Coronavirus latest – The revised government lockdown rules encourage steps to restart the housing market in England.
People are now allowed to move home, visit estate agents and to view properties for sale or rent.
Mr Jenrick addressed a hypothetical scenario where complete strangers are allowed to view homes for sale but still not allowed to see friends and family living in another household.
The Housing Secretary laid out rules to make the ‘viewing process safe’, asking homeowners to ‘leave the property for their daily exercise, or even stand in the garden,’ when viewings are taking place.
