Al is not only the founder of Almigos Golf but he’s also the son of the original Mr.59 PGA Tour Professional Mr.Al Geiberger. His knowledge of the game is impressive and he’s a club fitting that I look forward to every year.

In this fitting notice how I spend a lot of time ensuring the build is perfect before moving out to The Kingdom practice tee. This is a similar process that we would work to on tour with the likes of Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa.

Take note of how I handle this fitting. I appreciate we’re making content in addition to finding a great driver but with a player of this level you don’t want to miss any of the details. By leaving no stone unturned your chances of success when you’re on the fitting tee are significantly greater.

At The Kingdom we settle into the Micah Morris side to avoid balls leaving the landing zone as Al has serious pace and opens up at 176mph Ball Speed. We investigate some other settings and talk golf ball but the results are clear that we’ve found a solid option to take on his gamer.

Let’s get the spec on this and get this driver cooking and get you hitting some balls at the king you got the stealth yeah so I I think that we had them both super close we don’t do if you do a flashback in this video

Give him the real conversation ever since sounds like one my conversations we made stealth and stealth too both heavier when we both made them heavier the shot cone like dispersion off the te got way Tighter and I had way more control over the driver than I’d ever

Had because so it sounds like swing weight was off yeah swing weight through every single Club when I first brought our stuff here you we like laughed cuz you said it was so bad you changed your grip uh yeah cuz I had to get a new one

I like the original 360 is not my style yeah what yeah cuz I didn’t have any B you didn’t weigh that did you no no how do I remember out of all these tour players how do I remember what grip you are he that’s impressive no one uses

Tour velvet right only like me and you 90% of them ke keeps me up at night Ian pter to Velvet he never changes all right so always remember when you’re doing this stuff for anyone out there who has is actually interested in the video and not the banter which I love

Both always remember where it came off from Quick story Thomas Ain South African player got to top 50 in the world I remember doing this and having no clue and he had a grip like this that didn’t have a marking reference on it oh yeah we had to do the whole fitting

Again like for his gamer cuz he didn’t know what his setting was and you didn’t line this up he’ already moved it no clue all right so we had 196.50 and then head weight on that stealth is 1977. 5 so right there we’re at D5 and

A2 so that one would be D5 which seems more where you are more remember that’s more your flavor let’s take the club you’ve been practicing with all right it’s got a bit of dirt on it but you changed the whole set of grips I did I

Was in a pinch three and a half what was it for I don’t even know Winter Classic change all the damn grips look at this oh no the long irons I change the ones I practice a lot with so half a swing weight difference in the grip weights

You hear that I practice a lot I don’t hit the long so should probably give you some grips to go away with 196.50 so we’re going to go off 196.50 because you prefer that knowing you probably just you don’t want a new shaft or you do

Better but I I mean no no no no I wouldn’t want to change this no unless you have a recommendation but I would just make you a brand new one oh but knowing you usually you don’t like to change stuff right no I’m I’m happy

Either way so as long as I have that shaft and you want to throw a new one on there that’s F I can do that but unless you have other thing where you a new shaft new out new magic that you think we could uh maybe down the track but I

Like it yeah I do too yeah it’s more your fitting and this is a great thing again for any golf uh equipment guys out there that are looking to do this your fitting and the fact that you bought two heads fantastic tell he’s getting switched onto this is kind of done here

Like if I can get this right then I can get the right head and you’ve you’ve seen me do this on here before with your equipment but the fact that you’ve bought two heads I mean if any good players out there are looking to get a fitting then bring the stuff you like

It down you got it one click towards lower which gives you the face angle a little open so I wouldn’t even mind what are we at one lower I think I had that one when I was playing it I might have had that one to lower so I bet that head

Measures more Loft possibly yeah and I just I was tweaking with a couple things recently just because I was switching back to stealth because I was stealth two for this whole year plus and then when I got a crack right when I got a little crack I switched back to this and

It was just a touch different so I kind of was messing with some stuff just to get it so what I’m going to do knowing that you’ve turned up with the graphics slightly offline you’ve changed your grips all fine by the way what I’m going

To do is just get you a head that is in the ball part cuz that new qi1 LS which is the head you’re going to be in it doesn’t quite spin the same as these ones it spins a little less if anything which I think you’re going to like yeah

Sits a little flatter too definitely which I don’t think you’ll hate cuz you prefer the m to the I you know I that’s that’s music’s my ears here exactly so then if I go on this and just take it off the top this this stealth too

Probably why you like it a little more than the other one is a hair flatter and then if I take the Loft on it and you said you were playing it it’s a little less Loft no it’s similar they’re both really close yeah really I think I might

Have been I might have been two clicks down with that and I was messing with two clicks one click and I just ended up with one click but I think they’re both the same really really close yeah I didn’t feel too much of a difference yeah let’s cherry pick a nice drive

Ahead so first off just check them in the right bins okay that’s the do model okay okay this is the one I’m just checking there’s no funky prototypes here before we start committing to this so this is 9.1 58.5 face angle 8 okay close yeah shell weight 198 so we know

I’ve got to come down a little bit so just hold that a sec that’s close let’s see if we I’d like flatter with a bit more Loft maybe bit more Loft so we can open it open it yeah and I’d like flatter so 589 that’s a no 58 9.4 chance

So let’s do that and that that’s 585 585 what’s this one 585 n so that one’s 9.4 so it’s better 9.6 me we’re going to just put it down and make sure that it’s sits how we want it but that’s a good start point right I think so there you

Are 58.1 9.6 so take that and the loft is a little bit more on that stealth two than the stealth one and you said you played it in a different setting which we can play around with bring those two over here so basically what I’m doing

Here and we used to do this all the time I’ve done this from Germany to Flippin Connecticut I’m looking for your feedback on face angle all right I’ll put you on this because that will be the the Contours of the ground of the sole

Will get moved so if I put you on here it’s not going to impact it as much I gave you this one first it’s it looks really flush the only thing is it looks like it’s wanting to okay so that’s out then what that’s out it looks like it

Removing these because they’re too close to the Leading Edge so a player will always look at the Leading Edge and you notice the Leading Edge on qi1 is different correct yeah H that looks a little better want to kind of sit a touch more flush cuz I

Don’t I’m not going to always so it on here cuz if you hover it you can kind of have it sit how you want it to technically sit that’s why if I measure it up on this which is dead flat compared yeah this this one looks

Better than that how many times over the last two weeks Hondo have we heard hover the golf club me and q i wasn’t a hoverer everyone who can hit a Go full seems to be a hoverer this day and age well even and you can do this with

Driver and putting if you want to move more fluidly more rapidly and gain more speed or softness with Putter and you hover the sole it’s a lot easier to move and go the direction you want to go when it’s hovering if you have it sold you have to create energy from a stale

Position which you saying you saying hover or hover H all right we’re in America we speak American hey man baby USA all the way should we start chanting yeah all right I wasn’t convinced that you’re in love with that I know it’s close I know

If only we could see where it was which in the right half I know yeah it’s in the right half lighter the head you can swing it faster but heavier the head you can hit it Collision is more efficient yeah I’m going to put the hot melt in

And I’m going to if I had eight G that would move the CG a millimeter so I don’t I have like six G so I’m going to put six down the center right side if it was a golf hole it’d be like inside right half or right half I’m not going

To go out I trust your accuracy cuz you know I’m going to go right half I’ve been doing the F hands I have the falo hands for this for sure you have the golf hands some reason I have the workshop hands what’s that tell you about my

Hands so the way to do this properly is you would pull a full trigger out usually half a trigger is about 6 G um creep up on it tilt that that way look at how slowly I’m putting the Hot Melt in I absolutely don’t want too much

Hot Melt in so it’s not really catching I can feel that this is out of juice okay so pillows are in Hot Melt pillows they keep from here give that a little second although that thing is nuclear so let’s just let that now it’s coming through so we get

Back to it now I can feel it in my fingers tilting it so it doesn’t go on the face critical wipe off the spiderwebs so that Hot Melt now is right there you feel that right there have a touch of that Q softly softly Cente Cente yeah do that mean softly Cente

Means hot hot okay there the boys have got it 193. n creepy creepy got another three G I think you tried to throw a Spanish word out there some at some point and it was the only one I’ve got is picante spicy and look it see how it rolls off

Adjust this weight and this weight at the Kingdom do I have to retell the story of I’ve never been Club Fit and I’ve never had any of this done until we started doing this a couple years ago and the iron the ferry wood the driver everything has been as good as it’s ever

Been in my whole entire life because of this right so here’s what I’m doing just to make sure we’re covered on this that’s now got hot melt in it I’m taking the components of the driver and like look at how light this is so light but we got

38 G right there but if you look at this I’ve got front and screw 19 G and therefore obviously back and screw 18 19 G pretty much comes to a total of 38 add that in that’s your shell weight okay but what I’m going to try and get to

Here with that pop this out that that leaves me another nine I’m going to grab this 16 so when we get to the kingdom why is it why are you doing this Troy who cares basically 17.5 so that’s one G away this weight is really

Heavy so I’m going to stick this back in having this weight at the back and this is what will happen with everyone when they go for a fitting this is what you’re doing the CG now in this club by putting this back together is kind of

Here okay so it’ll give you a high launch hopefully with low spin having this weight now I can put heavier in the front lighter in the back cuz that’s only going to be five and I’ll be able to bring the flight down preference for me with fitting with Al because he wants

Face angle will be to adjust it with the Loft sleeve so the center of gravity keep up with me is deeper therefore I can take the Loft off get the face angle he wants to give us the flight he wants if I get stumped with that then I go to

These weights stumped is a Cricut term it means if someone gets me out soft use these weights then the double fall back is to come back and do that head we won’t get to that point if I’m being honest he’s either going to play it in

The Loft setting we have or he’s going to play it in one Loft setting lower and it’s going to be done but as a fitter you and take this away from this video any Fitters out there you always want to have two or three options up your sleeve especially with good players because

Three or four shots you’re going to know if it’s going to work so on tour you have to have one or two changes that you’re ready to make because there could be big tournaments on the line and they don’t want to waste time in the practice

Tea like this fitting is 10:30 now we haven’t even hit a ball yet that’s how you do real good player fitting boom all right going to let that Hot Melt just set down that right third right half of it’s a golf hole I think this thing’s

Going to be money head to the kingom okay buddy let’s go we’re out here I’ve moved you down to the right side just asked me about tp5 and tp5x golf ball you play the tp5 from previous fittings you guys can check that out just keep an eye out when you’re here hitting this

We’ve got the full swing monitor out but on the same note I want you just to keep an eye out on prevailing winds and what’s going on might look spinny but I don’t think it will be so you’re asking me about the ball but yeah I mean I I’ve

Just been since our other fitting and switching the tp5 I just haven’t questioned it since and it’s been great I haven’t had a reason a switch and so I just stayed the course haven’t bothered but now that we’re hitting this again I don’t let it we’ll do a test you

Obviously have tons of speed so that’s great touch toe see felt pretty good are we going with the five or 5x this bag is fives okay so it’s an interesting fit because of the wind go two or three more before I worry about anything on here Little Miss

But we okay here here guy’s too long that was a little better feels good I’ve done my job I’m not t i don’t need to touch this golf club you keep aiming a little bit right you got the ball miles forward and you hit low in the blade I’m not it’s not

Like you buddy by the way any other Tour player in the world is taking every one of them let’s just just get a recap of this they’ve all gone 311 so this is but I prefer that yeah that’s better I just give you a little lesson there

Maybe maybe that’s spot on that was better it was Fant I already told you that well now now you’re agreeing with me 326 so 326 attack angle 2.3 face to path 3.5 178 24 304 these feel a little slow for me right now though but what happens

Or playing a lot my like attack or path might get a little off and then obviously my alignment might be a touch always off that could use some maintenance but I think if I get this thing a little wider and shallower for how would you fix your alignment you

Wouldn’t look to one uh no I I would defin so alignment I’ll just go right back to Sure dropping sticks is always good but really it’s kind of just for me just actually taking time to line up like you would on the course so it’s funny if I’m hitting balls my alignment

Will always be more messed up than if I’m out playing if I’m out playing it’s never messed up interesting really CU I’m actually cuz I’m actually going through this whole thing of like lining everything up pretending let’s do it as if we’re on a golf course exactly

Because I’m looking at these numbers and I I’m like I don’t know how to help you here and I’m looking at that what ball was that X or normal normal so that’s tb5 yeah cuz I’m looking at that and that’s doing everything I want it to do

Yeah that was that was better see that was a course swing oh these number these like there’s nothing here that says to me change anything okay it feels good looks good looks really clean obviously huge and no left so the few biggest things are right that’s pretty the nice part

Actually it’s funny I when I some of them I hit hard they’ll actually stay bleeding out it’s got the right on it we like I want to see this just to clear up the strike I don’t think well the last probably five have been way better no no

Uh low heels keep in mind this is two clicks towards lower I think if we weren’t hitting into Breeze and I know we’re go one click yeah so you get it and obviously we’re going to go on the golf course later so we can have a look at that

Good that’s pretty good it’s lovely but how good’s that like the driver’s in the ballpark yeah 300 carry 27 122 178 so if anything this is same ball speed if not a bit quicker but for you it’s more getting the where’s the shot going there we go what I’m saying is

You’ve bowled up that’s 180 ball speed you’re bowling up here though with a slight heel Miss today yeah I think that’s me 2400 spin 310 carry normalized 120 ball speed 179 sorry 179 ball speed 120 Club speed now how much uh two things we light in the head not that I

Want that I’m saying if you were to lighten the head or put even an S flex shaft in here what difference does that put into uh speed on ball speed and Club head speed would that make any difference lightening the head would slow it down wouldn’t it lightning the

Head would slow your swing speed down no no it slow your ball speed down it yeah exactly and I don’t care about Club speed I no but I’m seeing cuz some people were asking me about this where you’re like you you know finding that right happy medium balance between the

Weight me you can swing something faster but I think too many people are harped on swinging faster equates to more distance when not equates distance like I’m I think I’m a perfect example of that without to me own horn like if I’m driving well I hit it really far for

Someone who is 4 foot2 to be honest with you what are you talking about you are you’re 63 today dude exactly I’m 63 in here that’s what happened but like I have great numbers and that’s why I hit it a long way for you could stand on

This the rest of the I could I might do the rest of the video yeah but like I think that great numbers means more than yeah well I think um I just I’m only saying because I just had this conversation with someone and they were asking me online and I said that

You know just because your certain numbers are a certain way doesn’t equate to efficiency distance what you’d want to see on a course I mean you can give me something way lighter I’m going to swing my get my club head speed way faster but I’d rather be knowing where

I’m going every single time and it’s the hammer analogy so think the best analogy I had from someone at Taylor Made one of the engineers if you think about two cars going down the road one car has got a trunk which is a boot in the UK full

Of bricks right the one with the bricks is going to give more energy off a collision than the one with no bricks goes back to our conversation Q know why any of this light stuff good players play heavy stuff heavy swing weight all right so we got the tour aim down yeah

Tour a fix the alignment let’s fix the strike we’re going to put that to bed that was great I like that one yeah a little high in the blade little higher but that’s what I like I’m very happy with this you know what I got to say

With this driver too if you are a fan of not and I I know I go back to this a lot but if you’re a fan of not wanting the even the idea of this going left this driver doesn’t look like it’s going to go left but that one is bespoke to you

Yeah right remember I’ve Hot Melt that I’ve put all the weight where you need it just uh for the video here we never needed we never needed the backup weight weights we never needed any of that looks a little spinny into Breeze get it low in the blade uh a little so
