This this is actually happening and we are openly reporting it to make sure that this doesn’t happen again I feel like this is the huge difference between having legal and regulated Sports books to try to protect the Integrity of the game cuz if this guy is doing it with

Them though so CA can I throw you a conspiracy theory on this I love it go ahead all right so just for entertainment purposes only people so my thinking goes they see this Otani thing happen like this is horrible for the sport you have the biggest player the

Most popular superstar what are we going to do to him if this turns out to be you know not on the up and up and if it’s not just isolated to his interpreter if he is involved somehow with this how do you punish him well the NBA thinks what

If we take this guy who’s on a two-way contract he’s not going to be in the NBA very long what if we get him to do this we’ll pay him off hush money on the side to set an example so we can ban this guy

For life so no one else ever tries to do this well so how does that affect like what what what’s the conspiracy part as it relates to Otani if anything well it’s just if LeBron gets caught doing this then what the [ __ ] do you do but if

It’s jonte Murray and you ban the guy for life well it’s like a who cares jump let’s make an example of this guy and now everyone knows this is the precedent that has been set oh that’s interesting I mean yeah that that that’s a good conspiracy theory although I think it’s

At the same time I don’t know that you need the conspiracy for it I mean I I I do think it’s a lot easier to set an example for a guy that that’s on a a 10day contract or what have you as opposed to like a regular player but I

A self-reg body you’re going to be able to catch these things and and I just think that’s not even a spin that you’re putting on it like that is like actual facts that’s actual reality so I I I love what you just said there because I

Think you’re going to see a lot of push back in in some of these like state governments and and in Congress like over the next you know few months maybe few years where it’s like see you know we told you this is getting out of hand

This is dangerous and the truth is when it comes to these types of subjects what you want is actual legal gambling so we can actually catch it instead of just not know what’s going on yeah to to spin my conspiracy a little bit more here of

It’s it’s going to be free money for them to take care of all the stuff that they don’t take care of already now but you know at least they’ll have more of it to do that with well you’re in the DC area seea I mean even if they got the

Extra money they’d still just waste it anyway I’m sure I mean yeah it’s just it’s just such a sad State of Affairs the the infighting that goes on here but you know you you see it nationally I mean you see it I I guess you know in in

Probably not in Canada as much actually now that I think about it but uh yeah in terms of uh resource allocation uh we don’t know where that’s going to go but to Byron’s point you know a lot of times you know you’re going to get that money to infrastructure and schools and like

You know Lottery money for example usually goes to schools and education and things of that nature so yeah there there’s a lot of Revenue that the that these states can enjoy if they just kind of Buy in and fortunately we’ve got I mean I think we’re in like the 36 to 37

States in the United States that actually you know have bought in have legalized gambling and the other ones will tumble too when they see all the revenue going uh to all of those other States yeah and if you are in a state that has yet to legalize Sportsbook

Really interesting part about the cover and I don’t know the details of the investigation I I believe it’s still pending but what’s interesting about what happened in the game is that the team that was apparently like shaving points or or or like kind of on the hook

Here for for the illegal activity was giving up buckets on defense and that’s like a really easy way to kind of shade the the the line it’s not like missing shots necessarily it’s just like playing Olay defense and letting your guy get by you that’s a lot EAS that’s that’s a lot

Harder or easier to disguise than it would be like actual volitional things like T like making shots or or getting rebounds where you can kind of zero in on that but if you’re just late to Stepping or to somebody’s First Step going to the hole it’s very easy to

Disguise that so I I just think there’s really interesting ways and this did come up a few weeks ago with that college basketball game interesting ways to actually you know do this and do it in more of a sneaky way but again they got flagged because this line should not

Or I guess he does the decade golf with Scott fet so they figured out exactly which courses he needs to play and he’s been playing all the right courses he wasn’t at the Val Spar last week which is like a little more you know um dinky

Dunkey I think he’s played all these big boy tournaments that are setting him up perfect for the Masters I’m kind of curious if he wins before the Masters or not I’m kind of almost made it up in my head that he’s gonna because I got a 550

To1 out rout on him there but um I love that I love this cfit I love how he’s playing I mean plus money even money for a top 20 is perfect yeah it’s one of the same reasons that I ended up on Cameron young in the similar market last week

Seea mainly because he plays long I mean Valspar for you know what the yardage says it just just over 7,300 yard it is a par 71 it is a longer course than I think that people give it credit for and this one obviously being almost 7500

Yards and a par 70 is super long that both zot Tores and Cameron young just play long hard courses really well uh when you don’t have to be minus 24 to win a tournament that maybe you can be minus 12 you’d have to think that that

Is the optimal setup for will zator to either get a win or be contending on that leaderboard because as Byron pointed out you know Riv beill they are more in the ilk of Memorial Park than you know Honda or the players is yeah and obviously you know a miscut

At the players didn’t serve him well but I I I do agree with the analysis you’re kind of opening up Old Wounds for me fresh wounds I should say because by the way you’ve brought up Cameron Young’s name twice I had him outright and just

So you know I just want you all to picture this so I’m watching it and he’s heading to the 18th and we had malady hit it into the rough on 17 I believe and I didn’t know like they went to commercial like I didn’t know that he

Was going to get relief and so I’m looking at the live odds and Cameron young right before that was minus 400 but whatever whatever malady was is probably like plus 270 or something it wasn’t a good enough hedge opportunity in my mind so I just kind of waited and

I was like all right looks like Cameron young has got this and then all of a sudden the odds went away and they froze and then I saw the relief get granted and then I saw what he did to put it what like four feet from the hole and I

Was just so discouraged because again at the same time Cameron young puts it like you know basically in the street or in the woods on his t-shot on 18 so uh the analysis though was on point because again I had Cameron young outright last week but but you you the same analysis

Nationality prop but uh yeah I mean you know his finishing position last year was like kind of curious I mean I understand why he’s a good course fit the round the green game’s definitely gonna GNA benefit him let’s see what he does with the ball strike g off the tea

I think he’s a really interesting case study in terms of how some of maybe some of these shorter hitters can play Memorial Park my gold pick if if that’s where we’re going now is I’m going to go with step jger in a tournament three ball he’s plus 145 over Thor Brion Olsen

And Cam Davis I’ll I’ll address the Cam Davis part of this first I don’t know what’s going on maybe you guys have some info there but it doesn’t look very good and I don’t expect him to find his form so much in this tournament three ball that he’s going to surpass Stephen

Joerger so to me I’m not saying Cam Davis can’t somehow emerge but I’m not counting on it like this is a big fade for me even though he’s a good course fit it’s a big fade for me on cam Davis it’s doron Olsen that I’m probably a

Little bit more worried about but while Olsson is really good uh see can be he can be good with the short game around the green but he’s really good on approach his game hasn’t translated that well from the Euro tour coming over to the PGA Tour and for the record off the

T he doesn’t have what Steph joerger has particularly from a length standpoint from a driving distance standpoint so I really like how Steph jger measures out over Olsen the the problem with jger is of course the putting I think these greens as long as you’re good on approach and you’re you’re somewhat

Close to the pin I think these greens are going to be relatively easy uh to put on Jagger’s lost putting five out of his last six but what he’s done in those last six is he’s managed two tied for third finishes so he’s man he’s he’s

Figuring out a way to finish in the top five notwithstanding a bad putter so joerger at plus 145 over two guys that I’m likely fading in DFS and across most markets Olen and Cam Davis I really like the price on that tournament three Bowl all right let’s get into the underdog

Plays for Thursday we’re going to try to do them up quickly here because there are no rival head head matchups out as of yet um is there anyone that particularly CA or Byron both of you can chime in on this that you’d either want to play on or play against in round one

And that can give us a good starting point oh he’s gonna open up the whole slate to us yeah well we only have so many people there’s like 24 people so Cam Davis is a player that like you hate this week right CA that’s correct yeah

I’m happy to fade Cam Davis so here are our options we can go higher or lower than even par so 70 Strokes we can go higher on three and a half birdies are better we probably don’t want to do that uh three or more higher or lower three

Or more Bogies or Worse does that sound pretty good to you I kind of like the bogey Play I Like The over 70 but the bogey play is is my favorite so but you get a push on three so it has to be four for a

Win that’s a lot of Bogies that is a lot of Bogies you know it’s one of those things too where I I you know it does help to have tea times and and things of that nature uh when when you’re making a bet like that because wi conditions and

Stuff like that but I would I would actually lean to the over of SE it was 70 was the number right so just overpar I I lean to overpar on Cameron Davis see I can get behind that higher than 70 round one for Cam Davis what do you

Think Byron yeah Cam’s a scrappy guy he comes he comes together as the week unfolds I’m down okay and just looking at the weather there doesn’t seem to be a dis distinct split at all on Thursday Thursday does look like it presents the best scoring conditions of the week

However if that’s a way that you wanted to play it so one more we can add to this I mean we can add up to five if we really want to you like norin Byron uh you like hogy do we go hogi three or more birdies are better and you get a

On that guy at a golf course like this that is really just going to reward such good long iron play so much better than the majority of other courses he is is phenomenal with a long iron in his hand with the mid mid iron you the short

Games to be desired but he’s been putting better lately too plus 180 for a top 20 Tom hogi Let’s Go Frogs let’s go ball striking Bonanza baby I think you know the irons can easily take him to the promised land there so I have a couple that I wanted to run through one

I want because I know that you do all the research on this Byron about who actually is profitable in certain markets I would have to guess that baa in the top 20 Market has been amazing so far this season because he either finishes inside the top 20 or misses the

Those ended up missing the cut he G G 3.6 at the Valspar 4.8 at the Sentry and 4.8 at the farmers he finished inside the top 20 of those he gained a stroke at Sony he finished inside the top 20 of that he lost on The Greens at the

American Express it’s essentially a coin flip of whether he’s going to bleed a bunch of Strokes on the green or have just a great putting week every time that he has a positive putting week no matter how minuscule or large it is he finishes inside the top 20 so I guess

You need to be able to read whether or not baa likes these greens or not are they past palum I mean it’s it’s Texas I would say Florida would be the closest to what he loves on those Resort courses but you know we’ll see what he

Can get up to and to answer your question over the last 12 months bat he hasn’t necessarily done the greatest he hasn’t returned you any money in any Market top five top 10 top 20 but top 20 has been the closest it would have lost you just the least amount at $26 so

Scrambling around the green and Mitchell just does not check that box so it’s just one of those things where I don’t necessarily think this is the greatest course for him that doesn’t mean he can’t win it if he’s just completely dialed in with the ball striking but um

I have no interest in betting his outright number if that’s what you’re asking well he’s two to one to miss the cut is why I bring this up and we know you said like hey some guys can get off to a plus three start here and you know

They can always rally themselves back there’s a lot of guys that get out to plus three plus four starts of this course and if it starts going off the rails for him early uh maybe he can ball strike his way back into it and hit everything to 10 feet but that’s not

Really this type of course like even valpar you can make a ton of birdies at valpar like that’s not really the problem it’s holding it together and avoiding the really big numbers or bogey trains bogey trains are prevalent at Memorial so I don’t know I I’m kind of

Digging that one like if he comes out with a bad round one and maybe that’s the way that I’m going to end up playing it maybe I’ll do like a Keith Mitchell fat him round one Underdog that kind of thing and maybe not go that way

The other two names I did want to throw at you is Andrew Novak a top 20 right now or top 30 on Andrew Novak play pays plus 170 uh top 20 would be even better obviously and then Chris gup uh top 30 finish plus 225 CA obviously he hasn’t

Been great but this is the type of course where he could play really well just bombs away chip it around Texas it’s kind of perfect for him yeah and gup has flashed here and there maybe not for four like to me gup is a perfect Showdown play I don’t know that he can

Sustain it over four rounds but you had me at Andrew Novak I mean I absolutely love this guy and I think most people do I don’t think I’m like coming out of the woodwork with hey this Andrew NOC guy’s really good but he’s actually really

Good I had three top 30s last week I hit two of them and the main one that I was really happy about was Andrew nobec at plus 220 I mean this guy is just really crushing in and he rates out pretty well like no history on this of course but

When I when I ran like the weighted T to green stuff and weighted approach things of that nature not a super long hitter but also not super short so I think he’s right in that sort of middle Zone where he’s long enough to to be good out here

I love Andrew Novak yeah he’s gained on the field with distance uh in basically every start that he’s had he’s actually dialed that back a little bit and doesn’t hit as many Fairways but his good drives have gone off the charts during this amazing run that he’s had

Where he’s had you know three top 10 in five starts four top 20s in five starts I don’t know if he’s going to break through and get a win Byron but I I was just going to be pensive and play the top 30 Market should I be playing the

Top 20 Market here at like plus 300 or whatever it is I mean if you’re betting both I wouldn’t be S you know just try win half unit on each I think you can stack them nicely especially with the way the odds are kind of presenting themselves to you
