Justin Fields trade may happen this week, Belichick unhappy with ‘The Dynasty’ portrayal | THE HERD

Despite a stubborn insistence that Chicago may not be interested in trading Justin Fields, Colin Cowherd has heard otherwise from Albert Breer, who says the Bears have the framework of a trade in place, and that it could be carried out as early as this week. Colin take a look at Fields’ performance last season, and the Bears’ strategy for how they handled his value ahead of his trade. Plus, ‘The Dynasty’, a documentary on the New England Patriots seems to portray head coach Bill Belichick in a light he’s not so happy about. Colin reacts to reports that Belichick is dissatisfied with his portrayal in the series, and makes a case that change might be the best thing for the former New England coach.

Um so Albert Breer said um a framework for a Justin Fields trade Bears quarterback could be in place this week so the bones of it are happening this week can we all now finally just admit all this bears are keeping Justin Fields rumors was all just to keep his trade

Value high if Chicago bailed on Justin fields in week eight or nine what would he be worth today I mean the guy hasn’t had multiple touchdown passes in a game since week five and they’ve gone out of their way even when they miss Chase Claypool DJ Moore they got him another

Tight end a lot of draft capital on the o line you can’t keep blaming the Bears they went and got some good pieces uh yeah Bryce young he doesn’t have anything to work with Justin Field’s o line is middle of the pack his final seven games this year five touchdowns

Three picks completion percentage around 60% in the passer rating in the low 80s against mostly lousy teams but the Bears smartly would go out and say very smartly look this will be a very tough choice for us we like what we see we see somebody who’s getting better

I don’t but I understand the game plan it’s year three his passing numbers are flat his running numbers have gone down we can put it on the screen for you so and again they’ve added pieces the Chicago Bears aren’t perfect Chase Clay poool did not work I appreciated the

Effort DJ Moore is an excellent absolute Bonafide number one receiver Cole KT very fine tight end the O Lin’s fine and for the record he doesn’t win a lot of games and that’s a problem don’t listen to the analytic nerds good quarterbacks win close games he is a dreadful fourth

Quarter quarterback the worst in the league Chicago media their opinion of him is just not reality everybody else sees it the Chicago media all season long tried to uh defend him uh Elevate him uh protect him promote him maybe they’re watching Ohio State film but if

You look at his second half stats in his career third and fourth quarter so this is when you’re off script now it’s up to you no more script it’s up to you 3 years his career second half stats 77 passer rating 58% career completion percentage you know what that

Is the guy I keep comparing him to Zack Wilson but New York media never defend Zach Wilson they call it as they see it as they should I respect that Chicago media this guy deserves another year he is in the second half Zack Wilson highlight tape moves pretty well

Good arm not efficient not accurate off-script very limited the New York media calls it the truth the Chicago media has been protecting him and buying into this we really like him stop it come on you’re not hoisting a trophy Caleb Williams is way way Drake May if there was no Caleb Williams Drake

May’s too talented to pass on in my opinion but the bones are in the work according to Albert Breer as they should be I don’t have a problem with him getting an offensive culture somewhere in the League I don’t have a problem with him getting a really good offensive

Coordinator wherever it is but the Chicago thing stop trying to tell me something that’s not there efficiency late in games and in the second half off script he’s Zach Wilson that’s what he is the numbers don’t lie and by the way the NFC is weaker than the AFC so I

Could defend Zack Wilson he’s got Buffalo he’s got bellich check he’s got you can’t have those numbers in the second half in the NFC can’t Brock P’s lighting it up can’t according to Tom Curran who is a reporter who’s covered the Patriots forever uh bill bich is not happy with

His portrayal uh in this documentary so in the interviews that I’ve seen through four episodes Bill comes across a sort of defensive and grumpy that’s on bellich uh by the way Teddy brusi is fantastic and emotional Randy Moss is hilarious Ty Law is like a standup

Comedian uh Brady is raw and honest even Drew blo who got benched by bich is cordial um has a great perspective he’s authentic Ernie Adams who was the right-hand man for years belich is so relatable and so likable uh and there’s Bill defensive and defiant and grumpy so

Um that’s on Bill that’s not on anybody else that’s not on the documentarians Robert Craft’s a billionaire a billionaire and comes off as much more relatable he comes off as a true fan so I’m not anti bich I defended bich forever but building a wall up around

You it’s got a very uh the late Bobby night feel to it is not good for anybody in any business that’s not how you age Pete Carol full of energy in his 70s Savin totally likable on TV in his 70s Andy Reid is joyful uh papovich I don’t always agree with him

But he seems to be having fun Jim harbot 60 years old any who’s got it better than us nobody I you know this is bellich it it’s almost like bellich bought into the belief is the worse I treat people the the more it correlates with winning and it wore out Tom Brady

And it one of the things that come across in this series is that Ernie Adams is like it’s like would be the coolest dad in everybody’s neighborhood was sort of the right-hand man in the Sven goly the guru the genius you know he always had Bill’s ear when Ernie left

It wasn’t the same and and uh and and everybody loved Ernie Ernie was very relatable a softer side of Bill uh but Bill can’t blame anybody for this stuff like it it’s he took over the draft about seven years ago the draft stinks in this documentary I’m not rooting

Against Bill he could come work at this network I’m not rooting against him I think he’s a brilliant defensive coach but you can even watch his body language in this thing he’s he he doesn’t want anybody I don’t even know why he’s doing it like he’s got people in this that

Would defend him a Matt Slater would defend him there are definitely players that would defend him nobody’s going to necessarily trash him but uh I I found Teddy brusi and Randy Moss and Ty Law uh even Drew blo who could if he wanted to be could be really uh dispirited and

Unhappy in this thing he comes across his cordal people forget Drew blo just signed a hundred million deal and in this time years ago that’s a big that’s a lot of money that’s like Mahomes money now and he got benched he got hurt and they didn’t give him his job back and

Then he led him to the Super Bowl he beat Pittsburgh still didn’t get his job back and he’s cordial and he’s a pro he could have torn the room apart and he didn’t if anybody could be a jerk in this thing bledo could have come off and

Done the interview and been Petty and small and he wasn’t at all he wasn’t happy he didn’t like how his career was going but um I don’t know I I if you don’t like how you’re portrayed then change it’s like I my my wife always says this I think it’s a great line

Apologies are nonsense the only apology life is change Behavior if you do bad things to people you can keep saying I’m sorry doesn’t mean anything it’s useless it’s transparent doesn’t mean anything changed behavior is an apology stop doing things stop being grumpy stop being defensive be easier to work with

That’s an apology otherwise I don’t want to hear your sorry otherwise I don’t want to hear your complaints change your behavior hi everybody thanks for watching subscribe here to get the latest from the show also be sure to check out more of the best clips from

  1. Colin says look at the stats only when it sides with him. When it doesnt he says "you can't rely on the stats"

  2. He’d be worth the same, a bottom 4th round pick or I stick with what I have. Take it or keep him till October & pay his salary till then. Then again, knowing that & knowing you’ll have to cut him before that money even hits I’ll wait & get him for free. Either way, this song & dance was absolutely pointless & whatever the trade is will be too much

  3. Colin’s favourite QBs the last few years

Sam Darnold, Carson Wentz, Andrew Luck……NONE of those guys still play. Yet if you listened to Colin at the time they were going to be everything.

Colin doesn’t know QBs AT ALL and should be ignored every time he talks about one. 🤫🙄

  4. I know this man didn't mention Chase Claypool then immediately follow that up saying the Bears have added good pieces 😂

  5. You're talking about a Justin Fields trade while we're all waiting for FS1 to trade you and JMac to Barstool for Bussin' With The Boys. At least these are credible sources that have played sports and not 2 hacks that need to be hitting retirement, and take Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith with you. We're tired of you 4 messing up sports conversations.

  6. Fields OLine is ranked 26th in the league in 2023. They have one WR and a TE and a one really good OT. Peter King also reported that the winds are blowing towards the Bears trading the #1 overall pick

  7. To anyone listening, Warren, Waldron and Flus have made it pretty obvious … they’re sticking with Justin this year.

  8. To anyone listening, Warren, Waldron and Flus have made it pretty obvious … they’re sticking with Justin this year.

  9. DJ Moore is nice. But he’s a small WR. After that, what did he have? And then the play calling didn’t accentuate his talent. The play calling/scheme is so bad, they ruined the #2 WR…Mooney. He was a 1,000 yard WR last year? They get DJ Moore and he just falls into the abyss? It’s best for Fields to get out of there!!!

  10. What afc teams are elite to say it’s better than nfc. Do you guys base everything off the qb. AFC has better qbs not better teams

  11. There is more national media saying keep Justin than Chicago. Who is he talking about? Lol I think Colin just mad he got called out the other day and called Chicago radio stations trying to explain..

  12. On Twitter Colin pencil ✏️ neck Cowturd claims…"the economy is BOOMING, inflation at 3.8% jobs EVERYTHING 🤣🤡!! go I'll be posting this for the next 9 months!!" 🤔 Makes one think 💬 as to how much the Democrats are paying him to reach the ingorant American minds.. the ones who forget how 3 times the amount of illegal immigrants crossed the border, 3 times inflation, 3. Times the % of interest rates on home and car loans, crime and once he officially starts attacking Iran it'll be his 3 Rd war in 3 years! Think about it! Vote for you.. 🧠

  13. WoW! You couldn't be more wrong on your assessment of Fields and the Bears and I'm not a Bears fan! Their Offensive line sucks at best! Go look at the rankings of the players for the O-line they're all average to below average at best! They didn't have an easy schedule! They played 5 playoff teams including the Super Bowl Champs, they had to play the Lions and Packers twice, every team that was easy to beat on their schedule they did! The Bears have a single play maker in DJ Moore, any good team has at least 3-4, why do you think the 49ers went and got Mccaffrey even after they already had 2-3 good player makers! This was Fields 2nd year in the league ffs give him a chance, not every QB that enters the NFL is gonna be a Mahomes! Get a clue Colin and do better!

  14. I hate how the media portrays bill. Bill has always been the same. This man didn't say anything in press conferences to the press. What makes people think he is saying anything to the press now. All of his players have nice things to say and respect him. He and Tom were the greatest duo of all time. Give the man some respect. Sick of the hating. Guy has won 6 Super Bowls as a head coach and 2 as a DC. And had been to 12 Super Bowls in total.

  15. colin has officially lost the plot. he just said that the BEARS are doing the right things to help a QB??? they haven’t had one good QB in the super bowl era. MAYBE it’s their own fault?

  16. Talk about wins and losses but doesn’t bring up the fact the defense cost him at a minimum 6-8 games since he’s been a starter

  17. Rip to the organization that takes on Fields’ unbeatable 150 passing yards per game. He’s truly an elite talent as evidenced by him never throwing more than 17 tds in a season… just an unbelievably elite player at his position….

  18. Im a Cowboys fans and im so tired of people bashing fields. Put this kid on a team with a decent line a solid RB and a coaching staff worth a dam and hes gonna break out

  19. Colin – You have said forever that the key to the NFL is getting the right quarterback and COACH now you're changing your tune again. You use Mahomes with KC, Jackson and Baltimore, Allen and Buffalo as winning 75% of their games. Why didn't you use Justin Herbert because it doesn't fit your narrative. You love Herbert, but he doesn't have the right coach. So it's not just getting the Quarterback right but the right Coach and Quarterback. Would you stop speaking out of both sides of your mouth. If Mahomes didn't have Reid he wouldn't have 3 super bowls. If Jackson didn't have Harbaugh he would have the wins and the MVP, if Allen didn't have …. well now here we go, what is the narrative Colin. You would argue that Allen doesn't have the right coach or would you. I guess it depends on the narrative. What is it? Here's one for you Purdy has won over 80% of his starts is he the right quarterback? Or is it Shanahan or is Purdy just a "system quarterback" Man up Colin and gives us some consistency and not bias.

  20. I wish Steelers could get him but we have so many other holes to fill and i dont trust tomlin and kahn to be aggressive i believe in arthur smiths system fields could be a top 10 qb.

  21. I love it when these types are proven wrong. Justin will go on to have a great career. Especially if he’s in Atlanta

  22. Bears are not trading Justin – you keep getting this wrong. You are looking at microscopic stats. Not the improvements. You have not put anything on the screen but your schpincter.

  23. This time next year
Yall will be saying Caleb didn’t have any help or it’s his rookie year
    Which nobody is saying now
Just saying how good he is

  24. It’s exhausting af being a bears fan. It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Probably because it’s so far away.

  25. There was definitely improvement he threw for over 300 in a game for the first time he has potential and it's the bears and always will be until they get a runningback and a good defense. There's nothing to defend about Zach Wilson he's way worse.
