In the second round of THE PLAYERS Championship 2024, Wyndham Clark carded a 7-under 65 for the second-straight day to capture a four-shot lead, tied for the tournament’s second-largest after 36 holes.

The PGA TOUR heads to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida this week for the 50th anniversary of the THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course looking to become the first golfer to go back-to-back at THE PLAYERS after his impressive win last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. This was his seventh victory on TOUR since the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. He has also claimed four top-10s across his five starts so far this season. Rory McIlroy will also be in the field this week. He is without a top-20 this season but will take confidence from his victory here in 2019. Viktor Hovland returns to TPC Sawgrass following two straight top-10 finishes at THE PLAYERS, including a solo third last season. Others to look out for are 2021 PLAYERS winner Justin Thomas, 2023 U.S Open champion Wyndham Clark, Hideki Matsuyama and Xander Schauffele.

Well we were just talking before this that this golf course you have to be really mentally tough because cuz the minute you let go like one little one little ounce and you lose your focus you find yourself in a tough spot and can make a big number so I was really proud
Of myself I was really focused out there and anytime that I did maybe lose my focus I was able to bring it right back to the president and hit good shots great plan good luck this weekend thank you very much Dan boy it is a goodlook

Clark is still painfully underrated, the guy is in full beast mode right now and in current form will almost certainly finish top 5 in the one of the 3 US based majors this year.
What happened at 4:02. Ball clearly visible at set up, then started his backswing and the ball dropped into the grass. Obviously why he miss hit it. Didn’t look like he took the penalty for moving the ball. If he stopped and reset when he saw it move, penalty would have been more obvious.
