Abraham Ancer is finally a winner on LIV Golf. After struggling in the final round he held off Cameron Smith & Paul Casey in a playoff at LIV Hong Kong. Anthony Kim finally showed life by shooting a 5-under 65 in the final round. Scottie Scheffler finally got his putter in check and won by 5 vs. the best PGA Tour field this year. He’s now a 6-1 favorite to win The Masters. We discuss which LIV golfer can steal that victory from him. After four events we finally can figure out who is the anchor on each LIV team. Plus 22 LIV golfers will make the trip to Macau for this week’s International Series event.

Nice left-handed pitcher I’m all for it but anyway great event live Hong Kong we had a three-way playoff Abe Ana Paul Casey Cameron Smith and Abe Ana he had a chance to run away with it he faulted a little bit on Sunday but got into the

Playoff and he got the job done yeah I uh no joke going into that playoff I had zero faith that a aner was going to win that playoff I mean he he looked he looked weak all Sunday two over on Sunday where Casey was six under Smith

Was four under so they were hot answer wasn’t exactly and also it’s cam Smith going into a playoff you feel more confident about him even though he’s not traditionally good in playoffs at least in terms of winning them it’s still cam Smith now we forget something about a

Aner though uh AB aner it’s kind of funny when you look at his career I mean obviously this is his third win since joining Liv golf I mean he won the Pan-American games and he won the Saudi Invitational this last year inside of Liv golf has been very quiet it’s his

First live golf win his first live golf win official yeah what’s funny about a aner though when you really think about it think back to when he joined Liv golf his overall profile his overall name value his overall Prestige and everything was pretty much equivalent with Walkin Neeman yeah and yet we never

Talk about him in the same realm no he’s like three or four years older than waen but he really is when he came to live golf they were like 19 and 22 in the world golf rankings they were both on the uh 2019 president Cup team they were

You know both highly touted laat Latino Americans I mean or Latin or not even they’re not Americans but you know what I’m saying they’re they’re they’re Latinos you know from the Latin American World um you know that’s where they were both from they were both from that same

Kind of Realm and you know obviously walking got the captain ship uh Abraham didn’t and Wen showed up a lot better in his initial live golf window yeah they made the right choice giving Waco the captain ship maybe maybe Ana didn’t want it you know you don’t know what went on

Behind the scenes well yeah and you’re right and uh and obviously I think they probably got you would think they would get similar overall packages as far as you know this that or the other but it’s been kind of funny how this has worked out where Walkins kind of turned into a

More of a household named through Liv I think Abraham an was probably a bigger name when they signed I think so too I think he a little bit T talking infantes smile yeah and I think because he wasn’t given a captain ship it kind of lowered his stock in our

Eyes obviously and then you know AB really he struggled bad last season I mean he was in relegation zone for quite a bit of time yeah or at least flirting with it and so for him to get this win obviously very positive because it’s a new winner on live golf if you guys

Don’t know they were talking about this on the actual broadcast on Sunday that there’s only been 13 before aan so there been 14 total different players to win and live golf which makes sense there’s a lot of big chickens out there winning multiple events and more importantly there’s not that many tournaments so

There’s so few opportunities for guys to win yeah there’s been what 30 something tournaments now correct yeah so you know for avaner to pull it out get the playoff win very excited for him hope this is a sign of things to come because because he was somebody who coming in to

Live golf was highly touted really hasn’t shown up overall but finally did show up and that’s pretty cool to see yeah what about The Crushers man like honestly like they just can’t you know no pun intend they’re crushing you know they are they are the perfect live golf

Team they really are and I’ve said it before I’ve said it again they’re my they my preseason number one they’ve they’ve maintained that and if you look at it they are the first the first team to have all four active members of Liv golf on their on their roster having either

Won or lost in a playoff yeah lari lost in a playoff yeah but honestly like I don’t think there’s any other team that is fitted for a final round finish where all four now that all four guys count to the score on the final round like The Crushers are

The best because like you have guys that like people like leiri and Paul Casey they’re not World beaters but they’re so consistent like they’re not going to hurt you score you know like they might not go out there and far Casey did this week um you know but they’re not going

To hurt you whereas some of these other teams they have anchors on that team that come Sunday they’re just going to completely destroy your chances of winning yeah I mean you look at the iron heads you know they’re looking at their roster and they’re like and you know

Kevin Ma’s actually playing decent golf he finished he finished tied for tied for six this week but he can’t pick up he can’t pick Danny Lee janito Kazuma off and Scot Von sometimes is playing even worse too I know surprising that that Legion 13 came in 13th Place last

Place you know with something like r i mean I know they were GNA have some rough times here or there I you know somehow Cameron uh cam sorry Kieran Vincent just completely fell apart on Sunday and it happens this course was made more for tight play and that’s why

We saw teams like the cleaks like um Majestic GC actually having a chance at a Podium finish they didn’t end up finishing on that Podium but they but got fourth and third and fifth respectively uh missing out on the podium by one shot Majestics cleaks finishing at 29 under uh this was a

Course where honestly it was made for them to have more of a chance because it didn’t require distance yeah and you saw that poter had some 5 under rounds Stenson was in the conversation uh kimer actually had his best live golf round to date um and we saw that there were

Several guys who we’ve been needing to see something out of show up slightly not enough but slightly Anthony Kim Anthony Kim is one of those guys I’m so honestly like I I was writing him off I was writing Anthony Kim off I thought Sunday going

In suay I thought he was going to be a joke and he shot five under just completely amazing and the the the fact that it came out that he hasn’t even been fitted for equipment yet right that him him and his caddies they don’t even know his stocky orages or his distances

Like he’s out there playing you know half blind and he goes out and shoots a five on to 65 amazing I I I I saw enough from him in that five under round to give Credence to the experiment to stay on in there yeah definitely it’s kind of like where Phil Michelson played

Well in jeda where you’re just like okay he’s at least relevant to stay in to stay here he’s earned his keep yeah at least for for now I need to see more than just one round under par because obviously C1 k that 63 coming

Off of an 85 that one that one it’ll be interesting to see the next event in Miami Dural because it’s a course he’s played before he’s familiar with it and it’s a rough course well and the biggest thing for me is he’s he’s playing this week in Macau we’ll get to that later

But for me I I got to see him make the cut he has to make the cut that’s that’s that’s success for him this week at the international series event the international series event in mcow he has to make the cut for him to have an

Exp like for it to be a successful week for his camp he has to make the cut yeah um it’s a 72 whole event you’re playing up against 100 plus guy you know like how many do gets the invite for internation it’s like a full 100 plus

Guys right they usually have it those they us guys yeah the Asian tour keeps a pretty thick roster I mean they really don’t turn people away I mean you know if you pay the fee you can show up probably I mean I’m kidding but it’s not

It’s it’s kind of like that but not quite certain National events will will be pretty pretty thick like when they have the Indian event like there’s like 40 dudes from India you never heard of and so they there’s they have some pretty thick Fields there I mean it’ll

Be a like a traditional PGA event where he just 70 guys top 1 ties usually get the the go-ahead but we’ll get back to that in a second um but yeah you know several guys were looking really sharp out there uh like I said Martin kimer finally showed some life he got some

Points I think that was his first time getting points in a live golf event in his entire career and I’m I’m half joking half being serious it’s it’s it’s awesome and pathetic at the same time and you’re just I’ll be less irritated with it if I see more of him doing that

You know he’s been he’s been one of the guys like especially being a captain he hasn’t showed us anything so it’s nice to see I think there was one I think towards the end of last year he had one good start as well yeah one good start

You know didn’t didn’t finish yeah but you know it’s is what it I think about it like you know other than you know the bottom Five Guys that shot overp par everybody was even a which would you know like Kieran Vincent didn’t show up Phil Mickelson Swafford uh KRA and you

Know Anthony Kim but you know Anthony Kim he saved himself because he was eight under going into that last round he finished three over you eight uh eight over he finished three over so and again the five under I mean it was it was a very different course on Sunday it

Was wet um so I don’t know if they were playing lift clean in place I wasn’t I didn’t catch whether they were or were not I would assume they were it was raining um you know enough where they actually had umbrellas out for players so I would assume LIF clean in place I

Mean I didn’t catch whether it was or wasn’t but uh so that makes a different kind of conversation you know when you start putting the ball in your hand we’ve talked before it makes a huge difference in your overall score capabilities when you’re a top tier

Player um and so we’ll have to see what happens in this weekend Macau again we saw enough from him to at least validate the experiment going on and again uh do I have much faith not really but I have more faith in this moment than I did

Driver steady or if they can’t if it stays bad weather because we we saw Sunday he wasn’t in the conversation he was he was around but he wasn’t actually involved and then all of a sudden it’s a bad weather Sunday guess what he has a chance so if if if Augusta National has

Weather like last year I think he has a really good chance this season um but yes yeah going through that Aces Aces out it’s you want to say Pat Perez but it’s actually hv3 right now I know but you know throughout the year it’s going

To be Pepz you know we know it’s gonna be pz by the end of the year but it’s it’s kind of weird because Varner’s really not shown me enough yet well you said coming into the year you his off the field issues was going to cause some

Chakara yeah chakara is somebody whom it used to be pugge but now he’s he’s a balla yeah and chakara still shows up and has moments I mean he was he was actually in the final group I think uh was it was it Saturday it was Saturday

He was in the final group and he you know he just shot like over like he didn’t shoot over par he ended up shooting like three under but then fell you know found himself not in the you know in that mix anymore by Sunday so

That’s kind of the the issue is that he had his chance had his chance had his chance fell apart High Flyers everyone everyone no it’s mikkelson uh mikkelson but you know it’s sad no you can’t you can’t even say melson you can’t even say melson because MS had a top five finish

This year already yeah but uh you know it trinal is the most consistent player he is the number one he is their number one out and out their number one I haven’t seen Dick from ogal tree that makes me excited yet and he was a world

He was a world bur year he was looking hot he was looking like he was GNA actually he won the money list at the Asian tour and he was killing it last year to get on live now he gets on live he has the chance to make all this money

And he’s just like we’ll see what happens it’s it’s a long season there are opportunities but the fact that I haven’t seen him really show up at International series long season but we’re like a quarter of the we’re a third of the way done you’re right we’ve

Already had four events so it’s like how many events are that they sh 14 yeah 14 so we’re like I don’t know 30% done yeah so it’s like man you got to start yeah uh but yeah so really it’s it’s ogal tree right now steel

Still is yeah n had one good event they don’t they need somebody like Phil like I like I said said I think Phil still wants to take a shot at the US Open and um you know I just think I don’t know man I I I feel like they need like a

Stud over there they need like a guy you know they need like a ROM or a cam Smith or a DJ you know like if you don’t have one of those guys on your team it’s very hard to you know have any consistent success on live like you need a stud

Yeah you need somebody who you consistently walking into an event expect this dude to to try to win he could win he could win every week you know like you look at High flyes there they have nobody that you could say all that like they might they might you know

Grab winds here and there but like it’s it’ be one in a million you know like we look at your best player your best player on your team right now is tringali has tringali ever won a professional event no no he is not yeah and that’s not a bad thing he’s a great

Player but he’s not a winner and you have Brandon steel Brendon steel he won like fall series events you know like yeah I feel like the last time he won might have been in uh Napa which was not probably won but since then but that

That was a while ago is let’s put it this way he’s a journeyman he had his chance he had his chance Tucson last year and he just he just fell apart so it was a fiveman playoff you know he got unlucky I was hoping he was going to win

Because I really didn’t want the high flyer sorry the iron heads to win but anyway that’s a different story iron heads iron heads it’s it’s it’s kind of a tossup between janichi OK Kazuma and Danny Lee and it’s crazy considering Danny Lee won last year yes that was a

Fluke of a fluke of a fluke I know that was compared to the rest of how he’s played uh you’ll have moments here or there but you know everybody has moments yeah Legion 13 Vincent Vincent’s pretty obvious um you know he’s somebody who we’re going to be seeing battling for

Relegation at the end of the season I think based on how we’ve seen his performance so far he’s got plenty of ball speed plenty of game opportunities I just haven’t seen a course that really works for him yet Majestics Majestics everybody no it’s Westwood Westwood blatantly blatantly Westwood at the

Season men so far uh poter and Stenson are actually not in are actually in the lock zone right now they’re getting points horsefield horsefield has some rounds uh Westwood is just looking like a 52y old yeah he’s he’s past his Prim way past his Prim he should be on the he

Come back and you know there’s a lot young guys on the Asian tour and who knows what’s going to happen between live and the PGA Tour you know like if some sort of an agreement gets made there’ll be a lot of guys chomping at the bit you know I know people are

Saying like oh no one wants to go play and live but like people want to go play and live like they want to go play and live exactly like the PGA Tour fans are saying nobody wants to play on Liv and like same way with like the Liv fans say

Oh none of the guys on if there was an agreement none of the guys on Liv are going to go play on the PGA tour that’s a lie there’s C certain events that guys will go play like John he would have played the waste management in Rivier or

Or the Farmers Open you know he’s a West Coast guy like you know these guys want like DJ he would go play Riviera he lived in La forever you know like these guys they’re they’re going to want to play certain events they’re not going to play all events they’re not goingon to

Hold a card but you know there’s plenty think about the guys outside the top you know 70 this year in the PGA Tour well and it’s going to get really I I don’t want a merger to happen just because it’s made us a whole lot more aware of

Teams like I think if the one thing that’s going to go away it’s probably going to be the teams no it the team coolest part of it all man you really think that yes dude because it gets it gets you fired up more and more because there’s there’s multiple things

Happening okay and and the best part about the teams aspect is that those events when some dude is running away with it running the fudge away from it think back to Adelaide we haven’t had that this year think back to Adelaide last year gu had a 10 shot lead going

Into round three DJ was the closest at Vegas right yeah this year right but but think back to last year’s and while I was talking [ __ ] saying like oh this is not fun you know like Co is running away with it yes but there was still the team

Aspect of it so it keeps there it it just keeps a competition relevant even if there is no competition Sunday going into Sunday here here at at Hong Kong answerer had a five shot lead yeah that’s pretty much in most professional golf settings that’s that’s not a

Guarantee but even if there wasn’t a team he he did his job to [ __ ] the bed and bring other guys in it you know he did he did but you get what I’m saying is that if he had actually gone out there and just shot even par there was

No competition yeah thankful thankfully he pooped the bed to make it more interesting yeah but but you get what I’m saying is that the team aspect makes it more competitive it does and I don’t hate it you know like At first I didn’t like it

It’s it’s grown on me but you know like if you took it away I wouldn’t be like Oh I’m not watching live anymore you know it’s the watch I still enjoy the individual aspect better than the team aspect understand understood and it’s the more relevant one because it’s like

What’s Brooks doing the second oh exactly what’s MCD doing the second what you know and anyway so other teams obviously Ripper Ripper GC it’s it’s it’s odd because it’s leechman right now because Jones actually had a pretty good week and Jones has actually played some pretty good golf so far maybe it’s hores

For courses but Jones has showed up so far this season in a better way leash this one’s going to be a tough one because going into the season you would think it would be Graham it’s McDow not mcdu yeah M MCD mcdo mcdull is it no

Again they’re a good team they’re my number two in my power rankings uh slightly above T slight I feel like they’re like a Crushers light like they’re a type of team that could like always keep it going you know yeah they they are Crushers light in a

Lot of ways they’re a team that is always competitive they might not always Podium but they have the opportunity to not be weighed down by oh we have six guys who shot 20 over today yeah and then the last team toque which I would say it’s between Meo and Pereira Meo did

Show up in Vegas but I feel like since like he had the one good event and he had one good in national series events but other than that he hasn’t really you know he was competitive last season he has not been competitive this season so

Far he’s a good guy like he’s a talent like we saw he almost won the PGA you know like if he didn’t hit the ball in the water which Speaking of if anybody watched full swing that was a douchy douchy speech oh my God Justin Thomas

Has given I never knew they did a PGA Champions dinner I always thought it was just the Masters but I mean every I’m sure I’m sure everything is a champion it’s not as prestig I’m sure at the B at the Bay Hill they they take you in the

Bathroom and give you a sandwich whatever Justin anybody who hasn’t seen it watch it it’s on Netflix Justin Thomas was giv a speech at the PGA and he said I just want to thank M Pereira because it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here right now which you’d be there

Before we get to the international series I asked uh people who follow our Twitter to send over some questions so let’s get to a few of those um Crawford at CAD tweets ideas and suggestions about possible actually this is funny because Jake actually just mentioned it before interesting um entire team

Relegation in the future for live I haven’t seen or heard anyone discuss that topic at all if we get the 15 teams or the number they want it to be at its full potential how can they not do it so Crawford hopefully you watching because Jake just brought that up yeah and

Really for it to actually happen there would have to be a true pyramid system in live golf itself uh where there’s actually a Liv golf minor league that makes sense uh in in the European football system they have it to where they have in England it’s technically

Like seven to eight uh tiers of professional football by the time you get to the very bottom though they’re it’s not really professional football it’s so hard because like what happens right if you’re like John Rah right and you’re stuck with three guys that are horrible and they bring your team down

But Rah comes in fifth place how do you relegate them well you just do because then he goes and and he wins 15 events the next year I know but you’re not going to relegate someone like John Ram you know well so what happens I don’t

Think it’s golf at the end of the day golf is more an individual sport than a team sport so I don’t think someone should go out and like win a bunch and just because the other three guys you know like well and here here’s the thing

Though is that think about it like this and it it does get complicated because players do have ownership stake in teams yeah and the individual standings like they’re not what happens most the time in the in in English football and world world soccer that has promotion

Relegation team X is in the top League team X gets demoted pretty much any player that’s actually good goes they leave yes I know yeah and so that that’s pretty much what happens what they can do is if a team is horrible and you know all four of their guys are in relegation

Spot then that team’s gone and then you know the three guys that win the Asian tour um um the Asian Tour event at the end of the year um what is it called the um the promotion event yes the promotion event those three guys and the winner of

The Asian tour then they get to create their own team you know what I mean that be that’d be pretty cool um it would take quite a lot for that to happen uh uh but yeah that would be pretty cool to see that saying that’s that’s more you

Know realistic than you know someone that has a top 10 record in the standings individually but they came in 13th Place as a team getting relegated you know I mean that’s that’s kind of what I would see I I hope to see something like this one day happen um I

Think because of the ownership aspect of the captains or key players because I know certain key players do have an ownership stake even though they aren’t actually said to have an ownership stake um they would make things very difficult or confusing going forward but it’s you
