Ryan trer for your class a pro I’m recording and we’re taking a look at B hostler from the Genesis Invitational in 2024 here nice triangle arms very important let’s see the right hand V is going up the shoulder he’s playing a slightly weaker left hand here probably
Trying to prevent some hooking and see here he’s got his left hand probably at his nose it looks like his ball position let’s see where that ball is placed here let’s put a vertical line off the ball let’s see here let’s go like this okay so his head’s just behind the
Ball and so that means the ball position is about you know one or two ball placements to the left in his stance right and so from there front foot more open than back foot and now let’s take a look and see what’s happening when he actually swings
He does a little bit of a move here where you’re going to see see in a moment that he kind of he kind of like uh moves his uh his left hip to the left a little bit before he’s going to make his real swing so watch this if we go
Put a line on his hip he takes the club back look at this look so at the peak of his swing he’s trying to feel like his hip has gone to the left quite a bit here and I think a lot of amateurs could benefit from that move to prevent the
Swaying okay then once he’s done that move now let’s see what actually happens when he actually makes the uh makes the real swing here so here we go let’s put a sway line we’re going to put a box around his head as usual here see what’s going on with head movement put a
Vertical line off the front foot so let me just get a vertical line over here okay there we go and then let’s just take a look and see what he’s doing with his Arc all right so he starts it back here nicely low and slow going back here okay
And he creates decent amount of width here not too much width but he’s definitely got some width going on there in the swing and then let’s take a look here as he gets a bit further look at that hip just glued to that line even going a little bit left even here and
Again that’s a better move especially when you’re hitting irons at this moment he’s got a great obtuse angle with his left arm and Club it’s a power Type move we do that to be able to uh down hinge to create the speed on the downswing and create the Crescent uh
Cresent Moon right so the the wide to narrow Arc so let’s take a look here as he continues up here to the top and all right so look at this he’s moved quite a bit right to the left with his head look at that left with his hip also
Right and again with an iron I don’t mind that move his left thumb is under the club here at the top versus on the side he’s definitely got his left thumb under the club and now from here let’s take a look at what he does on the down
Swing see he’s going to drop it in nicely here look at this Drop That Elbow in the slot we say great great lag here on the way down and actually you know what’s interesting here is on the way down I mean look at how he’s you know
I’m going to move this line over looks like the camera moves slightly so I’m going to reposition this here for us so we draw that front line off the front foot okay so here on the way down look he gets to the left early you can see
He’s even outside of his shoe wow look at that amazing lag he’s got here on the down swing you can really see how much he’s dropping it in the slot he’s got the elbow in really nice here right he’s working his way to his left side right so he’s definitely doing the wide
To narrow Arc to get some good whip on it and you know he’s got a little bit of an old school motion here with that with that knee outside the foot here for some players out there if your knee hurts this is not a safe move you see how his
His knee is going a little bit outside of his shoe and um he’s definitely getting to his left that you can see from where he started which is definitely the way to go to get the ball first Contact he keeps that club face nicely here you see how square that face
Angle is it’s pointing right at the Target and he’s got the emblem on his glove also going at the Target there and so you know I can see why he’s a consistent player he’s got a nice wide Arc narrow Arc moves his balance works his balance to the left and points that
Face down the line and then good extension through the shot you can see his head stays pretty much where where it is there it’s moved down and left even if anything because of that little bit of knee slide he does and then around here he goes off his back foot to his finish
And you know I mean just very effective motion you know he definitely gets a little bit of the uh old reverse SE style going with that knee slide but it works for him and he gets to his left like I said wi n Arc and good club face
