Senate Pushes for Opening of Minnesota Businesses

On a divided 39-28 vote, the Senate passed a bill intending to send a message to Governor Tim Walz to open up Minnesota businesses that can demonstrate the ability to operate safely. Sponsored by Senator Andrew Mathews, R-Milaca, the bill, SF 4511, would require a business to follow health safety guidelines put forward by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health.
