I don’t want to you want a custom shaft is you want to be specific about the shaft you get and here are your options you’ve got all these things okay the cipher you’ve got the Even Flow you’ve got these all these Project X hazardous shafts fantastic models the Project X uh

Denali and you go on and on and on a lot of Project X a lot of options to choose from I want to we want to know does that even matter well wait hold on see you’re spending 600 bucks on the driver with a shaft but you can upgrade to a better

Shaft these are like $350 shafts from fujiura so you can spend 600 plus another 350 for the upgraded shaft so what we really want to know is should you do it does this matter here’s what we’re going to do I’ve got all these shafts some are many are stock shaft

Options we’ve got a diamana ky life 60 G we’ve got Project X look at this bad boy this thing’s uh 64 G 6.0 we’ve got a t SE shaft we have a hazardous Project X shaft we have a Rog shaft stock another tensi different weight different Flex

Options then we’ve got the new Ventus velor the blue with Valor plus technology 350 bucks we have another Ventus Blue 5 R and we also have the Ventus TR blue five okay so here’s what we going to do we are going to have some fun

Today and at the same time find out in secret if we should spend the money for an upgraded shaft because does it matter or can you just go stock whatever and be totally good okay here’s what we’re going to do I’m going to spray paint all

The clubs so okay I’m not totally going to spray paint them this is spray chalk and what it’s going to do is this we’re going to spray them all to cover up so I can’t tell these were all sent to me so like I don’t know which grip is on what

Or whatever so we’re going to spray them all first so that I don’t know no one knows what what shaft is is What look at that it worked way better than I thought you can’t tell you can’t see it it’s beautiful took two cans of chalk spray okay so here’s a deal Phil Mickelson did something very similar to this at Elite Callaway Center where he’s testing a bunch of shafts

And he did it in a way where he blocked out everything so he couldn’t see what the shots were doing we’re going to do the exact same thing we’re not going to be able to see what happens okay all I’m going to do is connect this Paradigm

All one 2 3 4 5 6 7even you got 10 of of them no yeah 10 then we will see if the um the expensive ones win like if I like the expensive one and did the expensive ones perform better than the stock shafts what do you think will is 300

What’s $350 worth already off to a bad start there’s nine of them not 10 now why can’t we see them while we hit because it’s easy for a decent player and anybody really to manipulate your swing because like if you see it going left or right you can correct we don’t

Want to self-correct we just want to do what we do and let the results speak for themselves and robot wouldn’t work in this scenario because a robot’s just going to do the exact same thing over and over and over but your swing will change based on the shaft weights the flexx point all

That kind of stuff it will you’ll feel it and you’ll do different things so I want to see if those different things are good or not good or if the more money you spend makes you do better things it’s locked down okay what is it I don’t know feels feels fine doesn’t

Other one feels a little thinner but with some weight that’s got a little pop to it I like that I don’t necessarily like the weight that I’m feeling feels a little stiffer but I liked what I felt off the face with the ball feel like it’s shooting out there without me having to

Force anything I’m going to put it in second place right now all right number seven based on the other one this one feels a thicker toward the handle weighting is similar it’s just messing with me because it it feels a little thicker as you get closer to the

Handle okay I felt like that one went really good okay I’m liking this one the feet like up here the TR if feels just I don’t want to say solid but I feel like I can feel the the club where I like it I’m putting them in order of what I like the

Best so this is going to go in the top spot for now number eight here this one feels longer they’re all the same remember and it feels a little whipper oo I feel like I had some speed to it I do not feel like I have the same

Control at the top of the back swing with this this one that I just had with the previous Club I just feel inconsistent with this one the good news is I’m hitting the same shots like all the time with each Club it’s all it’s uncanny but you know that’s what you do

One and that is number two and number two I had in second to last place so fantastic that’s great carry 240 278 good numbers ball speed 146 okay not bad and uh it wasn’t going that high low spin low height okay so you know th that was what that shaft

Was giving me forget about where they are I mean it trackman might not be aimed right and it’s hard to aim when you can’t see anything so I skewed everything right anyways would just looking at dispersion this blue guy what was that this one number three got me the

Tightest dispersion and number three I had one two in fifth place all right so that’s pretty good let’s see the the best well this red is really good too over here the darker red it’s got the farthest shots um not the farthest shots but consistently farther so that’s the red

That’s number seven number seven wasn’t for place so this is good pretty good dispersion I mean three are in the fway past that bunker we’re getting 147 ball speed 251 carry 100 foot height that’s really good and 2474 spin so that’s really good I would say number seven

Performed the best and I picked it as number one now another one that went far is this kind of that is that a green yeah see that green one that one went the far this by far and then this dispersion is kind of um what they’re not bad numbers

That’s number five and I oh I have number five is in second place so that went the farthest 148 the most ball speed 148 247 Carry On average good height 2,300 spins so the top two are the top two those match up okay Grand reveal time for you we’re going to start

Number four what’s this 146 mile ball speed this one’s like um Project X 64 G this was the shortest one right basically fairly accurate it just was super low and and uh didn’t spin very much so there you go next up was number eight and we’re talking 145 mph ball speed

Good dispersion they were just all right for some reason here we go another tensy 55 stiff shaft like pretty decent numbers a little bit too much Spin and they were all right all right we’re getting down to the final final uh four final five here we go top five number

Three we got 145 ball speed this is not a stock shaft this is the um fujikura Venus uh velor plus the newest is the newest one now I got to say okay they were all right dispersion was pretty tight good ball speed8 ft height and 22 like the numbers

Are really good I think for me that just the feel wasn’t as good as the others stock shaft is expensive brand new from Fuji so if you look at the dispersion there great um 5S 50 g stiff shaft numbers are really good and the dispersions among the tightest they just

All went to the right so you could fix that one of the top performers that’s for sure moving on in fourth place was number nine this was ooh the Hazardous stock shaft pretty good 145 ball speed it just I think for me it felt really good and the spin was

2493 so not very different than the previous one 70 G this one was the heaviest one and I missed a lot right most of them went right two hit the fair I hit probably the most balls with this one for some streight reason maybe that’s why I liked it the better than

This one cuz I hit more balls and I just got used to it it’s possible but what’s the heaviest one go figure stock shaft there all right number six coming in in a third place really good um 147 ball speed great dispersion oh this is the um diamana kyi 60s

Flex these used to be a um premium shaft upgrade yeah these are great shafts what do those cost that’s a dam kyly put the price right here those are good some people offer these in a in a stock version not everybody though I used to

Play this shaft years ago and I loved it so no wonder I liked it um everything tight dispersion here really tight just everything’s right everything was right tonight for me so I wouldn’t put too much stock in that in second place number five with 148 mph oh Ventus 5r

Regular the fastest ball speed at 148 fujikura Ventus 5r premium Shack sh here Fuji Ventus second place that was a regular Flex huh and I got 148 ball speed with 100 mph swing speed 2300 spin so it didn’t over spin night nice height everything dispersion is pretty good and in first place well

You got to know what it is right uh 147 mph ball speed 2400 spin 107 ft High tight dispersion little bit right this is the one I felt like was the best Ventus 5S premium upgrade shaft so we got like upgrade upgrade upgrade the top one is a

$350 premium shaft and the the Ventus yeah premium upgrade shaft Dam used to be stock premium upgrade stock you tell me is spending 350 bucks worth the dispersion is tight on all of these tight dispersion I like that you’re not getting a ton more distance you’re not getting it’s not like one’s
