Player on this Seahawks defense in the second half of 2023 and although the Seahawks didn’t make the playoffs it wasn’t for a lack of trying it wasn’t a lack of effort on Leonard williams’ part he was a GameChanger for this group four sacks in the 10 games that he played 11 QB hits

Um ended up with 10 tackles for loss for the season 62 tackles Leonard Williams was fantastic and when you gave up a second round pick when you gave up a fifth round pick you had no choice but to get this done to get a longterm deal taken care of with Leonard Williams it

Would have been straight up malpractice had the SE Haw not gotten something done with Leonard Williams with what you gave up at the trade deadline you knew it was more than just a rental this was a long-term investment this is huge to take care of this and

Get this done and bring him back you didn’t have a choice you had to do something and you took care of it and you got it done day one of free agency before other teams were calling Leonard Williams and it was taken care of so very good news there but that’s not all

Folks uh Noah fan also returning to Seattle two years $21 million to return to the Seahawks and we saw today that the Seahawks ultimately did not bring back will dley they didn’t bring back Kobe Parkinson dley of course got caught he ends up going uh to the Chargers and

Parkinson ends up with uh the Rams and we’ll talk more about that uh coming up later on in the show um and I gotta say this I look at Noah Fant this guy was so underutilized in the Seahawks offense uh not just a year ago but really his

Entire tenure in Seattle at this point last year 32 catches 414 yards 13 yards reception no touchdowns it was a joke that he was not used more in this Seahawks offense and now that I look at what the Seahawks are going to do bringing in Ryan grub running this air

Raid scheme we’re expecting this offense to be high-powered expecting to be flashy right the tight end position Noah Fant and the other tight ends because you’re about to rework that position group here need to be used to their fullest extent and need to be used effectively in the passing game Shane
