Well uh another solid day for you out there just kind of how happy were you with the performance and where your game was yeah really pleased you know started out well Birdie on the first saw a couple of puts going early which is always nice and then uh yeah played
Solid um uh just kind of had to lean on my short game a little at times but uh yeah I was really pleased with the way I played all around you’ve obviously been a here a long time but this is new at least for success for you on the tour
Did you find yourself down the stretch feeling nerves feeling the juices of it or kind of right at home yeah I wouldn’t say nerves just you know I’ve been waiting a long time to be in this spot so it’s uh it’s more I’m excited to be
Here you know I’m trying to make every moment as good as it can be so I’m uh yeah I’m just really excited seemed like you uh knew right away that second shot on 18 probably wasn’t what you wanted it to be how happy were you that you could
You know recover that and and get in with a tie for the 54 I was I was right in between clubs I tried to hit the uh the shoulder one and hit it as hard as I could and yeah I just thinned it but got away with it fortunately had a great lie
In the bunker and uh kind of as soon as I saw that it was in the bunker I knew I’d have a chance to get it up and down and I I hit a really good bunker shot did exactly what I was hoping it would do is this kind of what you’re looking
For at this stage of your career just to put yourself right in contention and try to try to get that win yeah I mean every week everyone out here is trying to do that it’s uh you know that’s why we play that we want to feel those juices you
Want to be there on Sunday um that’s why you put in those hours when nobody’s watching um and I’ve put in a lot of hours and I’m uh I’m pleased I get to see what it’ll be like on Sunday has the belief always been there that you could
You could do this yeah absolutely you know it’s it’s what I do for a living um and I’ve done it for a long time and uh I’ve gotten gradually better at it um and hopefully I can get a little better some more tomorrow what do you think
This night will be like going into tomorrow do you change your routine or anything or do you just try to keep things consistent no no change at all you know it’s uh get to sleep in a little maybe if they uh can go two two
SS off one um but yeah just the same thing um just have a chill morning I’ve got my wife and kids here so you know the kids will take up some time in the morning and then we’ll come out and do what we always do I’m sure they’ve been
Thrilled to to watch you this weekend how much has it helped to have them here with you yeah it’s great they don’t come they don’t come out very much so uh you know it’s always great when they do um they actually made it to Savannah last
Year when I won on the corn tour they were there for that so uh yeah I love playing in front of them you know they’re the reason that I work as hard as I do and uh yeah we’ll try to give him a show tomorrow good luck good luck
