Saso for birdie at 16 66 how about the Canadian MTO LeBlanc at 9 finish with three birdies in a row here the only bogey free card of the morning wave today rear low with 64 the defending Champion Ron Yen for birdie at six clearly loves this golf course not

Feeling the pressure off to a hot start in her title defense a year ago Lexi Thompson you can’t see the ball yet this is at seven reachable par five easily reachable easiest hole on the golf course fourth eagle of the day from the fields from 62 yds trying to keep it

Right of the flag it should run down towards the hole from there it’s looking pretty good indeed how about this go ahead yes Charlie she’s going to love it I don’t work Tom’s home Club here Hannah darling the Scott plays at University of South Carolina she played here a month ago in

The theres hessen Regional challenge here is Lil AV Vu at the eighth now yeah putting back down the hill but with the wind off the left this screen is very exposed Lily is a winner of that theres hessen challenge that was back in 2018 when she was

Dominant number one ranked damer it’s a great event Rose Zang the winner last year we’re looking at Lynn Grant here aimed way left yeah she’s not had the Speed dialed in 100% so far she been quite aggressive with the putting and there’s another example of that struggle

So mightily now back to the former using Lexi in ly Grant the comebacker for par and back at the ninth for Rose from dead center in the Fairway that’s a a full wedge 127 yards to the hole Hannah darling at the 10th this hole playing straight into the wind today as well

Good Target that chair Behind the Green right where Hannah hit it top Tracer technology presented by Progressive insurance for Pilla lindberg’s t-shot at the downhill I don’t think does it justice par 313th speaking of Augusta National Pilla played there a couple weeks ago 25 yds downhill near the top of the

Leaderboard year ago Lyn Grant wasn’t even out here on the LPGA Tour yet she’s at nine that was a wedge from 136 playing safe right of the flag you cannot miss this one left because A Little Fall Away feel like you know the little nuances of a golf course rose has

A nine iron in her hand I think she’s going to have to step on this one uphill into the wind judged it absolutely perfectly plays about 8 to nine yards uphill look at the wind whipping behind this 13th T it’s very exposed 25 yds down and a player Morgan metro

Who comes from Evian golf club which has its share of ups and downs excitement already at this part three today Daniel Kang early this morning with a hole in one it is playing as one of the toughest holes out on this golf course the toughest hole right now this is a sight

For sore eyes lazette Salis her home course back on the LPGA Tour for the first time since the US Women’s open at Pebble and it’s like she never left here’s the par putt for Lexi that didn’t look like a very committed stroke k no and and just an example of how this

Hole they just had wedges or nine irons in and it it’s not a sure thing to make birdie or par two Bogies already in this group they all look like they were having a good time and she’s having a good time there making birdie okay Morgan metro for birdie at

13 keep an eye on how the scores at the 10th Charlie Hull second yes this is the first uphill into the wind shot of the round she’s already hold a wedge today this from 98 oh nearly again this is Lyn Grant at the 10th all right so Lynn from

Sweden moves from 25th to 12th let’s head up to the 12th and check in with Maria FY another uphill second shot here and another Beauty for Maria up one to 12 Maria FY for birdie only for the SE that would have been for the sth3 of the day on this 12th hole

One of the second hardest hole on the golf course really tough stretch here trying to musle a six IR there check out the hang time here on this t- Sarah Kemp it’s just such a cool looking hole when you stand up there you don’t really

Know what to tell the ball sit go it’s really tough to judge distance but what a shot by Sarah that is on the hardest hole of the day and you have to fight the urge to resist or fight the slope you just have to play it and that was a

Really smooth swing right there should stay y you can see there with Sarah’s hoodie on a windy day like today I would want that tucked in I tucked that in the back oh she tucks that one right in the middle for birdie let’s see if she can bounce back

After a three putt bogey at the last hole all right here is Ronnie Yin for par oh okay moring anything under par maybe in the afternoon how exposed to the wind is this tea today okay uh pretty pretty exposed but the wind has died down a little bit that was a smooth for

Hybrid and she’s loving it same Club she hit back on the 11th so um you know I’m off for Speedy golf that might didn’t needed to touch more speed just a little bit just a little bit one of the sponsor invites this week is former USC Trojan Gabby thenen and a

Good start for Gabby oh getting better gab be then hit that four hybrid to just inside 20 ft see if she can finish it off and this wiggle is a little right K we’ve seen some other players misread this putt well when you first look at it it

Feels like it should go a little right to left I guess it flattens out by the hole yeah and I would think for her to leave that short that would be just a little bit unsure of the read itself 72nd hole birdie to win at balst roll

The kpg women’s PGA you know it’s so much about the venue with the majors and balol everybody knows and they know how tough a golf course it was was and she never missed a green on the on the weekend not think about what this putt

Means just just hit it the way you want to hit it and good stroke for the psyche there good confident stroke I know still H you can kind of see it in her body language a little bit that looks like a pretty good line yeah that’s a really good

Shot she’s already hold R today that was a wedge from UH 60 yard oh she was incredible our entire team was so much fun uh we had a lot of fun despite the loss this is on a really good line speaking of who was incredible Ally

You were incredible H wasn’t loss by the way bring so much energy to the team room you’re sweet Morgan P Malo 20 rookies in the field Morgan and we had such a wonderful night last night with the rookies she’s not an ordinary rookie she’s proven winner really good approach shot

Here wow that just had she hit that really hard a pill at the par five 14th the second for rosang she’s going to use her Freewood and give it a rip 216 uphill but with the wind big climb up there pretty good sneak past those trees on the right side that

Overhang by the 13th green what’s this one going to do yeah this is going to be pretty slow up the hill she does have the wind pushing the ball helping her get to the hole ah it was a really good really good attempt how do you dial in the pace when you get

To a golf course yeah I I have a couple of speed drills that I like to do um most of it’s actually just on the golf course you know hitting a lot of putts where I could potentially you know have have putts from just kind of gauging

Uphill downhill um getting a real good feel for that and’s going to go ahead and make three Three’s a good score this is a tough hole absolutely nine three par 3es and two par fivs and here is the other five Morgan metro with her third she hasn’t made a cut yet this

Year so wanted to get off to a good start here today what a beauty that one was this she just displayed this hole poorly after a good drive terrible second shot and then dumped her third Into the Bunker and that’s a that’s a hardworking scrambling bar there fighting hard she’s

Been one under back to even one under back to even this to get the one under once again yeah she’s a grinder she’s a very patient player very patient golfer and you know she’s admitted to really only being maybe at about 50% of her energy level and considering she’s had such a

Break she hasn’t played it’ll be interesting to see she tries to fly this up there instead maybe front edge 20 yard short of the two players that she’s playing with that’s a good touch that from Lilia just almost knock it in for a zero putt four that’s not too bad

Way to do it either yeah so she was considerably shorter of the tea and that’s down to the back she would usually be not necessarily up with Ling Grant but closer to Charlie and then and of course that meant you had to play as a three shot hole yeah which I think

Anytime you have a putt of that length you like to Cozy it up but um certainly got a good chance to here for four so going to be a three putt PA for Lynn yeah she’s going to be a little disappointed but up to the 18th and the

First group out in the afternoon wave includes Japan’s Mal saigo and she’s got one of the best rounds of the afternoon going I know one under may not grab your attention but it’s a good score isn’t it facing a really difficult shot this this whole location in the front right part

Is daunting and she’s got to take it over the edge of the bunker off a tight lie looks like a little bit of a bare lie where you can see a lot of balls have ended up down in that collection area all in all reasonable effort there

K stop me if you’ve heard this one uphill approach this is at 15 in rows yeah it’s maybe a little long and it should flatten out how about that wow she made that look easy and it was not a little bit higher than it was when we started The Telecast Rose trying to

Go back to back this is an even harder putt really from the high part of the green we had a great angle there okay you could see it break right and then back left and then almost back right again at the very end and right now it’s just not she

Doesn’t have control over the game or the golf course she’s fighting hard though to just treading water and trying to keep her head above the water M saigo 43rd in the world rookie season but multiple wins on the Japan LPGA Tour yeah it’s an okay lie

And halfway towards the hole there’s a a ridge that just is all downhill to the hole so it’s all about speed here Morgan how we saw a similar line to where Rose let’s check in with L gred 15 yeah missed one a little bit longer on the previous green but has been solid

From this length all day and she’s given us she left to a few of those and over at the 17th we find Hannah darling from the other USC University of South Carolina that will be for a third straight birdie for Rose back to the 13th and Gabby ruffles for

Birdie right you mentioned the adversity she qualified for Q Series in 2022 taking uh some classes and finishing a paper Han a darling same situation at University of South Carolina and how about F two at the 17 but the flag is moving Le set up with her body to about

The left edge of the green oh this is looking really good she carved that one in there Morgan just like you said it calls for of a little fade and she did that she stared them down and got it done and became a major champ later in the year

Herself tough day for Maria FY this was just a moment ago see just how much break she’s playing good foot plus there yeah I I don’t mind that Miss though Morgan at least it uh it had some sort of chance to go in you miss them

Low they never do that’s like a good stroke that she made MH playing this dead straight where her line is set on that ball this would be a heck of a par yeah that’s proof right there Morgan why she’s a multi-dimensional player yeah that’s just fabulous I mean as if

On Q we said she never makes any mistakes you can see the flag stick blowing left to right with a bit of hurt wind so she can go with this club and go right at it holding license now Tom G Shin just a moment ago okay that’ll turn the day around in

A hurry Eagle for GA but the breeze helping a little bit she’s pulled out a NR and should just be a good normal one for her yeah something like that’ll do okay did it go there you go it is it’s in oh my goodness like a really good roll

Surprised that didn’t catch that top Edge and fall in all right your move Rose at 18 oh that was a gap wedge she was given it a chance to go in would be the best round of the afternoon Lyn Grant at 17 yeah should have learned something from Charlie Hull I think it

Needs a bit more Pace on that line Lynn did play here great approach and a good finish just has to watch keep the blade open no what a shot look like a oh look like a big bounce from down here we can’t see the bottom

Of the flag so it’s coming back kind of listening 10 ft I just really frustrated walking off that 17th green she’s battled away with this back problem today and then she throws Two Shots away at 17 you could just you know you could sense how frustrated she was with

That she can’t see where that’s finished she’s just listening yeah listening for the crowd scoot back to the par five 16th we find Japan’s Yuna nishimura second year out here on the LPGA Tour not everybody wins their first start as a rookie just keeping your card

Morgan as a first year player like youa did is something to celebrate isn’t it you know there’s so much that goes into being a rookie this would be a good one to end on with the putting struggle she’s had today oh

  1. Such condensed highlights you don't get to see any of the first session players!
*Lousy broadcast coverage, minimal resources dedicated to it, obviously the 'B-Team' on the cameras.
*They spent about 15 minutes of the 3-hour broadcast interviewing Se-ri Pak. A less brainless producer would have kept such an extended interview out of the limited braodcast time allocated to live coverage of the event.

  2. If your name is Hannah Darling then would you like to be addressed as Hannah or Darling? Tough choice. Thanks Dad.

  3. Where is the coverage of the players in the lead? it just seems like random coverage. no sense of whats going on amongst the leaders.
