Hey guys Mr short hitter here you don’t look like a short hitter to me today is the day you guys have all been asking about everything you’ve been looking for I am at the 70 the fitting location for sub7 golf so we’re going to visit the fitting location here we’re going to go

Back to the warehouse see how the clubs are built put together and shipped out to you so check it out here is the stack of orders from a weekend in February so this will just keep growing from here I don’t think there about 300 orders in

There so the guys up front when you first came in that’s customer service and they’re processing the ERS taking calls and all that but you are in the area now where the fund starts because so all the clubs get built so every one of these is an individual order and they

All have to be built by hand here so there’s nothing pre-made so we’re going to take every order and we’re going to walk you through the process of how it goes from this on paper to getting built to out the door and showing all the

Steps we do to ensure that the law flies are perfect everything’s built EX exactly to your spec so every Club is built literally one at a time once the order comes in all the inventory for the shafts the grips the heads they’re here in symore Illinois so if you look at

This long row what we would do is grab a shaft grab the head on that order sheet would have all the particulars of the parts we’re going to pull to build that Golf Club so literally we’re going down aisles we’re grabbing your exact set build it to your specification so this

Would be kind of the next step in the process and then we’re going to go cut some shafts and show you how that looks and then we’ll get to the assembly part but this is this is kind of how it works this is where all the inventory is at

This is where all of those things that become a golf club are all sitting before they you know become a golf club so this is the part where the clubs start to get built so we have jigs for all of the shafts so shafts are trimmed

In different ways we have the ability to use the right jig so Omar can actually pull this cut the tip end also do the butt end for length in one swoop so this is just the process he’s got steel shafts there we do the same for graphite

Of how this would work so this would be step one on cutting your exact shaft for how your Club is getting built so we’ll let Omar do his thing Here so once the shafts are cut you have to grind the end of the tip so the epoxy will hold on to the edge so that’s what Omar is going to do here he’s going to put a little roughness on this steel shaft so when we glue it it makes a much

Better Bond and he’ll show how that’s done so now we are in the assembly room after the shafts are cut and the tips are grinded and this is where they get epoxied gripped Loft Li changes all that stuff so on this rack here this set’s still drying you got to let the epoxy

Drive 24 hours these are pretty much ready to go so you can see how many different shafts grips and stuff that we have that part’s all done in this area so once the club process starts takes about a day for the glue to dry for us

To do all the work we usually run about one to two weeks lead time but once your clubs get started it takes about a day for us to start the process to box them up to finish the process so this is kind of what it looks like when they’re on

The drying rack getting ready to be box stuff no golf club when it comes from The Foundry is perfect there’s a variance in manufacturing so before all of our clubs go out you have to check Loft and line and some people want stronger Lofts weaker Lofts upright lies

Flatter lies so before each Club gets shipped we’re looking at that order sheet to make sure it gets built exactly to those specifications so we’re going through each Club making sure it’s exactly to spec the way you wanted it and that way when you get them if you

Want them one degree strong one degree upright they’re one degree strong and one degree upright so we have a lot of custom ferals and we work with different manufacturers to have these cool custom ferals and sometimes they don’t fit exactly perfect from the factory so what

You have to do is turn a feral down and we use that machine for that and acetone so when the feral which is just a cosmetic piece comes together with the club head it fits absolutely perfect and it looks like it’s one continual piece but it does need manual labor to get

That exactly right to make it look seamless and people love having custom ation their clubs doing a cool feral with colors Stripes anything like that it just makes the club look distinctive it makes it your club but it takes a little bit more work to get them perfect

But that’s how we do it once your clubs are built they’re going to come over to this area and we’re going to box it up and it’s a tradition we’ve always done at sub7 is hand write a note and say thank you because we truly do appreciate the customers trusting us with their

Equipment we really appreciate it so I used to do them at first I still do them if it’s needed every now and then but Rodney is writing a note that basically says thank you and how much we appreciate we really do do it by hand so

That will go in there along with some other goodies and then once we get that boxed up we’re going to go to the shipping area where the boxes actually leave the building and that will be the kind of final step from the start of your sub7 golf club to how it gets

Shipped out to you a real live person there real human so the final segment Rodney is taking care of the Box on the other side of the warehouse now it’s going to come over here to actually get shipped so gets packaged up UPS truck or US mail

Truck will come to our back door box it up should look like this when you actually get it after the order so hopefully this kind of shows from the start of it of when the order comes in to how we custom build the club package

It up get it to you an efficient manner you know we want to let you know that your clubs are handled with care and handled with love and we’re so fortunate we get to do this for a living but you get a little bit of a behind the scenes

Look how custom clubs are built at sub7 go so guys this is like a golfer’s dream through here you have all the wedge heads the driver heads so we’re going to head over to the studio and maybe hit a few of these Jason will tell us a little bit more about the

Clubs now we’re to the good stuff guys Jason’s got the wedges here and we’re at the 70 fitting Center so we are now out of the warehouse over to where you get fit for these clubs perfect we have three kind of designs the JB series and all our wedges are forged mil grooves

Every bit of Technology really soft feel they’re going to perform but each person has a little bit of a different grind that they kind of want for their game right everyone swings a little bit different the way the approach wedge shots are a little different so the JB

Wedge is our players wedge so it’s going to be think Bill Mickelson open it up closing it a lot of creativity to it right our 286 series is going to be more of a universal wedge where bunch of tech in the face of the million in the

Grooves being it’s going to bite it’s going to perform but a very soft role to the soul so this this is going to be like your wedge from bunkers all conditions very Universal okay and then the newest one we did was the project we worked on with Tommy Arma I third which

Is the ta3 wedge so this is going to be kind of in between the 286 and the JB you’re it’s going to have a little bit thinner Soul so a little bit more creativity with it but it’s still soft and rounded so even though it was made

By Tommy who was you know it’s a tour player it’s still mid handicaps can definitely use this wedge it’s still kind of Universal but it’s not quite as forgiven as the 286 so we’ve got three different wedge series that will kind of cover a bunch of different golfers based

Upon the kind of shots and the way they view the shots and how they want to play them but they’re all going to perform for that certain segment raw finish black finish and tour satin and all of them all three so you can you can kind

Of get the finish and look that you want as well this is just an example this is some of the forge stuff our tour blade and our 659 CB but we have a wide variety of of irons all the way from our $99 model which is an kind of an ultra

Game improvement club for people with slower Club head speeds has the hollow body technology hot face okay low Center gravity like very easy to hit for beginners seniors or people want more distance and height then we have all the way to a tour blade like our 649 MB from

Start to finish you know we have every sort of segment covered to custom build the irons also our most popular series would be our $699 series and that’s two different types in that the pro and the standard and that’s going to be a Hollow Golf Club where they look almost like a

Blade it’s that style but it’s game improvement technology with a face that flexes like a titanium driver so that fits a lot of people cuz who doesn’t really want a clean look with a bunch of tech that makes the ball go further and up in the air then we also have our Pro

Series in that $699 as well which is the same ball speed but a little bit more of a compact design a little bit more workable so at sub 70 we have literally stuff for turning Pros up to people just starting to golf and everywhere in between you know and we can custom make

It at the shop where we were just at so like things that you need L angle adjustments different shafts feral options you want a jumbo grip we can do it okay and that’s kind of the beauty of having the custom shop with all these different options and shafts and grips

That we can put any of these segments together to make like the perfect golf club for you that 649 is a nice looking hit that’s Players Club this yeah I mean this was influenced by guys on tour like it’s just as pure of a blade as you can get I mean

You know I’m not quite good enough to to use these I use something more like this but if I had the talent I mean those things are pretty yeah I believe I had a viewer that just mentioned those 649 so that looks pretty awesome you got to

Have some speed for it but for the elite player like this works you know he’s probably he’s probably got more speed than me and me definitely we have titanium drivers carbon fiber Crown that’s in our 849 series we have a pro and a standard Pro is going to be more

Compact anti-left golf club right so if you’re a player you watch a lot of stuff on the tour or a stronger player they’re not hitting draws that much anymore they’re kind of hitting that high fade our 849 Pro is designed to hit that low spin fade the 849 D more of a standard

Driver workable both ways a little bit larger CC’s uh 460 from 450 tow to heel a little longer so that’s more of our game improvement driver so we have both segments and then we have Fairway Woods as well it’s kind of our newer one it’s the new Pro Series in the V2

So this is replacing generation one with Gen 2 double face technology so it’s two faces one flexes than the other once again stronger player who wants workability more of a mid ball flight so we have that Pro style fairway wood with this new V2 series and then we have our

949 Fairway Wood which is more game improvement oriented a little easier to draw a little wider Heel To Toe again bigger footprint so once again we have our Pro Series in the woods designed for the more Elite player designed to make it a little easier to work or fade and

Then our 949 fairway wood or 849 D regular driver a little bit more game improvement oriented so we’ve got all the segments sort of covered on that as well that you know if you’re an elite player we got it you need a little bit

Of help we can help you as well okay now the woods are they adjustable well the driver is there’s 12 different positions on both the pro is not adjustable it’s bonded okay uh it just sits neutral so we just have it set where it’s Square for that player the 949 you can close

The faway W or open it on the we just leave it most really good players just want that Fairway Wood to sit Square so we have more weight to utilize for the bottom weight screws versus having weight in the hle so there is an advantage of not having an adapter

System where gives us more discretionary weight on the bottom to play with and we figured on the pro version more of the players are fine with that thing just sitting neutral to work at both ways okay all right got some nice looking Putters there it is a growing segment

For us we do them all the same way where they’re all Mill from one side solid Ingot okay so we think that gives the best feel where it’s just the most solid sort of energy transfer you feel it you know how you strike it but it doesn’t have

Any sort of a vibration it’s just a nice solid I call it like a tour field of the putter our Putters are also a little bit heavier by Design so many people are counterbalancing now with putting you know a bigger grip on the end of it or a

Heavy grip we feel having a slightly heavier head allows the putter to swing itself a little bit easier so we have all the way full line again from a blade like our o1 flown neck all the way up to a mallet style Putters and adjustable

Weights on some of these as well so you can get the right feel you can take the weights out and make a little bit more traditional weighted but if you want them heavier to counterbalance it you can do it okay but we stick with a real traditional way of making it we want

That tour feel to it that nice solid thud not obnoxious and we want people to be able to feel where they striking on the face if you miss hit it we want you to have that feedback loop with it as well there’s no cast there’s no forging

It’s just that machine making the Putter and they turn out Flawless every time how many models of Putters do you have we have 10 now from Blades all the way to mallets and mid mallets so we have 10 different Putters in the series to hopefully kind of fit the niche or the

Type of stroke some Center shafted stuff that works for you yeah but the philosophy of the design doesn’t really change we’re all M uh we’re going to have a little heavier weight with it with and when we have the space we’ll put the adjustable weights on it you

Dialed in a little bit you know exactly the way you want it to feel so you put it for everybody yeah pretty much hey guys I hope you enjoyed the video I can say without a doubt that I feel more welcome at sub7 than I’ve ever felt in

  1. Great meeting you golf show last Sunday! Another great video. Would definitely think of this company next time I am in the market for new clubs.

  2. Great video and an awesome company! I do a charity event every year for Operation Santa Claus in the Phoenix area hosting 320 golfers. Jason and the crew at Sub 70 have been our primary equipment provider the last 4 years for the door prizes. I've never received a complaint regarding their clubs, bags and accessories. We've given aways 100's of irons, drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges, bags, etc. Everyone I talk to afterwards love the product.

  3. All of their clubs look amazing. Don't play them please! I would have to watch. I just ordered Takomos yesterday and I don't want any buyers remorse!!! 😕

  4. I want to see you play a full round with a sub 70 set…
-I want to make it out there this summer if I can so I can be fit and get some new sticks…I got a used set from them and they are amazing…very very close to my specs as I think them to be, but would love to see what they actually are now

  5. Yes on a full 9! Did you get only irons or irons++? And…please do a hitting video with some of the irons to give context on how they hit to provide some dry data numbers.

  6. Great video MSH! Would enjoy seeing you get fit or hit these on the course. Doesn’t your buddy Tom use their wedges? Another subject…I just purchased the new 4+ Hywood. I would enjoy seeing you hit it and compare the numbers to your 4H. I love hitting my 3+ Hywood so I thought the 4+ would fit well in my bag. It should be delivered tomorrow.

  7. Thanks for the introduction to Sub70. Your page is the first I've heard of them. They can definitely talk the talk. If you got a proper fitting, love to see you play 9 and give a review.

  8. Definitely would like to see you hit some 70 sticks! I'm considering the 699 v1s, which are counterparts to the Takomo 101s (same exact offset angles and similar dimensions). Jason's sister company SMT also has a similar club- in the very same building- and I've wondered if it's of equal quality.

Did the subject of SMT's role or relationship to Sub 70 come up in your conversations? They're more into the club building side of things, selling heads, shafts, etc, in addition to whole club combos.

  9. Buddy I want to see those clubs in action.. Price of clubs are well below market price so it would be interesting to see if they produce quality numbers.

  10. Jason and the Sub 70 Team is AWESOME! I game the Driver, Woods, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges and Putter from Sub 70. Also game a Sub 70 bag! Get asked all the time where did I get my clubs? Sub 70!!!! Great video MSH! Thank You!

  11. That does seem like a good company making a superior product. Yes, I’d like to see you play a round with a set of Sub 70 clubs.

  12. Great video. Great company. I play the 699 v1 irons and have the Sub 70 Las Vegas double wide putter in the bag. Big fan of their equipment. I would definitely watch a video of you playing a round with Sub 70s.

  13. Some really classic looking clubs. Nice home grown feel company. Can't wait to see you hit their clubs. Interesting to see what wedges and lofts you go with. Good job as always 👏

  14. Watched the video and it was nice. GreatJob. Yes, I would like to see you play 9 holes with a set of sub 70 clubs.
The putters look nice too. I'm going to check them out on their website.

  15. I’ve seen a lot of reviews for sub70 irons but nothing much on drivers and fairway woods. Would be great for you to review. Thx

  16. I've been wanting to get out there to get a set of irons to replace my Mavriks for over a year. I do have a hybrid from them and I've gotten irons to demo a few times as well.

  17. Very cool behind the scenes at the Sub70 factory and fitting facility!!🏌‍♂⛳😀 Yeah it would be cool to see you play a round with them!!

  18. I really appreciate the video. I need a whole new set and I always try to support Small Biz locally. I especially appreciate you saying you felt welcome there. It's not often that We feel welcomed in a golf shop. I will be there in a few weeks. I'll also be letting my Family know.
