Now if you’ve tried to shower the shaft in every single way possible but you’re still hitting over the top and we’re still not getting that success of strike that you want well this is the video for you we’re going to learn to lower the arm unhinge the wrist and this is how

You start to shower the club in the golf swing consistently for any level any flexibility level you don’t have to feel like you’re in paid and turning inside out now I’ve seen a heck of a lot of comments here on the channel about Alex how do I shallow the club so I’m sure

This tip is going to help so many of you and if you want to get involved that easy subscribe turn the bell and just pop what you need help with down below I am powered by you the viewers so the idea I want you to get in your head here

I’ve got five mini steps you’ve got to follow in order to integrate this into your swing and just know if you’re doing it right and that’s the essential thing so I want you to lose the idea for now that our body has to f fire now I’m not

Saying the body is not important it is but I want us to do it like the pros do it right do it properly I want us to be a little bit more aware of what our arms are doing and our wrists are doing to start down I mean just look at that

Motion there I’m not moving my body but look where my club is working I’m starting to get that club to work on playe so we’re going to really associate it a little bit more with these arms because think about this realistically right we play once a week is Is it

Feasible for us to be like this probably not if you play a little bit more then yes probably is but I know for every golfer that action is going to be Gold Dust step number one where is our Trail arm to our right hand or right arm at

The top of the back swing well it’s around 90 okay and if you look where my thumb’s pointing there it’s pointing over my forearm that’s where we want to be at the top of the back swing let me just bring that to life for you if I put

A club in there and I then twist my arm’s not moved that’s where we want to be at the top of the back swing it’s not here it’s not like this that’s where I want to be okay now moving into Point number two and this is where you’re

Going to see some real bit of oh wow I didn’t realize that now if I address this golf ball we put a line through my shaft I’m going to show you that allowing the arm to drop the elbow to unfold and lose a little bit of RI

Our club just works straight on plane so we got a line running straight through my driver shaft we’re going to turn to the top I’m going to do this one-handed I’m going to allow my right arm to lower as I’m letting it to lower I’m losing a

Bit of fold and losing a bit of wrist look where my club just worked again you can see it was sort of on plane to under plane when I get students to do this that’s the place I want you to get because if you got that horrible habit

Of that we want to get out of it right so let me show you the that again as we start down we want it to close this Gap as we’re doing that want to unfold lose a little bit of wrist then we’re going to be constantly learning to shallow

That club so the process here is this lower it unfold it lose a little bit of wrist lower it unfold it lose a little bit of wrist now if you’re at home this is something you can start to integrate right now you don’t need space and if

You’re at the range by go you can integrate this too okay they’re the first two stages let’s now move into the final three let’s break this motion down together so you know exactly you’re doing this right now so stage number three we’re going to just dive into this

So we’re going to get top that top of the boxing position which is that there and you’re going to stand Square on right now this will feel strange right now but we’re going to bring this all together the first part I want you to really get right and stage number three

And this is what starts your down swing I mean don’t just take my word word for this this is something that Justin Rose top ball Striker has preached for years he talks about lowering lowering here okay before we start out so what we’ve got to really

Focus on is letting our arm drop okay this is stage number three as we’re letting our arm drop if I turn side onto you we’re letting this angle get a little bit bigger we’re not locking it out but we’re letting it get a little bit bigger okay well look where we start

To come into delivery so stage number three we’re learning Square on wrist is in the back swing position lower unhinge lower unfold lower unfold again just to give you an idea of look where this gets me in delivery boom straight into here so that’s stage number three stage

Number four is we’ve just got to understand that our wrist is going to move as we come down from here to somewhere here then an impact it goes all the way through like if you think about this logically look where my wrist starts here and look where it finishes

It’s now flat so at some point in the down swing boof this happens don’t be holding this angle okay so look watch me here watch closely stage just that okay so with that knowledge at stage four let’s put both hands on and again really focus on we’re going to get

That turn to the top we’re going to focus on drop in drop in drop in turn as you’re doing this we’ve got to Now sort of get the coordination of that down swing a little more that is stage number four look at this this is that

Feeling it just feels like the club is just falling into a position I mean look at that flight still in the air with very little effort now I’m going to play the shot back in slowmo so you can see everything that the body was doing in the right sequence now the beauty of

This is you can see that my right arm is dropping slightly my right arm is then losing a little bit of flex so unfolding and my wrist as I’m coming to impact is moving in so let’s think about this logically the idea is in the in the GOL

Swing the arms lift we turn so they’ve got to do the opposite on the way down and I think a lot of the time we simply forget that so if you’re at home right now this is I just go through this I’d practice that practice that face onto it do it with some

Turn look how we just get the club to work on playing every single time and I know this is some unseen footage that you really need in your downswing to seriously improve thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe

  1. Hello 👋 Let’s start the week right team! Thank you for the support as always. Don’t forget you power this channel so let me know what you need help with!

  2. for the new viewers; don't just take Alex's word for it. he's helped me play my best golf, and I'm expecting to keep improving.

  3. This drill is what I needed to help shallow out my downswing better and I'm already seeing consistent results! Thanks Alex!

  4. Alex what happened to the ‘steering wheel ‘ drill you last demonstrated 2 weeks ago for the downswing. This new action Is in complete contrast. However, when you demonstrate the downswing in real time they look identical. 🥴

  5. Great video. The body "firing" nonsense has created more over the top problems than anything else. The Justin Rose approach is the way to go. Don't worry about how to shallow, just move your arms first.

  6. I like your videos, but talk about too many swing thoughts. Most of us high handicap players can’t think of all that.

  7. I practice at work by hitting cardboard and trying to take a divot hitting through the cardboard without going all the way through. I’ve been able to practice all winter using your tips. Really looking forward to taking it to the course. I use a pitching wedge.

  8. Hello Alex your methods are very similar to Chris Ryan and I also watch his videos to as they both have there benefits for my game. I tried your bum out down swing method last week but didn’t work out properly but now that I’ve got my practice net I can do a lot of trial and error methods to see how they’re going to improve my game. Keep up the great work as I do enjoy your videos. Especially on short games

  9. Another great video mate, make soooo much sense and you make it much easier for us…thanks for all the time you put into these videos
