Saw Grass incredible time this venue is sort of what all venues that are you know up and coming that have the the money the vision whatever it might be in the future should strive to be it’s fun it’s inclusive it’s right in the middle of this little Community here it doesn’t
Try to be Augusta National or Cypress Point or even abandon dunes or a Piner it just tries to be the coolest most fun thing that it can be in this little area it’s got 12 holes that are uh you know normal Golf Course holes in terms of
Part fours part fivs part 3es whatever then it’s got like a little six hole loop it’s got pickle ball the yards in Pon ofra Beach I could not recommend more yeah it’s been great Frankie do you want to talk at all about the pickle ball event I thought I thought it went
Great yeah yesterday was the first uh one of the year we did one last year on Long Island I’ve obviously been pushing pickle ball a lot for this upcoming um tour that we’re going on and we were a little bit nervous about Jacksonville going in uh because it was a Tuesday and
It wasn’t like we didn’t know that were going to get many people that listen to the podcast that were going to be in there like we thought it was just going to be pickle ball like central people and we ended up getting a bunch of
People that listen to the show it was an amazing turnout people really got like what we were trying to accomplish which is like have fun and like play the music during the matches and like not get so serious and but then the competition towards the end just like is unmatched
It’s the second wave you’re dealing with just a different level of pickle ball player yeah cuz I don’t I mean I like pickle ball I’ve played pickle ball a few times but I don’t understand like the 3 and a half 4.0 4.5 thing but then when you watch I mean it’s basically a
Golf handicap and as you get to like four and a half we’re talking serious pickle ball play the guys who finished up yeah the people that finished up in the finals of yesterday’s pickleball event were some of the best pickleball players I’ve ever seen professional pickleball player like professional
That’s what it said on his Instagram BYO and it’s it goes to show how far music can change the atmosphere of something just cuz we had I I heard you talking about Frankie other pickle ball events where maybe there isn’t music and all you hear is click clack click clack
Click clack of the pickle ball play having music just makes everything better and it feels like a party and it was a good time and people still enjoyed it because it’s not like golf where you if you play music people are kind of like oh wow this is a little different
It seemed like people enjoyed it yeah they did it made it a little bit different like you couldn’t hear people’s um like what the score was and all that like when you were when you were essentially like saying like oh it’s two Serv one two serving two whatever was a little bit
More it definitely affected the game a little bit but I just liked it I I just thought the Vibes were way better um and yeah just I just lost my train of thought I don’t know if we’re going to put on our own pickle ball events I mean
If we’re going to be honest about it we’re like doing a show in the middle of like a lest locker room I was going to say it’s hard to describe where we are we’re we’re outside of a ladies we’re in the we’re in the ladies Lounge of the
Yards because this is the room that they told us to go into and there’s a bathroom obviously behind a closed door yeah to behind the cameras and we thought no one would walk through here and it’s just every single woman that’s walking more traffic than New York City
Oh this is the women’s room we like we know we know and we had one woman walked in and goes oh it says women I looked in and there’s just a bunch of men yeah it’s unfortunate and I keep losing my train D cuz they just keep looking at
Like I hope the camera caught that you can slowly you you start to just go on autopilot and you’re just like I’m going to say things that I know that I can say but I’m focused on this woman walking CU she looked at me she just went

In it’s something that we haven’t done we did the Long Island one last year I knew that I could do that because it’s Long Island people I knew 30 of the players that were in it essentially like it was going to be a no-brainer this was our first time really going somewhere
New and I thought it went great shout out to Big Rob if you’ve listened to the podcast you know that he’s been my friend forever um and he’s just i’ I’ve described him in many different ways and the fact that we put any sort of trust
Into him with the stories that I’ve told are out of control he really is a one he’s a one in a billion type of person well when I met him for the first time he walked over and gave me like a very proper handshake and he’s like I’m Rob

Just going to turn really tan and it’s like we get that at some point you’re going turn 10 but last night he said he had to wake up at 2:00 in the morning turn on the ice cold shower and just put his neck underneath the water he had to
You get that kind of C that guy rooming with me tonight cuz his hotel room’s up tonight so I’m just going to hear that shower running at 2:00 3:00 in the morning I know it but he runs a hell of a pickle ball event so that was the
Really big thing um and we’ll get to the golf event we’ll get to everything we have to talk about we have to talk about pickle the whole time but um we partnered up with pickle ball Den which is this software that our guy Ben invented of the more impressive people
I’ve ever met in my entire life has this software it’s essentially like golf genius but for pickle ball but way more way more detailed into like what pickle ball needs so like when you played in our event yesterday this you got a text message as to where you and your partner
Had to be which court out of the 12 courts who you were playing and then once your match ended and you inputed your score into the app it told you where your next court was who you were playing so you played five games we have the data the longest somebody waited
From 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for a game was 11 minutes and 33 seconds and that was because they weren’t checking their phone unbelievable that’s just the most streamlined seamless well oil machine of a because the other option is the first round of games finishes and
Then you and Big Rob are up there Long Island looking at a [ __ ] thing and then you grab the mic and you go team Smith and wolinski which is an interesting choice by me you’re on court seven is are they where are you at seven
And then they got to find it and you got to do that the whole time we were like we in Long Island we were like looking out at like empty courts and be like all right I think you guys can go you guys can go out there you can go to two you
Can go to three now it was just like let’s just have a good time I mean we had a mic I had a mic in my hand I didn’t have to say anything really until the end and then yeah the Championships were great so um pickle barsal

Not known as like the most warm friendly people in the entire country um it it almost has like more of a Midwestern vibe in a lot of places uh and I just like it I like that there’s a little bit of a difference like you can go 20
Minutes east and you’re on the beach and like Jacksonville Beach has like rooftop bars that Overlook the ocean and it’s just I don’t know I like Jack we’ve also got incredibly lucky with the weather these last two days 75 and Sunny every time I’m in Scot every time I’m in

So the pickle ball event was won by a pro and the golf event Was Won by a pro so the competition I hear is steep well shout out in the pickle ball event to we had a mixed doubles team that messaged us earlier in the day we had a little
Bit of trouble with the Women’s Division in like the later wave we just couldn’t get committed like enough committed women in the 4.0 plus division to fill out a full bracket so we ended up emailing all the women and being like listen like you guys can play around
Robin there’s not that many teams and then there was one mixed division that also was falling into that category and we said to them um like we can put you in this like mixed pool with like the lower divisions unless you feel like that’s going to be unfair then like
We’ll just refund you your money and you just don’t have to come to the event and they’re like listen we would love to play in like the top male Division I know that there’s a woman that’s going to be my partner but she’s going to [ __ ] win this thing and and like
There was a little bit of push back we like emailed people in the men’s division being like is everyone all right with this and they’re like No And it’s like we we want good competition we’re all Pros who ended up winning the woman the mixed team W unbelievable they
Were unbelievable she was like she was not she wasn’t like she was like a little bit of an older lady and she well I was going to say it’s not like she’s in college right and the fact that pickleball is such an interesting game and that she’s just more skilled than
The other people she’s playing a skill game and that’s just it had power too yeah she was sick I was watching some of the highlights that Brennan was cutting up and she was just absolutely ripping the ball back at guys and it wasn’t like she like she had a great attitude after
She was like so like grateful and all that but I like that people push back we want real competition [ __ ] dusted on the microphone when I was announcing the second wave I’m like hey guys and also shout out to the mixed doubles team in the men’s division I know some people
Might be like oh we got to play a woman in this I guarantee you she wins this thing and she [ __ ] won there you go cool damn that’s very cool that is absolutely awesome yes Pros did win our two events which was interesting well at least they’re showing up at some point
It’s like what are we not going to let Matt every play in the whole thing and it wasn’t he signed up on his own right signed up on his own his so his partner signed up and then was like uh my partner bailed out a week ago or
Whatever and Matt was actually my second choice as a fill in hilarious and then Matt showed up as the fill in played obviously uh but they won but they won by so going into they were tied for the lead with two other teams going into the playoff and then in the finals they
Didn’t birdie or no they birdied two out of three holes to get to seven under yeah and then they birdied his every’s partner actually hit it to like a foot on the playoff hole Yeah and they won the whole thing so credit to them but it
Wasn’t like they won by 10 shots it’s like an absolute metal i w I went up to uh to ‘s Hole as what dude you did what you should have to get your way through this sentence starting with what you’ve started what’s the next word going to be gaping
Um so so so I go up to every’s hole’s hole walked right up to every’s Hole um he was on all fours nice out of hair from the front and the back but he um no Jesus Christ so we get to we get to the third hole
And I think it was the second hole actually and he uh and I go up to his Partners or the guys that we did three groups of two so it sixms all scramble and I walked up to two of the guys that were playing with Matt everyy and I’m
Like you guys know you’re playing with a pro here and they were kind of just like what like they didn’t know which guy I was talking about which was kind of like weird I was like how would you not know from the first two holes it’s like very
Apparent when there’s a pro in the in in the field yep and um they’re like what are you talking about I’m like it’s that guy right there he won back to back at Bay Hill in 2014 and they looked at me and the older guys like you’re [ __ ]
Bullshitting me so then as he I’m like why he goes guy [ __ ] put it out of bounds on one can barely hit the golf ball so then I’m like well let’s watch this one and he at the time he had driver off the deck in the middle of the
Fairway and I’m like he’s I’m like watch this guy’s out of control good and he just like barely makes contact with like a pull just miss into the water and like looks around like ah I suck and the guy’s like you’re bullshitting me the older guy just wouldn’t believe me until
I had to pull up on my phone that this guy won twice on door so he definitely struggled in the beginning but then when I didn’t see him for the rest of the day they must have just made birdie after birdie yeah he threw a dart on the part
Three that I was on so it comes and goes with mad it is funny though it’s like you could be on top of the world like that with your game and then just 10 years later like it was there’s a lot there’s a lot of those stories I got to
Give him credit coming out knowing that like we’re going to have video cameras out social and he like on the first hole that I saw him on he’s like please don’t watch this I suck it calll yeah and and then he hit like a chunky wedge it still
Ended up like 15 or 20 feet from the hole but like it did not look or sound good and then I saw you an hour later and you were like yeah I watch every play like he everybody said he was playing horrible and then I looked and his team was like

And she asked me for a photo yeah and she was just like she was she was pretty like just like all in your like she was like getting handsy like like come on let’s let’s get a photo so when she came over to me I’m smoking a cigar she kind
Of like threw my arm around her to do this photo and I didn’t realize where the extension of my cigar was going okay and this guy in my in my peripheral was wearing a brand new Dale nhart jacket that he definitely got at at the Daytona
500 hours ago maybe 30 minutes ago and it was all white and then I take this photo and I knew I felt it it wasn’t on my finger but I felt that something at the end of my cigar hit something yeah and I just took the photo I said thanks or whatever
I see you later and then when we all dispersed I looked in the corner and the back of his jacket was just filled with Ash that’s tough ruined his jacket did he realize or so then later on in that day I’m like I was freaking out you know
How I I freak out about [ __ ] like that I was like my I was very nervous I was I was anxious and um an hour goes by and then I told KFC this cuz him and fights thought it was very funny cuz we were watching him walk around with just this

And this that and the other but uh one guy asked him about John ROM because he was like you know we haven’t spoken to you since John ROM left reigning Masters champion basically the question was like you know were you disappointed and and are you worried about losing more
Players as the negotiations continue and he basically said I uh I’m worried about what I can control which is making the PJ tour better and then the guy followed up and goes yeah but what about John ROM leaving and he goes I just answered your question which was like it was the
Perfect opportunity when we were talking about this rigs for him to just give the human answer which is yeah it was really bad losing John he’s a incredible player great Champion he’s the exact type of person we want on the PGA tour and yeah anytime we lose a player it’s it’s
Difficult personally and and for the organization that would have been such a human answer it would have given him some PR points instead he was coached up he was really really coached up the whole time which makes me think that this deal might actually be close that’s
What he seemed to suggest yeah I so I’m always amazed and and about in press conferences in front of the media Whatever Whenever certain people for whatever reason feel like believed or coached up to believe and then deliver that they can’t even address something I’ve never understood that like on a

When John R left not only did he evade it but he got testy which was just the worst thing to do I also want to say that the PGA Tour needs to hire a body language consultant or something the lecturn was way too high he looked short
