The PGA TOUR returns to Mexico this week for the Mexico Open at Vidanta, the final event before the TOUR heads east. Tony Finau returns to defend his title. Incredibly, he’s managed finishes of T2-Win since it was introduced in 2022. He hasn’t missed a cut this season and claimed T19 last week at The Genesis Invitational. Nicolai Højgaard will also be in Mexico and enters the week on a run of 13 consecutive cuts made worldwide including a win, two seconds and a third. He finished 33rd at Vidanta Vallarta last season en route to earning his TOUR card via nonmember FedExCup points. Emiliano Grillo will also be teeing it up this week. He’s already made six out of six cuts on the season with four top-25s. He’s also two-for-two at Vidanta Vallarta with a strong T5 finish last year. Others to look out for are Thorbjorn Olesen, Robert McIntyre and Thomas Detry.

Starting out to the right side turning over this on a pretty good line coming to the right edge of the green as we speak that thing was pounded it looked perfect the entire way could go in balamaki that close from an eagle to get to 18 under oh beautiful landed on the down

Open still kept it spin got it that from just 6′ 3 in the closest shot to seven all day and it’s an eagle so it’s a nice up and down for birdie for nap but fak’s Eagle evens it up just through seven holes he began the day again four backs Steve Sans pleased

To be alongside Kurt Byam and chryst ball Del solar look at this t-ball at the fifth and you can see very little wind right now and this was struck nearly perfectly G come on now how does that not go in oh my God Remy at the

Fifth no green to work with Wow plenty of hole to work with though je what’s happening here that’s one way to stop the golf ball he was talking about his long back swing and he said you know what he said I knew that was an asset

And I never wanted to change Jake gap’s back swing that’s Kevin Dy dialing it up from long distance at the 13th this is makeable off the UPS slope landing at maybe 2 to 3 ft on the green yes what do you know you have to wait

For a hole in one but this one surely has to go in Rafa Campos he’s already had we saved it for you right he’s already had a great week here he is at 17 as well come on never seen that in my life little bit

Open oh yes dunks it in James Han that’s a birdie no problem a lot of undulation in this green he’s chipping uphill and then it’s downhill the last oh about 8 ft about like that wow what a shot Novak we go to 18 Aaron battle right behind

Us this guy’s short game it’s crazy how good it is game in putting for years three4 shot as Harrington said from 114 oh beautiful shot another one how about duck gim three consecutive birdies and gim is now at 12 under par little tough start for him he’s a couple

Overpar in his round so far this big Iron shot here to the green he’s going to get over that hill come down feed towards the hole yeah all right how about a bounce back Just a Touch over 60 yards helping wind will take a little bit of spin off

It m is that any good oh that is a just superb to hit it up that high down and control the spin in the distance and that makes Jak nap’s pitch much harder yeah this ball on this pass P sits up so high it’s so easy to hit it

Nice and clean that’s the best chip we’ve seen him in a long time low is spin good first kick kind of like that what a shot Jake nap in there to a couple feet first eagle of the day at the last but it’s playing very easy bonce oh he

Clipped that nice with a lot of spin yeah let’s take note of that whole location it’s very very accessible you never know a couple hours from now when valaki and nap get there three could be in play Oh no you’re right yeah this whole location is up on top of a shelf here

It’s a small tiny platform it’s a pretty big green really hard to get it there there we go Kim from long range remember we last saw him struggling with a ninth yep well done that uphill ey helped them to have some spin and you know they uh coming out of their seats

There on the west coast not bad but quite a bit of work left up on him pretty quick didn’t it it did this was just a moment ago at 17 Brandon woo came up well short on the t-shot check this out there you go that’s nice recovery yep

Taking it left this is headed right for that bunker though a popular spot and it’s not easy from there depending on where you land and that’s over it and it’s sailing right a little bit wind should help him now needs to hold on it’s not getting

Help by that wind at all concerned he hits the path no there’s no way to hit this ball absolutely no way he’s going to have to take it unplayable and the interesting thing was nap came over and took a look at it that’s a very smart thing for a

Young player to do so he knows what the Situation’s going to be but he’s going to have to take an unplayable here and you can’t get relief from a boundary fence you know you can take it from a hazard stake but not from a boundary fence beautiful looking swing that’s what he

Needed people think it might be easier to have a four-shot lead sometimes that’s the hardest thing in the world with the expectations he got off to a slow start the best part of his game fell apart in this Final Round And what had been really the most difficult part

For him he sh he shined today this afternoon up and downs and it is indeed nap time in Mexico this is going to be a really popular win on the PGA tour this win for Jake Napp and I think he’s going to feel better about himself that he won without

His best stuff he had to dig deep Dan and he did it gritty up and downs on the back nine I saw Jake this morning he was excited that mckenneth flew in from Canada you never know how that’s going to go right yeah what a moment for them both most

Important people in your life living the dream living the dream the LTD at the end of the nap time handle on his social media great stuff Jake knap holds on pressure was on him he had the big four-shot lead holds on to beat Sammy vaki 71 didn’t have his best stuff but

  1. Not even March and we have three rookie winners on tour already. Between Knapp, Pavon, and Dunlap, who does everyone think has the best chance at the rookie of the year?

    I'm going with Knapp.

  2. What happened to the great Jordan space? He didn't even play in this oh that's right? I forgot hes just resting on his laurels because he has so much money. He doesn't even need to play yeah? Why waste your time playing with with these guys anyway Jordan? You have one anything this year so far? You. Will not win anything this year? That's still my guarantee I'm you're betting that and. You definitely will not win one of the Majors this year.

  3. Beta PGA Tour event with a beta finish. Welcome to the new mini tour arm of the tour, product of the century!!

  4. Man it's not rocket science – tell the story of the final day from the perspective of the guys fighting for the win. Yes it's cool to see guys almost hole out or chip in but it means nothing without context, espec when they are 10 shots+ off the lead. Put those in a highlights reel called best shots of the day. Then keep the final day highlights for showing the ebb and flow of the guys actually fighting for the win. It'd be so much more engaging and enjoyable. It's as much about capturing the tension and pressure than just showing random good shots which have no context to them.

  5. This was organized SO POORLY.

How do we do things this badly in 2024? PGATour thinks these things don't matter…. they 100% do! This was horrendous 😂

  6. Great to see Knapp succeed. He was very nice to me when I saw him in the range at the Canadian Open

  7. Next time maybe not put the winner raising his cap as a thumbnail if you wan't the highlight to be exiting.
