Now since Terell haton joined live golf we really haven’t heard much from him until now now in a recent interview that happened in the last 24 hours he reveals some major flaws in the live golf circuit and I find it really quite interesting and for me this has sparked

Quite a few thoughts on will the format change now the reason why I say this apparently the Proviso of trell but more the fact of John Ram joining Liv golf was that there would be some slight tweaks to the format of Liv golf so the question is does this interview drop a few

Breadcrumbs potentially highlight the significant changes that need to be made to make the live tour better and actually could be one of the things that get more players to join so if we think of Terell Hatton over the last sort of three or four months he has had a very

Very good start to his live golf career he has had an eighth in Mexico a 14th in Las Vegas and 18th in jeda last week so these remarks aren’t coming out of spite because he’s had a poor start to his live golf career these remarks are

Coming from just I guess a genuine point of view of how the circuit could get better and I have to say I agree with part of it but then at the same time I don’t agree with all of it now we know he joined John Ram’s team Legion and uh

They’re being very very steady and I’m actually surprised that John Ram hasn’t got a win I’ll be perfectly honest so let’s get into exactly what Terell haton said because this is the breaking news today within the golf industry and for sure I keep saying this the MS is around

The corner and the framework agreement deadline is around the corner so if you want to keep up to date be sure to subscribe and turn the Bell that way you never miss out so tilll Hatton said this if I’m honest I’m not in love with the shotgun St well that’s the whole

Model I like the idea of everybody being on the golf course at the same time and I think that would still be achievable with a 2T start now what he’s saying there is essentially if you started half the field off 10 half the field off nine in let’s say 8 minute increments you

Would then the last person of the 10th would be followed by the first person off the first and you would almost be all on the course at the same time yes you would maybe have 45 minutes difference between the first group finish and the last but what it does do is free

Up the rest of the facilities but you got to think right the beauty of the model when you watch it and I guess it’s sometimes a little bit confusing is that it’s live in action you know where everybody’s at it’s almost like a bit of a car race if someone makes a birdie

Someone’s got the same amount of holes left you know they make a birdie exactly where they stand you don’t have this Clubhouse lead effect now it goes on further to say this mainly because I don’t like the warmup situation is hard ultimately you want to have a nice warmup do your

Routine and get to the tea as and when you want if I tea off the first or the 10th I will be walking onto the tea minutes before I’m due to go I’d like to get to the putting green just shy of 10 minutes before so usually how the setup

Is on tour let’s just take a standard Tour event you’ve got your driving range The Putting Green is right near the first team now some sometimes at Mages that does change just Logistics wise but as a whole that’s how it works unlike those amst who just rock up straight to

The first te these Pros have a very specific warm-up routine so this is what he goes on further to say so I come straight off the range put for five minutes and then I go to the T and with a shotgun start you have to leave 20

Minutes before your tea time I guess because you could be boogied out 10 15 minutes away on like the 13th hole or something you might be at the furthest point on the golf course so I’m not in love with that side of it maybe it’s

Just learning to deal with it as it’s a new as it’s new experiences but we’ll see what happens and that’s the bit that I see is the ending point there but we will see what happens because you can’t forget this right these big players who are joining now the likes of John Ram

Will have a lot of say because the ball is in their court it’s a big c for Li to get someone like John RAM and to especially after such a good ride of cutright there’s a lot of heat on them there’s a lot of attention towards those

Players so I feel more than ever Liv golf will be open to changing the ideas being flexible to the format to service the big players whereas obviously the PJ tour go nah we’re the biggest we do what we want do you know what I’m kind getting into to say there so it’ll be

Interesting to see over the next three or four weeks how that changes or even maybe it’s the same for this season but in future Seasons it starts to change but as I say if you want to keep up to date with all the breaking news in the

Golf industry and I I can’t keep reiterating this enough there’s going to be so much happening in the next four weeks because the deadline for the framework agreement is fast approaching thanks so much for watching today’s breaking news we finally hear for the first time from till hatan on how he’s

Just not loving the format because he feels it’s affecting his warm-up routine and to be fair though an eighth a 14th and an 18 in jeda last week that is not a bad start

  1. Final round should have 3 groups tee off from 1. First round slots should be determined by season standings. Play better if you want to tee off closer to 1.

  2. Hatton is a good player, not a needle mover. He should be quiet He just got there what a wanker

  3. I think it would be better with the 2 tee start. I enjoy knowing the different holes and how they play. With shotgun I'm just watching the player but have no idea how different holes are playing

  4. Shock horror probe! Sooo what? Aren’t you clasping at news straws and trying to make something out of nothing over such a trivial subject? He’s voicing an opinion, that’s it!

  5. the title is def a bit over stated, he does a good job of pointing out things that are missed in regular start play but Major flaw? come on guys, yall make good enough content to avoid click bait titles

  6. This chat was almost a week ago. It was a casual conversation and hatton just said he not in love with the extra time needed to get to further tees.

BUT He’s not thinking about the product, he’s just thinking about his convenience.

Shotgun starts is like a car race. Like a soccer game. It’s outstanding the way it is. It should not change to save Tyrell 5 min.
    Or to appease traditionalists.

And there is precedent being further from 1 tee. Pebble beach for example: the range is a 15 min walk to tee 1 and a 15 minute car ride out to tee 10. LACC also had the range quite removed. Theres many examples.

If that’s all a guy like Tyrell cannot love, that’s pretty good. Imo.

LIv has proven to be Extremely open with the format but some things have proven great value, such as shotgun starts.

I’m ok with 2 groups off 1 tee but even that slows the event down a bit. I actually would love to see how only 1 group teeing off 1 on Sunday would work.

All I know is I’m about to go watch pga tour now and I’m dreading the hour plus of having to wait for the groups to tee off 1 by 1. It feels like a waste of time. And I know that time will also be increased on the back end.

Tyrell is gonna have to get used to it. Shotgun starts are here to stay just as much as LIv is.

  7. The top 9 players on day 3 don't have this problem (sometimes it's only 6). They all tee off on 1. Especially the two feature groups. They start after everyone else and there's no one on the putting green. So like Koepka said, just play better? I do understand his point about being shuttled to the other side of the course though.
