The PGA TOUR heads to Florida this week for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches at PGA National. Rory McIlroy returns to the field before a busy Florida stretch that will also include starts at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and THE PLAYERS Championship. This will be his 10th start at PGA National where he’s claimed victory once in 2012 (holding off Tiger Woods) and finished second in 2014. Chris Kirk returns this week and looks to successfully defend his title – something that hasn’t been done here since Jack Nicklaus in 1977-78. Kirk claimed victory at The Sentry to open 2024 and has been consistently strong at PGA National since 2021 with a T25 and a T7 preceding the win. Rickie Fowler will also be in Florida this week. The nearby Jupiter resident won at PGA National in 2017 and was the runner up in 2019. Others to look out for are Matt Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, Shane Lowry and Justin Rose.

Wanting to get to know more about him and they like him already that went a long long way it sure did third shot Jake knp at the third boy was that well done made it look uh pretty easy there to me it looks shorter than 4 10

In but uh that’s just the camera angle sometimes they look a little longer and sometimes they look a little shorter that’s going to be a challenging shot wow def pry lost the club one hot pull that’s exactly he’s trying to do really well executed got to be a little lucky a

Little fortunate to judge the pace correctly how about that up and down there just no way to get this ball close here Jake gap’s going to try it though our trackman technology is provided by track provided by Titus the number one ball in golf easy for a jake knp now

And he’s put in really good position here make it two about 9 and 1/2 ft bang walks it in Jake knap is on the prow here at PGA National nine iron from nap flighted a little bit down really good line here I would say so would he all over it his nap

And Well Done by Jake knap just the ninth Birdie on the six hole today 186 mph ball speed what the effortless yeah that’s a line off the tea I don’t really see maybe Susie sees that I don’t see that line difficult to get it to that left hole location with this Breeze

You know what I don’t want to be just known as someone who bombs it you I want to be known as someone that has a good short game a good iron play and he’s showing that this is a course that really isn’t about driving you know

Driving it helps but it’s all about iron play and controlling those distances so nap with a two- Putt birie and now I think we’ve got this technical problem fixed let’s check in with Jake in the media conference room yesterday 189 wow and he’s not even looking at it no he’s not

339 yards to carry that bunker Owen and it just can’t didn’t clear it h he’s got the wedge out so he’s just laying it up the left hand side he possibly it could have gone for the green had he been maybe five yards further back back

Yeah four five pie is over this bunker hold it against that wind that’s going to push it left spin now yeah beautifully played great [Applause] touch y from Mexico to Florida nap time continues and he’s showing no signs of slowing down he’s within three with a 66
