That can immediately improve your leg work your footwork your impact position your entire through swing let’s have a look at this I use this drill personally there’s not that many drills out there I mean there is but not many that actually help a lot of people and this is a this
Is a fantastic this is the when I use this drill and I look at my swing it’s about the only time my right leg looks a little bit like Fred Couples only when I’m doing the drill so I’m using this drill a lot these days and and really
Improving the way that my hips work and also the way that we start to grip the ground pull back which can really help your speed here so this gives you a feeling of your legs having to pull back and underneath you which helps us really
Get the left hip to extend up and we start to use the ground more effectively so PE right how pure does that look maoy left couples in the right look at the leg work look how their bodies move through the ball the opposite of early extending speed this is just such a
Powerful move look at the V created here through the legs this is one of the magic moves now mooy does it great doesn’t he’s quite level here with the shoulders 44 degrees very level not putting much stress in his back as we look at couples here really really got
Some side Bend there hasn’t he and we don’t expect and I don’t expect a lot of people to get themselves into that position or even try but have a look at mroy now the reason this move is so good the drill I’m to show you it’s so basic
It can really help you feel this move see how the legs are pull back and up this will get your left hip moving in a way that really picks up your Club head speed and we’re seeing this with so many players now what we’re going to have a
Look at is one of the amors here coming up the the move that I like here that much is this is incredible from John Ram what a golf swing I love this guy’s golf swing not enough spoken about about this guy’s swing same thing isn’t it keeping
The head out but getting that V in the legs I’m not going to go through every play they’re just so meaning to do it right so the closer you can get yourself to some of these positions the better you’re going to hit the golf ball now
When we look at the amers and we move through the golf ball here we can see that the right leg goes out a long way now the shoulder turn is not really that much difference to mroy we got 42° or 43° and around here we got around around
The same so I’m not expecting people to bend but um what we’re looking at doing is stopping the the legs and the body to move in a way so we can pick up speed and get Freer and more Dynamic through the golf ball now this is a simple drill
As we get further on in the video we’re going to have a listen to what Tommy FW says Justin Rose and I’m going to show you something a little bit more advanced let’s get stuck into this first basic drill it’s going to improve everybody right so what we do it’s basic but you
Want basic right you want be able to connect to certain feelings so this is how we do it right you get two golf balls take your address position your normal address position with the outside golf ball the inside golf ball is a club head length away from the outside golf
Ball now you’re going to hit the inside golf ball here right so take your dress position okay and what you do is you concentrate you’re going to look at the inside golf ball hit that and then listen and feel to what what your body’s telling you and what it’s doing all
Right now you might hit it clean you might not but it’s also good for your balance and your coordination and it really helps keep your legs back it really stops early extension and I mean how many people I don’t know leave your comments underneath because if you’re struggling with early extension
It’s a big problem and there’s around 80 90% of golf is in the position where they’re extending early hips moving out causing sometimes to get them under plane but flipping over plane getting stuck and when we see them extending with they’re seeing them with really level shoulders here and so what this
Drill does when it pulls your legs back it gives you a little bit more neck tilt and side Bend and this is an important thing to be able to plow through a golf shot and still have a little bit of side bit I don’t want anybody right down here
And hurting your back we don’t need that but we need to be able to get ourselves in a comfortable end position with a little bit of Bend here so that we’re not having us getting pulled off the shot what an amazing drill get stuck into it and if you are a person that
Films this with your mobile phone have a look at that because you’re going to see some amazing effects the chain reactions through the golf ball so people right what I love about this drill is it forces you to keep your legs back it forces you to stay in posture and it
Helps shallow the plane but it supplies you such a great feel to hit the next shot and it’s I just love looking at my footwork when I’m working on this drill and it is making a dent and it’s really helping improve me guys if you want me

Can’t wait to show you some of the drills and the things that these top players say later in the video so guys let’s have a look look at two moves here two moves that complement each other so that we can start at the ball further and start to move through
The ball more effectively the first move we’re going to look at here is when we get to the top of the golf swing when we turn and pivot nicely to the top turn the shoulders big turn the shoulder underneath your chin what we’re going to look at is just a slight lowering with
Your chest a slight lowering with with your body not much all right we’re going to just move everything your whole body your lead leg your knee your head your chest everything just slightly down and then we’re going to turn and extend with a really high chest when we
Pivot correctly and we get the turns and the tilts in the right position the first move what we’re looking at doing is getting some movement a little bit of movement down with your knee your chest and your head just lowering your body now once you’ve relocated and recentered
We’ve got to now extend and push back up and get this left side of your body this left chest or the left side of your chest your left Peck to extend up now pound for pound Justin Thomas is one of the longest hitters in the world and he
Has a move through the golf ball that’s absolutely amazing we’re going to have a look at that now Dr Robert Neil from worldclass golf.com who’s analyzed 550 pj2 Pros has amazing video here I’m going to put a link to this video in the description box underneath it’s from the
PGA tour right let’s have a look now what Justin Thomas does before we have a look at an amazing drill we can all improve our ball striking plus our distance so people right have a look at this one of the most important moves in the downswing and what Dr Neil came up
With with the analyst was that the lead here the left side really extending very quickly in the latter part of the downswing pushing off the left side extending up really lifts the handle up and increases the club head speed but not just that it improves the path and
The all round shape of your swing have a look at Tiger Woods one of the longest hitters also that we saw out there really watching that lad part of that left hip extending and just by improving this a little bit we can all improve our distance let’s have also have a listen
To what Tommy Fleetwood says about his ball striking and Justin Rose coming up but how do we feel this move and get it into our swings all right now this is going to get that leg or that lead hip to move up there’s a pressure point on
The inside of this right foot when we start to extend effectively we start to get this knee at impact it can bend here but it can start to straighten a little bit more and we got a pressure point on the inside of this foot we’ve got some
Really good side Bend through the golf ball so in effect what we’re doing because it’s moving so fast you want to apply this with practice Wings we’re getting heavy and then we’re getting light we’re getting heavy and then we’re getting light and you’ll feel there’s two pressure points here you can feel
One on the inside of your lead foot in this direction and there’s a pressure point on the inside of this and when you start to move on those two areas of your feet you’re going to get some really really good bend so we’re going to get
Heavy and we’re going to get light when we see people with too much forward bend we see them coming out with the right leg the right hip and this is really problem it’s the extension that actually helps things stay back it’s the forward bend that gets things moving out and we’re early
Extending and you can simply apply lots of practice swings here up the top get down and then up and hold that position speed it up hit some shots people this is a great way to improve your leg work your Club head speed stop early extension so guys let’s have a listen to
What Tommy Fleetwood has to say I like that I’ve seen a lot of tour players do on the Range they take the left foot off in the back swing and they they try and stamp or step into the shot people have talked about walking through the shot sometimes but I particularly like I’ve
Seen a lot of guys take it back stamp in and they and they swing from there and that then you can’t you can’t fall back you have to step into the shot get get your weight on that left side hit the ball first create that nice flush divot
And get that flight that you want so let’s give it a go left leg up stamp love it I’m really trying to feel like I get my chest down in transition that for me is so important it keeps my ass back which is important because as soon as I do this I’m now
Going to right Bend so for me from the top I’m just trying to feel like I’m reflexing as much as I can and obviously the back the down swing happens so quickly that it’s imperceivable to even see the effect of that feel um but also what it gives me is the ability then
To jump and turn on the way through so guys right let’s have a look at perhaps a little bit of an easier way to feel this move we we heard Tommy talk about what he’s seen on tour and what guys are working on I believe for a lot of the
Club players out there they plow into the ground if they’re trying that or the div would be too deep so let’s have a look at a similar move that’s probably a little bit easier for most of us out there cuz really what we’re trying to do
Is create a feel here to use your body more effectively and the ground right now so what we’re going to do is we’re going to lift up the lead heel not the entire foot we’re going to push back down into that heel and then we’re going
To push back up and get the chest up okay lift up the heel push down chest up lift up the heel push down chest up and if your head lifts up a little bit on the back swing just a bit won’t matter too much we’re just trying to create a
Feel here to move down and get back up so let’s go up to the top of the Swing we’re going to lift the heel up and move down and then extend back up so as long as you get if you can get fast enough to get your chest up then you’re doing well
If you’re going to just push down and your way down in here well that’s not going to help you you want to make it realistic and you want to make the movement so that it helps and then you can start to use your body really effectively okay lift up the heel push
Down then up with your chest let’s give it a go this is the probably the best way do a rehearsal lift up your heel here push down and then extend back up and then just applying lots of swings heavy and light getting a little bit of movement getting that first initial
Movement and then pushing back up put it into your practice put it on the list keep working at it keep doing prac swings and you’ll slowly get a feel for this it’s much better working on that than working on the opposite and coming out of the shot and early extending
