Of the playin picture yeah exactly and and if you know Houston the the makeup of that team the makeup of their head coach um you got to think even if they were out of it mathematically which they’re not they would still want to play the role of spoiler like they’re

Ellis play when Keon’s looking for this uh the the screen to come and he’s on got his head on the swivel he was played like a fiddle by Jaylen Brunson on that play I don’t know if you saw the uh breakdown of it like the slow-mo replay
Jayen Brunson knew Keon was had his head on the swivel so he basically called for the screen really didn’t want it though he knew Keon was going to turn his head as soon as he did he and so you know mistakes like that those are growing uh
Things that I think uh Keon will will grow through but overall I was not upset with the king’s performance in that game notice I say the Kings Performance the officiating will get into Jaylen Brunson going off will get it but the Kings I thought it was a hard-nosed tough fight

More threes than you Jaylen Brunson himself was five of 10 Dante dant chenzo who was only three of 12 from three I thought those first half threes he hit were big for the New York n he’s not shy about putting him up is he no 12 three-point attemp 12 three-point
Attempts my second draes take has to deal with damont sabonis stat sheet says 2114 great game I thought that he the way he started the game off that first half I needed to see that in the second half Whitey 11 first half shots for Damonte sabonis only five in the second
Half I don’t know if it was because of the defense by Isaiah hartenstein maybe not as uh much precious AA in second half but against that Nicks team domas I wanted to see more aggressiveness and I know he was hampered by the officiating he should have been to the line 10 to 15

Malik and so I still believe Kevin herder needs to be in the starting lineup but what we saw the other night it may be like that going forward if he has it going great if he doesn’t I got to rock with somebody else I think a lot
Of people are misreading this and I I agree with you let’s say you start herder uh and he doesn’t play well then he’s out and then you know Keon plays comes in and plays well like the last game if herder hadn’t started it wouldn’t have made any difference it’s
Not like oh well they would have won right you know if he doesn’t play well whether he’s starting or coming off the bench especially when you’re having trouble scoring you still need him to play well that’s the issue whether he starts or not and probably starting him
Gives you your best chance to get him to a point where he’s contributing again but if he’s not starting that doesn’t really any problem right uh exactly ultimately like you said he just needs to make shot we need this dud to make shots for the Kings to be at their
Greatest I also want to talk about Davon Mitchell he only played 12 minutes the other night I’m not sure what he was doing you know that didn’t warrant more minutes or or whatnot but you would think on a night when Kevin herter doesn’t have it going I thought Keon was
Good I don’t think he was you know as impactful as the Lakers game or the Milwaukee game he was good how come we didn’t see my guy deavon a little more I I don’t know don’t you think it’s pretty clear Keon essentially took some of davon’s minutes yes they were giving to

To call your own fouls out there because if you’re looking at a whistle to help you out it was not coming and the league two-minute report mentioned how domas should have been uh been whistled uh the Nick should have been whistled for a foul on domas with about 50 seconds left

Started and I was getting some shots up from the corner and I didn’t know that my guy miles was behind me he was sitting right behind me with his phone out and so I had I had made a couple of shots and so he pulled his phone out
Because like oh that’s cool let me let’s get a mean making some shots and put that on there so when he had record the first one I shot was the one that y’all saw so he said oh this is even better and so that’s what happened as far as
Why my hand did that I don’t shoot like that I don’t I don’t feel the need to defend myself too hard because I have a lot of friends who are uh in the media friends who are former NBA players uh friends or current NBA players friends or are NBA coaches people comedians

But once again New York played very gritty hard no style of basketball I thought the Kings did okay with it you know it’s one of those things to where I thought they could have played better I thought basketball IQ would have kicked in and they would have made a couple
Better decisions out there on the floor which they didn’t you know the Sacramento Kings are a live and die by the three-point shot yep you know and and when you’re playing uh a physical hard noosed gritty game those legs aren’t going to be there in that fourth quarter to shoot those
Threes you’re going to have to step inside knock down some twos you’re just not going to be able to do the exact same things that you’ve always done because you had a guy hanging and pulling and grabbing on you the whole game you got to change that game up
Scott yeah no question the kings were 10 of 37 from three-point land in that game just 27% they only shot 35% from the floor now they did get to the line 10 more times than the Knicks but it was only a 174th quarter for Sacramento that’s not Sacramento basketball no and
You know and two way Scott and the pace and your legs are tired because you didn’t fall you didn’t tried to you know do something extra to show the referee you’re being filed you know you’re doing extra flailing extra things like that instead of just really trying to pick
The pace up to where the Knicks can’t run with you I really thought the Kings was going to run them out the gym because they don’t want to run but that didn’t happen and then at the end of the day the overall totality of that game
Showed me this and it should have showed the Sacramento Kings this also uh if you’re trying to do something special this year you’re trying to take the next step well you played Golden State last year and you took them to seven Golden State isn’t the most physical team to play against and then
We saw what happened to us once golden state did get physical yeah so if you want to take a step further in the playoffs every game in the playoffs has that type of physicality to it has that type of high energy to it you better get

This game they’re 38 and 28 again they are clinging to the sixth spot in the Western Conference the Mavs and suns are both eight and a half games out along with the Kings but by percentage points the kings are in that six spot at 38- 28
The Mavs are 39 and 29 and the suns are 39 and 29 and first of all Henry did you see the Finish to the Mavs game in Kyrie’s shot yesterday that wasn’t Kyrie that was Uncle Drew that was Uncle Drew right there with the left hand from the dotted yes I
