The PGA TOUR heads to Florida this week for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches at PGA National. Rory McIlroy returns to the field before a busy Florida stretch that will also include starts at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and THE PLAYERS Championship. This will be his 10th start at PGA National where he’s claimed victory once in 2012 (holding off Tiger Woods) and finished second in 2014. Chris Kirk returns this week and looks to successfully defend his title – something that hasn’t been done here since Jack Nicklaus in 1977-78. Kirk claimed victory at The Sentry to open 2024 and has been consistently strong at PGA National since 2021 with a T25 and a T7 preceding the win. Rickie Fowler will also be in Florida this week. The nearby Jupiter resident won at PGA National in 2017 and was the runner up in 2019. Others to look out for are Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, Shane Lowry and Justin Rose.

Make the cut we know that will Ricky make the cut next on the te from South Korea our 2020 Champion sunj M oh yeah Ricky second at the 10th just 193 he doesn’t seem over enthused but maybe he should be what a shot from fou almost the albatross oh it’s a laser

From Fowler right out of the gate underneath that cut line for now and how about that a stressfree tap in Eagle for R so with the sun off the water back into your face get quickly to 200 under par on his round now at 13 I mean this just never leaves his

Target Beautiful closeup right here so for Ricky Eagle at 10 birdie at 13 Here Comes Ricky Fowler only 140 couple downhill you just want to keep this thing dry to tell you the truth that’s a really solid play anything left of this pin p high or a little further is a good

Shot as we take you to 17 this is Ricky Fowler for birdie never a doubt on that one been all around the hole today Ricky Fowler gets himself to four under on the wings of an eagle and two birdies so far in his efforts we should be able to see him

Sling one out there right to left yeah this is hammered right up the middle draw very nice swing from Ricky don’t think you want to bite off that corner Man Slightly below the player’s feet Ricky Fowler second at 18 nice [Applause] Rick just a little safety

Shot start this right of the flag and flight it over that bunker I mean there’s lots going on here yeah you’re going to see a lot of guys pass the flag just like this and it’s not ripping back like some greens you hit it past it with wedge like that and

It rips back this Bermuda does not do that how about that woohoo Ricky now the putter is hot Ricky fers is now tied for 12 five under and the red numbers were all from today continue this now his third at the par five third where we just left our Marquee

Group and he’d had another one Ricky to try to keep this bogey free round going deciding to go low with like a six or seven iron there that was very interesting inside 7 and 1/2 ft to keep it bogey free Steve big momentum putt right here oh oh yes Ricky Fowler feeling

It couple tough holes ahead though and how about that from Ricky Fowler Saucy there we go okay meanwhile Ricky really fighting to try to avoid even two of the last three and he’ll give himself at least a putt at it and avoid some slippage at the

End putt here little hop on it couple bounces yeah it’s quite unfortunate now can Ricky finish off and cap a great round sending driver more back into the wind little off the right beautiful strike right there these sanfield divot can make you look silly Fly ball yeah and that is that’s

Acceptable from there people don’t know cuz they didn’t see it from the Fairway but you can you can hit that about 60 yards if you’re not careful just give it a chance Rick just give it a chance give it a chance tried turning turned a little too

Late 67’s a really good score I think he would have liked to go lower after turning in 31 but put himself back into contention and this is his 12th round of a 67 or better at PGA National which is the most of any player since the tournament

Started in 2007 started at this location I should say so Ricky Fowler with a superb Friday thanks for watching the PJ Tour on YouTube to watch more click here to subscribe click here
