Good morning everybody Steve Shermer here with your oneandone picks for the 2024 waste manag at Phoenix Open coming off a pretty good week over at Pebble Beach unfortunately my bet on ludvig to win at Pebble did not really come through but uh still collect about two
Million bucks from my oneand done we are off to a good start this season that was what we needed let’s keep it rolling in Phoenix so I’m gonna give you five picks of uh guys I think are pretty good picks for one and done this week and then my
Official pick uh for this tournament so number five I bet him outright but I talked about him a little bit on last night’s betting show how about Kurt kyama for one and done you know he’s just playing really good golf since the beginning of the year he’s gained about one and a half
Strokes te to Green over his last or first couple tournaments here uh this is a very driver heavy golf course there’s a couple other you know comp courses that are he’s had pretty success at like keree and Bay Hill you know I think this is gonna be a good golf course for Kirk
Kyama driving the ball awesome H his iron’s really good really good from between 150 and 200 um I really like him this week I think that’s a nice under the radar oneandone pick uh for you number four I’m going to go back to the well with Adam Scott as a
Potential oneandone pick I just love the way he’s playing you know I mean T20 last week at Pebble could have been a little better maybe if they played the final round but he hit his irons good he’s driving the ball really good I love seeing that coming in a very driver
Heavy golf course and he’s putting really well it putts really well in these overseed surfaces I like Adam Scott as a decent one and done pick as well number three Sam Burns was kind of sold last night with the conversation with uh Jeff fineberg and uh my co-host
Boston kapper you know I mean it was between him and hom this week as far as who I want to go for the top of the board obviously I have a little bit of jilted feelings with Sam Burns but if I think this is going to be a very driver
Heavy week if I think it’s gonna be a little more forgiving because Fairway is a little softer you know Ball’s not going to roll out as much maybe it’s not going to roll into a caus bush like it normally does for Sam Burns and he has a
Pretty good track record here I think he finished top 10 last year putts awesome on these greens one of the best players in this field on over seated surfaces um I think he’s a pretty good oneandone play if you don’t want to bet I’m outright so uh that’s my number three
Pick number two I’ve already used him for oneand done uh Max hom listen last week did not go very well for Max I’m not really sure what happened let’s put him back on a driver heavy Golf Course where he can hit you know between 150
And 200 all day long puts well on these Services he’s got I think a top 10 or two here and I just love the way he’s driving and it’s going to be a little bit dicey Weather colder cooler little bit rain I know a lot of times that
Max’s been good in that those type of weather conditions I like them here I’ve already used him but if you haven’t I think this still is a decent spot because probably next week everybody’s going to use them at Rivier if they hav’t already but number one I know this
Is probably CH about I just want to keep the momentum going for me I had a good result last week I want another good result this week uh I I hate the the outright number on Justin Thomas I understand this G to be very popular
