Players fought tooth and nail today at TPC Myrtle Beach, but boys leader Trey Marrion and girls leader Elizabeth Rudisill showed us low scores were out there!
Just staying patient um really felt comfortable coming into this uh tournament I played last year um and I was I really knew what to expect I knew the roughly was going to be pretty Lush um got off to like you said a good start which I think is key in any tournament
Because once you’re behind the eightball you kind of feel a little bit of the pressure to kind of get back on the on track uh and fortunately put in a lot of work lately um so I felt a lot more comfortable with my game and obviously
That led to a lot of birdies and uh just stayed out of trouble which is key around here I mean this course can can BT you real quick if you’re not careful and I’ve been preparing in some tough conditions started to rain a little bit
Out there as well during the day so I felt like uh my preparation was uh was key for for My Success today yeah I mean I definitely think it’s pretty key to keep the ball in the Fairway off the te I mean Fairways are pure so I think if
You have a if you have a shot at the green you can definitely take advantage of some of the easier holes but uh yeah if you if you get out of trouble here on the on the t- shots then it could definitely be a challenge yes on whole
Eight I missed my t- ball well to the right so I decided to tea my driver down lower and play like because of the wind and it really had started picking up at that time and so I just I was uncomfortable in the wind so I teed it
Down lower and started like aiming and aiming more to the left side of the Fairway and everything just started going better and I just hit like a go-to t- shot through the rest of the nine yeah I mean it was a pretty solid around um coming into the day I didn’t know
What the weather was going to be like I knew it was going to be windy kind of cold and possibly some rain so I just tried to stay even Keel out there didn’t really let any bad shots or my emotions get get ahead of me um so yeah I just
Kind of made my way around the course today which was nice
