Welcome to the most listened to golf in the world the fairways of Life show on air online and around the world with the most candid interviews Unforgettable stories taking you beyond the ropes here’s your host New York Times bestselling author bass Adams welcome in the fairways of light show folks
Pleasure to have your company from wherever around the globe you are joining us today there’s a lot of golf going on around the globe we’ll be getting into the details of that we also will be heading down to the cognizant classic and into the media center hearing from tour Pros as they are
Working their way through this morning we’re going to be joined by a couple of touring professionals including a major champion and yesterday Dom I have to tell you yesterday the the stuff we did with Cal our Calia was really connecting so we s out some pieces on social media about Mark
Calovi I was asking him about you know when a player has a huge win massive massive win major championship what do you keep like I remember talking to Larry m remember the arus shirt that he was wearing when he chipped in against Greg Norman and he said yeah yeah I’ve got
The whole suit I’ve got it folded up and I got have a drawer I’m saving it right maybe maybe someday that goes to a Hall of Fame someplace or or the you know golf Museum World Golf Museum the USGA golf house whatever so I said to Cal you
Know where’s your putter I mean what’ you do with it so here’s the clip here’s here’s what happened yesterday here’s how we answered that question all right so it’s got to be a shrine somewhere where do you have the putter from Royal trun what wall is that up
On well here’s a tragic story for you uh I do not have that putter uh I have every other putter that I won a tournament with uh on a club rack uh and back uh in the early 90s I guess it was uh my first wife I had two bags of clubs
My my or Putters my good ones and my kind of donated ones or giveaway for uh uh you know for auctions or Charities or whatever and she says uh somebody wants a putter or whatever I said okay fine you know go to the the bag with the
Crappy Putters in it and she went to the wrong bag and the one that she picked out had a weld mark on the bottom of it and that’s the putter I won the open with it was a a ping answer uh but it had a weld mark on the bottom so if
Anybody’s listening to this and they got an old ping answer with a weld mark on the bottom of it can I have it back please oh my gosh yeah yeah so off it went and and I haven’t somebody wanted like a charity charity event like uh we
Got this used putter you guys exactly yeah yeah no idea that it’s it won the open at at Royal Train in ‘ 89 so of note there was the fact that Cal said my first wife then somewhere all of a sudden fast forward yeah he’s you know Dom he’s with
The judge someplace and judge like uh can you state the reason for for the breakup of this Union judge she gave away the putter that I won the open with at Royal trun granted carry on next case here we go all right so Dom the like I told you the reaction was
Great thank you we had a lot of fun with it what are you what are you thinking about today with your question of the day and you guys can log on to the fairways of Life YouTube channel to weigh in on this what is your question of the day
Today it has to be related to that does it not it is if you had Mark kovi is 198 89 Open Championship putter what would you do with it would you just keep it like in a bag like haha I have this would you put it in your bag and
Actually use the putter or would you just would you give it would you give it back to Cal would you just give it back to Cal there’s also a fourth option which is just Chuck it I some people get very angry at their golf equipment and
They just snap it and throw it in the woods I mean I think there’s a low chance of that happening but you got to put it up there there’s always a guy you know I just saw a story recently that Paul McCartney got back one of his original bass
Guitars that and they listed all these different you know massive hits by The Beatles that he played that can I just say early in the running mat 22% are saying they would put it in their bag and use it instead of give it back to C what horrible horrible people these are
Bad these are bad people terrible anyway so Paul McCartney got his back maybe maybe Cal can get his putter back with that uh delighted to Welcome to the program Justin low playing on the PGA tour 70 PGA Tour starts to his credit as you had six top 10s including a TI for
Third this past week in Mexico’s best finish on the PJ tour 121 starts in the corn fairy tour as well nine top 10 out there he is a multiple time winner amongst the professional ranks as he makes his way uh through this game pleasure to welcome into the show Justin
How you doing are you getting ready to go out today I am Matt yeah thanks for having me and what’s going on today it’s pleasure have you by the way are you you have a proam or you just practicing yeah yeah I have a proam it’s
Not until 240 or something like that so yeah I’ll just uh I’ll go join my wife and daughter for breakfast here soon and then uh just kind of take it easy this morning and start practicing sometime mid to late morning what happened with your tie for third at Mexico how would you describe
It um it’s a good question exciting yet kind of disappointing in the end um yeah it was it was fun just kind of I was kind of making a run I had it to 15 under uh with three holes to go and I thought if I can 16 and 17 are very
Difficult holes if I could somehow get through those two unscathed and maybe make something happen on 18 18’s a very reachable par five um maybe post a number close to that 17 number uh maybe possibly that 18 number and make the make the leaders think about it a little
Bit coming down but uh unfortunately wasn’t able to do that but uh a T3 is uh never a bad week on the PJ tour no that that’s what I want to ask you about because a T3 on the PJ tour obviously is never a bad week but I wonder if it also
Represents in your mind and in your emotions an Ascension and is do you view it that way that this is a path that you’re on and each time you get closer to that Golden Ring it’s you’re learning something and yes sooner or later you’re going to break through on that what are your
Thoughts yeah absolutely it’s um kind of the way my whole career has gone for sure um I always kind of have kind of some not low periods but just kind of flat lines a little bit and then um some huge spikes every now and then and it’s
Kind of been that way ever since I was in high school and college and kind of through amateur golf and um it’s definitely been that way through uh professional golf as as well so yeah hopefully looking to just build off of it and just kind of go from there Justin
Went to Malone University he in fact was the first ballot Hall of Fame member for Malone University the 2010 NAIA Champion as well Justin you strike me when I W I’ve watched you play over the years that you you strike me as having this grittiness about you and and I mean this
Respectfully but there’s you you play almost as if to my eyes as a fan that you have like a chip on your shoulder how would you describe your disposition uh yeah I probably a little bit of a chip on the shoulder type of player um I like yeah I just I’m not
Your prototypical um like I never played any a gas growing up I didn’t play uh I played mostly local junior golf and Regional junior golf I played a couple National events but nothing c i i was I I quite honestly I wasn’t very good um in junior golf and then
Um like I went to college and I thought I was okay quickly learned I wasn’t wasn’t very good there either and I just kind of kept working at it and uh yeah just kind of put my nose to the Grind Zone grindstone type of thing and um
Eventually somehow made it out on the PJ tour so it just took a little longer than I thought it would that that somehow making it out on the PGA tour was obviously fired by a passion a commitment within yourself that you were going to make it when did you in your
Heart and mind say regardless of of how I compare to competitors at this particular time in my life this is the path that I want I am going to play in the PGA Tour um it did I probably decided somewhere when I was like 15 16 17 um it
It was always um kind of my dad and dream to for us for me to make it to the PJ tour and kind of share that but uh um unfortunately I kind of shared it by myself but I mean uh yeah it was like it was always what I
Really wanted to do and it it just kind of became more of a possibility the older I got which was kind of nice um and the better I played but uh yeah it was just um something that I always wanted to do and something that my dad and I shared
Kind of as a dream growing up so but what changed when you said you you you just Rec counted for as that as a junior you didn’t you weren’t as good as as the top juniors in college you discovered that you weren’t playing as well as the
Top players and then you end up being a top player and and to paraphrase your coach that he’s never seen a kid as as devoted as you were to the game and I’m not talking about the passion I’m not talking about the devotion you’ve explained that I’m talking about what
Changed did you all of a sudden become a better ball Striker did your short game come alive what was the difference um a little bit of both just kind of everything really um mentally I improved a lot um still working on that dayto day and um physically uh ball striking got better
Um I finally started working with a swing coach and um he’s been my his name is Mike Emy he’s out of Canton Ohio um he’s been enormous in help helping me and just further my career and whatnot and um yeah I’ve just gotten a little bit better every year and I’ve been able
To um just kind of keep climbing and keep just having steady improvements and really just just trying to improve every day really you talk about Mike uh being from Canton Ohio you were born in akan Ohio what’s it like for you from the standpoint of you know never forgetting
Where you’re from type of situation but what’s it like for you to have a place that you’re from that you know’s always got your back oh it’s just kind of that Northeast Ohio mentality just uh um it’s just kind of like whatever you like people from Northeast Ohio we
Work for what we get and um it’s it’s just a blue collar mentality kind of put your put your head down and get to work type of thing and um yeah it’s it’s just I I love it there I I I love the the
Mentality of it I mean um one of my my Idols growing up was LeBron James he’s kind of the same way um he’s obviously reached the very close to the very top of his career and whatnot and uh that’s on the basketball court and off the basketball
Court as well with his business ventures but um no it’s just it’s it’s just kind of that Northeast Ohio Cleveland akan mentality and just very gritty very um I don’t really know how to describe it really but it’s it’s something special and it’s something that uh something that you’re just kind
Of born with really very very cool indeed uh you mentioned that your I guess your wife and your little girl are with you traveling how old your daughter if I may uh she’s 14 months yeah oh oh she’s a tin she’s an infant all right so
How are you guys I was gonna ask you how are you doing with the balance of Life what’s it like traveling with the family with you how was your sleep when you’re on the road uh I so fortunately I sleep very well my wife is a saint and she um she’s the one
Who gets up most of the nights um and whatnot when uh our daughter is acting fussy and whatnot but uh my my schedule has changed quite a bit on the road um it’s a lot more structured now uh we all kind of get up at the same time we all
Eat breakfast at the same time uh our daughter goes to bed around 700 p.m. so uh it’s kind of it’s not necessarily lights out but it’s uh be very quiet after 7 p.m. so it’s a lot of watching uh Netflix or streaming something on our iPads and watching it
Together with the airpods and stuff like that so but I got a lot of questions lot of questions for Justin low as we continue here on the fairways of Life show I saw him in the preview screen in our studio here when we played that clip
From Mark Ali about his wife giving away major championship winning putter so I know what his reaction was I saw what he was doing I want to ask him about that reaction when we come back I want to ask him about his Inspirations there’s a lot
More I want to learn and we’re going to enjoy learning about Justin low as we continue on this Wednesday the fairways of Life show is presented by the PGA TOUR Superstore they’re the number one golf retailer from coast to coast these big beautiful stores that they keep on

Golf vacation experience just log on to Bo golf.com Welcome back to Fairways of Life show Justin laow is our guest so don what are you hearing on your question of the day tell the world what it was and what what what are we getting for return so far so we talked yesterday with Mark cavia the 1989 open champion and he he
Revealed that the putter that won that tournament is gone he doesn’t know where it is he was given away so it’s out there in the world so my question is if you had that putter what would you do with it and I got to be honest I gotta
Be honest the answers are embarrassing okay you folks are embarrassing yourselves anybody that doesn’t say give it back to Cal I mean he was pleading on the show yesterday this is embarrassing I’ve got 14% saying they’re just going to keep it they’re not even going to use it they’re
Just going to keep it 10% are going to put it in their bag and use it and 5% 5% of the people are going to Chuck it what what is wrong with you only 71% said they would give it back to Cal this I’ll be honest today’s
Question of the day was kind of a joke right the answer should be 100% give it back to Cal what are we talking about here I’m this is embarrassing I’m embarrassed Justin low is Our Guest yes okay Justin low you you heard all the the different
Options is it true that a putter that wins a major championship is like a magic wand would you pick that magic wand up would you use it or would you give it back to maral ca you’re on the clock uh I’d probably use it for like a
Round or two to see if I like it but then if I don’t like it I’d probably give it back to him but like make him work for it maybe like send him some if I knew him like send him some pictures of like it being held Ransom or
Something like that and uh maybe get some get some of his team in on it and have like have them holding it or something like that just to make him man him think I was watching your reaction as we played that clip when he said that his
First wife which still amuses me that he he framed it that way gave it away to to a charity because she took the putter from the bag that he described as quote the crappy Putters she took it from the wrong bag what if this happened to Justin laow what would be the ramifications
Uh I don’t think a divorce would be it but um uh my wife doesn’t really touch my clubs uh I kind of have free rain of our basement at home and I’ve turned it into my golf collection golf shop as uh my buddies call it um uh some of them
Call it Golf Galaxy or PJ tour super stores when they walk in um but uh no I I don’t know there would be there would be a talk happening afterwards I don’t know how the talk would go but um I I get I I haven’t really won yet with
A putter so maybe maybe soon as I win I can have my own special rack of Putters but um uh yeah it would be a very very interesting situation if that happen so what is your relationship with your Putters or putter is are you one that
Believes in in in trust in a long-term relationship or is it fickle uh it’s a little bit of both um I’ve had my I have my fair share of Putters um I probably have uh ballpark I probably have 70 at home wow maybe uh but I only have like five or
10 maybe a rotation of five that I use uh I I I I I’m I’m rare I use a pxg putter so I have a A variation of the same putter that I kind of go back and forth between maybe two or three of them
Um but as soon as I find one I try and stick it out with that one as long as I can Justin low is our guest you you mentioned LeBron before kind of as you know you said Northeast Ohio grit and something you’re
Born with to kind of look up to but I am curious about who did did you feel Were Your Heroes your inspiration and maybe even mentors to you as you were coming up and making your way uh yeah um starting with Heroes um uh I would say tiger growing up just
Watching the game just watching him play and making him look making it look so easy it was just kind of I I think we’re all kind of like most of the PJ tour players out here we’re all kind kind of like not haunted by that but like we’re
All kind of chasing that feeling of having it look and feel so easy and this game is just the complete opposite of that um inspiration wise um kind of my dad and my brother um uh for those that don’t know they passed away when I was 15 um just
They’re kind of always with me and uh it’s it’s just uh just kind of my inspiration that kind of keeps me going and then uh mentors I would probably say um my coach at Malone um going through uh going through my college Years and
Even after I mean he was um his name is Ken Highland he’s in his 52nd year of coaching I believe um wow at Malone University he’s been there I I don’t know why they haven’t kicked him out yet honestly but um uh no he’s uh he’s been
Great um he gave me a chance when really kind of no one else would and um yeah I’m just forever thankful for him so when when you mentioned your dad and you mentioned your brother and and how they’re an inspiration to you and they’re with you
All the time when that happened at 15 years old how Justin did it not destroy you and instead you’ve been able to channel it as an inspiration that you carry with you for the rest of your life uh um I don’t know it’s a good question honestly just uh like I I could
Have very well let it let it kind of destroy me and take me down a path of unknown really even though it was basically a path of unknown um in in the long run but uh yeah it was just I I just wanted to just kind of Honor them and just
Uh play for them as much as I can and um just I know never not that I’d ever forget them but just never forget why I just kind of why I go through life and why I um why I play the game of golf and
Why I I strive to be a good person and strive to be a a good a good father a good husband and a good golfer and just kind of go from there really um yeah in in your example Justin and otherwise and people that are struggling whatever they’re struggling
With you know many times with veterans that are dealing with PTSD etc etc are you convinced do you believe that golf can be in and of itself a form of therapy 100% it can for me it was um I just those kind of formative years like
When um when the accident happened um in they p uh I definitely use golf is therapy I would just go to the golf course or the range and just I I I wasn’t even working on anything really um I was just kind of there and enjoying it and just trying
To um just kind of go through it and find the joy in it and everything and it was it my my dad introduced me to the game so that’s something I’ll always have uh for sure just with him and whatnot so um I like I always have that
Passion with him and then my brother was slowly getting into it uh he had a lot of other interests um but he was slowly getting into it so I I always think what he’d be doing right now and um he he maybe he’d be catting for me maybe he’d
Be um traveling with us who knows um he was just kind of kind of a free spirit uh uh so actually who knows what he would be doing but um no it’s it was it was definitely therapeutic for me just um just kind of going through it and
Finding the enjoyment of the game through it as you started to make your March through the ranks of professional golf now having reached the highest tier of the PGA Tour when did you get one of these Pinch Me moments maybe it was with your hero
Tiger Woods I don’t know what it was but when did you have something where you either said to yourself or you whispered to the spirits of your dad and your brother and brought it back to your wife and said you can’t believe what happened to me
Today um I’ve had a couple of them just like just being in contention like I’ve I’ve slept on a 54 hole lead um just a couple things like that uh I I have one Tiger Wood story that he doesn’t even know he’s probably involved
In um it was last year in Cabo um I was just playing a practice around and he drove up on one of the old he designed the golf course so he was out guess checking out the golf course and whatnot and uh I I I was like well should I go meet
Him or should I go practice and I was like I’ll go practice more he’ll appreciate that and I go to like this just impossibly hard uh Chip Shot like kind of it’s down in a Swale and it’s the Green’s like maybe six or seven feet above my head and it’s
Just an impossible shot and I blade this I Blade the 60 Dee maybe 40 yards over my cat’s head my caddy looks at me and he goes what’s that all about and I was like look to your right and he’s like oh yeah completely get it now as he’s
Chasing the ball down the Fairway so um yeah I bladed I bladed a chip shot in front of tiger and um he probably doesn’t even realize it but I was um yeah so it was just kind of the pinch me moment like I like I didn’t realize it was him at
First he kind of he has an aura about him when he steps out um onto the golf course which was pretty cool but um yeah I mean just a cool little story very cool indeed hey you are now right in the mix on the swing five I guess the general question is
Because I haven’t really asked you in this in this form yet how excited are you about how everything is going for you right now in your life and your golf um it is exciting I think it’s um I think I’m trending for sure and I think
Um yeah I have a great opportunity to uh hopefully get in one of the designated events uh next week for um for Arnold Palmer’s tournament and um yeah I’m I’m really excited about the opportunity and hopefully I can uh hopefully I can stay patient and delivered very cool now these
Opportunities uh present themselves because of the entirety of what you have built around Justin low the PGA Tour professional that includes your sponsorships this is our way of saying thank you to you for coming on and sharing part of your life and your time
With us so that you can say thank you to them the people that help you do it so who have you aligned yourself with uh yeah uh pxg uh Lighthouse Foods level Weare uh XMS Investments out of Chicago uh emblem Source out of um out of Dallas
They make uh all the patches that you see in uh Major League Baseball NCAA football um uh who else play yellow for kids um Black Hills AI out of um Idaho um yeah I I’ve got a tremendous team around me and um some really good sponsors so I’m very
Thankful for sure yeah that is extremely cool the last thing I want to ask you Justin is that it is my personal belief that when you get to this level you become literally your own brand you become the Justin lower brand which actually sounds like a high-end Cloe or
Something like that but I’m curious what do you want the brand just and low to represent to the world H never really thought about that Um I just um I want to represent kind of resiliency and um just kind of never giving up really and um that’s something I never have I I’ve thought about giving up multiple times but um just uh surr you know surround yourself with good people I’m I have a tremendous support
System and um I’m I’m incredibly thankful every day for them um probably the main one is my wife uh Janice she is incredible um what she does on and off the golf course um and in my life and kind of keeping keeping my life uh relatively stress
Free even though I get pretty stressed out at times but uh no it’s just it’s I yeah I just want to be known as just a good person in the end so there was little doubt about that my friend we wish you the very very best this week we
Know that you are getting closer and closer to that breakthrough victory in the PGA Tour and we hoping that it happens very very soon thank you for your time Justin yeah thank you Matt appreciate it all right we’ll be back with more the fairways of Life show and

Bizarre to me there’s been no official announcement now we have the video of him hitting shots he’s there with everybody else there’s his swing that swing that he never wanted to go fully to the top because he kind of felt like he could get the club stuck behind him
And by going what looks like you know three quarters it’s up there plenty he could come through with more force with his entire body but see that’s plenty but how and why we haven’t heard an official announcement I don’t know it just seems somewhat bizarre I just have to be
Honest with you but in the overnight hours that video you’re watching was from Carter’s golf but Josh Carpenter put out what you see on the left side of your screen that’s Anthony Kim’s name right next to everybody else then Joy chakar Ravari who was uh the former
Media manager for the Indian PGA Tour put out the shot that’s on the right and that is John Rah apparently saying hello to Anthony Kim or vice versa which is interesting to me because John Rah would have been 17 when Anthony Kim walked away from the game he
Would have been 15 the last time Anthony Kim Won on tour he would have been 13 when AK was Central to Team USA winning the Ryder Cup at Valhalla so I’m just curious how much he actually knows about Anthony Kim or will get to know so that
Will all unfold as far as air times go the let’s start with uh the PGA Tour I’ll be hosting live coverage of the cognizant classic for PGA Tour live on ESPN plus we’ll get to a second the golf channel coverage starts Thursday and Friday at 2 pm all these times are
Eastern Saturday and Sunday it is split between Golf Channel in NBC as to the A4 mentioned ESPN plus uh Thursday through Sunday we start at 6:45 a.m. each day with the four different channels as for PGA Tour radio which can be heard on the PGA tour app on pgatour.com as well as
National satellite service SiriusXM if you subscribe Thursday and Friday from noon time Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm the LPGA Tour continuing their Asian swing starts tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Golf Channel tonight at 9:30 p.m uh right here is where you can see that coverage and then
Finally for Liv golf it took a little work to to Fig figure out exactly where you can catch the coverage but starting Friday so you’re talking about Thursday overnight into Friday after midnight at 3:15 a.m. that opening round on the CW is when you can catch that coverage
Because I know a lot of people are curious about what Anthony Kim does we are delighted right now to be joined by a major Champion as well Britney lincom that from the LPGA two-time major champion at that eight LPGA Tour wins to her credit she won of course the 09 and
15 what’s now called the Chevron Championship 387 starts in the LPGA Tour 65 top 10 along the way six times she represented the United States in Soul hype Cup teams from 2007 through 2017 uh just announced that she will be among Stacy Lewis Vice captains for the
Solheim cup which will be on home soil in September 13th to 15th at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville Virginia she is a mom now of two little girls and I think she’s joining us she is Stars and cars Britney is joining us in the car right now how have you been
I’m great thank you so much for having me how old are the girls now one and four it’s hard to believe is that harder than playing in touring professionally with two and then trying to do it all together watch out now did you you know
That Stacy was what wanted you to be a Vice Captain for her for this Soul hiim cup or did it come as a surprise you complete shock you know I feel like I had mentioned it a while ago like how do you get your name kind of even in the
Being mentioned and uh so we never talked about it again and then in Bradon a few weeks ago uh she came to me after I was walking out of the locker room with our girls we had just picked our girls up and she said hey would you like
To be an assistant and I thought I thought she meant like down on the road somewhere and I was like yeah of course and then I was like wait no did you just ask me like to be this year and then it was so funny so uh we had a moment it
Was great I got chills just super honored to be a part of the team now when and I get that it’s that it is an honor associated with and all of that but there’s also got to be a reason for it behind it so if you
Can put your put yourself in the shoes of Stacy Lewis for a second why did she pick you it’s a great question I think to make peanut butter and jellies but I’m not sure um no I think just you know six years being on solheim teams and um
You know I bleed red white and blue so I love this country I love to be a part I love to help any way I can and um just to have more experience around you know with Paula and myself being assistant captains now it’s just gonna you know
Elevate the team even more you know if I can help even one player you know get through some emotions you know that first t- shot is nerve-wracking it’s it’s the worst um so if I could help one player you know just kind of step over that hurdle and and make them feel a
Little bit more comfortable than I feel like I did my job so it’s going to be really exciting I mean it’s a cliche question to ask you but are the nerves at a solheim cup different than nerves that you feel any place else and this is
This here I am talking to a multiple time major Champion absolutely because I think um you know week after week you know I I play for myself I miss a three-footer you know that’s just money out of my pocket no big deal but in a solheim you know you’re representing your country
There are you know hundreds of thousands of people watching you and and rooting for you so um if you miss that three-footer you know you’ve let your team down your partner down you let your country down which is horrible so um definitely a little bit more nerves and
Uh it but it’s it’s the greatest it’s the greatest feeling in the world not asking you to relay anything that you would keep in a team room or keep private I am interested though that if there is this opportunity and you know what’s going to happen with
Where they want you because of your position they want you because of what you’ve done they want you uh to inspire them in some way is there a go-to for you Britney that you look at it and say you know what I would want to tell them
This I think it’s just going to be a moment to moment you know whether it’s you know reflecting back to my first soim which was overseas and Sher seow telling me I’m probably going to throw up on the first tea which I felt like I could have um or you know just even
Though last ones getting a little bit more experience and and being a little bit calmer you know helping my partner maybe uh you know get through the nerves but just it’s just going to come and go with whatever needs to be done and and I’m just excited to to be there and to
Try to help as much as I can let me let me ask the question in a different way because I do think that there’s there’s a a pearl lying in here somewhere in your solheim cup experience when you had an opportunity either to play with or brush up against
In some of official capacity or just as a guest a legend of the game how in in what way did it help you to perform better in your solheim cup experiences well I think Julie iner was probably the best Captain I had and just you know she tells you how it is there’s
No sugar coating anything and uh which I think that’s great I think you know telling people you know hey you’re gonna be nervous you’ve been here before in this position you can do it you know you got this just kind of being you know just giving them that little extra
Confidence um you know all these players have been on tour most have been on tour a long time or have played college uh had careers already so they they’ve already been in this position and luckily you know soim was just last year so we’re only a year removed um from the
Last one so it’s going to be very helpful I think for us to already have these girls because it’ll probably be very similar the team I I would imagine um so they’ve already played last year so I think just you know getting that under their belt you know a tie and and
Now we can just go out and try to win that cup yeah it I am curious about that just go out and try to win that cup do you sense it I don’t even know if it’s a fair way to ask this but do you sense a
Change in mentality or I guess the question would be what’s different this time I I think it’s just you know like I said playing last year and already coming together and knowing like they got like a little bit of a taste of of what it feels like to you know represent
Your country and come together as um just kind of them like hey that party after and we win and we have the cup nothing like it so let’s just go out you know you can only win your match so definitely tell them you know just go focus on your
Match don’t look at the leaderboard don’t worry about what else is happening luckily we’re on American soil so we’re going to have a lot of fans you know backing us which is be very very helpful um and and just go out and try to win your point that’s all you can do Britney
Obviously you are you were a fierce competitor and yet over your back right shoulder it in the car seat it looks like that’s an elephant or something what what’s behind you that is a dinosaur oh a dinosaur yep my four-year-old think she’s a dinosaur if you ask her what
She’s gonna be when she grows up she will tell you a paleontologist so that’s where we’re at that’s a great physician paleontologist she’s still riding a car seat as I was saying I know go ahead Britney Lindo major Champion mom with a dinosaur in the car
Seat behind her we’ll be back with more right after this I guess hello world huh and with one subtle hello tiger began an amazing and Unthinkable [Applause] career I’ve done it for 20 years now with with Bridgestone allows me to play an aggressive style around the greens

You’re what why most people go to the gym is so that they can like have muscles and you know be strong and be healthy and a lot of the reason why they struggle to play golf is their body doesn’t move properly for them to be able to hit a golfball and when you’re
Training for golf it’s a little bit different because you’re focused more on flexibility and mobility and being uh strong in motion when you’re able to kind of have a warm-up and have a workout routine and kind of gradually build up to where you’re training your body to move properly yeah you’re going

And he was talking about wanting to save his putter that he won the open with at Royal trun but his first wife gave it away by accident to a charity so we’re trying to launch this campaign it’s I know I know we’re trying to launch this
Campaign to see if we can get Cals putter back to him wherever it has disappeared to it has a weld mark on the bottom apparently so we can help find this this ping answer putter have you ever saved anything is are there whether it be from your major or solheim or any
Of your vast experience that you’ve said no this is special over here this this doesn’t get to be played with like the dinosaur no similar situation you know I grew up playing with my two older brothers so anytime I had a club that I wasn’t using anymore and it was just in
A golf bag at home they basically took that as free game to be able to use so the hybrid that I hit the shot with in ‘ 09 is in one of my brother’s bags or now in their closet somewhere so I don’t have anything you know I feel like for a
Minute you know you save a hole in one ball but eventually those get lost too so I I don’t have anything how do we tap into these stories the the hybrid you used to get home and two that secured your Victory you’re talking about correct is in a brother’s house I don’t
I don’t they don’t even play anymore so it’s not even getting it probably has cobwebs on it this is another club that should be in a museum some place we had another interesting conversation yesterday uh and if you could pull up the the graphic I’d like to get Britney’s reaction to this we
Were we were talking to Cal it was actually before he came on with us but we were talking about the skills that go into being a major champion and kind of hacking together a list that go ahead you can you could throw it in there
Andrew so that she can see it as well and I’ll I’ll explain it for people listening to us in the radio side major championship qualities we had listed as mental strength clutch Factor putting prowess ball Striking Distance and then recent form what’s your reaction to that
List I think it’s great I think you know being a longer hitter um I don’t feel like has ever been a problem you know even if you hit it in the rough you know you still have a wedge onto the green no big deal I would say mental strength is
Probably the hardest and that that’s what I’ve been dealing with probably the last four years uh it’s prior to kids it seemed to come naturally pretty easy um but now like I don’t know what happens that’s basically what I’ve been working on the last two years and still trying
To work on with some different sports psychologists trying to figure out how to get my brain back to wanting to win and be aggressive because I feel like I have all the shots I feel ball striking no problem you know putting we’re we’re working on some things but it’s getting
It’s close um but it’s the more mental toughness that um just seems to break down these days so we need we need to work on that but I love that that’s uh that’s a great list what when you talk about the the mental toughness if if I could kind of just change
The terminology for a second relative to comparison with kids I’m going to call it Focus if if I may do you find that the kids provide you competitively when you’re out there between the ropes better focus or is there that distraction that maybe one of them scraped the knee or isn’t feeling very
Well or is you know the the logistics of child care and all the rest are something that you have to deal with yeah there’s definitely guilt for sure you know especially being home going to try to practice you know I see Lexi Thompson or Charlie Hall posting
These videos you know oops I spent six hours on the driving range I think Lexi posted recently and I was like man I asked my husband if I could go putt for an hour and he was so busy at work that I could couldn’t even go do that so
There’s definitely you know I don’t get as much time as I used to um you know on the road you know if the girls are out and they’re watching me or during around obviously there’s a lot of commotion happening so it’s but it’s it’s it’s the
Flip side I want them out there I love having them out there I want them to see what Mommy does and uh what I do for a living so it’s it’s a it’s it’s a tossup really but um you know that it’s just it is what it is and I wouldn’t change it
For the world and you know we’re going to go out this year and see what I what I can do and bring them along as much as I can and it was just it is what it is I love it because you have this Angelic Sunburst over your left shoulder now as
You’re talking to us talking about this and what’s the other way uh so I guess the the the celebration of the obvious question then is you’ve won big big events again multiple time major Champion how does any of that even compare to being a mom oh gosh I mean it it’s so different
I would say it doesn’t because I I have always wanted to be a mom and it’s just the coolest thing ever to you know have your kid run to you when you pick them from school or whatever it may be um but just to be able to you know hit that
Hybrid into the 18th green to win a major e’re they’re both two different spectrums but they’re they’re both so cool and I love I’m so honored to have gotten to do both and doing both you know it’s such a blessing the whole thing is cool I love the fact that this
Is a slice of life because you just dropped the kids off and we’re talking to you still in the car fresh from dropping them off hey before we let you go today though I do want to ask you about your sponsors and who you’ve aligned yourself with who’s helping you do your
Thing yeah I’ve got um a few these days which is is a blessing um I got my new hat sponsor it’s an engineering company I’ve got sparms my sleeves Abacus is my wonderful clothing Dex Imaging is a a local company uh Titus FootJoy you know helping me with the shoe ball and glove
You know um you know I thought you know I was kind of going out this would be my last year and then I just got this hat sponsor so it’s I I’ve just blown away and it’s truly amazing to to have these people still believing in me and and I’m
Going to go out and try to represent them represent them the best I can that’s very very cool indeed how much you going to be out trying to represent them as best you can what how much you going to be able to play well with my
New hat sponsor I’m going to have to play more so um it’s going to be a pretty full season you know I’m skipping um all of Asia and then the first uh California event because we have the local um Val Spar event in town and I like going to that they have some
Outings that I do with them and so I’ll te it up again in Arizona but after that it’s pretty much a full schedule so it’s it’s going to be fun all the whole family com to Arizona the whole family will come to Chevron um so it’s G to be great Britney you’re
Awesome it is great catching up with you congrats with all the sponsors and the new hat sponsor and the two kids doing well we’re very proud of you and very excited about what lies in store thank you so much absolute Delight to see you okay Dom give us one final
Update on I forget how you phrase it the extremely disappointing results that you’re getting from your question of the day well we only have 40 seconds left but it’s embarrassing I’ve got 19% of the people that are just going to keep Cals putter 5% are going to put it in
Their bag and use it and 7% are going to Chuck it with 30 seconds left in the show only only 70% say they’re gonna keep Cals or give Cal’s putter back this is this is embarrassing folks embarrassing there you go well at least there’s 70% that said they’ll give it
Back to Mark Al thank you so much for your company folks looking forward to sharing it again on Monday a lot going on in the world of golf in the coming days there is no doubt about that no doubt too that we love having you guys
Join us and thanks to our guests today till we are together again be well goodbye for Now
