Current World No. 1 and Team TaylorMade’s Scottie Scheffler is coming off of a dominant win at Bay Hill and today, he’s talking about how he likes the way that the Spider Tour X Putter lines up to the ball.
He had some pretty incredible stats on the greens which included making his last 23 consecutive putts inside 15 feet, recording nine straight one putts from Saturday to Sunday, and gaining over 4.3 strokes on the field on the greens.
Why did you change to a Malik Potter and yeah I suppose how did you come to that decision um so I had tried a spider during the playoffs last year it was a little bit of a different type of spider than the one I used last week
Um at times last year I struggled lining the ball up in the middle of the face so I Lin the ball up on the toe sometimes and I struggled with a tiny bit of a heel strike and um that was just you know just became kind of my Miss like if
I was fighting a duck Hook off the tea I was fighting a little bit of a he miss with the Putter and uh this spider putter is really easy for me to line up I don’t have to use the line on the ball I line the putter up
Really well and I line up in the middle of the face and pretty much as simple as that um kind of gives me just a really good visual
