pay-per-view numbers are up their gates are up 14 million in Miami the only
Thing that isn’t collectively up is fighter pay does that not strike you as being a little bit off the rising tide should lift all boats 50% of the revenue in the NBA goes to the players that means if everything is going up it’s still 50% that’s based on the collective
Bargaining agreement not just in the NBA NHL NFL MLB Etc but while the top dogs are getting paid more than they were getting paying getting paid collectively Maybe seven years ago it’s still relatively the same and the likes of CH will be like oh you
Know it used to be four Now it’s 12 I’m not talking about that I’m not talking about that CH and you know exactly that that’s not exactly what we’re talking about but unless there is some kind of collective voice there is no reason to change all we I love mixed martial arts
I love the UFC if there wasn’t a UFC if there wasn’t MMA I wouldn’t have fallen in love with it I wouldn’t have done a radio show in 2001 I wouldn’t be still doing this 23 years years later there’s nothing like what we saw on Saturday
Dustin poier doing what he did um uh Jack Dela doing what he did the performance from Sha Ali and on and on and on it goes Curtis blades doing what he did Joan wood and what’s to come in April and in May etc etc etc but I would
Love to see these Fighters especially the ones that you know are giving it their all sacrificing so much and then have to go and do something else in their mid-30s just get paid what they’re worth just get paid what they are participating in meaning if the entire company is just absolutely killing it
Which they are and they deserve all the credit in the world for getting to this point to where they’re getting 14 million in Gate let alone what they’re getting on pay-per-view and rights fees and sponsorship and all that I would just love to see them participate as the top
Organization and the people involved in set organization should participate so that’s all and this breakdown while I know it’s very loose is is a very easy way to digest just how much is being left on the table as far as the fighters are concerned all I’ve
I’ve always wanted them to do is just come together and if you guys feel as a collective unit that this is the best deal for you then God bless that’s on you that that doesn’t happen the managers don’t collectively come together the fighters don’t collectively come together so everyone
Is kind of just sinking or swimming on their own and I don’t think they fully understand quite frankly because there have been efforts to do this and they’ve never gotten off the ground for various reasons I don’t think they fully understand how beneficial it would be if they did have a collective
Voice but there’s only so much that that one can say and do it doesn’t it doesn’t uh it doesn’t ultimately affect us I I I have no say in it I would just love to see them have a collective voice and not just when it comes to fighter pay but even things
Like the drug testing they should be able to say no we don’t want to be drug tested 365 24/7 no we don’t have to uh you know do the whereabouts app and tell you where we are 365 24/7 just like other athletes don’t have to do that all this should be collectively bargained
That’s it it’s going to be very interesting to see what happens next April literally two days after UFC 300 is when at least for now the trial class action lawsuit Lee versus UFC might be some longer name than that but you know the one I’m talking about
That’s when it kicks off do we make it to that point and if we do make it to that point once it’s all said and done what does that do to the state of things Fighters UFC everyone in between so we’ll see taan 888 Ariel and crew agree or
Disagree sha Al is the reason for UFC 299 success or UFC is trying to build Shan for upcoming negotiations as the next Connor and in fact it was the strength of the card for the pay-per-view success debate I mean Shao Mal is a huge star look at what happened
In Boston look at what happened in Miami it’s just hard I mean it’s hard to break down just how much of that pie goes to just his success because a UFC is on fire B Miami is on fire and C it was a star studded card from top to bottom
So I don’t know you know ultimately I don’t know but I would say that he deserves a ton of success I do think he’s one of the most popular fighters in the UFC and I do think he certainly helped how much impossible to know because I also think the rest of the
Card helped too having all those names on there um and uh look it did great last year not as good but it did great last year when it was Izzy ver spr and there are huge starts too so it’s just it’s hard to fully break it down but I
Think it would be unfair to not give him the credit that he is due uh this is from John 1090 hey arol you said your fastest mile is probably around 9 minutes but we never found out gc’s running stats what’s his fastest mile # mysterious Frank is a god amongst men hash who
Me he was running laps right now back fastest mile ever I mean that would come like back in high school back in like you know my Peak Running days no right now right now what’s your fastest right now I could I could still easily clock a sub seven for real like oh for
Sure like right now we say we’re going in 30 minutes oh easily yeah we could go right now sub seven I’m going I’m going for one mile what are we doing sub were we talking 6 and a half we’re talking what 6:45 659 no I could probably clock
Like at 630 yeah what’s the fastest you’ve ever done oh like a 518 in high school holy that’s on that’s on a track running one mile and knowing that I can just absolutely die done you just unloaded it yeah yeah yeah but I used to run long distance track and that was
Your thing you have the body type yeah track more so but then like in the Falls I would just do cross country as well which is just more long running also would you do Javelin no no no no no high jump no I didn’t long jump no none of the field
Stuff that’s interesting I was big into the field no I wasn’t I I have tree trunk legs you know shot put shot put what is that again that’s this one big ball on the shoulder it’s so weird on your neck yeah I mean you got to be huge
For that tree trunk plugs like you said yeah that’s true that’s true um all right so yeah people are asking about uh about your running skills that’s maybe me and Frank will go out to the track and and see what I can do that’s pretty impressive am my Elder age now uh
Speaking of Frank here’s a question for GC and Frank this is from Jax GT uh I was watching fight feasts and noticed that when GC dunked his cetta in the sauce he double dipped now I’m well aware of what they say about assumption assumptions but I would assume that
Frank was okay with that um so I don’t want to speak on your behalf Frank but and and and do we have video footage of this because you did a great job once again with the uh the fight fees this time it was a bit of a Cubano feel
Because of Miami is it in fact true we sure did uh I mean we could actually fast forward in the tape I believe if we want to pull it up we can uh we can get to the moment the cett is happening and really uh okay let’s see if USC 299
Fight day the promotion returns to the 305 Miami fast forward here let’s get to the let’s get to the croas you know now we’re inside beautiful place great man ham onion butter milk all that deep fry another this is this yours or were you sharing it with Frank so you ever had a
Hush pu we were sharing this and I’m not going to lie in the moment that it happened um I thought to myself okay so what you did he was the move that was the move you broke it in half and yeah yeah uh but in my defense you
Know this is this is something we’re creating to put out there uh Frank’s feelings on double dipping was out the window okay as I was doing it I was recognizing that I was doing it I was like I don’t know if Frank’s going to be upset with this other people might get
Upset with this other people might bring this up to me uh but I mean in the name of entertainment I was going back in for another dip okay fair enough um generally though how do you feel about double dipping no I’m not a big Double
Dipper yeah rarely if ever un if it’s my own then I mean yeah we’re we’re double dipping for sure uh but rarely if I’m sharing with someone my girlfriend you know she can just kind of deal with it yeah it’s different but if I’m sharing with Frank no I’m not double
Dipping no way honestly I’m so anti- double dipping even if I’m with a loved one I’m not doing cuz I’m programmed not to do it NOP with the wife well it’s just like who wants saliva in the dip yeah I guess that’s true just in general
You know that’s true Frank how do you feel about this when you saw him doing it were you disgusted in this context it doesn’t bother me at all I will say that I have noticed it more because I’m filming him while he’s eating and I’m like intently watching so like I’ve seen
Everything like something getting into his beard fall into the food and I’m just like you know what it uh it is what it is um it’s he’s enjoying himself like if he was spitting something out because it was gross or whatever that’s a different story but like he was enjoying
Himself it’s fine if if we can actually pull up the film again here and do another fast forward I hate to do this to Andy um a lot of people notied uh if we can yeah if we can just move ahead to
Uh to the Rope of via uh a lot a lot of people notice a rogue Bean that I lost a lot of food and yeah if we can just go right here yeah we can just play for from here uh lose a lot of beans obviously a white suit uh people wanted
To know if it got onto the suit yeah if you’ll see as I go I go for the bite yeah big chunk fell off there where did it go did it go on the plate uh I can confirm it did just stay on the plate uh
Did not get on the suit wore the suit again on Saturday oh yeah uh so it was all good didn’t even comment like how dirty the table was when they cleared the tables and I was like your side’s a lot dirtier than mine oh yeah wait we
Make a mess make a mess what’s in the croa all right so it’s like a it’s like a ham paste almost it’s like wow it’s like ham onions butter oil all this and you like combine it all and then you Fred that I can’t partake it’s
Unbelievable yeah I mean we we could get you a beef one okay that’d be nice yeah I mean they’re they’re they’re incredible that was the fourth you’ve done fourth yeah uh Mexican Georgian um Canadian and Cuban ranom uh man that’s tough I think I yeah I’m gonna have to do this in
Front of you I think ah I think I’m gonna go Mexican one okay one being georan two yeah one being best yeah uh Mexican and Georgian are like the clear two and then I would go Cuban and then Canadian but while I say that all four
Of them were great I’ve been great no dut so far thoroughly enjoyed yeah and we got ideas for five six and and seven okay uh the next one I guess would be what would the next one be uh actually 5 six7 and eight yeah uh Atlantic City next one’s Atlantic City
Yeah that’s gonna be something on location yeah on yeah uh cross hey crew I just bought tickets for knuckl Mania 4 in La Mike Perry versus Thiago alvz this will be my first Combat Sports event and I’m super excited my questions to GC is
If he would put bkfc on his list of Live Events to go to one time imagine what those bare knuckle hits would sound like live I would a th% go to a bkfc then no doubt looks like it’s a great time feels like something that I want to experience
At least once still haven’t been to a UFC pay-per-view right still haven’t been it’s GNA happen Newark rumors New York rumors yeah there are rumors there’s question about that here that’s my area Debo Shalom Ariel and GC and Rick what do you think of the Florida State ath commission shortening the
Weighin window for UFC 299 it felt like it could make it harder for fighters who are trying to cut more weight or struggling with the weight cut do you think they should leave it as a 2hour window I do uh I like the 2-hour window 1 hour I don’t think it’s the biggest
Deal it also depends on are you taking away that hour post weighing in meaning if you’re off by a pound you still get that extra hour um but generally I feel like we’re in a good spot here with the two hours and then the extra hour if you
Need it um I’m all about trying to make this as easy and comfortable for the fighters because it’s a hellacious thing that they’re put through so I would love to see that happen Um and really remain that way I really think that it should just be the two hours uh I have not seen any explanation as to why they reduced it to an hour I don’t think there were any issues right no one miss weight correct me if I’m
Wrong I was uh I know I was in a different time zone but I don’t think anyone did but yeah I I kind of like the two hours um Reuben hey Ariel and the crew I watched Friday in Saturday’s watch parties and gc’s live reactions to
His bets not hitting was sad to watch but overall great weekend for Combat Sports given their recent performances what trajectory do you foresee for Cheto Vera and benois ston and how do you think they will Faire against the top contenders moving forward how much fights away do you think each are um
From a title Eliminator or title fight well obviously they’re in different spots right one guy is losing a title fight the other guy is on the come up and I know he was fighting a top level guy but he’s still on the come up in my
Opinion Cheeto spot I think is is is a tougher one because you’ve got the likes of you know morab coming up and you’ve got the likes of Umar and Cory sanhan who he’s already fought and lost to so it’s a tough spot not saying it’s impossible I always thought that he
Would fight for the belt and he did and and and think that he could definitely get right back to that spot it just depends on who’s the champ champon and how the matchup Beno I you know Ben Wa is is still a top 10 guy he just has to
Take a step back and work his way back up here he didn’t lose a title fight he took a massive leap I think he was 11 or 12 when this fight got announced and DP was one or two so now you just kind of slow the roll a little bit and you work
Your way back up it’s not as big I think of a setback as losing a title fight and now having to kind of start the climb all over again if that makes sense given where he was in line there are so many other guys ahead of him he was jumping
The line to a degree not from a skill standpoint but from a resume and ranking standpoint can I just say also like I don’t I don’t get I don’t get the Umar thing and I saw an interview with morab and Theo and I agree 100% with morab why
Does why are we so insistent on Umar fighting Cory who’s his signature win who’s his top five win who’s his top three win who’s his top 10 win why is he getting pushed to the front of the line like if his last was something other than n
Magov anything khav anything would we be talking about him like this does his last performance warrant this I don’t understand this thing where it’s like yeah Cory you’re going to fight me and I’m going to call the shots like what is he ranked right now can someone explain
This to me why is he being treated different than everyone else can someone explain it well the the storyline that has been pushed is that nobody in those ranking positions that you’re talking about wants to fight him he’s the guy that every that everybody does not want
To fight so the logic would dictate he cannot get those fights to then earn the Corey opportunity and has to jump straight to the Corey opportunity because Corey will give it to him so he’s okay this is this is what has been laid out Umar everybody is ducking Umar
Is the narrative do we believe this I don’t know I’ll tell you this if I was a if I was a to eight ranked bantamweight I wouldn’t want to fight him so it’s believable yeah do you think he’s a future title Contender yep I mean there’s some tough
Guys out there but yes it’s all about matchups I mean I’m down to see the fight I just think that like this whole thing that like yeah it has to be Cory versus Zar next like what why does it have to be Cory versus zumar why can’t Corey fight uh I don’t know
Give a name will they fight him is the question will who fight him Umar whoever you’re thinking of yeah Cheeto versus Umar will that person give him the opportunity I want to see Cheeto versus Peter Yan I mean just think about it this way we recently talked about like
How gangster it was that Dustin gave Ben Wa that opportunity right it’s rare it’s not something that happens had to but yes no but it’s not something that happens all the time and that’s why we can appre appreciate it I feel the same way about
Cory guy Cory one they booked it like it was going to happen it was already there yeah no I know but they booked it because I feel like he was kind of like forced to to take it you know that was my opinion on it I think he’s open to it
Though yeah if he wins that one can he get a title shot I hope so I would like that or they run back uh Cory p and do a second one that first fight was fantastic yeah it was fantastic fight of the year that year incredible fight and he took it on
Short notice too yeah uh Santiago barcos hello crew just want your opinion on the atmosphere that these South American people bring to the events do you think it’s time that the UFC go more in those territories I was the one who tagged you guys on the Twitter videos of the
Ecuadorians before 299 oh those videos were amazing I love those videos and there was a period where you know before the pandemic uh Argentina and and Chile Etc uh gosh I would love for them to go to Ecuador absolutely love it imagine an event head imagine a Fight Night headline by Cheeto in
Ecuador it would be insane um I love the atmosphere I love I I I love the the the nationalism even it wasn’t as many people but like even when Francis fought like you were hearing the vuelas you were seeing the flags like I love that stuff and it was incredible
The turnout for Cheeto in um in Miami so yes um the Brazilian fans are great they’re passionate like that’s all we want I don’t care who they’re rooting for passion support nationalism it’s great to see it’s what makes fighting fun we love those atmospheres it just makes it all
Feel that much bigger P pie up in this hey Ariel there was a lot of online backlash regarding Bo nickel being placed on the main card of UFC 300 what are your thoughts on his placement on the main card honestly I I get it look you look at all those names like
You know we talked about this comparing it to um Sage North North cut back at 200 like obviously Cody brendid isn’t on the level of those guys but this is all about Bo nickl I’m not really bothered I’m really not I knew everyone would be bothered
But like I really don’t think there’s a big difference I don’t feel like there’s a difference between the main card and the prelims I really don’t it makes no difference to me it doesn’t make me feel less about a fight or more about a fight if it’s on the first fight or second
Fight of the main card as opposed to the last fight of the prelims like who cares it’s all important the stakes are the same you’re not gaining anything by being on the main you’re not getting paid more money and again like I’ve said like I just said to Kayla you’re
Probably gonna be seen by more people so quick question people get brother so D brother so dumb yes yes yes when it was originally announced he was on the prelim uh it was never announced no I think people were just like oh oh yeah of course the Cody Brundage you
Know I remember him saying on the show he was like I’m not prelim material I have to be on a main card and I I thought maybe they he made a case to make sure that that happened with this by the way maybe there’s a clause in his
Contract which says he can’t be on a prelim and if so God bless right if so then good for him uh by the way I just got a press release we were talking about this earlier uh according to one book mazal minus 275 Diaz plus 275
Wow that feels like you kind of just you just kind of just bet on Diaz I mean minus 400 from osol yo crazy right that’s the sizable favor right there yeah um what do you think shocking minus 400 I just can’t have that sort of confidence in in hor mazal
In a boxing match yeah Uh where is this thing okay okay Lloyd oh this is going to get fun now uh good day Ariel and crew great show Monday but something to me really needs to be brought up here the fact that you guys are supporting the Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight to me is quite honestly dis
Disgusting shame on you all for not calling this what it is that to me and to a lot of people is not entertainment it is an embarrassment to where we are at in the modern era of fighting in recent years Mike Tyson has been pictured walking with the cane for
[ __ ] sake he will be 58 years old when this quotequote fight happens I don’t care that I’ll make a little money I don’t care if it may prove Jake Paul is something I don’t care if it will do numbers I find it disappointing that you don’t call this out if you continue to
Support this debacle and Mike Tyson ends up getting hurt because of it all no one will want the visionist history of saying he shouldn’t have taken the fight not a fan of any of this Lloyd so at the top of the show last or last episode
Monday I threw out what was the biggest story of the weekend and and GC and Rick Rick said this story in large part and correct me if I’m wrong in large part because of the platform because of the business side of things which is Netflix is getting into live Combat Sports
That’s a massive story and that can’t all we talk about in many respects is business right person signing with this this person getting paid this this opportunity like it all comes down to business it is as who said earlier in the day uh was it Kayla the fight
Business right um the prize fighting bus fight business not the Friends Business she yes yes yes and so I believe that’s what we were talking about if it was and I’m going to give the guys a chance to obviously respond as well if it was Jake Paul versus Mike
Tyson on any other platform the platforms that are commonly airing Combat Sports these days I don’t know if that would be their answer but I do think the Netflix thing made it into a massive massive fight as I also said here and in other places I’m still kind of digesting all of this
Because I liked unlike Rick I kind of like the path of like beating up a bunch of no namers and let’s see how far this can take us until we get to some real fights now there are some people who hated that and I said I thought it was
Interesting that people were saying that first he’s a novice and now they’re saying he’s going to kill Mike Tyson well which one is it and and it just seems like he can do no right as far as the types of matchups that he’s getting he’s either fighting the traditional matchup that you’re
Fighting at 8 in one or he’s fighting an influencer or he’s fighting um you know uh an MMA fighter or now he’s fighting a legend but like each one is bringing its own set of detractors and criticism and I guess that means to a degree that you’re doing something right because
People at least care ultimately I don’t think any of us said oh we’re we’re so excited about this cuz it’s going to make a load of money I don’t think any of us are saying that it’s going to prove that Jake Paul is X Y or Z it’s
Just reacting to the Wow Mike Tyson at 57 soon to be 58 is fighting Jake Paul at 27 or so um that’s that’s the initial reaction now let’s see the state that Mike is in in the buildup let’s see the state that Jake is in in the buildup
Let’s see if it’s a pro bout or an exhibition bout let’s see what the rules are and also I’m very curious to see what the rest of the card looks like are they going to use this as an opportunity to showcase legitimate boxing Talent on the biggest stage possible maybe the
Most watched event in Combat Sports history there’s still a lot of things to be answered so I know all of you want us to come out and have some super hot take just like you all did when Francis nanu left the UFC and were ultimately wrong six seven eight months later because the
Story had to play out and once it played out everyone who said that he quote unquote fumbled the bag was proven to be wrong uh I don’t think and I I think I speak for the other guys like we don’t feel like we have to make some grandiose
Statement on all of this now I see some people saying like oh you guys weren’t a fan of vtor bford versus Evander Holyfield we’re comparing vtor to Jake Paul now Jake Paul is now a former UFC champion on on a lot you know historically vtor has you know been
Popped for PDS like we’re comparing that now so so first he was a bum then he was a novice now he’s vtor bort even VOR bort in his 40s so like we keep moving the goal post here all we’re saying is this is a big freaking deal it’s a big
Freaking deal because everyone is talking about it clearly because it’s Mike Tyson and Jake Paul on Netflix in Arlington at AT&T Stadium those are the facts that makes it a big deal don’t like it like it don’t like it like it that’s for you to decide but I think
Ultimately what we were trying to say is this is a massive story and according to GC and Rick the biggest story of the weekend certainly from a business standpoint and a fight business standpoint so like we’re not we’re not sitting here endorsing it we’re not sitting here saying it’s the biggest
Fight of the Year we’re not sitting here saying You must watch it and if you don’t watch it you’re a dummy or anything like that and even and I’ll tell you right now like I have no deal in place to work this event I don’t work for Netflix I haven’t been formally
Asked to do anything if I did and that could happen if I did I would be open to it because it’s freaking Netflix and it’s going to be a massive deal and I’m curious about like I said the rest of the card but even if you work an event
If you cover an event that’s not you necessarily Endor like you may not like the fights on the card you may not like the matchups of course I would rather see Jake Paul fight a bigger name than Ryan Boran even though you know I understood the game plan there and this
Is a departure from that just because you’re working the assignment working the card it doesn’t mean you necessarily are endorsing the whole freaking thing I could tell you uh other broadcasters who are doing other fight events like that’s it’s not your place to plant your flag
If you are called upon to work the assignment here on this show I can sort of like give my thoughts and wax poetic about certain things but don’t confuse the two um just like I said going to Saudi Arabia I’m going there to work for Doone so if the fight is happening you
Know in Africa or Saudi Arabia or Florida or it’s not like in my mind I’m going there to cover the fight I’m not going there to endorse anything I’m not going there and that’s why I don’t want to get paid by anyone but the broadcaster um so I know that everyone
Is is is all fired up about this and what I think is also interesting and someone else brings this up later but I’ll address it here I talk about the people who you know with their sanctimonious takes who get all high and mighty about Jake Paul and all this
Stuff and do a whole bunch of YouTube videos about it and profit off of it and don’t seem to have the same type of passion about you know the the Integrity of of MMA and you know the nuts and bolts stuff and won’t do videos on fight
Nights at the Apex and all that stuff because that stuff doesn’t draw numbers and they say well you do the same about the UFC well first of all I don’t cut a single thing and they can attest to this I don’t cut a single thing when it comes
To this I have no say in what gets cut I don’t profit off of what gets cut it doesn’t matter to me if one video gets cut no videos get cut eight videos get cut it doesn’t matter I don’t do that and I’ve told you this before um and I
Would also say that 95% of the stuff we talk about on this show is positive towards the UFC so again everyone changes things everyone tries to get these gotcha moments but I I think we pre we keep it pretty damn real on this show and just because you
Want us to all follow in whatever sentiment that you have just like you wanted us all to follow in the sentiment that you had about Francis nanu leaving the UFC and wanted to prove that he was wrong and we all told you that he was right and ultimately we were proven
Right that he wasn’t wrong we’re not going to do the same with this developing story that’s how I feel about my sentiment and my feelings about it right now Rick do you want to weigh in yeah well said um a few things for one if you find it that repulsive if you
Find it that disgusting if that’s your position more power to you don’t watch like vote you have you have a say in this nobody is as Ariel said this is not an endorsement I don’t care I personally don’t I can speak for the rest of everybody we don’t care if you watch or
Not I personally could not care less if you watched or not so if you are repulsed by it if you do not want to watch it do not watch it more power to you I support you fully do whatever you want with your time second to that the
Idea of like of course Jake is fighting a 60-year old man yeah that’s the point right like if Jake Paul was fighting Mike Tyson at any other point in his life he’d get his head caved in and that’s the whole point that’s why this fight is happening is because the
Playing field has been evened now certainly I would make the argument I’m not oblivious I would make the argument that now tipped in Paul’s favor but yeah of course he’s fighting 58-year-old Mike Tyson because if he was fighting 48-year-old Mike Tyson he’d end up on a stretcher so that’s the whole point
That’s why this is happening if it were any other time in history it wouldn’t be happening obviously that’s that’s what the point of this is third um from an actual competitive standpoint like I don’t really care about Jake Paul’s boxing career like to me like whether he’s fighting Ryan Borland whether he’s
Fighting uh Mike Tyson whether he’s fighting Canelo I’m not that interested cuz I don’t think he’s a championship level boxer I don’t particularly care about his boxing skills I don’t care about his development I don’t care about his progression so all I personally want from Jake Paul is to put on big events
He is one a few Fighters capable of doing that in this scenario he is doing that and I do not care about Ryan Borland or Andre August fights I think it’s a waste of time and and effort and energy by people so in this scenario we are getting a big event is everybody
Going to watch it no a lot of people are going to watch it and if you don’t watch it it’s not an indictment on you if you do watch it it’s not an indictment on you it is what it is and then the last thing I’ll say Mike Tyson is a grown man
Mike Tyson is the one who is opting to make this decision I think Ben Davidson summed it up quite nicely like yeah it’s not something that he’s loving but this is Mike’s decision to make and he’s the one who’s going to make that decision
And now it’s up to him and it’s up to to the commission to protect him me voicing on Twitter or even on this show um man I’m really concerned about Mike isn’t going to make a damn bit of difference to Mike Tyson and his life and so that’s
Not my motivation I don’t care about doing that do would I would I rather see Jake Paul fighting somebody younger certainly sure um but I don’t care about either if I’m being honest there there there there’s negligible difference for me for that so if you are somebody in
The camp who does not care uh to watch this because you’re disgusted by it don’t I support you fully go for it and I I will also add before I throw it to GC if he wants to weigh in one thing that drives me nuts is when people say
Like oh why don’t you criticize Golden Boy for what they pay prelim Fighters or oh why don’t you criticize matchroom or oh why don’t you criticize the pfl why like how does that make any sense they’re not the same the UFC what I would criticize the UFC about doesn’t make any sense to
Criticize other promotions because they’re not on the same level and so I don’t view MVP with four fighters on their stable two years old or three years old the same as the UFC of course the UFC isn’t putting on a fight like this the UFC isn’t putting on Jake Paul versus Nate Diaz
Either they’re not putting on Jake Paul versus Tyron Woodley or Ben asran or anything like that they’re not signing Fighters like Andre August or Ryan bour it’s a completely different business model so things that I would criticize matchroom or Golden Boy or pfl or one Championship aren’t things that apply to
UFC and vice versa so you can’t say like yeah we’re going to compare a promotion that makes one1 the revenue that the UFC does and think that they should be paying the same like a 14 I don’t even know if the if pfl has ever done a $14 million gate
Combined in all their events in their history in seven years and and and we’re going to compare the so like again I understand that people just kind of come in and out and we live and breed this but your criticisms are so completely off when you try to
Get us in these gotcha moments that it’s frustrating to read and not want to bang your head against the wall but you can’t hold everyone to the same sort of standards and scrutiny because they’re not all on the same Level Playing Field hopefully that makes sense GC you want to weigh in on
Something uh yeah I don’t have a ton to say I mean it’s what Rick said that’s what Anthony Joshua said on H Saturday it is what it is the fight right now is going to take place whether I watch it or not whether my opinion is is for or
Against it it’s going to take place and I was just we were asked going over on Monday what was the biggest story of the weekend my in my opinion Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson in front of tens of thousands of people at AT&T Stadium one of the biggest stadiums in America on
Netflix uh made for the biggest story of the weekend and uh yeah that’s pretty much all I got to say on it it’s uh it’s just something that I everyone just wants us to [ __ ] all over it maybe because of Jake Paul’s relationship with MMA maybe because of
The fact that it’s Mike Tyson I’ve not seen this video that people are talking about with the cane I did see Mike Tyson fight Roy Jones four years ago or three and a half years ago and uh I thought he obviously looked not like the Mike Tyson
Of old but looked pretty damn good and in pretty damn good shape and I I I really I I I guess this is the best way that I could sum up like I don’t really know ultimately how to feel at this time before seeing them before seeing him in
Particular and uh this is why hopefully you have Commissions in place this is a lot of this comes down to Texas um how are they going to sanction this what are the what are the rules what are the you know the the the limitations all that stuff that’s that’s quite literally
Their job not our job their job so let’s see what they come up with hopefully they put them through a Litany of tests and exams and things of that nature to determine what’s the healthiest and safest route for this fight to happen also to be clear like my excitement for
The fight is not like like if I was doing it out of 10 it would be like a three or a four like the fight itself watching him them in the ring I’m really not that excited for it uh and if they make it an exhibition then I really
Won’t be excited for it uh but it’s still a massive story mhm uh this is from Craig hi Ariel honest question would you support a fight with a 30-year age Gap if it was not someone with whom you have a working relationship with love you in the show but this feels a
Bit dodgy made again I’ve never been paid by MVP I’ve never been paid by Jake or Nisa or anyone like that uh obviously I think they like when I work the events and and the broadcasters like when I work those events and they think you know when the MMA stuff that’s how it
All started there was the crossover and then you kind of prove your worth and um people like when you’re there but I had no problem you know hitting Jake back when he was was calling me out on Twitter during that Luke rockold pooc Costa fight and I had a quote unquote working
Relationship with them then no problem doing that so I hope that I’ve proven that I have no problem calling things as I see it and and right now I just feel like uh I it’s the worst worst answer possible but like it is what it is I I
Want to see how the whole card is constructed I want to see what the rules are I want to see what the is it pro or is it exhibit I just want to see I wantan to I there’s still some answers to be revealed to us um Joshua 95 wagan Ariel and crew
Longtime first time I understand how big of a deal it is that Netflix are moving into the Liv Sports combat business I also understand Rick’s point that Jake should be in big fights and the normal boxer route isn’t it I’m a Jake Paul fan to a certain extent have enjoyed the
Splash he’s made in the MMA and boxing World however I’m struggling to wrap my head around how anyone can be okay with a young fit 20 7y old with knockout power fighting a what will be 58-year-old man Mike Tyson or not it is morally wrong in every way sorry for
Being a bit of a snowflake but I really don’t get it Mass a fan of you and all and everything you do you’ve helped me get through a lot over the years peace and love it’s more the same like there’s this idea that there’s like this Universal um taste that there’s it’s
Like that these that everything is a comparable product right like if you’re saying that Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson is acceptable then you’re saying you don’t really like uh benois St Den versus Dustin poier because those things are exactly equal and you either like one or the other it’s just not it’s just
Not reality The Taste is different there’s some people who are going to watch slap fighting and there’s some people who are not going to watch it there’s some people are going to watch this and there’s some people are not going to watch it everything has its own line every person has their own
Individual taste if you do not like it God bless like there’s no there’s nobody forc anybody to watch this it is it is the the outrage is being brought by people who are saying don’t watch this don’t support this so don’t like so don’t nobody on the other side of of any
Part of this debate nobody saying uh what Ariel is saying so I’ll use Ariel as an example because I think Ariel and I are aligned mostly but slightly different in certain regards but Ariel is saying I need to see more I need to hear more I need to understand what’s
Happening and until then I’m just saying I don’t know what to make of it yet uh let’s let’s carry on and see what happens anybody saying that is endorsing it in some capacity how is that possible like what what is the what is what is the logic behind the idea that like that
Is a vote for um lack of decency or something like that like there’s just there’s just bad intentions coming from a lot of people who want everybody universally to condemn this which is fine you can feel that way but it’s just not real it’s just not reality like no
No one thing everybody’s going to come out and just be like yes we’re all on the same page and we agree 100% uh with everything that everybody else has said it’s just it’s just not real it’s just not real like whatever you want for it it’s not so don’t watch
Period and I will also say that we need to take uh who sometimes seem to be the loudest as centers to these off-brand events uh we need to take I think their point of view with a bit of grain of salt just like you want to say about me
That I worked you know it does often feel like the loud Des centers are the ones who are looking to Curry favor with the UFC brass by [ __ ] on these types of things and turning a blind eye to actual legitimate issues in the world of
Combat Sports MMA or not um I it’s just like you can it’s like clockwork every time you can see it coming a mile away so but but even even if they were genuine right I’m not going out there myself let’s say they were yeah I’m I’m
I accept your point I I think there’s accuracy to it but even if they were genu I’m not coming out and saying how could you how could you stand against this fight how could you not think that this is great nobody’s trying I’m not trying to sway anybody’s opinion I don’t I
Don’t personally care about their opinion but the other side of the argument is always saying how could you how could you do this how could you do this how do you not agree with me I just don’t I’m sorry unfortunately I don’t like that’s just the reality but I’m not
Trying to change your opinion I’m not I’m not concerned about your opinion you can like it or not like it I’m not I’m not after your opinion however you feel about it is however you feel about it so even if they are genuine that’s their opinion but they don’t need to come
After my opinion or your opinion or somebody else’s opinion that’s just that is what it is uh James welcome back Ariel do you think Dustin will get the next title shot if not who do you see him fighting next also question for GC when are we getting that MMA hour
Merch um I think there a chance Dustin gets it I think it’s going to be interesting to see what will headline that 302 card in June Islam seem seems to really want to fight in June so I don’t know I think it’s a chance I don’t
Think it’s a crazy thing especially if I don’t know if if if Max and gatei beat each other up and if given the Good Vibes that Dustin has generated since that win on Saturday I don’t think that many people would be too upset and I certainly wouldn’t be so I think this is
A shot um here’s a good story from Mark and and I don’t know anything more than that at this time just for the record konas toel quick story question I was in Paris last week with some French work colleagues it was Thursday night sitting in McDonald’s post some beers it was
That time where people started looking at their phones then suddenly they started speaking in French mentioning Cedric cedri I was thinking no way in hell are these guys actually talking about the same Cedric they were but these guys girls have zero interest in MMA I asked them are they MMA fans and
They said no but they like Cedric Doom I couldn’t believe how popular he was so my question is is there another person who is more popular than the sport itself in a given country amazed um he’s up there he is he is someone who seems to cross over
Is there someone bigger I mean I can’t speak for all the countries out there but I don’t I don’t know if you guys have a different example but like he definitely seems given the country big or small he seems to be as mainstream as it gets am I
Wrong in that particular country in his home country yeah in France yeah like I don’t know if there’s another person who hails from another country who breaks through like he seems to break through does that make sense maybe Russia I don’t know show up the celebrities the
Engagement that he gets on social media is like otherworldly yeah what what I think is more interesting to it because I don’t know if he’s like you know the top five of that but certainly a notable name what’s interesting about it is how new he is to the game and having that
Kind of power right typically that’s that’s something that’s built up typically that’s something that you don’t come with and he has it built in and it’s early in his MMA career and somehow he has kind of captured everybody’s imagination and attention in that way that’s what I think is
Significant about it just how quickly he’s done it or how early in his MMA career he’s been able to do it right um yeah he’s that guy King zalo greetings AEL and crew hope all is well you ducked my question the other week so I’ll give it one more shot it’s time for
The Super Bowl of darts the UFC 3 300 of darts turny style competition with New York’s finest El naiz money Burks himself and the one and only mysterious Frankie one night one dream a chance to take all the glory stop ducking GC let’s do it hewani what do you guys think
Should we make this into a special uh I saw the guys over didn’t the bartool guys do like a free throw competition on YouTube oh yeah where they uh they they tried to make like 41 consecutive free throws it took them like 18 hours or something did they actually nail it yeah
They got it eventually damn that is stressful it was when they sign up with DraftKings I think like Dave Porto had to hit the last one and he’s terrible at him and it was a whole thing they they had like a whole order they had to hit
He had to hit two in a row in the middle or he had to hit the 41st and the 30 it was a whole thing were mimicking Miami Heats like record-breaking like hitting as a team 40 free throws in a row like in live games break do you think we
Should do a special event like that yeah I’m down I’m down I mean I’ll smoke y’all for sure wow and I gave Mike hech to work on Saturday it’s it’s easy I mean we see how you do get fired up I saw you during the Street Fighter um
Competition yeah yeah I mean Rick Rick gave me the business there though um Rick are you in I wasn’t on that list so uh I’m no you are uh very fortunate no it’s I heard uh GC Ariel and Frank so New York I think New York’s finest is that would
Be you you know I I don’t hear name so I’m going to I’m opt out it collaborative all together here’s the here’s the problem I’m going to sync you guys and I don’t want to do that what I thought we were going against each other yeah we’re going against each other it’s
Not like a colle oh then I’ll do it and just be like a layup sure I’ll participate and just be so much passion um it’s not my thing it’s not my bag sorry Frank yeah man of course wow this is this is break out the Luchador this
Is do G happen all right maybe we’ll do a big um just say it’s DOA yeah this is to become the MMA hour darts champion uhhuh can we bring in like sky and uh the other everyone big Michael Rapaport no I was thinking maybe like
The top three maybe maybe uh was the top three I think Eddie got eight did he get I was going to say I think Eddie needs to be in there who else I feel like someone else had a great one oh and then we bring Jack sha in too oh yes and then
One more so we have four four hour and then four uh of the people that have been on the show Cody rhods wants a rematch there we go Cody rhods Jack Shore Eddie and Scott Nicholson and eclectic crew Alex Pera I think is going to kill me the next time we ever do
This um here’s Louis hey Ariel no question but just appreciation for getting DP on Monday’s show I’ve been a fan of his for years and my fandom continues to grow and not just the fighter but the man he’s truly one of a kind and knowing he’s closer to
The end than the beginning is a bummer I love the appreciation he gets while he’s still here and I’m rooting for him to get another crack at the title you’re the man Dustin and also just the man uh great feedback from that interview and in particular the last spot um where
He was talking about some of the stuff he’s been through so I appreciate that very very much it I mean how could you not be a DP fan even if you are a BSD fan I feel like it’s hard not to respect the guy um how about all the did you see
All like the fighter reactions like Justin gagei and Max Hollow just like out when Dustin wins these are guys he fought you know in like bitter kind of not not bitter not bitter but uh back and forth kind of like War type exchanges and they’re just like losing
Their minds with Glee when Dustin por gets it done he’s very he’s very lovable H said something like he was like man I hate that guy talking about BSD yeah I don’t know how you can hate that so so Random he’s like the nicest guy I don’t
Know what there is to hate about him but I don’t know if they it’s something in between each other or not uh here’s eth oh he did call him out so maybe that’s why oh Ethan hey Ariel and crew with the Oscars this past Sunday would love to
Get a ranking from New York Rick GC and Frank of their top three nominated Best Picture movies my ranking Oppenheimer holdovers anatomy of a fall love the show and been a listener for over 10 years I think it’s interesting that Ethan didn’t ask me this question but
This shows that he’s a real fan of the show because I’ve not seen any of these movies and I’ve only heard of one of them Oppenheimer so do you have a top three uh I have a blind spot here I actually watched uh I actually watched
The Oscars on Sunday it was great how was it Oppenheimer cleaned up it was good produ value is high what won best uh best movie Oppenheimer best movie Best Director did Barbie get nominated yeah Barbie did get wow uh I’d go Oppenheimer uh killers of the flower
Moon that was also great uh and then and then I’d probably go poor things three wow now did you see all of them because I have some blind spots there some yeah I haven’t seen uh haven’t seen American uh fiction haven’t seen Liv I do want to see fast lives
Though I haven’t seen anatomy of a fall saw Maestro I see there’s a few that I really want to see I haven’t seen the zone of Interest I haven’t seen the holdovers and I haven’t seen anatomy of a fall but I’ve seen everything else oh sorry I didn’t see American fiction
Either but that’s like my next one on the on the Queue this is a really good best picture year um of the ones I’ve seen I’m going to put Oppenheimer one poor things two killers of the flower Moon 3 yeah I was just flip Killers past lives is
Right there though past lives I want to see past lives it looks great it looks great uh yeah Emma Stone shout out poor things great two time act tremend actress uh Frank what about you I’ve only seen two which was Barbie and Maestro oh my God hav seen Oppenheimer
And out of those two I would say that my show deserved higher accolades than Barbie just moving on um yeah yeah that’s all I got really I have nothing to add uh what about Robbie hi Ariel quick question about 302 rumor has it it’s in Newark is this true shout out to
You and the crew always providing the best sports show in the world thank you uh yes this is the latest talk can’t confirm a th% but uh the talk lately has been 302 in new workk on June 1st let us see if it comes to fruition Um Jack hey team having watched countless of hours of fights do you think you could Corner a fighter if yes who would you want to Corner remember you were just cornering them for their fight jumping in as they make their walk uh Sherm boy are those bills depleted
Yeah it’s been a tough time uh I’d like to think that Mr Bean and Company Mr Pula they have a long-term plan here but tough to see I mean just absolute important the most important pieces especially on the defensive side of things Trey white Mah High Jordan
Puer signing with the dolphins is weird um but I always kind of felt like he wanted to go to Miami anyways Mitch Morris uh tough days tough days but hopefully there’s a there’s a vision um I it would be great I would love to corner a fighter one thing that I’ve
Always wanted to do is just kind of like experience everything other than the fighting because I just I I don’t have it in me um and I’m not going to offer any advice but just to make the walk what does that feel like what is it like
To be in the trenches what is it like to be there all week it’s all about the fighter you got to be there when he’s cutting weight you got to be there preparing the food you got to be there when he weighs in you got to be there
For the after weigh you like just beginning to end Soup To Nuts fight weak making the walk the highs the lows the anxiety get to the Ena like I would love to experience that am I worthy of experiencing it no absolutely not I’m not a part of the team I offer nothing
But I just think that that’s an incredible bonding experience and I love to see like how everyone is just all about that one person just to see them succeed do everything possible to see that person succeed um it’s an incredible thing it’s really cool and then you see like the the the the
Jubilation you just kind of see the the pressure just get lifted off their shoulders in the aftermath amazing so would be cool but I’m not pushing for it cuz I don’t deserve to be there uh odad hi Ariel and crew why in your opinion does the UFC
Not do more stadium shows the amount of times they had over 50,000 can be counted on one hand I think I think Dana just doesn’t like how it looks first of all the outdoors makes him nervous um I think he just doesn’t like how it looks to be honest um the outdoors makes
Him nervous from a weather perspective but I think he thinks that it’s just too big or it’s too far away but I I feel like as time goes on they’ll do more and more of them it just has to be the right fight right venue but he has said that
He has said he the ner the the the weather makes him nervous and then the fact that some fans will be so far away it’s a small playing field if you will so it doesn’t make for the best experience Jake hello Ariel quick fun question with the release of the new WWE
Game which I have downloaded WWE 2k2 24 I’ve played it twice with my kids and I the graphics are insane first time I played with Brad Hart second time I did uh Royal Rumble the graphics are insane incredible I can’t wait to really we haven’t had a chance to really sink our
Teeth into it but it is fun it is fun anyway the question is who is one ppres wrestler you think could have or still could make a run in UFC simar similar to Brock Chad Gable maybe he came to mind former wrestler who else it would have to be
Someone with a wrestling background Gable stevon I’m G to go with him has he wrestled yet H he’s popped up here and there he’s on NXT what’s the deal um well he just finished college and there was some talk of him wrestling this year he’s still so
Young he’s like in his early 20s so so that’s just like they just signed him super early got it got it got it okay and he had no experience he had never done inds like they were you know getting in on him early oh Valerie lareda would probably be a good answer
For that um Juan Sanchez hi Ariel and crew you mention often how you dread the process of booking guests true I’m curious how many requests you get from Fighters wanting to come on the show does that make your job easier do you welcome it how often do you have to say no don’t
Have to say no often that’s more from like PR people but yes it does happen more uh it’s great when it happens and it’s a big name um my favorite is when they asked to be on and then they make it difficult to actually like seal the
Deal um but it does obviously happen more often than not these days and that is tremendous I love it uh it definitely makes my life easier especially when I could do it in advance like a week out oh what a nice thing especially for like
A Monday show so I have to be less stressed going to the weekend uh have a couple people in the back pocket amazing uh just a few more here Shane Ariel I’ve seen Mark Goddard be interviewed on a few MMA platforms recently curious as to why you haven’t had him or other
Referees on the show I did ask Mark on Monday to come on following the uh Cedric Doom thing and he politely respectfully declined gave me a long reason as to why um not personal um between me and him of course we’ve always had a very good relationship but
Um yeah I he he he didn’t feel like it was uh the right call at the time but definitely reached out wanted him on hopefully in the future and he has been on in the past and other referees I’ve talked to I’ve talked to him Big John Mike
Beltran um several others don’t want want to be on don’t feel comfortable being on and are sort of I would say encouraged not to do media but those oh herban has also been on uh Adam good afternoon Ariel it’s Natan leevy fight week I was wondering if you have a
Relationship with one of my favorite members of am Israel I would love to see him on the show one time maybe even cover my boy Eli barsel at some point too Israeli MMA is on the rise also this needs to be said I love how you use your
Platform to promote peace and love for our people back in the Holy Land you are truly a mench f the haters and the trolls yours always Adam thank you very much I appreciate that and I will always and continue to do that um have never
Had an a ton on but perhaps if he wins on Saturday we can have him on Monday um just never have found the right opportunity but definitely uh think that he’s doing incredible things for the country and representing the country and doing it the right way and uh I think
It’s uh it’s one of the more interesting fights on the card this weekend so let’s see how he does uh shout out to Floyd Mayweather who has been very supportive as well if you look on his social media pretty cool not really quite sure why he
Is but it’s amazing to see so and and very very very much appreciated uh Steve hi Ariel and crew longtime listener firsttime writer from Rainey Colchester UK not a question but I thought you would all appreciate hearing about something that happened to me today I was driving through suffk for work and
Popped into a big Tesco for some lunch I’m picking out my meal deal BLT Doritos Heatwave and Diet Coke and I turn around and who do I see walking down the aisle Triple A Almighty Arnold Allen No Cap what are the odds of seeing the meal deal King himself in Tesco whilst I’m
Also getting a meal deal myself anyway I thought that was pretty cool and thought you’d appreciate it all the best of much love Steve I do appreciate it and that is what a dream what a dream that is that’s absolutely incredible I mean I I
Feel like I would buy my meal deal and then just have Arnold Allen sign it and then put it in a% did you see the uh did you see the shirt that he got designed the Tesco Almighty shirt well you didn’t see this you’re kidding me no oh I’ve
Ordered it it’s on the way you ordered it are you kidding me of course let’s see if I can let’s see if I can pull this wait does he have to be sponsored by Tesco for this no no no I I’ll I’ll show you what we’re working
With here let me pull this bad it’s like parody right he’s like utilizing um this is like this is like going to the park and you see Michael Jordan playing pickups like this is like next level going to Feld and like Babe Ruth is just chilling oh Babe Ruth’s
Just taking BP take a look at this bad boy oh wow that’s the back of it wait does it have like his actual selections what are the what are the things I can’t see no it’s it’s they all say Almighty it does say pork added gains and then this is
The front so good Almighty make make meal deals great again it’s so although if I can offer because we shower him with love I I would love to see the make great again line be retired everyone’s like variation it’s just enough no it’s just why why why can you that’s not that’s
Not a political statement it’s just like I just feel like I see it so much in so many different ways yes uh can you text Arnold Allen and get his account of events I’m I’m interested to see do you think it’s possible this guy’s lying did
He no I think he’s I want to know what happened he get a picture come up do you guys have a picture for advice from the sage master ofal deals what did you say to him did you recommend a meal deal to him this is these are the things I need
To know uh Gabrielle hello Ariel and crew quick question any update on a potential live show for UFC 300 or International fight week from a huge fan in Bakersfield California what can we say about this gentleman anything at all I I have to admit I missed it I
Missed the whole question no I heard the question yeah I just I I don’t know it so you go I mean it would be no there there won’t be there’s not going to be a show in front of a live audience like we did in like we did in New York but
Potential boots on the ground will we be in Las Vegas one month from today potentially who’s to say who’s to say who’s to say what hotel would I be staying at well don’t say that say yeah don’t say that yeah uh more to come more
To come but yes uh no plans for a live show like we did in New York prior to the MSG card but opportunities to do meet and greets yes so stay tuned uh Dan Dan asked a question about the July Manchester card and Tommy fighting on the card this is again something being
Discussed but all very fluid let’s see but yes it it is a thing that is definitely there and has legs let’s see if it uh comes to fruition Ahmed says that he sees me or saw me in Riad at AJ and ganu tried to contact me but I was busy with
Oladipo um I’m sorry about that I would have loved to say hello he says I was looking forward to meeting you in person my question is how do you rate your experience at the Kingdom would you consider returning uh latter yes um uh former question uh like I said I I was pleasantly
Um what’s the word not surpris is in the word but it was just like it was it was a just I felt welcome I I I spoke to so many people about it and everything they said was accurate and what I experienced um the warmth and the welcome and uh I
Appreciated that very much just very warm peaceful kindhearted and sincere people so obviously they have a lot of work to do in terms of you know the the evolution and development of the country and when it comes to the events the timing and the crowd and all that stuff all very
Much a work in progress but an experience and I’ve been lucky enough to be at events in Japan Australia Brazil England Ireland uh I said Brazil uh USA Canada and so many of other places and so this was just an Abu Dhabi um another great experience that you know I’m happy to
Have experienced uh maybe just one more okay here’s a good one uh to end on Peter Ariel Monday’s show was Unreal as far as the range of emotions and characters with the Joanne interview you said a piece of you feels guilty when Fighters you’ve known from the start of
Their Journeys retire do you think that is something that will be something you carry through the next generation of Fighters or is it more personal with those who came into the sport alongside thanks again for the great entertainment the days are tough sometimes appreciate you and the whole team much love my man
And yes um I I do feel it’s those fighters from like the 0708 09 10 11 12 13 era you know and even some that came like kind of going into like the mid Fox era and like when I started um and in particular the ones at the very beginning preux MMA
Rated Jerry Park days it will never be the same the connection will just be different because I was a complete nobody and the vast majority of them gave me the time uh of day so you know if not for that I would have never been
Able to advance and get my name out and get my work out there and so they had to say yes when I was contacting them via Myspace back in the early days a lot of them and you know I will forever be in dead and that’s why there’s there’s a
Bit of a guilt in that I get to continue and they don’t in this particular way but they’re continuing on to do other things and hopefully great things and different things and all that it’s just it’s they get to say goodbye or they have to say goodbye and I don’t
So that’s that’s what I talk about I don’t know if I’m verbalizing this the right way but it bums me out to see them sad and I also know that with that sadness is just sadness for the end of a road and a journey but I feel like with
Someone like Joanne she’s so happy in her personal life and the way in which things have played out um that that’s a beautiful end to a story all the this is going to end soon at some at some point it’s going to end the show’s going to
End I’m to not cover like it’s always going to end there’s always no one does anything forever and ever and ever um and you just hope that there’s joy and and happiness as far as the journey and you’re at peace and you can move on without regret um that’s what I hope for
All the fighters I appreciate everyone who sent in questions thank you very much I could sit here for four hours answering all these great questions but I feel like we’ve touched as many as possible time now for a word from our good friends over at draftking sports

Dk.com bball for eligibility and deposit restrictions terms and responsible gaming resources yeah all right guys parlay Pals this is the week this is the week that you get back on track the winning streak starts now I feel it in my bones what do we got what do we got yeah hopefully it is
Hopefully everything you just said is uh is on the nose as they say oh yeah uh still awaiting julana pñ pit she’s got to finish up some research no we’ve been in communication okay okay okay we’ve been in touch I mean last week it was is
She centered on like Sunday she was just re revved and ready to go uh so this week you know she’s got to put in the last research so we’ll we’ll kick it off and then we’ll get from her so I’ll go ahead and throw our throw our names in the old randomizer
Here all right I will go first this week Rick will go second and then uh old Frankie will finish it off for us let’s go uh I’m gonna go alternate total rounds featured B of the evening light heavyweight oven St pru Kennedy en zuku
Under two and a half oh yeah wow minus 3 70 H makes me so nervous uh not for me in this fight SP you know aging been knocked out in three of the last four fights Kennedy many knockouts throughout his career I think but he has
Gotten got got iced bad by Dustin jacobe last time out in like 67 seconds so I think both guys are are liable to get get got here all right there’s one you know me I love alternate round totals as well I’m heading to the main event and I’m going under three and a
Half to be a little conservative 320 I like that I like okay okay okay okay under two and a half minus 190 said I was only going to do five bets this week that is 10 thing to add Inus one 190 in a Tai toosa fight yeah I
I I was thinking two and a half and then I was like you know what let me just give a littleit that’s tempting to add as a single all right Frankie your choice there’s only one move to make to do only one PNY Keon said versus Macy
Chosan going over two and a half wow a bunch of total players no money line here on UFC Apex 88 we’ll leave that for you know jilon uh yeah there’s a couple good ones for uh all right they gets us to plus one okay okay pick still I like that I
Like that I’m curious to see where she’s gonna go not the easiest card not the EAS it’s not and there’s pretty is there is there anything else let me see I was talking to my guys over typology uh well there’s no there’s no uh no not on draft games there’s two
Cage Warriors KW USC no next week belor now it’s pretty much down to this fight night card huh she’ll find something Callum Walsh minus 1800 Walsh you going someone asked me yesterday if I was going I’m not unfortunately it’s at the uh theater you forged Ires taking over New
York though yeah um all right well we’ll see they really pushed this C wash on UFC p really push yeah hard uh dating Tabitha I believe as well oh uh baby shark yeah baby shark shout out to him good for him all right what else we got uh all right
I’ve got five bets for you like I said I had to show some restraint but but it feels good I feel I feel rejuvenated I feel refreshed just going with the five we’ll start with Cory McKenna uh I like the wrestling here amam I feel like this
Is sub early or or she’s going to get outpointed throughout the three rounds um big reach disadvantage but I I’m still okay with her on the feet I I don’t have massive confidence in in amam Sams uh and then just the wrestling of cor Mna she’s shown good submission
Defense in the past I think she can avoid getting submitted and pick up the W here next up Banger of a fight cannot wait for this one Christian Rodriguez taking on Isaac dgeren if you’ve watched delarian fight I mean the dude is vicious last time out finishing Francis
Marshall just absolute violence when it came uh to that finish and and if you go back and you look at his fights six professional four amateur 10 fights total 10 and0 across those all 10 wins coming by first round finish uh we haven’t seen him leave the first round
But there’s no evidence that shows he’s just going to completely fall off a cliff in terms of gas he’s fighting at featherweight I think he’s going to be in great shape c Rod moving up to featherweight after missing weight at bantamweight a couple times curious to
See how he does there this would be the third straight fight that c rod took someone’s o if he ends up coming out Victorious here but Cod himself seven of 11 have not gone to a decision I think this one’s going to be fun I think it’s
Going to be chaotic and I think someone gets done in here next up already mentioned them Kennedy in Z wo man I always struggle with that one I feel like feel like I’m it’s always going to come out good when it’s on the tip of my
Tongue and then half the times I mess up no it’s good and I think the Wu I don’t think you go with the w I think it’s just enzu enzu that’s what I think but I I feel like I’ve said it 80 times and I
Could say it 80 more and I’m still at hitting at a 5050 rate on getting out but I am taking him by KO TKO OSP 40 years old at this point um not really sure where he’s at in terms of where he wants to go in his fighting career uh
Kennedy on the flip side yes he had the one standing Guillotine uh but eight of his 12 wins have come by KO and as I mentioned earlier in the parlay Palace OSP KO and three of his last for fights I think Kennedy gets this one done to
The co-main event Pooh Bear I’m gonna take Brian battle uh he’s going to be the bigger guy here three inches height three inches reach I like the kick game of him uh he he’s not as powerful as anoa per se um but I do like him in the
Striking in this one as well I think he’s got the better wrestling and I trust the gas tank the the worry is if angeloa takes him down I I think Brian battle has the better grappling maybe not the better uh defensive wrestling definitely not um but I don’t know I
Mean we saw him struggle so much against rat fak rnof I don’t think Aus is R not [ __ ] ROV so I think this stays standing and if I think it does go to the ground I think Brian batt will be able to handle himself well in the grappling so
I think he gets it done shout out to PO bear and then I got a parlay Thiago Moises Mike Davis Moises opponent coming in on real short notice he’s the younger guy the more experienced guy the more skilled guy I think he’s got it covered everywhere and then Mike Davis same
Thing my biggest worry is is inactivity but Natan Levy hasn’t fought in a in a good while either I think he’s just the better fighter in in every realm than than niton Levy so I feel like both these guys get it done on Saturday that’s that UFC Apex 88 go short brief
Five picks Ron UFC Apex I thought you going to do like one I thought you were going to do one it’s more than I thought a taiu iasa Ty under two and a halfus 190 is whispering in my ear right now all right even more even more to come um
Well there is more in the uh in the breakdown Department over on the no bets bar podcast oh yeah we did the whole thing yeah the whole thing this where you really earn your money when you’re breaking down UFC apex apex 89 Apex 88 Apex 89 next week Apex 90 first
Week of April nice stretch yeah they’re uh they’re tough hang the top um this is what we get for 299 and 300 though it’s worth the price of sure 100% uh by the way I I just missed this well I missed it but now I
Just saw it uh an Off the Grid question here from a personal friend of corporate Alex to us I don’t think he went the traditional substack route but uh he went straight to the source so here it is to end the day uh this is from his friend Pete hey Ariel quick question
Since Netflix historically does not disclose the number of streams or views from its content do you think there will ever be a true way of knowing how many views the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight gets live or otherwise I mean I wonder if Pete is asking questions about
Regular combats sports events this is the true litmus of just how big it all is right um no they don’t announce it and I would just say it’s unless they want to right I think this is something that was brought up when WWE announced right even when they want to they they
They don’t want to yeah they never no I’m saying if they wanted to that’s the only way we find out if they come and they don’t ever right which by the way I don’t hate I think so much of our lives are tied into the views on YouTube or
The views on Twitter the views it’s all right there when when people were watching that and and also it just benefits their business to not put how many VI out there negotiate without sure but when I when and I don’t think they need to like worry about views
Necessarily but I I I do sort of Envy a time when like when Walter kronite was anchoring the CBS Evening News no one was like oh today they’re at uh 6,000 concurrence and tomorrow they’re like you know what I mean not everything has to have that [ __ ] counter right your
Face all the time for the creators for the people on this side and for the people on that side like it’s just kind of nice to just watch things without numbers attached to it so I commend the good people at Netflix I think they’re all salt of the earth their Ambitions
Are are all Noble yeah the only reason they don’t is because of that and I wish that more people conducted themselves like they do so uh well done Bravo and I look forward to a day where there are no numbers attached to our work and we could just appreciate it for the brilliant
And the enjoyment that it gives us okay there very beautiful I love it thank you Jens see you on Monday time to go God bless and uh I did see a good uh a somewhat positive update from Josh gross on uh Twitter regarding Mark Coleman so

Line really the screen what happens what or what happened what happened yeah was on my way home saw my neighbor outside I haven’t seen him this year at all and he’s like hey what’s up Frank and I go to dab him up he goes in for a hug
Accidentally knocks my phone out of my hand shatters the screen oh man I’m sorry about that I don’t worry I have insurance like well what’s been going on like I’ll catch up with you later and then I just went inside my apartment crazy um does does your phone Integrity

DP vs BSD is the same as Jake vs Tyson? How high is Ric right now? He's a genuinely fairly intelligent guy but that is a HOF bad take right there.
3:04:25 do playback speed 0.5 speed it’s one single bean and it looks like it goes straight in to the jacket
JJ and tai back to back will always make my day .
Great shows this week !!!
Looks like the worst 4 hrs in history lol
The disrespect on the likes, this show the greatness mma podcast today
3:24:17 Idk about the rest of the audience but for me it’s more so I’m tired of hearing jake this and Jake that on THE MMA HOUR. More than about not wanting to watch the fight. Idk if made sense lol
Thanks for the sub ! I dont know who u are but this is very nice from u. Stay safe !
I have no interest in Diaz vs Masvidal in boxing
Joan in bare knuckles would be sick.
Alright guys let’s all remember this Ariel says it doesn’t make a difference whether a fight is on the main card or not, keep the receipt
Way to answer the 30 year age gap question. “It is what it is” come on bruh
I like how hypocritical he is, talking in the show about defending the fighters and unifying the fighters for the fighter pay issues, etc. But when it comes to nearly 60 years old mike Tyson fighting, yeah it's his own thing we don't care, blah blah blah :""D
Sad to think if a fan disagrees with the show we get poo pooed
It's cool Frank, most of us wouldn't have bought those cookies either 😂
Saudi Arabia ended slavery in the 1960s! JUST SAYING
🇵🇸
Another hour of Jake Paul talk there's no point
As usual ric goes on for 3 minutes making the same point over and over someone cut this guy off after 30 seconds
The Jake Paul hour
Man, Ariel’s & Kayla’s friendship. Absolutely love it even when I have thoughts of skipping it 🫰
mike davis thiago moises parlay was an absolute lock in hindsight ofc that was the outcome
Ariel say girl scout cookies were $2 a box lol? Maybe in 1975. Those small ass boxes are like $6-7 dollars
Other media members and outlets aren't getting paid by the broadcaster and working the show. They're just covering the event. Hence why people question you and not other members. Also theres a certain bias that comes in consciously or not when you're getting paid by the broadcaster.
Joanna would beat the piss outta Dern for all the rounds it's scheduled, glad that didn't happen.
Kid hating on Paul vs Tyson is a nerd. Get a life
yes you can compare it to Vitor vs Holyfield. didn’t Jake beat “MMA champs” like Woodley and Silva? the problem is he yaps so much about He’ll be champ and wants to fight dudes like Canelo but doesn’t fight anyone who will get him there. he fought like one decent guy which is “Fury” and lost. now he’s back to fighting the elderly. he just seems like a coward fighting a 60 year old boxer. don’t matter how great he was when he was in his prime. Rick sounds like such an idiot only talking to back Ariel. Mike being 58 is the point of this fight but when he tries to pick a fight with actual pretty active or semi retired boxers like a Ryan, Tank, Floyd or Canelo and says he’ll be champ one day.. no comment on that. no Jake go fight damn near 60 year old Mike.. thats what we wanna see.
Ariel was based af about collective bargaining
