Let’s Geaux LIVE to the Pistol Pete Maravich Assembly Center to see off the NCAA Defending National Champion Women’s Basketball Team as they head to Greenville, South Carolina to compete in the 2024 SEC tournament there. On this March 6, 2024 Wednesday afternoon – LSU women’s basketball fans assembled with the LSU BRASS BAND, Mike the Tiger, the LSU TIGER GIRLS & Cheerleaders. All SEC Awards were announced with SEC Player of the Year, Angel Reese, upfront and center, looking awesome as always, but quiet, and never asked to speak during the entire event. Very bizarre. Other than that, Haley Van Lith, Flau’jae, Aneesah Morrow & and Samiah Smith  were the spokeswomen for the Lady Tigers - sharing stories, and showing appreciation for those in attendance at the event turn on notifications. Team and on our second team we had big announce some others all right yeah there were more than a couple also all defensive team Angel ree all defense We Believe an should have been on that team yes also for the second straight year we had the Freshman of the Year M [Applause]

Williams and Player of the Year in the Sou conference yeah Angel led the SEC in scoring and rebounding the last two years that has not been done since 1990 that was a long time ago so the impact obviously that that angel has had has been a big one I

Things as you’re going into Conference tournament uh how do you feel about your game been rolling good oh yeah I’ve been roll I’ve been rolling good keep doing what I’ve been doing as as the team wins that’s all I care about talk about how your first year in

Has been you said it’s been a little different um how was it on senior day when all those people stood up and and applauded for you yeah it was awesome day you know senior day is great just to reminisce on the whole College Journey for me and

Angel and uh it was the fans are what made it special and just hearing everybody you know wanting us to come back and supporting us like that a lot and it shows us how much you guys care about us and we love that the one more year chance for coming [Applause]

Also let’s talk to more yeah first team what do you make of all this at 12:30 on the Wednesday all these people coming out to see you guys this is amazing never experienced has OPP for me able to see amazing we love you how do you feel like

Your game’s gotten even better this year you did some amazing things in your previous career but but this year looks like you’ve even stepped it up more yeah um just to prove a lot of my D’s wrong I know that I was told that I couldn’t

Come to the SEC and play but not only am I [Applause] playing jalm radio are here to problem what’s it feel like though as you said people doubt it and you come here your first team all SEC feels like that proves a lot yeah [Applause]

Try to be more employed and be a better leader you know what I’m saying we got a young team so just to be one of the people that have experience on a team that’s what I’m all right great leadership great now we understood that you know

Last year didn’t get as far into the championship maybe as we wanted in the SEC tournament and so even talk about that game maybe just a little bit and again share what you learned from that um just not to be complacent like the SEC is a

Is a great league as you can tell uh once we start slacking teams that like not supposed to beat us can beat us so it’s just about keeping our foot in throttle and just trying to get all the way to that championship game we never want to um play even play in the

Championship under Kim so that’s something that we want to do hopefully we do this this trip yeah always uh SMI you’re [Applause] here go we know we haven’t seen you on the Flor have we forgotten about no Sam been a good leader and a good team talk to us about your rehab we’re
