The PGA TOUR returns to Mexico this week for the Mexico Open at Vidanta, the final event before the TOUR heads east. Tony Finau returns to defend his title. Incredibly, he’s managed finishes of T2-Win since it was introduced in 2022. He hasn’t missed a cut this season and claimed T19 last week at The Genesis Invitational. Nicolai Højgaard will also be in Mexico and enters the week on a run of 13 consecutive cuts made worldwide including a win, two seconds and a third. He finished 33rd at Vidanta Vallarta last season en route to earning his TOUR card via nonmember FedExCup points. Emiliano Grillo will also be teeing it up this week. He’s already made six out of six cuts on the season with four top-25s. He’s also two-for-two at Vidanta Vallarta with a strong T5 finish last year. Others to look out for are Thorbjorn Olesen, Robert McIntyre and Thomas Detry.

F now just about 60 yard closer than la oh this is green light he loves these little draw hitch shots from 113 yards puts on the brakes pulls it back that’ll be a great opportunity for fale great lie on that pass palum should be able to spin

This like that oh yeah and it goes down here’s the third shot at 14 for Wilson fur again pushed it up there as far as he could and this is the result that’s why they try to get as close as they can to those par fives first round leader at

The Players championship last year Thompson Thompson just very solid all across the board in statistical categories and what a shot 197 it came in like a sandwich over to Stuart McDonald the Monday qualifier on the sixth all playing 620 today his third is that old 620 well from long range for his

Third a look at the part three fifth Martin trainer on a fantastic line oh straight at it now Chad Ry on the T at five this on a pretty darn good line to come spectacular t- shot at five having another Stellar week in Mexico 124 yards ideal H location here

With that yardage and takes advantage what a shot starting left of the hole trying to cut back very good yeah yeah good shot yeah he’ll like that one that’s a good start he has trouble getting started especially on Thursdays asking for it to sit on a really good

Line think more than anything it’s just a it’s just a way to make himself stay aggressive and try to get it under par starting over par now at the 14th of par five here’s Davis the second Davis Thompson PL of go in that swing and he can knock it on

These par fives like this you’re going to see some action at 14 today with that front hole location that led to an eagle for him Ben Silverman at the eighth also making a run good putt here at the eth this is his fourth Birdie on the front nine absolutely snaps right to left

Around the home oh that that is well judged by Tony feno down the hill perfect speed he’s back to seven under what Perfection oh nice shot here taking advantage of that early start today what a t- shot that is 186 yds there are some really long par

Fours out here the fourth hole is 505 yds and that is some kind of approach right there the wind in from the right and he took advantage of his length Kim left to the green on the side of the hill is third to this par five and it

Was a good one flopping back into the breeze help stop that ball certainly he would have no idea what’s going on with nap at number 10 way up in the air starting just right turning over yeah nice Club selection there he’s got a beautiful iron swing that’s for sure total

Control starting just right at the flag stick turning over see if he picked the right one cuz it’s on a gorgeous line is it ever balamaki looking to heat up he had four birdies in the first seven holes looking for his first one since Patrick Rogers is second at the Par Four

What good opportunity to start with a birdie here yes it is yeah with 103 yards left from the Fairway you knew he was going to stick something in there over at the ninth this is Robert McIntyre yeah member of the European Ridder Cup team this past fall was not

His best there as we go back to lonto Griffin his second at three got that whole location on the left and this is on a pretty good line right here a very good line lantto that should be a kick in for him what a shot there for Griffin

Oh what a day he had on Thursday he started poorly oh how about that Robbie Shelton so he was three over after four on day one and then ripped off seven birdies in a row to get back in this thing and make the cut no problem big drive just a little wedge here

Should be able to attack that left hand Hol location from only 119 and he does he knew he had some slope there there’s some easy power in that swing pretty darn good wedge play on top of it what a good start that is for Jake now tremendous for Jake he birdied this

Hole yesterday looks like he’s going to do it again today it’s going to break hard from right to left as well about that much greens are pass palum this week and for a guy like Patrick Rogers who’s had success here he’d love that go maybe sounded just a hair heavy all right

It worked out it was short about 3 feet what a shot great start for nap see those hands up a little bit more than they have been in the past he’s been working on that oh the work is paying off nicely done there by

Tony let’s go to the par 4 15th and and Ryan Palmer for birdie from 36 feet or so oh it’s just enough well done this was a little bit earlier at 13 the second from off the green for Henrik norlander and that is how you do it to 10 under par goes norlander

Oh man he’s feeling it absolutely feeling it my whatever he worked on on the putting green last night has paid off second shot saw a number of players hit it over this par three yesterday with this wind blowing down wind none of them hold it out though Dan let’s get a finger

Snap baby Club T and great position for a bounce back birdie for Tony no need to push it here just give give yourself a good look as Johnson said from a few yards away you kind of want to get it close to the hole with the spin you have when it lands two

Bones right that looks right at man forget that right of the flag here C in fact you know what Justin said to him there’s a quote that Justin said after we play with Jake nappy says man just stick with it you’ve got a great game you’re going to be here on the PGA

Tour this is at 17 Henrik norlander has a good round going today ibly be happy to tput this one you can see the grain changes there maybe not norlander from long range how about that round he’s got going this was just a moment ago meano guo’s third shot to the par five

Yeah on our early coverage we talked about this whole location we could see some action here today and we have I don’t remember seeing a plug lie all week long just can pop this up you get the benefit of some roll here oh man he just about dunked it what a

Shot and his swing is great if you look on social media people love of Eric V ryin golf swing nice four yeah he went to Shan Foley after things weren’t going right after the Canadian open last year this a three-hour drive from here now one last birdie for nap under

Yep again nap just his ninth PGA tour start he has not LED after any round so far again it’s very early in his career he never LED after any round in 58 career starts on the corn fairy tour thanks for watching the PGA Tour on YouTube to watch another video click
