After all…I’m Semi-Retired, Talking about Hockey with YOU!!!

My headline of the night for me guys is the ad culture and I was going to make a video abouta KUSI in the end one the draft of players uh we talk about the skill and then we talk about the talent but since canenu and Jeff Gordon all

There they really pay attention of the culture of the monal Canadian is with them and then after that they contribute that culture to the staff with Martin St Lou and that’s after that they move on this to the players they really pay attention who they select as a players

Draft the players to and who is in part of this m organization as a players and for me they go beyond about everything and I would give you an example uruski if you follow each one of them they have right now with M they really look they

Do the homework they not only DFT the player because they believe he could be a good hockey player they really want the player to become a part of the something special and Montreal talk about the culture saki left the building guys at 14 years old himself at 15 years

Old s alone another country to survive to become a better hockey player sakasi go through a play with men at young age sakki play represent his country at the Olympics sakasi after that won to the world championship with Thomas satar and the rest to represent his team over

There saki become a first overall pick by the Montreal Canan 2022 and we know like Toronto and Montreal the media the pressure the adversity the challenge all already at 19 years old what your guysi face already as a human being this is an experience you cannot buy at a at the

Store this is something have to go through that and he have an amazing great maturity you have an amazing great responsibility of what he accomplished and he is a great work e he is one always to learn something his reaction after the game last night uh after the

Game when he slammed the board he was angry about he miss the net right as F bom at the press conference yesterday show one things for me his desire to become a better hockey players this it cannot teach those those DNA to the players he had to come from them and

That’s what is sakasi but what’s the point behind that but let’s move on with Kaden KY Ken KY was the first overall pick and wed sh at 16 years old look his first year KY was not very good it he struggled many time at the point where a

Lot of people was demanding if he was worth it it’s not the same level like the NHL imagine NHL what a pressure of sakasi last year he go through a lot of bad days on his life he go through that look he look like today my point back to

Goie he become a Captain for his team a leader inside his team he carry on that he become a great asset for the team Canada he become a great arip and the wh with a brain before he got TR to Edmonton ERS let’s go back to jayen trouble same sitation with the North

Eastern let’s go back with Jordan Aris same situation both of them captain of their team at some point behind that look what he try to accomplish right now with could be do said what dark is not like he did not pro a St but look his

ADV you got draft third overall pick Lo of people would put him down because he cannot play and he did not perform very well at the beginning with Patrick Kane and Jonathan T we have to carry on those kind of difficulties a challeng during uh the time to prove everybody is wrong

This is a kind ofat you don’t get right away you have to go through ADV this is the culture M car same sitation with Jak he never be drafted before that what’s the point behind that for me is this what the mon want to build the players have lot of responsibility on their

Plate they are mature also they are great work it sick they want to become better and then it’s all because of the work sick they have inside of them and you put this all together at the sun loer room they all go at the war they

All Buy in they all in and that make a team better inside of any other team because they believe at what they are got sold by the organization from the top for kenel and Jeff Gordon to the staff manage for the staff coaching for Mar St L buros rid us and for other

People walk around the team check Chan M look about Adam NCA and all the tools they have in front of them with Christian bush is two assistant on the analys look the video coach and I can go the way they have all the same words inside of their mind and they all going

To buy it for what they bring on the table Jeff Gordon and kenel for me today I was just sharing another part of what the mon talk are building and without that Foundation you’re not going to have a great day that’s a guarantee guys the

Cend cup not at all but the last two weeks all of us we are at Mon and fans you enjoy what you see for the first line you get excited for what you see for the last couple of days a lot of many of us h fire Alex brose

Martin and many others trade many of them because they not believe the m in what I want to finish with that part guys yeah have no road map like I said my last atline to develop a player it’s not guaranteed saki is going to become a

A rent tant in initial but my point behind that it’s you don’t know yet what L arson is going to be one day you don’t know what angstrom Logan Mayu is going to become an NHL but enjoy the small victories on M in the end and of course

Keep in mind to not be too much negative a believe of what we have I think for me they are excellent management for the M how you going to make mistake like anybody how going to get anist cup to win not at all but I’m sure monan are

Going to be a one of the top best franchise in NHL by the way I see them developing for the last two year management coaching and the pl so this is my atline of my night so coach a couple things there but guys let’s be fair right 80% of the players that you

Just mentioned there are from The Mark B Trevor timens era right so that is one thing that’s been consistent like you can you can be critical obviously you know Andi over kachuck you know and and some other probably that’s the biggest move or the biggest mistake that

The ban timens um you know era in terms of drafting but we heard Mark B talk about that a lot right like uh it was almost like a cliche right like character was like one of the most important things that Trevor Timmons and Mark B looked so in a way that’s

Something that’s been very consistent across both both management teams right like they definitely both prioritize character right so like so gouie and and all the all the guys that you mentioned you know struble you know those are all B and Trevor Tim’s draft picks so just just an honorable mention you know that

Yes a lot of the core players that are there right now are from that management era coach I don’t know if your headline was inspired by that but a lot of the people that were really really critical at Habs management are now recognizing that uh exactly what you’re saying right

Like um you know they you know and maybe some of the people are even saying you know what based on how successful Sosi how how successful the team has been at developing slavoski they’re actually maybe even changing their minds a little bit about reinbacher because if they can

Uh you know improve slaf kosi to the extent that they have it increases your confidence level of what they’re going to be able to do with reinbacher because believe me that that’s that’s a whole other conversation too right still people are still mad meof versus Ryan Bacher and you know Ryan Bacher there’s

Definitely been some things you can look at in his development this year that don’t look amazing this is what happens right when you have success guys like people are seeing how good of a job they’ve done developing and improving slavkovsky that it’s even spreading and giving goodwi or faith the word faith is

Is I’m use that very key in a key way Habs fans can have a little bit more faith that they’re going to do the right thing in the future with developing their players yeah no I was going to I was going to agree with that coach exactly what you’re saying I I think

What you’re trying to point out is is also the fact that these players that they’re drafting they’re doing a lot of research on these players and they’re trying to see what type of character they have I mean to look at the stats and say this is you know this guy was an

80 to 100 Point scorer in the in the minors and that should translate to the NHL it doesn’t always happen uh we’ve seen it many times in in history but one thing that doesn’t change and will always be uh transitioned well is the person’s character and that’s what we’re

Starting to see in some of these players and if you look at some of these ones that have been drafted in the last year or two you’re starting to see a common denominator there and that’s that character element like you look at somebody like Fowler and reinbacher and

While Milo was more was under B ban berson ban of course but they’re they’re exemplifying that type of character and I think that’s so underestimated and so under evaluated in in in hockey that it only holds them to higher esteem that they’re they’re going that extra mile to

Try to get that kind of player and their background in terms of where they came from and what they’ve achieved in order to get to where they are at is what determines that character thank you to watching another Habs Nation video but before we leave we invite you don’t

  1. Was Slafkovsky the right pick… I have been the harshest critic… based on his Junior results I say NO BUT BASED ON POTENTIAL I say YES

Clearly I cannot say the same about Guhle… Guhle has shown promise at the junior level. I personally have always been positive about Guhle

As far as Slafkovsky it is undeniably accurate that results were not there… BUT YOU HAVE TO…. Have to recognize the most recent (5-7 games) blossom of Slafkovsky

If this is who he can be then the Habs saw some thing

I think players like Owen Beck Logan Mailloux are going to be key

    Good show

  2. Jack Hughes wasn't amazing in his first 2 years. Slafkovsky has been on a tear, and him playing with Suzuki and Caufield gelled well together.

  3. Some of these players have incredible stories, the work it took to get to this level. That's been my point the whole time.

Why MSL and Montreal better get into the win column sooner than later.

My question is this – if a team is so focused on first round draft picks, they invest a lot of time and money into these hotshot players that they cannot afford to keep down the line? They will eventually become trade assets but is that a waste of a young athletes' career?

We fans are loyal to hockey franchises, but hockey players are loyal to the game of hockey, and come to this continent to play for one reason and one reason only

    🏆

    Good luck Slaf.

  4. All 3 of those top drafts were injured by the end of the year.
3 months in AHL would have acclimated to professional hockey . Especially the European players. They have basically a no hit hockey league. Some top picks are coming from Europe to university teams now. It will reduce injuries. And give them a longer career.
Slaf is going to be a great player, just what he has accomplished so far is extremely important

  5. sure a few of those players were drafted in the Bergevin era but that era had no clue how to develop a player. They had no way to coach young players. If that management team was in charge the would have all been busts. Because thier confidence would have been shot. look at Caulfied under the bergevin era.
