All right welcome back to another Brian Bros TV video we got a special guest today and today we’re GNA run through how to hit every single chip or every single shot around the green except for the standard normal chip because when I get with Jamie Wilson who is our special

Guest today we hit some of the dumbest shots around the green the dumbest spinni shots you can imagine the shots that you should never try on the golf course so we’re going to be going through some Spinners we’re going to be going through flop shots we’re going through hooks slices I mean

The bump and run Spinners I don’t know I honestly got no idea the direction this video is going to go tie Spinners yes but just buckle up it’s going to be a good one every single chip except for the normal one yeah you ready let’s do

It let’s do it let’s rock I think first we should just get the the normal hands check where we just hit some some floaty Spinners we’ll hit some of those we’ll walk through what we’re feeling how we do it cuz we both do it a little bit

Different from there we’re just going to see wherever the the wherever our mind takes us that’s where we’re going to go so right here it’s about a 30 yard shot what I’m feeling in this shot is is really lazy really slow really cuppy with the wrist basically I would say

Releasing the club but just kind of throwing at it and then trying to find good contact bottoming out same spot yeah well right next to the pitch mark right next to the pitch mark not really close to the hole but if we’re being honest you just want the ball to

Stop as close to the pitch mark cuz then when they’re people watching they go ooh ah whether it ends up close to the hole or not I guess really doesn’t matter for this video of course all right one more and we’ll hit we’ll see Jamie hit a

Couple yeah all right getting better all right so that’s the that’s the lazy floaty little little spinner Jamie what what what are you feeling during this I feel the same thing the long slow really easy no not a lot of tension on the arms I like to feel my toe down just

So I can like sweep through it and use all the grooves um all all the grooves the groes all the grooves and an important part for me growing up that I felt was getting here and a really close like holding the arms close to you on the follow through just generates a lot

Of spin that’s like my normal full swing where I go where gr Grant Horvat has told me where I go I go back this way and then like when I’m hitting the spinner you know like that that’s this is my normal shot when I’m hitting a

Full one so maybe that’s why I hit the the shot that you’re talking about well so well yeah maybe just translates all right let’s see just a standard just a little one yeah there you go little sauce little sauce that’s these greens are lightning that’s going to come off the

Green the greens today are rolling a 17 prob watch watch that one come all the way off the green and it’s gone and it is entirely gone it’s still going look at all that backspin it’s still rolling back wall another one little floaty yeah there we go just right next

To the oh same shot twice oh and it’s it’s it’s still coming yeah those are going to end up right next to each other the uh the important thing to remember here is when we hit these shots we’re only going to strike a handful of them how we really want to um

There are going to be some M hits that don’t spin but when we you catch it perfect it’s going to be phenomenal now let’s let’s let’s take it more upstairs let’s go same same basic principle upstairs same same level of softness and for me the only difference that I’m

Making in that is I just I instead of having the hands preset here I just preset the hands back a little bit further and and in order for it to go up I’m also feeling a little less so like less hinge and and holding the angle

This one I’m hitting I’m basically I’m I feel like I’m holding it a little bit more on the way back so you’ll see the club pointed a little bit more this way and but I’m still releasing and throwing the hands at it so upstairs preset the hands back a little

Bit same nice and slow tempo that might go in oh quality again probably better than if I were just to hit a normal shot I’m going to hit one more I’m going to try and make it I’m going to try and make it and again you’ll see there’s not a lot

Of digging and turf interaction on these there’s going to be just very little brushing I’m trying to kind of cut the legs out from underneath it that one floated nice yeah oh very nice look at that so the high and so I’m you see there’s not a lot of turf

Interaction a lot of the golf balls right on those bottom two grooves there you go so that’s that one you said hands back West and I like that but tiger used to say the hands dictated how high you hit it so a low low shot he’d have low hands medium and a high

High finish so when I’m hitting the high one with a lot of spin I try to get a high hand soft finish um let’s see if we’s see if I can do it really get it nice shot yeah I mean quality not a ton of spin I missed that

One a touch but you know the right principle just for just for a good high one that doesn’t rip back necessarily but it kind of just stops in place it’s good for you know covering a lot um you’re good one more sorry oh one more

Shot oh yeah we we need one more because what what if it goes in what if oh that’s nice oh oh it did go in all right the thing is they’re not gonna ble ju go just you you let’s just go get out of the hole I mean it l that’s a first

Shot we’re still walking and we’ll show you where the ball Mark was of course when we go face on of course see I mean that that’s that’s just kind of how the story works ballmark for wo right here ball and hole Nice Shot wzy you’re

One chip in I’ve got zero all right the next one the next one we’re going to walk through is a personal favorite of mine and mine it’s a personal favorite of of James blade over there we’re going to go cut spin we’re going to go lots

Lots of cut spin I mean lots of cut spin Lots just I’m talking this is where you need to go for your your the weekend warrior swing just slice across that thing and feel good doing it it’s a shot that most most won’t ever use on a golf

Course but we have but I mean I have in in tournament play I’ve done it oh yeah you want me to go first yeah you you go first I like to I like to follow this honestly these are the things it starts turning into a little bit of a circus

Act with some of these shots so uh get ready you want to explain this one you want to no no you you explain this one I already explained it I’m just going straight over the top and I’m trying to banana slice it it’s basically what I do

I mean I I go toe down I stand really close to it and I swing I mean out towards West and across this way my divot will be pointed somewhere over there and this is a shot you’ve got to hit with 100% conviction let’s

See oh I missed it it’s got a little bit but not really let’s try another one but the the divot the divots pointing this way that’s about where I said it was when we’re hitting the cut spinner we just we just go aggressively over the top and and really like through the ball

I’m trying to like I’m trying to like help it kind of I usually will like recoil it a little bit this way me too usually and and just get that thing working this way and it’s really really a fun one especially when you hit it right oh I love that I like that

One yeah that’s good see the greens they got a little sand on them but that’s a good you can see just just taking up so much of the golf ball and Swinging like look at this D this divot is pointing quite literally over 45Β° left of Target

And oh woozy Woo is going to give us a slice that’s a good one oh oh yes yes with the banana yeah I mean kind of what he was saying you can see I don’t know maybe in the sunlight a gosh a lot of golf ball taken off by the

Grooves so you you you’ve seen that one now let’s we’re going to go low banana slice now wo we’re going low banana slice cut spinner you got we’re we’re talking real steep real narrow real Diggy and and just having that ball coming off low and slicey so we got ball

In on the back of the stance we got Club face fairly Square because we are going to be just chopping down and across it oh yeah yeah like that yeah I mean that thing land it landed 15 ft left of the hole about yep and uh low SCE spinner

Woozy now give us one of yours this actually look at the look at the divot don’t put it the divot this divot is pointing uh again a good 60Β° left that is that’s a good one nothing that we’re really going through this video is going to be helpful

Whatsoever this channel just exists to show what our normal day-to-day stuff looks like and when when Jamie and I are together like this is actually what our normal day-to-day stuff looks like we just go around the greens and we hit ridiculous shots and again they more often than not they

Turn out wildly usable like very a very reasonable shot of so let’s see let’s see your low slice okay same thing stand close to it wildely left exit oh yeah low and slyy wrong wrong PIN I hit a little harder but no that’s fair yeah so as you can see motion completely

Ridiculous just completely ridiculous you know I guess while we’re here well here it should we just hit some of the tie Spinners absolutely KCK Alpha he gave me some uh some tips on this shot I’m going to use your ball here Jamie yeah I’ve got this is one we got the

Ball we got the ball way back I mean this one is is is literally just you see this angle right here this is straight up straight down hit just like nicking the back of the ball on the way down this thing is going to skirt it’s going

To come out hot it’s going to out low it’s never going to leave now on to to one of Jam’s personal favorites my personal this is the Tie spinner this is one we are going to have the ball way back KCK alphab B uh was was teaching me the shot a few

Years back I think we where were we I don’t know I honestly don’t remember either I wasn’t there somewhere Malaysia maybe and and and he he hits it he hits it it looks like it’s a little bit more in control cuz it’s like this oh it’s amazing his is like really good my

Variation on it is a little more extreme a little more ridiculous and I’m talking Club just going straight up straight down back of the ball let’s just get in here you can probably just hear it as it exits yeah that’s a nice oh that’s a

Nice one that is nice all right let’s go let’s go down the line just so you can see what it looks like from back there again is it a useful shot no not really not at all but is it fun to hit absolutely it is

Yeah I think we I think we can do a little better than that that was just you can hear the ball skipping I’m going to try and hit one close I got to hit a little softer just a little softer no no Jamie you know

What we just got to do it again that is unfortun we just got to do it again unfortunately that was unfortunate oh oh it hits the green just flows up a little bit again yeah that was nice wildly not practical shot lot of fun lot of fun to hit Jamie let’s see

Can you do any better than that yeah you walk through walk through how you hit it I imagine it’s it’s very Sim it’s literally just ball back I mean I literally I literally get the ball like two cups outside of my back foot I’m just and I’m leaning straight forward oh

This you you get a little you get a little bit more there oh yeah and I just Cho straight down the back I don’t want that ball popping up I want it literally just skir in the ground let’s see this sounds fun I love this I hit a little

Hard it’s okay because they they don’t see where that ball ends up but down the line the down the line shot it better be good it should be the down the line shot needs to be hands I’ve ever seen and he I mean go in the hole

There’s no way he just chipped in again Prett you good oh oh yeah it’s nice there’s no there’s no follow through right and and like I said if you’re a superintendent watching this and you’re like oh wow I mean that just goes right no one was ever here G nope

It’s gone no one was ever here it’s gone yeah that’s that is my favorite shot I practice it a lot I’ve gotten to a point where I’m almost confident using it in tournament play have you pulled it out in the tournament yet I’ve done it a

Couple times have you see I still that’s one I still haven’t pulled off like 100% in the tournament I’ve gotten like close to it like when it’s up against the collar or what and I got a lot of green to work with I’ve gotten close but I

Haven’t just fully soldit it it’s one in a situation like this where you have you know dormant Bermuda where it’s super grainy but the ball will skid through it really well um why not just put it from there that’s a lot of grass to cover I

Mean that’s but but doing this right 12 yard but but doing this feels more reasonable I mean no no but it feels more fun absolutely way more fun all right what are we going to do next what are we going to do next all right next J

Jamie wants to do the high hookie soft one I don’t really have it in my repertoire but I mean I’m here to try my guess is the hands are going to be really low I mean here we are I mean we went we went down down below the level

Of the green all right J Jamie I don’t hit the high hookie soft one so what I’m going to do perfect what I’m going to do is I’m going to hit it first yeah and you let me know what I’m doing wrong and

How I can fix it but I’m going to go aim I’m going to aim my brain is telling me cuz I do hit a hook but it’s it’s usually like a a hard hook I’m going to go hands back I’m going to go Club face relatively Square to gently open St I’m

Going extremely close stance and I’m going I’m going basically going to keep the club out here to basically keep the club face looking kind of at me yeah and then I’m going to drop the hands and I’m going to scoop hook it just like this absolutely I love

That yeah like that’s so nice it’s it’s it’s going to spin oh going to spin in place which is why I like it a lot it’s not going to oh I like that yeah why don’t I hit that more often it’s the high can I do it again do you mind if I

Do it again J do it again oh yes that’s just a oh in place in place which we like I like I like that oh go in go in and it’s more this is a more practical golf shot for sure another yeah yeah kind of here here’s

Your ball cuz I I mean I got to I got to rock this field cuz usually when I’m doing the hook I’ll do this and I go like like my follow through on the hook is wild here we go we’re going back hands we’re going forward ball position we’re going aim 65 yards

Right oh go in that’s in yeah it is that’s in yep I’m I’m I’m a quick learner Jamie I’m a quick learn I like how you said you were going to hit it close stance and then really like hands back like I’m literally trying to feel here that my hands are back and

When I get here I’m just closing that face down so it uses all the so when you get right here basically you feel like your hands are stay in the same spot backwards and you’re going this way yeah and just letting the club dictate the

Jaw so hands get down to your leg stay in the same spot do this and if you catch it right it’ll use a lot of the grooves and have a ton of Spin and it’s it’s straight it’s not cut spin it’s straight spin which is nice my ball just

Land that last one I hit landed two feet right of the hole basically and it the oh that’s that’s nice just stops death which is nice you want to hit another one I hit like four would you I’m going to hit all yeah I’ll hit these all right

Let’s see if can you make one I mean I made one of four I don’t know I made one of four and I don’t even hit the shot ah I’m trying to get I mean it’s going to land and just kind of stop and if you if you notice every single shot

We’ve hit we’re talking about how the ball spins because oh just in place that’s nice yeah that’s real nice it’s on really tight lies it’s hard to get the low point and the bounce to cooperate sometimes with that shot I usually do it on fluffier grass like

This a little bit fluffier you can kind of just let the club drop underneath that you got room to play with that’s in oh it no just missed that’s a good shot high quality so as Willie mudball once said there’s two ways to stop a ball you can do it with

Height or with spin we’ve gone through all the various spin options I think right now let’s just let’s just dive straight into a flop shot let’s give them some height but obviously we’re going to go over the top L we’re going to go excessive height we’re going to go

Full swings we’re going to we’re talking like it’s got It’s got yes it’s got a it’s got a clear like a six-story building let me get the one that you made oh thank you this is nice so we’ve each made one we’re one one to one I got

All the golf balls okay so up next flop shot not your normal flop shot not not the one that you’re going to use on the golf course because again when we do this when we do this we go um ridiculous this right here is just the excessively excessively High flop shot

Lean back just lean back hands back get to the ball and then speed up throw it in the air just just slingshot it straight up if it ends up close to the hole great if it doesn’t at least it’s a fun shot to go down swinging

With that’s oh go in the hole go in the hole oh yeah that’s the one there so anyway that’s the shot never really to try I guess Jordan Speed had to do it in the was that the rider cup when he hit the ball that went like a 100 yards up

In the air but that was off of a massive UPS slope like a 9 hour or something he hit like 5T oh yeah yeah that one was unbel I mean I don’t even know how he hit that forward it was like a 90Β° angle yeah he hit like

An eight IR unbelievable okay so let’s let’s see your highball let’s see if you can get it closer than that and then let’s move on to highball yeah we’re going to see we’re going to see James hit the highball we’ll move on to an excessive hook oh that’s nice that’s

Nice yeah there’s a lot of Hang Time there uh I think you’re closer Jamie I think you’re right also a lot of golf ball left on my club face oh my gosh now my ball if you can see that there’s a lot there yikes Jamie my ball landed closer

Mine landed here I just want the record to show yeah yours landed here yes but anyway we’re going to move on to one of my favorites it’s a hook it’s usually for me it’s more practical and not practical on the golf course but practical out here messing around to go

Back to like 40 or 50 yards cuz then you can really see the ball hooking and uh let’s go back by the car let’s do it let’s just have some fun all right this one’s the hook aiming up way right setting the hands back getting the club face pretty right and

I’m going to take it back here and and when I get back to the ball I’m literally going to feel like I’m just throwing it over my left shoulder to get that hook spin on it aiming up pretty much just inside the cart here going to that red

Flag swinging way right hands set back and just throw it left yeah that’s spins left 6 7even ft not not a terrible shot again common theme practical whatsoever but if there is a little nugget the reason I do all of this stuff it’s basically like a hands check like if I

Can do all of this other stuff and I’ve got like a good awareness of where my hands are in space in connection to my club face and where the club is bottoming out with low hands high hands wacky finishes and all that stuff then

When I go to set up to hit the normal one I should have way more awareness absolutely there so Jamie let’s see let let’s see your hook walk walk it through do you same thing do you just throw it over your left shoulder yeah just high

High and left I mean I’m not as good at the hook um I try to stand far away from it too you know low and rounded uh and probably don’t aim as far right low and rounded I like that you oh that’s right at it it’s hooking

Left of the flag a little deep high quality shot I’m just not as good at the hook but I mean that ball actually you can’t I don’t even know if the camera can see it that ball started about 3 ft right of the hole and we’re only 30 yard

Away from the hole and it landed left of the flag so we’re talking like almost 10 ft of draw from this short of range is is pretty impressive I’m just um I’m feeding for a freaking cut spinner a cut here we go this is this is an exclusive

This is we’re going back to the cut spinner we’re going back to it my favorite here it is it’s for you Jamie oh my oh that’s nice that’s really nice you know what I’m you know what I want to do what we’re mid video we were about like

10 minutes into this thing and I haven’t hit a normal shot I just want to see if I can hit probably a good idea a a normal shot at the flag maybe I should do that just a normal one and you can’t I mean that might be my farthest

Ball I’ve it’s just a it’s just a normal it’s just what happens all right let’s see do you got a normal shot left in you do can I hit a normal one I don’t know yeah see you’re a golfer I’m a YouTuber that’s the difference Jamie Wilson professional golfer Wesley Bryan PJ tour

Winner all right thank you guys for watching if you like this if you like some of that I I’m actually not even going to call instructional stuff because I feel like most of that stuff would absolutely destruct your game uh but anyway it’s it’s fun doing

It go out and mess around just with different like start positions with your hands low hands high hands um different swing pass and figure out what gets you the best contact and then just slowly bleed that into like your your normal arsenal of of like standard variety

Shots if you liked it go ahead and drop a like subscribe let us know what what else do you want to see I mean I I’m I’m kind of a one-trick pony with the 58 around the greens so if there’s anything else that you want to see let us know

That Jamie thank you for joining us yeah thanks for having me that was fun always fun we’re going to have his social stuff in the description and all seriousness Jamie has some of the best hands I’ve ever seen very few people can get here and alter swing path and and and hand

Position and and swing speeds and all that stuff and still be able to make good contact Jamie happens to be one of the select for you uh till next time see you bye by the way look look at those two shots I couldn’t hit to I couldn’t hit

Two normal ones that close right here if yeah if my if my if my life depended on it big time situation in tournament I’d be just as good off hitting that shot um

  1. I’d disagree on this not being useful. Messing around like this is not only fun. But really helps develop feel. As well as an understanding of how to manipulate ball flight, spin, etc.

  2. I recently learned after a decade or more of golf, that these shots are all about the chest, the club and chest need to move together to take the hands out of it, and rotate. Its a mini full shot

  3. This is awesome wes love these types of videos
Hey wes would you go back into a full face of grooves for wedges

  4. I hope to someday come play Solina… I want Wesley to chirp me for no apparent reason. It's a weird goal but I need this in my life.

  5. Low banana slice cut spinner is what I call my "impress your friends" shot. I play mine with an open face and it comes out around 27* launch will usually take a HUGE first hop then stop dead or back up a bit. Perfect for that into the wind 30-40 yarder.

  6. Just got me a 64* wedge that is now my GO TOO down here in SSI, I have become a master of the spin. All thanks to watching Wedgley Bryan. Thanks big dawg.

  7. Practicing different techniques with the hands has always opened up a level of creativity for me on the course. Difference is, I need to go under and around trees often lol. But I practiced a low hook runner to go around a bunker in case I couldn't go over and that one actually helped me save a par from under a pine tree.
