Hey golfers I’m Drew Mah holder second Swing Golf here in Orlando at the 2024 PJ show and we’ve got of course new products is always exciting and especially exciting when it’s a new Cleveland wedge and uh this is the cbx4 zip core I’m joined by Eddie dry here

From Cleveland and he’s going to discuss about the cbx4 and what really the golfers get out of this wedge because it’s a little different than the traditional wedge and that there’s just kind of big cavity back here Eddie so talk to me about that and what golfers

Would get out of playe this much we started this probably 5 years ago six years ago thinking if if if you play a cavity back iron why do you play a blade wedge right and should you play a blade or should you play a cavity back wedge

And we’ve been improving it every two years M and this is the best one that we have made we have the cbx4 is at first you’ll see it’s a little bit larger MH the head’s a little larger but when you set it down at a dress yes it’s cleaner

It is and the back is cleaner mhm the Zips are two things going on with the Zips they’re deep they’re just like the the RTX 6 tour wedges uh and we also have hydro zip and hydro zip is actually this scarring you can’t see it here but

You can feel it you can feel it and what is that for well if you play in the morning and it’s dewy or it’s been raining what you know what happens there well when you hit it hit it especially out R around the green usually just

Keeps on going this will give you a little traction okay yeah just a little bit more spin maybe when the club face is wet or the golf ball is wet I can know that can always be an issue especially like you mentioned those de sweepers out there that get up at 6:

A.m. and go tea off uh typically you’re going to see less spin on those shots but this is kind of the that’s the technology there the hydro zip grooves to retain that spin so so talk to me more about these in the sense we got various lofs here I see something we got

A 48 we go all the way up to 60 right and we’ve also got a various range of shafts here too we got some graphite and some steel yeah KBS light steel shaft it’s premium shafts I mean it’s a High Rev called The High Rev KBS but if you

We’ve gotten better like I’ve said so on that theme you have pitching wedges in sets now that are 42 and 43° so you all all of a sudden have a 56° sand wedge no even Gap wedges at 50 so we make these 48 46 yep and 44 wow so if you start

With a 50 then made us start thinking that should the sole be different and every every one of these wedges has a a different sole made just for it it’s a dynamic so it’s an s or C grind the Gap wedges the 46 48 and 50 have a different

A sole so the turf Interac swing it’ll go through for a full swing or even around the greens I’ve used around the greens and and I couldn’t use that before okay and then a 56 Sand Wedge it has a dual cut if you it’s hard to see there yeah you can kind

Of see there’s a couple ridges there on that sole so kind of It kind of helps get that Leading Edge and and it and it gets out of the way exactly so it gets down there but even in the 60 in the lways it it’s even more pronounced so

I’m not saying you’re going to sit here and open it up all the way but you can open it or close it makes it much easier and if you if you want to get better without having to practice an hour day this red will help exactly I think

Ultimately for for golfers that are not unless you’re playing a blade set of irons or a small you know uh cavity players cavity back iron you know the the smaller type really this is a wedge you should probably consider you know anybody in a game improvement iron or a

Player distance iron having some forgiveness with the wedges is something you probably need around the greens that’s where the cbx4 comes in there are a lot of people that are playing with tricks on are Z sevens yeah and they may be a five handicap a six handicap they

Love the irons and maybe they need help on short game I I say look before you go out and buy a blade wedge check this out yeah check this check this new cbx4 out it’s it’s so easy to hit yeah well uh Eddie thank you for your time the cbx4

Wedges going to be a big winner in 2024 so golfers make sure you go get fit a second swing talk to our fits and uh get a set of cbx4 wedges in the bag if you feel like you might need some short game help any thanks again thank n

  1. Yet to see this club in person, but I've been hoping for a CBX-T (Tour) wedge which is basically an RTX6 with a slight cavity.. ie Mizuno MP60 iron. I like the new blunted leading edge. I'm not sure this CBX4 will convert any low cap players, but a players CB wedge I think would be a big win..
