To improve for this New York Jets so a big time get for the offensive line for the New York Jets on the interior coming from Baltimore former Raven former uh Clemson Tiger and I feel like this is a guy that’s really going to help out this New York Jet’s offensive line now the

Next player Javon kinlaw baby probably one of my favorite signings because you’re talking about a former first round pick 14th overall Robert Salah was part of the 49ers regime when they drafted him in San Francisco and his biggest issue was injuries he finally had a full season of Health last year

For the 49ers playing every single game and this is a guy who if you ask 49ers fans he is scratching the surface of his potential and if anything if you guys know anything about the New York Jets what they do actually well is develop and let their defensive line get after

It right their defensive linemen go always to the Jets and they really get after it and with Robert solz scheme with Jeff and white codon of the defensive line coach I’m expecting Javon Holland to absolutely wreak the benefits of a one-year Deal Pro it year to try to

Get paid in next year’s free agency every single 49ers fan is saying that the Jets got an absolute steal in Javon kinla they all wanted him to come back because they felt like he was on the verge of his breakout his first three years in the NFL he had a lot of injury

Concerns last year actually had a full bill of health this is an absolute Menace a former first round pick getting onto the Jets defensive line so that is a big time get the New York Jets had some holes on the defensive tackle spot to fill in because we had a lot of

Pending free agents so we had to bring him in and then Tyrod Taylor we got a backup quarterback baby absolutely love this man I mean if there’s anything about the New York Jets last year we all know that the backup quarterback position was not handled properly you

Can say that Tyrod Taylor is like I mean I don’t want to sound delusional but objectively I always looked at Tyrod Taylor as just one of the best veteran backup quarterbacks you can have reliable 2828 as a career starter this is a guy who’s 34 years old and he’s

Someone that can win you games if you have to start so this is an absolute Big Time move for the New York Jets to get in a veteran like Tyrod Taylor to back up Aaron Rogers for insurance and I absolutely love this I love everything

About it I’ve been a big fan of Tyrod Taylor even when he was in Buffalo with the Giants last year I mean there’s so many different teams that Tyrod Taylor went with I mean if you’re a Jets fan how can you not be happy with Tyrod Taylor we actually got insurance behind

Aaron roders and then finally we made our last move today not anything splashy um but we got a defensive tackle from Arizona who is going to be our run stopper so we got a big time uh more moves to come I think the Jets are going

To be active in the trade market as well for a wide receiver so look out for that and this is just the beginning baby can’t wait to see what’s next so I’ll tell you what I’m a big fan of Tyrod myself and so I think that that that is

Actually going to be a pretty solid piece for you going into it now here’s the question here’s a hypothetical because I want this audience to really grasp the importance of a quality backup quarterback if Tyrod was your backup this past year could you have seen the Jets

Scraping away with a couple of more wins and if so how many yeah I mean the only thing about Tyro that’s not good is his health I feel like his injuries has kind of caught up to him a little bit so that’s the one thing we have to say but

If he was healthy for the Jets last year I definitely think they could win one more games because let’s not forget that we didn’t need a quarterback to be Godlike in order to win football games we just need him to be average if not below average protect the ball score

Like 20 points and we’re winning games if you look at what the Jets did last year so the haters will say it’ll make no impact but it definitely will Zack Wilson was playing bottom Barrel quarterback play same with Tim Bole I mean it was just an absolute atrocious

Mess that we watched last year so it was smart for the Jets to heavily invest in the backup quarterback spot they it was not cheap they paid Tyrod a significant amount of money for a backup quarterback and they had to do that and to make sure that this quarterback position is just

As deep as any other position on the roster Mr TD finstock out of all the moves that the Jets have made so far in free agency has this moved the needle for them whatsoever does this make you a bit more concerned about the boys over in New York have they surpassed six wins

Like you have been predicting on a regular basis yeah they probably moved up to about seven wins you know maybe six and a half with a tie uh this doesn’t move the needle much at all um they do bring in some key pieces though I do like some of the moves that they

Made Richie kind of um gave you all the breakdowns of it um I will say this at the end of the day I’m still sold on the fact that this team is going to start and finish how Aaron Rogers take him you know Tyrod Taylor being a backup is

Always a good piece he’s not a super bowl piece but it does keep you afloat just in case there is an injury at the quarterback position that’s temporary okay but they still aren’t a team that can sustain um with a backup quarterback that has to finish the season okay but

You know I’m I’m not going to lie I’m not going to front you know um solid moves by the Jets good moves helping them be a more solidified team I still need think they need to you know really make a real Splash and go get a top

Receiver and and lock in that offense um from top to bottom and then you know there will be a little fear that sets in but until then you know they make you little chess pieces but um I still don’t think that it’s going to take them over

The top as far as like a AFC Championship game or better uh but they are making strides to make that team better overall now Richie you teased that a big move what big move is that man what are you sniffing what’s on the horizon what

York Jets want Devonte Adams there’s no secret Aaron Rogers wants Devonte Adams but the big thing is will the Raiders actually want to give up on him that’s really what it comes down to so the Jets are going to be relentless they’re going to keep calling the Raiders I expect

Them to be aggressive for T Higgins as well so that’s really what I’m thinking about I think that the Jets are making a going to be aggressive for a splash wide receiver they’ve been patient they’re not in on Calvin Ridley we saw that the Patriots and the Jaguars are the two

Teams that are going after Calvin Ridley so it seems like the Jets are pivoting more towards a trade for a wide receiver rather than a free agent signing there’s other guys that I think that are linked to the Jets as well uh Tyler Boyd Odell Beckham Jr those two guys would

Definitely help out this Jets team for sure but I think the Jets are going big and they really want to bring in another wide receiver um and then we talked about this I think Friday or yesterday I definitely expect him to bring in David bakari I don’t know if you saw on

Twitter right when he got released he posted a picture with him and Aron Rogers the new jet John Simpson who we just signed a left guard he re he retweeted it so I think it’s just inevitable that David baktiar is a jet um but at the end of the day I think the

Big thing is the Jets are going to go after a guy like Devonte Adams still T Higgins maybe a Brenan auk they’re going to trade for their wide receiver that’s my bold prediction and one last thing there’s a lot of Buzz right now so the Jets are at the Oregon pro day and

They’re they have coaches with B Knicks there’s a lot of Rumblings about the Jets loving B Knicks I have no idea what that means I do not know if they’re actually going to draft him I don’t think they will but that’s just something I had to just sprinkle on

There because there’s a lot of Buzz around that because I don’t really know how the Jets would go into the season with Aaron Rogers Tyrod Taylor and Bo Nicks as the three quarterbacks but hey I’m not seeing it happening but I definitely wanted to uh bring that up

Because I knew you probably like that Bo Nicks 10th overall to the Jets confirmed now does this change your mock drafts at all based off of any of these free agency signings a lot of teams have signed players in free agency where now a lot of us are going back to these mock

Draft boards and we’re just like uh well looks like for example we’re not going to get a tight end after all or they’re not going to be going after a wide receiver in the first after all has this changed your thought on how the Jets are

Going to approach the draft based off of the moves th far I do not I think it makes it more clear of where we wanted to go in the first place they still need they have not signed an offensive tackle yet and my my assumption is we’re going

To sign a guy like Tyron Smith from the Cowboys as a left tackle or David bakari as our left tackle and then we still need a right tackle and this first round is Rich with right tackles so I think that the Jets are still going tackle um

Unless I see them sign two tackles out of nowhere I do not see them going anything other than an offensive tackle like a faga or JC or someone like that I think fashanu is still there but Joe Al of course all the tackle depth I think that my philosophy with the Jets heading

Into free agency was get a tackle as of right now they have not gone crazy in the offensive line Market they just brought in one guy and John Simpson who is an interior guy so until I get to see a full stacked up loaded offensive line

Heading into the draft I’m going to say the Jets got a draft one but if they don’t right say the Jets signed two offensive tackles all of a sudden now we have two brand new starters that I’ll start pounding the table for maybe a little splash maybe we get romad dun

Maybe we get Brock Bowers maybe we go a playmaker at number 10 but as of right now I’m sitting here Dan to answer your question one last time I still have the Jets taking an offensive tackle until I get to see on paper there’s five solid starters and there’s some depth behind

This offensive line they got to get a tackle at number 10 beautiful beautiful well ladies and gentlemen we’re moving on because there are several other teams that our favorite hosts enjoy to watch all right and it is the Buffalo Bills it’s it hasn’t been a sexy free agency

Saw Brandon Bean making moves after dark and in case you’ve been following this show the Huddle for a while or you’ve been following me for quite some sometime I said going into it this free agency I am a happy happy man if the Buffalo Bills are able to bring back

Dayquon Jones and are able to bring back AJ EP andessa and then hopefully get a solid safety right I’m still targeting Jeremy chin I am refreshing Twitter more than anybody should to see once that news does break but so far two out of the three moves I wanted to see be made

Have been made the Buffalo Bills with all the recent moves are now $1 million over the cap once again however we still have about 24 hours to get over the Josh Allen restructure was absolutely necessary going into it we could still extend Taran Johnson and we could also

Restructure Ed Oliver to create close to around $10 million in cap spending that hopefully will be able to bring in a solid safety but it’s all about the draft that’s all it’s ever been about for Buffalo building from the youth at the end of the day so we’re super

Really seen a move yet that I’m like oh my God the bills just got better though that’s my honest take I mean I think that move is coming potentially but they’re they had to shake away a lot of different uh shake away a lot of cap in order to be able to

Do that in the first place yeah like I said bargain Ben TD talk here’s the deal um something’s coming Josh Allen just restructured his contract you know so he just freed up 16 plus million dollars in salary cap um so something is coming you know they got to

Get better somehow uh but it’s still the bills the bills are the Bills their window closed last year and now they’re continuing to try to crack the window but it’s closed it’s closed pretty much so at the end of the day unless they go through a real re

Set they’re they’re going to continue to be in purgatory now remember ladies and gentlemen they’re on their way downhill okay they’re on their on their way downhill if you look at it they barely escaped last season look at how they started then they had a week schedule

And then um you know Josh Allen pulled him through with some wins at the end of the season this year man they got they might be fighting to get nine wins at the end of the day and they could very well end up third in FC East um I look

At what the Jets are doing I feel like they’ve surpassed the bills um the Dolphins are already surpassed them if they didn’t deal with the injuries um but this is the year right here where I believe Buffalo’s gonna make their last shot at it then they’re gonna blow it

All up because they’re not making any commodity moves they’re not making any solid moves to make the roster better right now and people need to understand it’s not because they’re sitting on their hands they can’t they can’t they’ll try to make one nice little splash to make everybody happy and they

Will but that window I believe might just be closing so um good luck with that Buffalo Bills fans um yeah you know you had your chance and it’s over so what’s your definition of a window my friend a window is a legitimate shot to win a Super Bowl okay that’s your window

You know right now you’re you’re you’re you’re you have a screen on on the window now where legitimate change to make the playoffs so you’re going to turn into the Seattle Seahawks after Russell Wilson got paid you know that type of the Dallas Cowboys first round

Exits every year that type of stuff at best so here’s the deal I think a perfect example of the 2023 season going into the playoffs was the Kansas City Chiefs bums in the regular season but then when they got in the playoffs an absolute heater because there’s two different seasons there’s the regular

Edge rusher outside linebacker and we brought in jnu Smith at tight end I love the jnu Smith move if we can open up our offense and change it up a little because certain teams have our number like Buffalo the Ravens and all of that but this year I’m expecting a different

Offense um same offense as before but now we’re going to incorporate more that gets the tight end involved that should make the team better okay in regards to our two linebackers I feel like we upgraded from last year slightly barely and I need us to upgrade massively at

The linebacker position but we did but we did bring in players that are better suited for what they do well the only problem is none of the players we brought in do both well as far as run stopping and P and um coverage it’s one or the other we brought a really good

Coverage linebacker in we know he’s going to be on the field in third down but he can’t run um he can’t um Run Stop to save his life we bought a really good pass rushing um linebacker and run stopping linebacker in but he can’t cover to save his life so it’s obvious G

To be situational football at the linebacker position and if we play it that way it’s an upgrade I’m not going to gloat like it’s oh we got way better better barely but it is better okay on the o line is my biggest disappointment so far because we brought in a center or

Left he played center last year he played left guard the three years before that an undrafted player from ten from the Tennessee Titans Aaron Brewer and I’m not happy about the move although he is phenomenal in run blocking phenomenal and when I say phenomenal legitimately phenomenal he gets out there in the open

Field field he engages with the um Defender at the second level and he’s a train record okay uh but the problem is his pass blocking is some of the worst in the NFL whether he’s at Center or left guard okay so I don’t like that because we didn’t have that much of an

Issue run blocking last year and I felt like whatever they put together whatever we’re doing from a run blocking standpoint with the outside Zone and things of that nature we’re looking good doing it but the past blocking is where I wanted us to improve and we got worse

Years you want to be able to maintain cap flexibility throughout this rebuild you want to be able to be aggressive potentially next year and the year after that because if they spent all their cap this year and they were super aggressive then all of a sudden next year after

Potentially maybe they look good and they’re like a a piece or two away then they’re strapped for cash you don’t want to be that so the the teams that are smart that knows how to rebuild properly are the ones that are patient and that’s what I think the Patriots are doing and

And we’re gonna have to hit the reset again two years from now so I I don’t see them I see them spending money they’re going to make some more moves and some solid moves to finish the roster but I could very well see them saving 20 20 25 million to carry over
