I don’t understand why these announcers want to compare athletes to what the Holy Scriptures say. I heard them say several times that “a Shepherd boy shall lead them”. First it reads that a little child shall lead them, and we also know that The Lord Jesus Christ is referred to as the good shepherd. Knowing where Reed is from, I promise he doesn’t want to be compared to The Lord Jesus Christ because he’s a good ball player. No one compares to our Lord and Saviour, especially any athlete.
