Liverpool the carabel cup final at Wembley uh Chelsea nil Liverpool nil at the end of full time and then obviously Liverpool getting a very last minute winner by Virgil Van djk from the corner uh to LIF the carabal cup title um yes all right I will go into it straight

Away and talk about my feelings of the game um I felt Chelsea should have won it to be quite Frank that’s really it um Chelsea were not clinical enough quite Chelsea typical fashion this season to uh have chances and not make and not put

Them in the back of the net um there was some really good goalkeeping by Liverpool’s kellia has to be said but overall just I I specific first half Liverpool had domination Chelsea probably still had the best chance of Raheem Sterling um that time fell yeah

And then it’s a it’s a there’s a good save obviously from keny but then there’s also apparently a block in the followup from Endo someone was saying I’ve actually not gone back to watch the highlights couldn’t bring it bring myself to do it to be quite honest um

But from the second half Chelsea came out a lot better like Liverpool still had chances but it felt like we got Cole Palmer a lot more on the ball gusto down the right flank as well was really really good him and him and Gusto Palmer and Gusto really felt like they’ built a

Connection down there um and had many and created many chances for Chelsea in kungu had a chance gallaga had several chances K Palmer himself had a chance um it just didn’t end up in the back of the net and so you think going into the end of fulltime you think okay look not

Great Charles haven’t scored but we’ll go in with that momentum for the second half or not second half sorry for extra time extra time whistle blows and it’s like Chelsea have gone straight away let’s get to pens let’s just stop what we were doing stop all mum I know we had

To bring on eventually um calabur we moved Gusto Out To the Left Flank left back but then we just lost all of his effect Effectiveness down the right Co Palmer went into the middle to to kind of um help with nonim wakei coming on because he can only really play right

Wing and so we just lost all of our effect Effectiveness down there um had to bring off the likes of Gallagher just due to being tired and then really it felt like from the second half onwards Liverpool were only going to get a goal from a set piece um and they did which

Eventually got ruled off offside and they did again in extra time uh and it really felt like as long as we just didn’t give Liverpool a chance from a corner or set piece we’d be okay and they did before the uh before the end of the whistle um but yeah that’s kind of

My my sple straight away how did you guys feel about the game um I well first of all thought it was a great game to watch um as a nil nil it was pretty as nil Nils go it was pretty end to end I mean it I thought I thought it was very

It felt like I was a bit bored until like last 30 minutes of the what you on about the end of the first half was pretty great two teams just like it felt like two teams quite scared to concede definitely do you know I mean Zach has correctly reeled off quite a

Number of opportunities which should have resulted in that didn’t happen till the second half really even in the first half there are a few bad chances yeah I just felt a bit it felt a bit quiet and then it felt a bit there was I wanted

You know you know chill well to bully a child and just like yeah no but like no but like I wanted like more of that I just wanted a bit bit of fire you know it didn’t really feel like that it felt like and then also I know I found the finishing

Really frustrating like Kell had a good game and I like him he’s Irish I love him but um um it his his best Sayes were were closing down and coming out quickly for shots apart from that there was a lot where I feel like Chelsea should have scored but

It’s ended up just being kicked directly at him it is like when Tim Howard got that amazing game in the World Cup like he should have made every single one of those saves it was yeah one goes in you’re be like um but it was it was it

Was do you think the goal should have been rolled out I’ve not seen it back I’ll be honest I’ve not seen it back um I think it should have counted counted I don’t think it’s V Jacks offside I guess no so it was it was Endo it was no no

You’re no sorry I’m on about Chelsea’s one oh yeah it was he was off it takes so long that was so long there’s no debate about that one it’s it’s whether or not the Liverpool one it’s whether or not it was just like smart play from the

The Chelsea final is endo standing in an offside position he was in an offside position and does he block the defender from trying to get to the ball but that’s every free kick but that’s the point is that that is offside you can you can if if that is

Now a precedent of V being involved in that decision then like basically every free kick ever that results in a goal you could probably find a way to get it canceled out at the end of the Daye it was just smart football and I don’t I think it’s like Jobs worth V getting

Involved in a situation where it’s really not meant do you not think maybe as well because obviously potina beforehand which I thought was quite good from him um had called out about like because obviously we had the decisions go against us at amfield I don’t feel I’m not going to give you any

Sympathy for anything no no there’s no sympathy I’m not asking for sympathy here what I’m saying is we had those two penalty decisions not go for us which were penalties that doesn’t mean in this doesn’t mean in this game no no no but what I’m saying the whole reason this

Might have happen yeah it’s good M because poch came out beforehand and like very rarely rest uh managers do this nowadays due to just getting fined and stuff and was like yeah we need the referees to make sure they’re being fair today make sure they’re not on uh klopp

Side I know this is last season but we need to make sure there a fair game and stuff which made them maybe think about it a little bit extra I don’t know um but by the by the letter of the law sure yeah you can rule it out but I just

Think again Big Goal big celebration lots of time then there’s it was just wasted Pirro just like come on what’s going on guys like I don’t think that’s why V was really meant to be there but yeah regardless and also like it wasn’t as if Endo was marking um the guy he

Blocked off was marking van dijk it was chilwell who was put on Van dijk and got completely outmatched I I don’t know so yeah clearly like that’s just a mistake on Chelsea on both counts because then van dijk got in again it was it was like the Ben Watson goal that Wigan won

Against uh Man City against man city was that kind of like epic header the D moment I can’t say I’ve seen it back I haven’t watched it back on that bit it was a compl other end actually to where I was sitting so I didn’t I couldn’t see

Anything about it with Chelsea there were so many times when you got into the final third where you just did not play the right ball there are so many times where you didn’t find the right man in the Box it was just it was almost like

You got to the goal you a little bit it was it was it was you a breakdown of cohesion there I I I I know I guess you could say like Chelsea probably well they should have won the game I don’t know if they necessarily deserve to win

The game I mean that’s the difference here like yeah Chelsea Chelsea had to win that game in second in the second half yeah I think with the chances you created like I just that’s what I mean I don’t understand how it didn’t get in the back of the net like I personally if

The game had end if say van dijk scores that last minute Corner header in the 96th minute I would have been a lot more I would have sat there at least been a little more happier I think leaving going well you know what we were giving it all till the end like

Sometimes these things happen but in the in extra time where Chelsea beforehand literally 5 minutes beforehand were on top momentum all that going their way it almost felt like Liverpool just waiting to concede then extra time comes and just they drop off they don’t have any

Any kind of effort for the half an hour to try and make a chance to even give them themselves in that same position that they were just in I know substitutions came on and maybe that would have affected it and I said slight positional changes but it was just so so

Poor and like this isn’t a Liverpool team that like had Salah playing had Nunes playing like it was a Liverpool team that was really kind of had a lot of injuries and yes Chelsea had injuries and so so for um and yeah youngsters for sure but like Chelsea have a young swood

As well I completely understand bringing on these Academy kids who everyone talks about them being Liverpool Academy Kids majority of them aren’t as well people like Harve ell was getting so much praise for being Liverpool Academy Liverpool Academy he’s Film Academy I don’t think anyone I don’t think anyone

Is you don’t seen the face talking about Harvey Elliott in the situation it’s about like the range of young players running around at the end I did okay I did I did a bit of Wikipedia uh apps um before so there’s been the was it billionaire bottle Jobs versus C kids

Kids um and then people like oh well actually the average age of the Chelsea Squad was was younger um yeah but that doesn’t cuz the point is factually fact is it’s not it’s not based on age it’s based on um but it is based on age no it’s not it’s kids as

In as in like just no like experience I know there’s a difference between a 21 yearold who’s who’s maybe played eight substitute appearances and then a 21-year-old who’s played 60 games okay two a degree it’s not to a degree it’s true like so my okay so for Liverpool you had

Quansa who’s 21 who how many games you played uh he’s made eight in the League this year 20 overall I imagine mainly substitute last year uh he made 16 appearances in League one for Bristol Rovers uh Jaden Dan’s second ever appearance 18 he’s good he’s good played

The whole of extra time um James McConnell 19 his seventh appearance this season gonna assume not starts Bobby clarkk 19 seventh appearance he’s good Connor Bradley 20 41 games in League one for Bolton he’s uh but 12 games this season for Liverpool and then to

Show uh the Jos with you know graen B is 21 but you wouldn’t class him as like all the youngster because he’s played almost 200 games yeah and he’s play for Ajax Bayern and Liverpool and then Chelsea you you’ve got Gusto only 20 for it’s fantastic but he had over 80 and

He’s played for Leon and Chelsea but he is still like in terms of age he is a kid yeah but Enzo’s 23 he’s played 166 Enz and W World Cup like there’s a difference between and then cas’s 22 almost 100 Premier League appearances cell 20 80 diasi older 25 but

250 uh Palmer 21 gallaga 24 with 200 my point right is afterwards you’re seeing everyone online going the average AG of the Liverpool Squad at the end is 23.9 the starting squad for Chelsea is 23.5 like if we want to get into the actual like into the just that’s what sorry that’s what

Annoyed me with that that age bit that people making out that’s what I yeah these kids have barely played I completely agree yeah and to be honest it wasn’t them that were the guys that in the end it came down to the person who is still one of the most one of the

Best center backs in the world who is still the one of the most experienced players in the world who is the guy that steps up the time that’s one of the biggest issues chelse have Chelsea don’t have the IT guy the I am him the the

Person who went all is accounted for and they and they haven’t had and they haven’t had this player they haven’t had this player really since Eden Hazard um and they’ve and they’ve missed out on so many occasions where they need someone to step up and they just don’t have it

Yet maybe it in the future can be a C Palmer maybe it can be someone else but like when you’ve got when you’ve got someone like Virgil Van djk in that Team all the time like yeah you’re going to always have a pretty good chance even

When you had ke and he was like putting in like world best performances in Champions League finals and stuff like that you still had that guy in the Midfield the old head who yeah exactly I guess yeah I actually completely forgot about K and he had a very good Champions

League final performance against Man City like yeah there there actually is an element where he also but he’s not I know ex he was never still like that verge of Van djk Ora if you get what I mean that’s why leaders isn’t it yeah oh not not a many Le Palmer this year

Hasn’t it he Cole Palmer has been the one that shouldered an unbelievable amount of respons cra respons ility and he’s someone that you know you look at previous last season had barely played like even this is just experience for him but um yeah it’s tough I also think

As well like Liverpool defensively were were were so tough to play against like even though Chelsea got chances canate was a beast like I think that’s one of the first times I’ve seen canate live and come away thinking oh my God he is physically incredible um van like yeah

Really like Jackson had a really tough time I thought against them but did okay all all things considered uh because they are they are just really really good Connor Bradley mentioned him was fantastic for Liverpool like to go from playing right back to then right wing and still being really really really

Good for Liverpool and causing a lot of issues for for Ben chilwell on that kind of Left Flank right flank for Liverpool um was really really impressive I thought Diaz was a little bit quiet I thought gust managed to defend him really well G was poor G was poor gak

Yeah to be fair barely barely noticed him to be fair now that you mention him um and it just came down like as I said at the beginning like I really felt that Liverpool weren’t going to score I thought Harve ellot actually was really good Harve ell was really good um but I

Thought Liverpool weren’t going to score a goal unless it came from a set piece because because Chelsea’s set piece defending really feels like that was a bit clueless at times and when you’ve got someone like Virgil Van djk who in the air but you mentioned you mentioned

It about obviously the one that was ruled out I I remember seeing a like Ben it was like benell was on Virgil Van djk that was how it was cuz in other set pieces benchill was marking van djk and that just feels Bonkers to meh get you

Like I think and that’s starting 11 Dy is probably Chelsea’s best aerial threat or defending at least um there actual like if you get into like the percentage of the win rates and stuff is actually not amazing but still um and so you think at least on just a height level as

Well well you put him on Van djk just don’t let him free in in anyone else like okay if there’s two guys you’re going to be marking for this Liverpool Liverpool set pieces canate and Virgil Van djk make sure they canot be getting free and I just felt like Chelsea

Weren’t doing that at all um otherwise it just felt like we actually defended okay like I thought kaiso had a really strong game made some really good tackles uh to launch counterattacks Palmer in the second half was really good Gusto was really good petravic who

I think made 10 saves on the day was fantastic for Chelsea he he’s been someone who since he’s come in for Sanchez has managed to really show why he deserves his place and he’s going to be keeping it for sure but otherwise like I thought I thought Sterling was

Really poor yeah he’s poor he’s running out of room he’s running out and we talk about but we talk about like how you mentioned Liverpool got leaders like Sterling should be and needs to be one of these leaders for Chelsea and when you’re in a cup final and you’re playing

Against Liverpool like you need to show that okay I am the guy experience that he would be but but otherwise you look at it it gets tough because these guys just aren’t old enough or or or have experienced enough in the Premier League to take like to be a leader yet um it’s

It’s weird with Sterling it feels as if he had that great spell at the start of the campaign and then wasn’t getting pick for England at all still wasn’t getting picked and he’s almost feels like now he’s kind of just phoned it in I mean I know he scored a good goal the

Other weekend but I guess the positives here Zach is you’re right petravic looked really good in goal Gusto there are like out of all the signings that have been made there are a few players who are rising up and you’re suddenly looking going okay he’s definitely going

To be in the team going forward he’s going to be in the team going forward like there is it is beginning to take shape like what the new Chelsea could be but I mean what do you feel like is the next step for Chelsea because now

Because now they have to go you know this could have been a break from the league winning this cup competition he’s getting conference League football like now Chelsea have to make amount should been but it shouldn’t have been a thing anyway that Chelsea should settle for conference like beginning of the Season

No one here would have said Chelsea should be settling the conference League anyway like the aim has always got to be I think a little bit of of everyone was hoping champions league but with a little bit of like okay well Euro Europa League is is kind of a must at least um

And I still think that’s something that they they’ve got to focus on the league like obviously Chelsea are still in the FA Cup I think we play leads this week at Stanford Bridge um for the next round I mean leads are leads are banging for it’s going to be an interesting game

That’s for sure um if you lose but oh well yeah and then it’s going to be it’s going to be interesting like this I’ve seen comments already about porch but there’s been comments about porch for the last couple of months now really um but that whole stuff that kind

Of came out to say that almost there was like a little bit of an acceptance within the squad to be like if we can just get the penalties um feels quite it’s not great to hear I think as a Chelsea fan you don’t want to come out

Of a game and hear that that was like almost an acceptance to going to penalties cuz it very much felt like that on the pitch I guess in in players defense I don’t think anyone goes for an extra time it feels most often like a set piece or like everyone’s usually

Knackered and then you also just really don’t want to concede you’re like you take the 50/50 chance of pens it’s not technically 5050 I guess well it goes in or it doesn’t um but yeah yeah yeah you go yeah yeah I extra time just feels probably like a waste of time

To be honest for a minute as well I actually thought there was no extra time with the way for some reason I thought is it in carabal in the games leading up to the final there’s no extra time it just go straight depend yeah I think I

In games where you accidentally your foot land somewhere where someone’s foot wasn’t and it’s gone under that and it’s not it’s not it’s not Reckless it’s not he’s not necessarily a foul it could be you know foul but like the movement of uh kais uh sorry graber’s foot afterward

Makes it look a lot worse when you slow it down it looks like he’s really yeah it wasn’t nearly that bad but it’s an interesting one because it happened on a weekend with multiple different kind of versions of that tackle taking place yes yeah yeah yeah obviously Harry MaGuire

Which we’ll get to that in good time um but yes overall I think Liverpool uh did very well to kind of stay in the game in the second half and then did very well in extra time and obviously a fantastic headed by Virgil Van djk um Chelsea I

Think it’s going to be a tough one to take I think it’ll be as I said it’s going to be very interesting how they play against leads um I think a lot of players seemed very emotionally drained after that game and definitely physically drained um and if I’m not

Wrong I think we play leads on Tuesday um six domestic Cup Final losses in a row yes there is that and I’ve been there for nearly all of them as well um yeah so no I don’t think it Tuesday we play them on Wednesday um but yes six

Domestic League losses I’ve bit since 2019 and a lot of them just just but and in almost in in almost every single one not every single one but almost every single one there are games where you could have gone Chelsea probably should have won that or Chelsea a chance to win

Leester won I remember that you definitely should have won that and they had the goal which was ruled off offside when Chell wasn’t offside I think as well um but yes another one for the history books let me know Chelsea fans and Liverpool fans what you thought in

Glorious and for us like to see filam concede later on have the ball in their own kind of Corner Spot and play it out from the back unleash a Dharma trior and then um you know into Alex oovi oh yeah what a what a cool finish as well great

Finish like literally our second win at Old Trafford in about 60 years it’s mental it’s meant that like fully deserved if you go somewhere time and time again knowing oh we probably get we always get beat here it’s then could seeed that lateer on yeah when I when I

I think I might have been on the toil at the time but I heard it in the other room and it was like oh Maguire I a no they’ll go win it now um and then yeah then somehow Adat Tri actually got a goal involvement yeah football was right

That day like it didn’t like some sometimes football can be so cruel and could be so mean felt like actually yeah you never think conceding that later on go and score Okay the reason he got a goal involvement is normally he would have gone like that ared in and then

Just AR corner and then just poofed it whipped it in nowhere at least this time he just looked up and he just paid a pass yeah it was underrated that no it was really good like Calvin Bassie he is quickly becoming my favorite player in a

And he turned it around as well cuz he started the league really roughly he did he was in the wrong position but they’ve moved him into the right position Tim room has been out a little bit more toen he looks so good and he was so solid and

12 I feel like it’s position in the table we’re only a win behind Chelsea in the west London mini league brenford are losing it this year that’s what you that’s what that’s where the pride could be for you this year the West league but yeah no genuinely just such a

Heartwarming performance from F he just went at it and you know when they’re first on Match of the day like yes this is you know what yeah I do get that feeling um I guess we should touch upon a little bit of Manchester United uh because they were really poor obviously

They started um one of the youngsters in left wing and put kind of rashford through the middle didn’t create too too many chances to be quite honest did look like they missed Rasmus hland you know it’s crazy to say already they’re missing someone who’s so young but

Obviously he’s such a talented player um but it just there was just no connection I thought I thought I thought fulham’s game plan in general really nullified what Manchester United were trying to do um and also where kind of United can be exposed she just did really really well

Um and probably as I said realistically should have came up a game maybe with three goals in the back of the net rather than two yeah absolutely it wasn’t it wasn’t until the last 20 minutes when United were trying a bit harder it was not a close game it was

Quite a conclusive Victory and I’ve never been to Old Trafford I don’t know what the atmospheres like necessarily well afterwards at least online it felt like a lot of people were putting a lot of blame um on Eric ten hog um I think also a lot of some people coming out

Saying well it’s not just ER is the Players um it’s weird because obviously now they’ve got the new owners in charge we’ve seen um sir Jim kind of be very vocal around different topics um pretty much be be like City essentially yeah which is not

A bad not a bad um form follow um but yes uh what did you think of kind of Eric tag at the moment how things are going do you think they’ll keep him it’s always the the same every year I actually feel like there may be zero point in ever talking about Manchester

Ever because it’s exactly the same since Fergie left it’s like oh won a couple games oh this guy’s starting to play well now false Dawn and then because they just lose next week and it’s all like everything’s awful again um and then they’ll get maybe fourth sometimes

And then that’s it and it’s the same every year um for nothing to laugh at at the moment well it was when arer was getting for every time um but yeah it’s I think they’ll keep him they’ll have a decision to make in the summer but they

He he’ll want to I don’t see him really go anywhere they’ve got a thin Squad like I mean that’s the thing hiland’s not there and then suddenly think who’s going to play center forward because he’s Hing is much different Center forward to rashford they almost need

That kind of you know that joke here of signing aalo or V horse they do need that that just actual Center forwards who can fill in at moments that’s where they’re missing places and that’s why Maguire was so high up at the end just trying to bully cuz fil’s defense was

Quite strong in that regard like so it’s it’s yeah they still need a few cycles of uh of squad building to get to that team to where it really needs to be I think it’s just I think a lot of the time it’s just a culture thing just Squad wise it just

Seems just terrible I mean it’s going be inter but then also that comes in with Bruno Just flopping around in the middle acting like I think people get I think people scap I think people scape goat Bruno a lot considering him as he captain no but my point being my point

Being with Bruno is that like there are a lot more issues before Bruno uh at Manchester United like people say we should sell rashford and Bruno in the summer it’s like okay I kind I to a degree get what you’re on about but also there are a lot more issues before that

Um then other players you can sell before having to go to those two um and obviously we spoke about last week they’ve brought in Dan Ashworth um they’ve brought in the Man City guy whose Name Escapes Me Oh Omar bar they they’re trying to set up sponsorships

Hey they need they need money that’s for let’s let’s go get the sponsorship guy from City [Laughter] just to say one thing that interview Jim Ratcliffe did afterwards and they asked him about his tax he was like I’ve paid my taxes for 60 years and then I decided

To go on a holiday in the south of France it’s like I could I could show you every other city in the south of France on the you know where you do pay your taxes still and get you didn’t have to go to Monaco pal you know yeah why is
