ABOUT KIRK JUNGE
———————–
Kirk Junge began playing golf at the age of 5. After a successful Junior Golf career, Kirk turned professional in 1986. He has played on the Dakotas Tour, the Teardrop Tour, the South Florida PGA and the SouthWest Ohio PGA where he captured one victory.
Kirk recently proved how amazing the Setup 4 Impact swing is by winning the Senior division of the 2023 United States Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas with a score of 4 under par for 36 holes in difficult conditions, over a top field of USGTF certified golf instructors. He won by six shots, after finishing second over the past two years. It was mainly due to his simplified Setup 4 Impact golf swing and simple set of drills that anybody can learn to play their best possible golf. See results under Senior at https://2023uscup.golfgenius.com/pages/9947992403082241279
In the year 1996, Kirk began to teach the golf swing of Moe Norman, and shortly thereafter taught with the Natural Golf Corporation, where he stayed until 2005. During that time he was one of the top instructors and was responsible for answering over 3000 golf technique questions on the Natural Golf forum. He was a licensed instructor with the Graves Golf Academy from 2014 to 2016. Kirk also holds several other certifications with the United States Golf Teachers Federation, the World Golf Teachers Federation, and is a former PGA of Europe member.
After leaving Natural Golf, Kirk headed to Pforzheim, Germany where he ran his own Golf Academy until 2014.
In 2005, Kirk set his sights on creating a simpler golf swing, which led to the creation of Setup 4 Impact Golf. Using his 20+ years of golf instruction experience and his knowledge of the many different golf methods. Kirk has distilled golf knowledge from some of the best golf instructors in the world to create the Setup 4 Impact golf swing. His instructors included the likes of Wild Bill Melhorn, Jimmy Ballard, Terry Crouch, Artie McNickle, Chuck Hogan and Dave Pelz, and many more.
Kirk’s main goal is to help golfers improve their game as quickly as possible.

Kirk has taught golf for 35 years now. He has taught various golf methods including for Natural Golf Corporation, Single Axis golf, and the Graves Golf Academy. The Setup4Impact golf swing very closely resembles the swing of Bryson DeChambeau who also sets up on his impact plane. Kirk’s number one goal is to help you improve at golf.

So one of my favorite little drills for learning how to set up and swing on a single plane is my lead arm drill um and getting started the lead arm drill is going to be just a half a swing now I’ll use it in my drill one which is even
Shorter than that but this is something I’ll use sometimes it really helps me get a feel for the club moving through impact properly and it’s really important here uh first to make some Swings with it so we’re going to go over a couple points here and I have some new
Videos and new content coming up that you’re not going to want to miss so please hit the Subscribe button below uh to get notified I have a what’s in the bag coming out and then some of my top tips for setting up and swinging on a single plane that’s coming up in the
Next few days um for this video I just wanted to start something really simple For You especially for you guys still up north not able to get out yet but as we get set up just make sure the leading wrist is in an uncocked position and then getting your setup up position and
Then I want you to just make some swings just with a half swing now if you want you can hold above the elbow which I’ll do sometimes and I want you to just get used to seeing that the club’s making contact with the ground and when you get
The feeling what’s really neat with this drill is a lot of people have really good lag going through so much so that they can’t even hit the ground uh or they have trouble hitting the ground and they’ll just top the ball if they try to hit a ball so first we
Really want to get a feel for making contact here with the ground and again I’m just swinging halfway so those following my learning program or who have been to my schools know this is about drill two length and so once we can make some swings and again I feel
Like the club’s going straight back on a single plane and through on that same plane once I see that I can hit the ground so I see the club hit the ground right here I’m going to keep that same distance from the ball and I’m going to
Move up and do the same thing here and just make a swing and you should allow your body while you’re doing this you should allow your body here uh to turn back and turn through so you notice because we’re pulling the club through it seems to be easier to
Turn I’m going to get to the main a main point here in a second why people so many people struggle with golf and those trying to swing on a single plane uh a lot of the issues that they’re having as well and again back and Through and so then once you have success and for some of you might need 20 or 30 balls you might need days to get a feel for being able to do that just make sure that you’re getting set up in this position where the wrist is UN coock the club’s going to point
Underneath the leading arm here and then turn back and through and once you get set up then I want you to go ahead and very lightly put the trailing hand on the club make sure the club’s in that same position and then the same thing turn back and turn through try to make
The same motion a lot of you will notice that it’s that trailing hand that’s causing the issues in the golf swing and what we want to learn how to do is not let the trailing hand mess things up so I do that and then I want to have the same
Feeling here so the right hand’s just going to go along for the ride here again here to here I’ll actually go around the chipping or pitching green and even hit I’ll spend about 10 minutes just hitting really short like short chip short pitches with my lob wedge um a lot uh
Just trying to get the feel of that and then I notice when I put the trailing hand on the club and do the same thing that it feels really really good in some cases I’m doing so well with the leading hand that I think about maybe I
Should do that on the golf course because it really is consistent I want you to play around with this a little bit uh and again if you can’t hit the ground in the right spot or get a rhythm uh a lot of you it’s going to take some time but it’s
Really beneficial to allow this leading arm for most of you your dominant arms over here get this leading arm moving and using the body there to rotate and move the arm through and that’s the main thing it’s the body rotating it through so again subscribe here some great new
Content coming out uh along with my learning program uh I’m going to be in an apps tun and you’re going to want to keep up uh subscribe here any questions or comments pop them in the box below I look forward to helping you play the best golf of your life as quickly as
Possible thanks for watching and I hope you have a great Day

This seems to be a draw bias swing, is that so? If I want to hit a fade do I just hold it off at the end of the turn
