Okay Liam that one there maybe a little bit of a pull the certainly wasn’t a push mhm we see a lot of players struggle with a push and we just did a video about pulling the golf but I would say there’s a huge percentage of players out there who struggle right-handed

Golfers with the ball just going out towards the lights and continuing to go correct so for these players what’s one drill that you think could rectify the majority of the reason that the ball goes to the right yeah that no matter who they are beginner professional uh

I’m sure you’ve used this with some of your Pros I have indeed yeah they can use to ensure that they’re not going to hit the ball the okay right so again equal to what we said before you know that we know that the club face angle at

Impact is the you know the main thing that’s responsible for that so if we’re coming into the go ball if the golf Ball’s starting out to the right we’re in an open position here where you can see the toes open to the heel and this face angle pointing out to the right now

Subsequently what’s causing that and again for for for the majority of the golfing World a good little source of reference would be your left wrist position at the top of the back feet so assuming that that left wrist is responsible for the for squaring the club face which is a big preference of

Mine we’re in this first position here we’ll start to be able to see on the camera that this club facing now is in an open position where you can see the toe is to the left side of the shaft here at the top yeah now if I carry on

Bringing that down into impact and I carry on rotating through the golf ball I’m now going to apply a hell of a lot of Loft and point the golf club a long way out to the right at the top good for a bunker shot and a club shot brilliant

For a bunker shot brilliant for a bunker shot however for a six IR eight IR whatever we’re hitting here not so good now equal to that if I now flatten your left wrist off we see a couple of things the right hand’s now supporting the

Shaft of the golf club at the top so he’s sitting under the shaft a little more but more more importantly what we’re starting to see is the toe now is to the right side of the shaft at the top and that would be you know equally

That would be a neutral to a fraction any closed position but very very beneficial for being to start the ball online yeah so you show me that again there up to the top and I’ve got a little drill for you that’ll help so if

I slide just got a TEEG here I’m sure we all own one if I just slide that in the top of your glove now you might feel a little pinch to start with but that’s now just running if you have a look at that just straight up the wrist there so

When we put this in guys grab it make sure you stab yourself extra hard chck it in there right down the center of your hand you can see it’s going pretty much towards uh my middle finger yeah and the whole idea with this now is if I

Just swing the scull glue up to the top I’m looking to not really feel any pressure again if you then go the other way here and cup that wish you can start to feel the dig into to the wrist there with the TEEG I’m trying to free that so

Now obviously I don’t feel any pressure in the teg and as a result I’ve got this left wrist in a flat position and my right hand supporting the shaft correctly I think I can see some blood coming down so this is something I’ve struggled with my whole life yeah cup lead wrist

Like honestly mate driver I used to start it right of you and going to jamanji further out and without a doubt working on this element in my swing uh very uh close to this drill it was I was actually just getting like a bit of hard plastic y we’ve seen numerous different

Things and I was just working on getting this to the top but with all of these drills the most important thing is the feedback correct the awareness absolutely right you’ve got that tea in there and you can feel the pressure on the side mhm so as I got having two or

Three practice swings here just feeling that and overdoing that sensation exactly right and now there’s no compensation needed to try and square that face you can simply just rotate on through the GOL for yeah perfectly so one thing I’m going to add to a lot of players is this might feel weak the

First time you do it because if I grab this with my left hand we’ll remove the T and I take this to the top that kind of feels strong I I mean the weat itak but the golf ball cares about one thing and that is how the club phase is

Returning back to it at the moment absolutely corre so as strong as you feel here the golf ball doesn’t feel that at the moment of impact we’re not able to apply that pressure onto the back of the ball with that square Club face we’re always making compensations

With that face open where some players won’t Square it up in time and and other players will try and square at last minute but you won’t be able to get that compression onto the golf for so with this you’ll definitely start to see a little bit more of a heavier hit on in

The sent of the balls on the face a little longer and therefore we we get that compression that we’re looking for fantastic all right mate so what I’m going to do I’ve got this set in there nicely I can feel the perfect amount of pressure between that back of the wrist

And to there now as I slowly go back there we go so you just swing out the top now exactly we’re starting to see this left R flatten itself off Club place in a fantastic position and now there’s nothing more needed with this now we just can maintain this and rotate

Into the golf ball we start to see that golf clubs coming fractionally from the inside and now of course I can square that up here pack to bing up you got now from a training protocol standpoint we don’t want players doing this straight off the bat and trying to rip driver no

Indeed absolutely how do we go about training this while starting with just a pitching wedge a 9 but more importantly in the very early stages I would be doing this in practice swings only so I could put the teg in just in the mirror or just at the range back home and just

Doing two or three practice swings getting a sensation for for what that feels like or how much I really have to flatten my left wrist off to get that face square and therefore then I can go ahead remove the tea if you need to to start with before you kind of you know

Get competent with it and then go ahead and just pitch a few golf balls out there and even if you’re doing it at a slower speed to start with the biggest source of feedback is the start line yeah so again we started to see again only pitched out there launched a little

Lower but the start line superb I’ll tell you what them felt compressed so much even for a little shot so look guys real expensive training aid here grab yourself a tea something similar stick that down there make sure there’s no blood bath on the Range but use it

Highly effective you heard it from Liam James here excellent stuff perf yes ch
