What is up hotties welcome back to another episode of stay hot I’m Bladen Kirk joined as always by my two favorite co-hosts of all time Matthew spawn hour and Theo Ash we’re here with another NFL draft prospect ranking episode we’re here to give you our top five offensive

Tackles in this year’s upcoming draft class but we also have some other things to talk about uh some recent signings some recent trades just some NFL news as we you know get close to the the start of free agency um but I think before we get into

Any of that stuff and before I even talk about how you guys are doing we have to have a discussion about whether or not we are done with the 90s we’re done man we’ve been done we done glad everybody oh my it just what’s killed me about is the regression of all

Of this so it’s like okay some dudes they go on you know back to some games from the 90s and they start posting the low lights of those games and being like no they were all terrible which is a little bit ridiculous but it’s not any different than what people do now with

Current games and it gets people all riled up and now oh the 90s are trash and they come to the conclusion that the 90s are less skilled than current ball which is like true right yes and then people start saying well if if you do this

Michael Jordan now people will do it to LeBron later they do it to LeBron now man it’s something currently happening right so I I I just I’ve just thought the whole the whole bag of please stop don’t do it to Jordan I think it’s it it

Funny the idea the idea that like oh the players get better as as as the sport evolves just like right over people’s head I I don’t get it like how is how is that that not obvious right yeah I think it is funny first and foremost

It’s just funny it’s a good bit the original video where we done with the 9s comes from is a hilarious video the guy screaming and and just saying that like that’s such a good we done with the 90s it just rolls off the tongue it was like built to be

Viral on social media so yes more than anything I I just think it’s funny but I do think that to some extent agendas on NBA Twitter are is like their equivalent to Fantasy Football in the football world where some people just take it too seriously and all of a sudden it’s like

All they know about the sport and there are a couple NBA accounts where you can’t say oh fantasy and bio but they look through the sport through like the same lens right where they’re just like looking to get Jo jokes off on every single thing and that’s the thing about

Like yeah it’s all jokes but sometimes with NBA Twitter like every single little thing becomes a joke like every single little thing and it it does contribute I think a little bit to the non-ball knowing um epidemic that social media has so it’s funny but we also I

Also would caution against getting too carried away because I do think like Michael Jordan played against plumbers is the weakest part of LeBron’s not case like we can’t like that’s a bit guy like it is a bit do not it’s look getting people to the the the positive of it is getting

People to admit that the 90s are like you know not as strong like obviously players are more talented especially when we I’ve had to hear all year oh defense is so bad because the players just don’t care that’s why offenses are scoring so I’ve been hearing that all

Year so yeah recognizing that players are just becoming you know better and better as the sport grows and grows that’s the positive from this and the heel turn from you know a lot of Jordan fans saying LeBron wouldn’t survived in the 90s that’s the best ERA of basketball too well you have to

Understand it’s a different time it’s it’s a different time it’s not like that’s great the negative of it is you know people pretending like Jordan can’t be in the goat debate because he doesn’t play in the most recent Jordan Jordan couldn’t open a door with his left hand actually Michael

Jordan that’s had no left that that is a funny joke Jordan P actually would have put up 40 back in and I think that the disrespect can go too far with the 9s basketball I I really do I think that I think what chilltown Hoops made a video uh

Responding to the Esquire Esquire Sports breakdown of game one of the Lakers versus bulls finals he kind of ate him up a little bit I can’t even lie like at the end the video is like oh look at the horrible defense and it’s just like Michael Jordan doing something sick like

Blowing some by somebody and really that whole video is like Barry mccockener has been doing that right I I think that part of this trend is also the power of Tik Tok because this these kinds of clips and dialogue have been around on like YouTube and Twitter forever and then

Someone brings it to Tik Tok and all of a sudden like it’s a whole it’s a whole Trend so get on Tik Tok because uh that was just a Barry mccockener video that has been on YouTube for years and it’s never gotten 3.1 million views and it’s gotten trend on Twitter you know

So non balln knowers is not a is not a trend I I know you just said it was like a social media Trend Theo but I people have been people have been saying crazy stuff in sports media for as long as we have been alive and really I think there are more

Ballers on social media than like not on social media like you get away from you get to talk to people who are offline and you could hear someone say like Zeke Elliott is a top 10 running back very easily yeah I go to Thanksgiving and and

Like my family you got talk like yeah you got like they’re all like Kenny pickets he’s the he’s the real deal yeah man I’m like on Twitter and you’ll hear some takes that are just crazy so really on social media it’s not so it’s not so

Bad I guess but that’s my only thing is like I I do it’s it’s it will get to the point where there’s too much 90s slander just like maybe there was too much 90s hype before like the answer is always you know I I I I just I just I can’t

Feel any sympathy at all I’m sorry too bad I wasn’t Ines in Ohio as a just just screw that like well we have to we have to consider that maybe we’re no [ __ ] you guys absolutely not are you kidding me like people have been talking about NBA players currently like they don’t care

On defense how that even like that they entirely like all of them collectively have stopped carrying on defense now maybe a star player here or there okay like your average role player from the bench being like you know I I need to make the league and do what I need to do

But I’m just not going to care because that’s my generation like that that to me is so much more obnoxious and so much worse um so I I just I hav I Haven conect go ahead go ahead I stopped myself from posting Jordan’s averages in the 90s versus his averages in the

2000s why did he get so much worse what happened and then when people were going to be like well he got older and he he he wasn’t as good then I’d say well LeBron was still super good when he was in in his late 30s what’s up with that

Yeah LeBron carried the success over to the 20s um yeah seriously I mean that is kind of part of it if you make it a longevity thing I like I said there’s there’s a lot of reasons that LeBron is the goat over Jordan to me um but I don’t

Thinkers is like legitimately the strongest part of it I think it might be the funniest part of it yeah but it’s not the strong the strongest argument plus I was thinking like man we’re how long ago did the plumbers stop did just January 1st 2000 was when everybody stopped being

Plumbers it’s like how how how far into I don’t know when did Lebron play his first game man that’s when the plumers everybody locked in it’s funny because it’s like honestly even in the last five to 10 years things have what I was ridiculous amount I saw a stat that

Like the 2016 Warriors would be like average in offensive rating this season yeah it’s it’s just it’s just crazy the number of guys who can shoot and put the ball in the floor and just make like connecting passes has just gone up so much not saying that guys couldn’t

Necessarily do that back then but it’s like you’d go and look at lineups back in you know I think about the 20 16 Thunder all the time or a really good go look who they were playing in game seven of the Western Conference Finals it’s like caner and

Stephen Adams and Andre Robertson like all on the floor at the same time with Westbrook and Kevin Durant and like Deion waiters Off the Bench and like that was it it’s just dude I mean and that was one of the best teams in the NBA granted I think the reason why they

Didn’t win at all is because they maybe had some limitations but spacing has just improved so much uh it’s prob skyborg era might be the first skyborg player I really believe that and then people I will say this people made the point like well what about in 15 years when when

Wimy is in the goat debate and you know he he played in the more talented era than LeBron like dude I don’t know I’m I’m very open to switching my goat debate opinion of when he does what he needs to do dude I’m not gonna lie to

You I’m switching teams to the most recent person that’s my game plan yeah this might not be a bad game plan but um I don’t know I think it’s funny to project to the Future and try to think about all that will there be a time when

Everybody is just Giant in the NBA and then people will look back on wanyama and say like well he wasn’t actually like in today’s area everybody is s foot six like ly wouldn’t be that special I could also see that someday being something against but it’s like impossible to no right yeah every

Everyone will be playing till they’re 40 and they’ll be like well LeBron that’s that’s nothing you know right or something like who knows what the [ __ ] Could Happen yeah I think the greatest threat to LeBron’s goat case I was thinking about this when looking at how

Good the athletes are now is this being known as the doping era somehow like it got so much better so fast if this was European cycling or baseball there would be conversations about if this is all natural what’s going on which I’m not saying I’m not pointing the finger or

Accusing but like again like if it was any other sport would be questions and when I think about that and I think about like watch the old basketball games versus watching the guys now it’s like dog it is crazy I mean in the weightlifting Community if someone

Starts to look too jacked they’re like oh yeah no no way it’s natural no way I mean NFL players get drug tested like every other week they do they do and that’s why I do have faith in the system I think like I I don’t think that there’s like some widespread conspiracy

Like why everybody’s so athletic now but I was thinking about it I was like if there’s anything that could like bring LeBron’s goat case down it would be like the only thing that could do it at this point is like a steroid thing but I don’t think that he I don’t think that’s

Going to happen but that’s that’s the greatest threat because can’t it can’t also I figured out what happened to the plumbers they didn’t they didn’t just disappear they just all ended up they all end they all ended up playing with LeBron true fact true they did I saw the

Finals 2018 Cavs man they were all on the 2018 Cavs LeBron joined the plumbers and made them team he’s he’s that good he just he wanted a challenge you know no but we have we there’s there’s been some NFL news going on um kind of a lot you know

Kind of a lot I think probably the biggest thing we could start with or if he want to I well I think we can start with Chris Jones um he got his deal done so welcome back to Kansas City they’re probably going to be the favorite to win

The Super Bowl again because of it that was that was kind of the big thing that you were waiting on was if if they don’t bring him back well then maybe you they wouldn’t be your favorite but like we talked about earlier he’s the centerpiece to that defense and you

Know is as good as they were as a unit you need that star there like if the Browns lost Garrett it would be it would be hard to recover from that losing Chris Jones would be would be tough he he he’s worth losing sne over yeah yeah

Kind of I at it and and really that’s my only reaction like he had all did we say on here maybe a week ago or whatever U or maybe last episode we said Chris Jones you have to bring him back it doesn’t matter what it cost you’re gonna have to reset the market

Okay so be it go do it that’s what they did fair enough I would have done done the same thing you cannot replace your A1 tier one guy that easily uh you know with Tyreek he’s the type of dude who’s worth paying a whole bunch of money but

They felt confident that already paying momes he could keep the the offense going uh Mahomes can’t can’t you know do anything for his pass rush so this was a scenario where he could he was a leader you know he ain’t Brady though I’m afraid so it’s BR have Vince Wilfork

Man Willl Fork I don’t know if he was Chris Jones level but yeah I don’t know either but I this whole Saga I guess has worked out quite nicely for all sides like outside of him missing the first game and the Chiefs losing like he was asking for a crazy

Amount of money I thought this off season he didn’t get it which I thought was valid at the time but he hit all of his incentives ended up making a [ __ ] ton of money and then got the long-term deal he wanted like I think everything

From both parties has like made a lot of sense and just been a good marriage honestly up to this point so yeah it’s it hasn’t been without its drama but Chris Jones has absolutely made bank and the Chiefs need to have them to win these Super Bowls so it’s not as simple as

That yeah not let’s move on to Baker though that’s what I want to talk about Baker Mayfield back in Tampa just happened like less than an hour ago um I I I I’m still of the belief that this is what they should have done they

Got a good deal for it it’s 100 million 50 guaranteed so I think that’s nice I think the big thing we were concerned about is him getting like Daniel Jones level money but I think this is a good deal especially considering you don’t really have like the easiest Avenue to get a new

Quarterback that’s kind of that’s kind of all I feel about it yeah yeah Dan Daniel Jones had was a four-year $160 million deal with 92 million total guaranteed this is a three-year Slightly North of a 100 possibly with 50 million fully guaranteed so it’s definitely good too

Uh avoid the Daniel Jones contract I don’t think it’s like a horrific deal but I I don’t think I would have been very interested in signing Baker to even this deal if I was the Tampa Bay GM just I I just don’t think he’s going to win

You a Super Bowl and there’s no benefit so it’s like I I think I’d rather like sign Sam darnold for like way cheaper I I think your ceiling is the same and if he’s way worse you’re in a better situation long term maybe but I mean who keeps their

Job if you just go out there with Sam darnold and you suck it’s not about like keep like I’m talking for the franchise here like I’m not maybe is better for for Todd BS but I’m talking like is this a w or an L for the fans for the

Franchise like does it bring them closer to their Super Bowl aspirations like I think no yeah yeah so I can’t call it a w deal or like man great great work by the Bucks like it it probably does maybe it keeps him from the depths

Of of the league and the out of the basement but it doesn’t completely guarantee that right like if he played well last year I mean what sure but Canal is left and you know Gino I think was way better than Baker before he got his contract and even there like I I don’t

Really think the buyers REM Morris on Gino is quite fair but there is a little bit of it right like he they missed the playoffs the next year like Gino probably wasn’t as strong right like Baker could fall off in that way he could fall off in any kind of way so it

It doesn’t even guarantee you great quarterback play does it no what we from Baker over and it just ensures you mid quarterback play so I I just wouldn’t have been interested in signing Baker like I I think that he could have tested free agency like I and maybe he would

Have come back to the Bucks you know like maybe you could have worked something out he could have seen like oh they don’t have leverage I don’t couldn’t get a hundred million doll deal every anywhere else which I think is very possible like I don’t think it was

Like a guarantee that Baker was going to hit like a huge bag in free agency if the Bucks were to let him walk but maybe I’m maybe I’m tripping I don’t know but I I don’t know I I would just be worried like it’s fine if you if you lose Mike

Evans and then you like you lose Baker and then you also lose Mike Evans like you could that team could become really bad really quickly yeah is that bad is that bad or you could keep Mike Evans and and let paker walk yeah I don’t it’s

I just don’t think it’s better like long like for a longterm perspective this doesn’t get you closer to winning a Super Bowl it just keeps you maybe from being terrible but I I like the Saints get cooked every year for like building a team that is like mid and well the

Saints get cooked because they have no money and they how do they have no money by signing big contracts all the time and having a bunch of old guys and it’s like the Bucks are in this like do you think the Bucks have any shot to win the

Super bowl next season no so like why pay for a for a quarterback I mean like why like why do it if you’re the owner like you’re not going anywhere like why if you’re the owner you you’re not yeah I don’t know I just don’t think

That I why do why do anything then I don’t think reigning Mike Evans makes a Super Bowl Contender I don’t necessarily agree franchise Legend and like a better player to me than so is Baker Baker is not a franchise Legend he’s there for one year he’s not a franchise Legend his

Aura I’m look the fans love Baker I can’t lie like maybe maybe you know that Tampa Bay will not hate you for signing Baker and so it’s fine and maybe this is the fans would rather see Baker be mid than Drew lock be horrible and then you

Get a top Pig I like like no fan I don’t know it’s like I’m not calling for anybody’s job here I guess you could definitely you could definitely get closer to being a contender if you were bad and you stack draft picks and then you gota and you were like able to find

Yourself in a position to draft a franchise quarterback but how many of those teams even that do that end up being good A lot of those teams that go through that cycle a lot of those teams that go through that cycle are bad for a long time even Jacksonville they got

Trevor Lawrence they haven’t gotten anywhere close to a Super Bowl okay but that doesn’t mean you should be happy with being like who’s in a better who’s in a better who’s a better team right now Jacksonville or Tampa Bay jackonville by a better team right now I don’t know

How far how far off is that it’s not that far I mean Jacksonville miss the playoffs I guess I I’m higher on Tampa Bay plays in the NFC South right right right that’s a good point Matt okay you can have your two free wins against but

But what point are you trying to make with the with comparing Jacksonville to Tampa Bay well I’m just saying it’s like because they’re probably about even right so I’m just saying like if if you go and do this like well what is what is a Super Bowl winning success on

On a baker on a midlevel quarterback contract right there’s that’s ever worked ever um yeah probably not either but yeah and like and like I guess I don’t I guess I don’t totally disagree like they’re sort of locked in at this point to they’re almost like the Sacramento Kings sort

Of of of the NFL in a sense where last year making the playoffs and like winning a game feels pretty fun because the expectations were we just won a Super Bowl and we lost and like that’s kind of or we made superow we won I’m

Sorry and now we’ve lost Brady and it we could be bad for a while so the expectations are low and doing that is cool but after a year or two of you know maybe just fighting for a really weak division title and like you know maybe sneaking into the playoffs that becomes

A lot interesting if the team isn’t growing and building and I think signing Baker and being like he’s our guy for the next couple of years probably stops you from growing and building because I don’t think he’s the greatest quarterback Sacramento is sort of the same whereas

They had a very long stretch of being bad so the expectations were low so just making the playoffs was interesting fun and exciting and being good in the regular season but they have to if they don’t continue to build and grow on that I don’t know maybe it’s not the greatest

The way the way that they’re happy with yeah there it’s just yeah kind of how happy can you be with a second round Sacramento has more prospects moving forward I guess it’s not a good one it’s not a one to one comparon I see what you’re saying though because I like I

Don’t think Sacramento is winning the NBA Finals right so but it’s just like if you’re looking at what they could do this year I I Baker obviously makes them a better team this year than pretty much any other option they would have yeah I don’t know if but you know but you know

If if the Giants didn’t sign Daniel Jones after they went to the second round of the playoffs and signed Baker on a six year Oney year $6 million contract they’d be better off right and I don’t think it’s crazy to say like Baker is now the Daniel Jones of this

Situation where they’d be better off signing somewhere else Foraker I think Baker’s always been better than if it doesn’t work and if Baker really is like better than those guys and Baker would have given you fine play and dulock would give you horrific play like I said you you’re not getting

Relegated you’re going to get a high draft pick and and that could have been the understanding going into the year that you know we’re not going to get fired if we suck because our quarterback like Tom Brady retired and we didn’t have the backup on the roster I guess

That could be their fault because they drafted Kyle tras in the second round to potentially be that guy but just just not the way I think is the most efficient way to run a team and I guess the other thing that would suck is like oh well Mike Evans wouldn’t finish his

Career the way he should but it’s like are we really making huge franchise decisions based on like what is fair for Mike Evans maybe you are maybe you are maybe you are just a nice franchise and treating a franchise Legend well and bringing him the quarterback that he

Likes but I don’t know I I think that I just don’t think Baker is winning you a ring and I think you could get the same ceiling for cheaper and there’s no real downside to being bad if you’re the Bucks there’s really not you won your ring it’s a lot of times you

Real could the Lions have had a similar ceiling with with a are are tanking kind of this off season like they’re not happy to just run Russell Wilson back and I know they didn’t make the playoffs but they play in the same division as the Chiefs they might be in the play

They might be in the playoff totally different situation yeah they have no they cut Russell Wilson they cut Russell Wilson to save $40 million that’s why they cut him yeah because he having more money you’d be saving 50 million by not tra you be like not signing Baker Baker is and they

Got R of Judy and they got rid of Simmons like they’re fully like we’re watch they might be the worst team in the league next year but like is that gonna be a horrible thing long term I don’t know I don’t think look I I think I don’t disagree with you necessarily I

Just think it’s rare for teams to to actually do that and sure you can tank but no team is going to tank coming off of a playoff win just not it’s just not going to happen it’s just not in the cards you just can’t like in the building it’s just not

Possible I don’t disagree with you that like Baker is probably a little bit overrated he’s very well-loved but he is an incredibly situationally dependent quarterback uh which is not necessarily bad all the time like he’s capable of good games but I also feel the same way about could or for instance like Drew

Lock or Daniel Jones was good capable of good years um and and I don’t think it’s like the greatest contract in the world but I looked at that and I’m like yeah whatever although I think I’d rather have drew lock tweet is awesome I thought that I guess the difference is like

Number one overall pick so like maybe I think it’s a little unfair to compare Baker to Drew lock and Sam darnold and like guys with that status I think that he’s better than them but is he $50 million better than them like again there’s a gap in I’m

Just the Lions jar G is much better than Baker though Baker was not good now Baker Jared golf was horrible his last year in La he was horrible and he was better than Baker in Detroit was he I think so I think so B Baker didn’t really play well down the

Stretch in my opinion and I I don’t know like he’s still I think saying I think saying Jared gof is substantially better than Baker Mayfield right I think that’s bias though saying that like not I I think it is I think it is okay do you want to go back his contract is

Going to Baker was Baker was on my team too brother he’s not good like I’m not saying Baker I’m not saying Baker has never had bad years Baker’s had some bad years I watched them but like golf he never had a year as good as go go this most recent year

He never has no that’s true and and gol has had other years that are honestly probably golf has maybe had multiple years better than Baker’s best season that’s that’s true but I I I I look I’m no signed off guy either but I’m just saying you could also I’m just

Saying like the way the lions like did their built their rebuild around golf you could build like have a rebuild around Baker it’s not like rebuild or Baker that those aren’t mutually exclusive options I like you could do both only if Faker sucks though right no like if faker’s good how are you

Rebuilding like I guess you don’t need you just draft well like I like I guess but like if you just draft I I just have not moved by the con like I I think the it’s better for Baker than it is for the bcks let me just say that and leave it at

That W contract Baker I’m not mad at him um and nor am I that mad at the Bucks because this is pretty part of the course for what NFL teams do and I get that there’s other factors at play versus like the cold-hearted efficiency of of like draft position so I I fully

Understand all those things but I if I was in charge I would ideally not sign Baker but anyway I have pretty mixed I think it’s whatever I think it’s fine I was shocked I don’t disagree man I wasn’t shocked either but I think there I think there’s a valid argument to like

Take kind of just like redo what you just did with and I and I just know that I I this happened right before we started recording and I just know Twitter is like huge W for the bucks yeah because they love Baker and they’re like oh this isn’t a bad deal like

Awesome awesome deal like I should I should have worn my Baker Jersey for this episode that’s my you should you should have it’s a big day it’s big it’s it’s funny but I that’s where I’m like pushing I’m pushing up against what I imagine Twitter is like right now which I have

Not dreck tweet you know here’s here’s what I’ll say here’s what I’ll say I agree that it’s not as bad as the Daniel Jones deal and I do think Baker is better than Daniel Jones But ultimately yeah I might agree with that ultimately like the problem with the

Daniel Jones deal is that Daniel Jones is your starting quarterback now Daniel Jones could could have been he could be on the minimum next year right and that would make it different but like ultimately if if you you in a contract that puts you in a

Position to have a guy who is not good at quarterback like that’s your that’s your problem and I feel like if Baker maybe isn’t as much money and maybe is better but I wonder if it still leans more Baker is is kind of game manager and he’s not super consistent and he’s

More riing on the rest of the offense and he’s not really elevating you and if you have a quarterback who’s not really elevating you maybe that’s more the problem but I don’t think it’s as bad they just made the playoffs they could do it again I don’t think next year’s

Quarterback is super strong and then you’re only tied for two years so I I I guess I think it’s fine I think it’s fine I didn’t expect them to get aggressive and like not keep him yeah expected this I don’t think it’s like a disaster because yeah maybe I

Might pick him to win this probably I mean this division is not great so I mean he’s probably still the best quarterback in the division so though that’s not saying much um is there any other big news we wanted to hit on Judy to the

Browns Judy used to be I I I used I I’ve always been a big Jerry Judy fan just like when he came out of Alabama I was just like a this guy rocks he was just such a killer route Runner and I’ve recently every year I feel like I get

Less and less enthusiastic about just like Elite route technicians because the hit rate on those guys is so low and Judy has not been the greatest NFL wide receiver but I don’t know I I I do agree the Browns just need a lot of options at wide receiver it it does

Feel like it’s just a lot of Amari um yeah and like that’s kind of all flacko had a lot of success with was like [ __ ] Amari out there somewhere and then nooku had you know some big games also but they just need they just need more weapons they need more threats and

Right now they just don’t have that so I’m I’m not opposed to them getting prevents them from drafting somebody I’m against it no oh they better still they better still draft someone like we just saw Judy as a number two in an offense with a

Quarterback Who a team gave up a lot of resources for and was disappointing and that team traded him for day three picks so now he’s in the exact same situation and it’s like I don’t know why I would expect something different to happen than like him being disappointing as two

Right he’s like he’s whatever like I I think Russ missed him a lot so he could definitely be better than he was I think that it was a like a Sutton and then check down type type of offense last season but he’s just not a very efficient route Runner like he he moves

A lot and versus off coverage he can really do something severe and like take a lot of steps in One Direction really get the corner back off of his spot and then and then like break their ankles right so there are plays like that that are cool and he’s pretty elastic he can

Juke you out after the catch but he’s just not super physical he’s not like efficient beating press coverage and he has the drop issues right like he slips on Turf a lot like he he’s just not a consistent number two at all so it’s whatever like you said Bladen

Like the Browns receiving room needs a lot of help and I could see Judy being an upgrade somewhere but like if their plan is him wide receiver to with Watson like I don’t I don’t like that yeah I don’t even know if he’d end up being I mean if

We’re just talking about offensive weapons he’s like it’s what chub chub Cooper nooku true as the top three so he’s like at best your fourth option in far as getting the football and I don’t even know if he’d be that I mean he’d probably be the third re like wide

Receiver and then prob second think so over who are you putting over him um who is our our rookie I can’t remember his name right now no like I’m just blanking on names right now yeah tman I could see them putting tman over maybe I don’t know

Tman versus Judy’s battle like I I just does that really move the needle yeah get it just do not I want them to add a receiver if Judy is their slot guy and it’s Amari and like Keon Coleman I don’t know on the on the outside and the Judy in the slot

That’s fine but if it’s like Amari Tilman and Judy out there then be sad um I think oh there’s yeah and Elijah Moore I forgot about him too um but he’s he was he’s been he yeah he’s not good so yeah I I I kind of I kind of

Feel that this is almost similar to the Elijah more deal uh it’s very little in draft assets so it’s any any trade for a player who was picked highly for day three picks is amazing on on you know Twitter or whatever it’s the best it’s great I have question

Today well I actually tweeted out a very similar thing where I’m like giving up a day three pick for a one-year rental of a guy who’s a question mark if he’s good like just I just roll the dice on those picks you know you should just be

Drafting that’s how a lot of these great teams have built themselves up and then I got people in my comments telling me I’m trying to be different um really I I thought I saw most of the people being like what are the Jaguars doing I I have

I have I have NOA it’s not even that uncommon of an opinion but it’s like I I feel the same way with the Judy stuff where I don’t even know if this is going to work is their number two I don’t think he’s a bad player like I think it

Could be all right but we’re rolling the dice and even if we’re right you have to you have to pay him next year because he’s on a one-year rental and for 13 million bucks he’s really not that cheap it doesn’t feel like that feels like probably about average for his value and

I wonder if if that 13 million could have been used for for maybe somebody else and you could have just kept your picks it’s like whatever like I’m never going to sit here and like pound the T would be like what a disaster because it was for what a fifth and a

Sixth okay whatever yeah um but I didn’t see this and and and you know my I wasn’t like wow that’s crazy that’s that’s insane for the Browns I thought that was about right I saw some people talking like oh maybe they’ll get like a third or a second for Judy I’m like

There’s just no way right so people yeah people always over there’s all the news now that like Fields won’t get a a second round pick and everybody’s like what it’s like it’s not that that one that one I kind of get because they’re just looking off the

President of the darnold deal but much like the Daniel Jones deal you just have to you just have to keep in mind that uh the team that made that deal was stupid it’s a dumb bad team and that that’s not what you should do so

Oh man yeah I yeah I just I just feel like that’s always the reaction on social media whenever a trade happens it’s like never too too much for somebody it’s always like how did they go for that little because the immediate reaction well it’s it it absolutely

Depends on what it is every every trade is too little because day three piics are worthless and because if you’re trading for somebody how much they’re paid does not matter but yeah every contract is going to be an overpay most of the time although there’s been some

Good ones recently and maybe that’s more true in the NBA where every NBA contract is an overpay but yeah I well the the NBA has luxury tax right so they can they can afford to yeah and then every every trade up in the draft is bad and every time you take

A position player over a quarterback it’s better oh oh okay okay have you guys heard so I when I started saying that like oh the bear should trade up for like a receiver so that they can like ensure that they get one people were like well you have to convince a

Team to trade down all I hear people talk about is how teams should trade down but now that like I’m suggesting that a team should trade up all of a sudden it’s like well well it’s not that easy and I’m like that’s I feel like trading up is

Easier than tring Med always Cooks teams that like tra like Will Anderson got they I mean including us yeah what do you mean what do you mean we love that trade TRS were trading up I don’t know I I agree like if anybody has an analytics

Team it would be easy to convince them to like if anyone into the analytics of it all it would be easy to convince them straight down so and very possible like you go through that but again if if you have conviction on a player and you know that he’s good

Yeah but uh yeah I I’ve also seen that take Flo around in other places blade and that maybe they could trade up to I don’t think it’s been a report but it’s just like an opinion like why don’t they last year I’ve seen it in a couple places now but

Anyway yeah this I want to talk I want to talk about the Jaguars real quick I want to talk about the Jaguars real quick what the [ __ ] are they doing what are they doing what are they doing I’m I am and the ma Jones trade is whatever I

Don’t I don’t care that much but I’m more concerned about them extending Sher and Cleveland on their line their line is terrible yeah and then they spend a six on a on a bad quarterback what is their offseason is off to a horrible start is it not like yeah maybe M could

Be better outside of New England and the sixth round pick is worth it like I’m not even is he G to play I mean is he going to play this year probably not unless Trevor gets hurt yeah right like I I don’t even want to talk about that

But I want to talk about that basically everybody everybody but the center is locked in to be their offensive line next year what are they doing why are they doing that and their coaching staff is is press Taylor still there I believe that he is and Doug Peterson is still

There yeah yeah I I have no idea I I I don’t know why they’re spending all this money to keep an offensive line that’s not good together at the minimum you could spend no money and have a bad offensive line just go get different guys for right right Pi that you use M

Jones and like use it on a bad left guard you can do that yeah why did they give up a pick and extend Cleveland was maybe he’s way better than giving him credit for I’ve never watched him and been like dog that’s a that’s a good starting guard right there I maybe PFF

Likes him or something I don’t know I I’ve never they I I couldn’t remember um yeah I think so that’s the last thing before we get talk about these tackles is yeah it’s just super bizarre did not like him last year okay yeah and they saw what I was

Seeing just super bizarre for them I 100% agree so yeah I don’t know this off the whole MC Jones thing stems from like the backup quarterbacks or super valuable stuff MH I think we’re maybe starting the overvalue backup quarterbacks is that a take this is this is our fault

This is our fault cuz we said this with the Bengals last year we’re like oh they should have invested more in their backup but but they didn’t they but they didn’t and their backup was like backup level right who was who was the star backup of the Year Joe Flaco the Browns

Didn’t invest in backup quarterback in fact their mistake was the guy that they did invest in and use a draft picked da was terrible but they went and signed somebody random not their fault not their they went and signed somebody random from the street and it was it was

Great what are the other star backup quter Josh dos yeah yeah I mean that for what like a conditional start back he was a star backup for the two teams wasn’t he like yeah he and he did it for multiple teams like maybe maybe the backup quarterbacks are not

That valuable like it’s just such a dice roll if any of those guys are going to be able to get like a four game like okay whatever streak going that you kind of can just roll with with whoever and going out and like giving Mitch Tris more than the

Minimum for what man trading a sixth for ma Jones concern is like ma Jones was like worse than the average backup last year M Jones like yeah he’s played some good ball like before and maybe you feel like he could get back to that but you

Know who else I feel like could get back to that like probably like 50 different guys for a 4 game stretch which is really what you’re holding out for right I mean how many different dudes have we seen go on that little Insanity run before the wheels fall off plenty plenty

Now again I we’re talking about paying Mitch trabis two and a half million bucks and trading a sixth for ma Jones so it’s like very light stuff but I I think I think you get to a point where it’s not worth a huge huge investment maybe it’s possible that I would rather just

Like roll the dice on a few who was who was their backup before who was their backup before their backup before was was it um CJ um bethard yeah yes CJ bethard get me on that’s the thing is like the way M Jones played last year you’d be better

Off just keeping CJ Beth and right right exactly that’s my point that’s my whole point okay so maybe like maybe M Jones and here’s the I’m totally open to the idea of like something happens to Lawrence and he’s out for a few games and M Jones comes in and he you know

Throws like 250 yards and doesn’t turn it over and it’s like they they win the game like 22 to 17 or something and it’s it’s awesome and Ma Jones is back and then you know one guy starts up H is Mac Jones is better than than Trevor Lawrence and you’re saying that could

Happen with anybody it could dude that could happen with so many guys and it does dude and it does it happens every year with M it happens every year with M Flo last year was a golden child dude if he played a full season he would throw 50

Interceptions yeah no I I I don’t entirely disagree I I think that M Jones maybe could get back to 2021 levels someday but I I I don’t care about the S I I don’t know I I have a weird like 1% chance that M Jones gets back to like

20121 levels so the six is fine maybe he’s the best backup in the league now that he’s out of New England’s offensive [ __ ] show like maybe you paid for that I I think it’s possible so six whatever extending the lock in and fix your offensive line Jacksonville once once you do that then

You can be paying for backups you think are cool that that’s my main thing but let’s talk about these tackles cuz we’re already yeah we spent we spent 45 minutes talking about NL it was it was it was a lot of news and I think it was

I think it was fun to talk about so I’m not mad at it but we came here today to talk about the tackles in this class that was that is the main point of this episode um I think you know we’ll just kind of go the way we have been we’ll

Start at one work down to five I’m going to go out on a limb and say that we all have Joe alt as our offensive tackle one yes I do okay um I’m gonna pivot to you Theo because you’ve kind of gone back and forth on

How you feel about Joe alt a couple of times uh throughout this process but you have finally locked in on him being the best tackle in this class what was what were you seeing before and what changed your mind I thought that he could have used more power especially in 2022 um just

Didn’t quite see someone who would looked strong enough to really dictate things against top top tier guys I thought and he does play with a lot of forward lean which I was concerned about like you can pull guys forward and they’ll fall flat on their face which

Didn’t really change he still does that to a kind of an insane degree so I guess that is still a concern that is valid but I think he did get stronger I think he did get better and I think his technique isn’t for everybody but it works for him

And I think that it’s when he does have that forward lean in his arms are extended I don’t really know like it’s it’s such a long range that he has like he he can just reach out and it’s very hard to get around him and he takes all

These very quick jump sets get like right on you and he just kills the ref pretty much immediately like over and over and over again and I love that and I just didn’t really see him get like push pulled left and right or like on the ground it just doesn’t happen to him

You know it’s like nobody nobody actually pulls it off he’s a very weird player to watch he’s definitely like one of the weirdest top tier tackles and I like weird I like I’m not saying in a bad way I’m just saying like it’s a little bizarre because his legs are so long

Like he doesn’t even really feels like stretch out that far when he’s trying to set so yeah and the way that he like places his hands instead of like really like punching like not to say it doesn’t work but it feels like so much more of a

Placement that it looks like he’s not trying like all of those things combined like looks like he’s not going that hard he’s sort of just like walking out the where he needs to be and he puts his hands and it works he makes it look easy

But it’s it’s it’s very bizarre how it all what you want want nobody else can do can do it you want a guy that makes it look easy I don’t know one thing that kind of always you know stuck with me especially in the Ohio State game is he

Just feels so patient it’s like he he’s willing to let someone kind of enter his frame because he knows like I’m bigger I’m stronger and it’s like if you get in here like you’re not like you’re not going to like push pull me drag me to the

Ground I I can just absorb you a little bit he does just absorb them he he it’s he just eats counters like I see it must feel like he has four sets of hands when you’re going up against him because he’ll get your his hands on you really

Quickly and then you’ll try to swipe them away and either they just like stay connected and don’t move anywhere or you move them you move his hands off of you and he just like puts them right back just as calm as can possibly be like you

Never see him like a big move like a big swipe and he like goes flying it’s like yeah it might swipe his hands away you might be free for like one second and then he just right back at him and and it just got to feel like what did I just

Expend all that energy for I just I L long AR you can’t long arm him either because he’s got the he’s got super long arms too it’s like yeah he’s and and he’s got the snatch trap and I’ve seen guys like almost try to push pull him

But like as they’re doing that he just like brings his fist down on their elbow and just like breaks them and then he gets so low like to run Block it’s crazy for a guy who’s 6′ n like he just gets so low and pushes on your hip and it’s

Like all of that leverage of someone who’s so tall like leaning forward and pushing you and he he really like moves bodies and I I just think that he’s super instinctive and like he has a distinct play style and he’s very under control and understands his own body and

And what works for him I think my whole tackle list is kind of weird because I think that there are a couple just weird different kind of quirky type of players who who I just think are in like full control of their own play style which I

Really like and I just think they’re polished and complete and Ulta is I think the best athlete of the guys who also just have a good understanding of how they can use their own strengths to win and I don’t know he’s like six foot

N and he’s like his his he ran the three cone he did the agility drills and they were Elite his 10 yard split was Elite like he’s got a great anchor like man he young he’s Inc he’s super young I think he’s a blue chip Prospect like I think

The Patriots could be considering him as soon as number three I don’t think it’ll happen but like bad take he is really good ship guy I do and Harbaugh at number five like if he wants to it wouldn’t surprise me if he wants the the big like special line Prospect I I

Really did come around on Joe Al I wasn’t sold on his technique early but the more I watched him the the more I thought I appreciated what he was do it’s unconventional it just doesn’t matter yeah yeah I think I was yeah I I think that it’s good it’s almost good to

Be unconventional a little bit so he is my ot1 no one would expect it you know people are looking for certain Trends and tactics and you come out with something a little weird they’re gonna be like oh especially if you’re good at it um so we all have all it number one

Theo you said your list is kind of weird Matt I’m not sure how weird you went here also I we were talking about it okay okay so Matt who do you have as as tackle too I still have fisho it too okay um like there’s some valid

Concerns with his game like yeah he can get bull rushed from time to time but I I just think his and he he also can place his hands a little bit too far outside mhm but I I think the base of what you’re working with honestly you were saying that alt

Was was you know super young and athletic how many guys is that true with in this class a lotu uh is is the same way to me I think he moves incredibly well in space for somebody his size I think he does a good job playing low I think his anchor is

Incredibly Elite to the point where maybe maybe your concern would be that it hides some mistakes because sometimes he can let somebody get into his frame and it just doesn’t matter they just can’t do anything and granted that happened against even you know NFL level

Players like uh sawer and and JT when he played Ohio State even though he didn’t have a perfect game that game so maybe you could say that won’t fly at the NFL level but I I kind of think that as a young guy who is improving uh to have that big of a

Superpower it feels like I got to have him at too yeah he he’s a first round pick to me I I have some other guys above him I just think he’s a little choppier and his technique is a little bit more Awkward than some others who

Who also have very good traits but he’s he’s a first round pick very easily like there are no character red flags he’s pretty like he’s pretty good with his hands and his anchor is Elite like his agility and redirection ability is Elite even if he remains kind of awkward and I

I don’t think like his kick slide is like always the most silky smooth even for the of athlete he is and like little adjustments at the second level I think he’s still very much getting the hang on so there’s some guys who I just don’t have really those concerns about them

With but fashanu I think you you can take him in the first round and and really it’s good process top 10 even like you I don’t know if I would I would want to I don’t know if I have a top 10 grade

On him I I could be SED I don’t think it would be a bad pick um there’s like not 10 guys that I would give like a top 10 grade probably but I don’t know I I I do like fashanu I just think that he’s a

Little bit there is a lack of Polish and there is a little bit of uh awkwardness in his game that I don’t see with with two other guys I guess um so then so then who do you have it to then Theo oh God I have the Washington offensive tackle Troy

Fanu o that’s a hot takee I know that might be a I might yeah I think I think it is but I really love him and and I think that he will go pretty high like is he getting out of the first half of the first round he’s he’s a he’s an

Amazing mover like super amazing and he has kind of more natural Le leverage he plays a little bit lower than fashanu which or fashanu I think is maybe the proper pronunciation for it fashanu um but and at any rate back to FNA he or F whose name I looked up before the

Recording and now it has left me as I’m thinking about the other Anu now but I’m sorry Troy Mr Mr I’ll just call him Washington um yeah but I I don’t he he’s so active with his hands like he snatch traps everything like yeah and and I just feel like he reacts so

Quickly to what he’s seeing like it’s never really a predetermined plan like he he almost plays he just plays very loose and and free and he’s super athletic and tweaks his his positioning at the second level so well and I think he works so well out in space and I

Think he’s athletic enough that he can play tackle um he can kick I think he has more versatility than fenu he can go inside the guard and I think he could survive there if tackle is causing him issues for whatever reason whereas if tackle is I I think fashu just isn’t

Quite short and stout enough to to kick inside at all so I do like the versatility of of Washington [Laughter] and um yeah I I just love his game man like this I think it’s good process to take fashu I think that he might go over over the Washington guy but I just

Enjoyed I just loved watching him like he was just a dog to me I I thought maybe if there was gonna be a problem he can he can also be a little wild in his kick slide because he’ll just he’ll take angles that like don’t even exist

Usually there’s like a angle B angle and like c angle he’ll just like go to where the guy is and just go like meat him out there and like maybe maybe that’s bad but I really I liked it I’ve I I I get where you’re coming from Theo he is a

Really freaky athlete I’m a little bit concerned with like fit if that may like when I think about offensive lineman one thing that I keep going back to is I think about how all the best offensive line groups in the league just play are very cohesive it’s just like guys that play really

Well together and I feel like he’s a guy that could get he could be kind of an he almost feels like an individual because he is kind of don’t stop yeah saying you saying I’m fooled by the bag of him he’s a great athlete like I might be being fooled by his bag

Honestly that I don’t know that could just that just seems like it could be an issue and I’ve seen him like be a little over aggressive lunging too hard at times and I feel like he could be caught out of position and that could just hurt an

Offensive line group but is a really freaky athlete and like I guess this is one where like if I was a scout in a draft room and people were like you’re crazy I probably would be like okay but I I do really like him and I guess the other thing like if we’re

Talking about concerns is like he just doesn’t quite have the natural thickness and anchor and like bigness that font n or not that’s him fashu has yeah so that’s another issue with him but I do think that he’s just has a little bit more command of the position I don’t

Know maybe that’s maybe you just draft the the better freakier guy and the coaches give him that but I I enjoyed I enjoyed watching I don’t think it’s that crazy of a take I mean I had him at three so um I think he’s a fantastic mover uh like really really special in

The Run game the way that he can get out and get to the second level uh I I maybe maybe there are certain teams that he would fit better on uh Bladen like he’s better in zone I’d have to figure with somebody who can move like that I’ll probably value that uh more

Heavily but I I don’t think it’s crazy whatsoever and I think he’s pretty versatile I mean I I maybe maybe that that does take away from some of the like where would he fit he could play guard or Center if you need him to so it’s it’s I don’t think

Going to be a bad pick forever takes so maybe he’ll go a little bit lower but having him at two not that insane I don’t think this episode of stay hot is brought to you by the spring cleaning Champions over at manscape this season make sure to groom your carpets and the

Don’t think you could go really that wrong taking alignment in the first round I think I think we could see a ton of them go because it’s like grah Barton isn’t like faga like damn okay that’s this is what I’m like you none of you have faga in your top

Three I do not do you have him at three yeah because I have I have I have fosu at two like you m but I have faga three I think faga is like a really strong like a lot of play strength and that’s where I’m like that’s that’s to me I’m

Like if I want if I’m looking for an offensive tackle I want a guy that’s like if you get if you’re gonna get into his frame or if you I want a guy that like you can’t break his hands and like like he’s just he’s just he locks on to you and like

There’s no there’s no getting away and and to me that’s that’s [ __ ] all day fog has some some really nice power and he’s so good with his hands um he’s 330 lb or 334 PBS something like that so he’s got some beef to him um but everything you

Just described I think leam does way better like Lam’s power is different like leam is just pancake on pancake he’ll he’ll get on and his grip strength is about as good i’ as I’ve seen he’s bigger even than I like too and like B players are

Just generally a good bet yeah well not B offensive lineman recent years Leatherwood and large and yeah and Evan Neil yeah she’s yeah really bad hit rate recently but I don’t know I loved leam I thought his like out of his for a big guy like adjustments at

The second level seemed pretty easy for him like super like buttery smooth kick slide and like some decent redirect ability I thought I thought he was just a better athlete than faga a little bit and I think faga might need to kick inside to guard Lea might also be better

Just off at guard because any questions you have about agility as a guy that big would probably you know go away in the trenches and I do think he get he has the strength to match up with like defensive tackles and move people in the

Run game and stuff like that so leam has I think a lot of the same strengths as fog guy I’m just more sold on Lam I think that I think that he’s like the more special athlete and he’s just as smart like maybe even smarter like the

Way he plays the game what was his GPA man I don’t know what the GPA was the Wonderland L of 35 five inch arms he’s massive he’s even he’s probably bigger than Evan Neil is like in terms of like functional size Evan Neil is taller but Jesus I know that

Leam weighed in bigger and has I think a longer wingspan and bigger hands so like the guy is 342 35 and 1/8 inch arms and 11 inch hands is that a record 11inch hands I it can’t get too much bigger I have never SE I don’t know if I’ve ever

Seen 11inch hands in the NFL before NFL I’m sure it exists I’m sure it’s size record I don’t think that it’s the record at all but no it’s not okay probably oh God yeah someone had 11 yes it’s 11 11.75 inches shared by DeForest Buckner um gazer cheris and mo Cox G

That’s a name that just like stirred a very de did that like aggravate you Theo are you are you do I recognize that are you gonna be okay I don’t know but no I I I I don’t have Vaga but I I think leam is like the

Better version is he in your top five I don’t know I’m gonna decide right now what do you mean i’ I’ve been debating Mims are FL ah but who who is your guys so let let me go through this so I have Al uh fanu blam fashanu yes I have alt fashanu

Faga and then Matt who did you have H three who number four I think I’m the only one who said four well Fano and then I had I have fuga four okay and I I have lath four I I agree with you on lean’s play strength

It’s great too but I preferred faga just a tick yeah I I think leam maybe his anchor wasn’t as strong as you’d like it to be for somebody his size um at times maybe that’s me saying like this guy should just be completely Elite at it because he’s so big and it’s

Really not that bad it’s I don’t think it’s bad at all I I don’t think it’s as good as fashanu so it can almost be disappointing watching possibly possibly I was watching has the best anchor like it’s about as good as it can be I think coming out of college like it’s crazy

Leams is not like but I I don’t I wouldn’t put it as like a weakness at all I think that he’s pretty pretty damn Healy I’d put it more of an issue with faga yeah faga is definitely what made me have him a little bit lower he’s definitely a

Little bit top heavy it feels like he doesn’t have as strong of a of a base I know this is an unfair comp to make for players but I’m always looking for the Tristan Worf’s build where that guy has you know that guy is completely but he has huge huge

Legs uh but I didn’t I guess I didn’t think it was too much of a problem for him I don’t know it’s possible I need to go back and watch more but I I agree I thought I thought there was a there was a point with faga at the end of um the

Game against Washington and and really that game against Washington I thought is is was a little bit worrisome for his prospects of tackle in the first place because he got beat around the edge uh when he didn’t get a great kick slide out of the snap he didn’t like

Jump the snap or anything which maybe you just like get out of the break faster and then it won’t be a problem or get off the fall faster it won’t be a problem thinking wide receivers still yeah and also there was was like a game-winning Drive attempt by Oregon

State in that game and he was one-on-one with brillan trce and then I thought one time brillan tce crossed his face and beat him and then one time Trice brought a bull rush and I don’t think he got he got a little bit of pressure on the on

The bull rush oneon-one with faga so I thought man in a in a gotta havit situation at the end of this game everybody knows you’re G to pass you’re one-on-one with an NFL talent I thought faga had showed some cracks and I was like I’d just rather have late them I

Guess but maybe that sample size is like way too small but yeah I I have it is I have um Lam above above fla fair enough but also above lots of people so yeah and then at number five I have Mims but i’ I scared I shake to say it

Because agree I agree he yes he’s okay so many times but if if if Mims had never gotten hurt and he had kept doing what he was doing while he was playing he would be higher than five that guy is completely ridiculous I guess maybe it’s

Like how do you he’s very Boomer bust but it’s not because I I I watch him play and I’m like he’s such an insane Pro like he’s so far away but he’s so like naturally gifted it’s it’s because you just haven’t seen it you’re questioning the sample size I feel a lot

More comfortable hoping that the sample size is is right about his type of play and the level of dude he is than I do just like gambling on a guy who’s all tools and and no skill that’s not what Mims is to me yeah I think there’s one

Guy who’s very toolsy and not that like he’s not I think he’s way more complete than like Tyler gon out of Oklahoma who I watched and I thought he was he was like miles he was like miles away and I I I got the athleticism but I thought he

Was miles away and then the the BYU guy was like super fast and he had tools but you know he was kind of getting beat left and right too when I watched him or I was making negative notes when I watch Mims it looks pretty damn good I think

Sometimes when he’s run blocking he could focus too much on like if there’s a combo just pancaking the defensive tackle and then like no one will touch the linebacker I’m like okay you need to you need to climb buddy but outside of like those types of plays like I I saw a

Lot of good with him like he’s so huge but again he’s pretty pretty silky smooth getting out of that stance like moving really fluidly like again like making contact at the second level like I I almost liked his tape better than than fashanu as well or maybe even

Anybody like his is if if it was this for a long time he’d probably be OT like maybe one in a lock for the top 10 but we just haven’t seen it and then he gets hurt this year he comes back plays like two games and it’s Alabama and he gets

Hurt again he shows up comine and he pulls his hamstring or something like that definely a concern man he’s just like so big and like sometimes I think I think I think you might be talking to be having lantham over him and not I would be more of a proponent for lantham over

Faga but I but here’s but here’s the thing dude it’s like you do gotta play and being like not completing a full season at Georgia pretty much not putting you know not putting together starts in his whole career not putting together a bunch of starts and then

Getting hurt at the combine it’s like dude there’s just some guys where they can’t stay healthy and I’m not saying it’s his fault or like he’s doing anything wrong like the guy is what like six eight like 350 pounds whatever the hell just something like totally ridiculous and then you’re you’re moving

All that weight in an incredible speed like he’s and he’s getting lower body injuries I think his foot has been bothering him right yeah man I I don’t know maybe it’s not that I I I’m questioning like what I what I you see when you watch him it’s just how heavily do you

Wait that injury proness and the answer is probably pretty damn heavy yeah I I think you don’t want to you don’t want to leave the first round with nothing and I think that when you draft Mims it’s like you’re you’re like you need to be really really clear on

The medical really taking a risk exactly and there’s so many other tackles this year it just feels like man you don’t like Lem you don’t like I don’t know whoever I’m still putting in my top five though because I think the ceiling is

Ridiculous um it is I I would I I I put fanu at five and it’s liter I’m just like I agree with you on the whole like Mims could be like that special and I’d probably prefer him as like a player but you can’t discount that injury it’s if

You’re just stacked and you needed like I don’t know I I think that it just depends on where you feel like you think your roster is and how big of a swing you can afford to take in the first round so so here’s my if if where do you

Think he would end up getting drafted I could see maybe a team like the Packers taking him honestly just because Green Bay has 11 picks and like that’s like a crazy amount right so maybe they think we could still have a good dra we could

Take a big big swing in the first and then you know you have all these other picks to get if if you have like a [ __ ] ton of draft picks and you think like okay let’s let’s swing in the first round and then if we miss there we have

All these other chances so I guess I don’t know the draft capital for every team off the top of my head but if I was a team with just like a like like more picks than anybody else in the draft like there’s only maybe we have the most

Maybe we’re we’re top seven in draft picks I I think that’s where like surely one of those seven teams if you if you’re trying to like I would like to take M if you’re if you struggling at offensive line I don’t know I don’t think any team with a lot of picks I

Would like San Francisco I wouldn’t want taking him because I feel like they need a guy to pan out I would want San Francisco at 31 and the rest of the roster is that good and I don’t know I I I would I would take

Mims if I was San Francisco at 31 I’d run that card up I mean they they are they are about as that is not the team to be drafting an injury that is not the team to be drafting an injury prone tackle man you’re already here

Man maybe not I I don’t know I like they need a right tackle so if they took Mims I I wouldn’t be like yeah well that’ll never where he’ll get hurt it it just it’s it’s tough to know the value on guys like that but yeah I I think

That like once once the blue chippers are off the board um the is he’s probably going to end up like 20th or so is range on my big board I would say so I I think a first round pick is is okay on Mims but it’s

Definitely a big swing and I think the other guys are a bit safer I think faga is safer as well honestly but faga just to me is some of the athletic concerns that make the safeness of him slot in below the ceiling of M but I can see it fog is

Like probably not that far like I’m not crazy low on fog again I think tons of guys could go in the the first round and I’m not and grah Barton is nice too and you know what if it if if we’re looking at like a good class of a position it’s

Honestly I it’s probably more fun to just have like an erratic list per and you’re I feel like you’re not even that like ridiculous I don’t know I I don’t I think all of these guys are going to go crazy high like I I don’t think leam is

Going to slide to the second round or anything like that I think that he might be G the top I mean I’ve seen Mel Kyper and zerin mock him top 10 I don’t think I I wouldn’t take him like a five or six or anything like that but I could see I

Could definitely see more tackles going in the first than receivers it’s just a really good draft I think I think the first round of this draft is just really strong yeah good year for quarter quarterback really wide receiver is good corner is good tackle is good like tackle is good

Byron there’s two good first round defensive tackles I think after that there’s a top tier tight end I honestly there isn’t maybe a top top tier Edge rusher but I really like a lot of the higher up guys uh yeah they’re certainly not like you’re reaching on like a third round

Value because the year is B with with verse or anything like that maybe he’s not a top 10 player but yeah I agree I I do I do think that this is a very nice draft Yeah wonderful if your team comes out with a bad player it’s their fault

Their fault and one of and JJ McCarthy is gonna go number four overall they’re saying yeah yeah that’s they I’m yeah I was I was something along the lines of yes hearing the first seven pi will all be quarterbacks hearing the first oh is creep crept into the samman

Is creeping up boards and he’s going seventh overall buddy we’re actually GNA see five quarterbacks taken in the top 10 um yeah rler making a run at it pro might yeah that would be joke that’d be real life though he will be Carolina Panther I

Fear um at at 33 no uh all of taking a quarterback 10th overall when you could just sign Felipe Franks for free hold on you might be C bad process did he transition to tight end though or like he could come back or t him hill TM Hill oh my God

He’s way better than that ball hog all these team is trying to draft quarterbacks high and sign all these guys to Big contracts when they could have the m just have Felipe Frank Frank R room for next to nothing I don’t know why they would all I’m saying is you all

These teams are talking about drafting a quarterback when Matt caral Matt caral Felipe Franks and Desmond Ritter could be could be your that would be us to make your decision sign Michael Thomas trade for JK Dobbins that was what would the what would the all stay hot record be pretty much all

The the all stay hot team would be pretty darn bad dude cuz they’re [Laughter] all Odell Michael Thomas and like Rashad baitman as your wide receivers uh we have Rashi rice there too Rashid rice can make the cut for only you not Treadwell Treadwell and then our quarterbacks are

Terrible throwing to Felipe Franks at tight end this moves the needle Theo I was enjoying the the little lights behind you but um they’re off now so makes me sading in my background yes yeah I was enjoying it it was a little fun time listener at home they’re

Communicating oh man well that pretty much wraps things up for this episode of stay hot make sure yall tune in for uh another draft prospect prospect live stream on Tuesday and then of course we’ll have uh another episode later this week free agency opens so I imagine

We’ll be talking about that should be an exciting exciting time but thank you all so much for tuning in and until next time we will catch you on the flippity [Applause] Flop

  1. Players getting better as the sport evolves depends on the sport and is not a linear thing. The level of talent in football (soccer) is not remotely close to the early to mid 2000s or the mid 2010s.

  2. Theo: “Blaiden what point are you trying to make”
    Blaiden: “Wellll… I don’t know… I’m just sayin man”
    Every episode

  3. Lebron unionizing the plumbers to defeat the upper middle class is just yet another achievement to add to the 🐐 case

  4. Theo's point about Fuaga losing to Trice on a game winning drive is fair, but Latham got manhandled on the final play in the CFB semi finals and was basically the reason that play got blown up. So I don't think you can use it as a Latham>Fuaga argument.

  5. theos right from an owner perspective on baker but that’s not how owners operate and bowles and the gm would be fired 100% if they let baker walk signed darnold and won 4 games

  6. The reason you sign Baker is the same reason any nfl team does anything. It’s to sell tickets. Bottoming out may result in a better roster in 3-5 years, but it’s not a guarantee. In those 3-5 years you’re making less money because your team sucks. Less tickets being sold, less jerseys being sold, etc.
