The Riviera Country Club will once again play host to the PGA TOUR’s best as The Genesis Invitational tees off this week. The Genesis Invitational is the first of three player-hosted invitationals (along with the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament presented by Workday). Tiger Woods is the host this week but will also be in the field. This will be his first start since the Masters Tournament in 2023 – where he withdrew after the third round. Last season’s Genesis Invitational was his last full four-round effort on the PGA TOUR before injury. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to action after a strong finish in last week’s WM Phoenix Open. He claimed T3 in his attempt to become the first player to three-peat on the PGA TOUR since Steve Stricker in 2009-11. Scheffler finished 12th at The Genesis last season. Rory McIlroy is set to make just his second TOUR start in 2024 after a T66 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This will be McIlroy’s eighth start at Riviera. He finished 29th last season and claimed a career-best of fourth at Riviera in 2019. Others to look out for are Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele.

  1. Very nice video. Very well presented, consistent right down to the covers – I'd love to see more of this, a YouTube gem✌️

  2. Will "The Thrill" Zalatoris. Glad to see him back. My money's on him to win AT LEAST one major this year.

  3. Wow, coverage that actually covers the guys who are winning as opposed to Tiger's drama queen IV bag incident.

  4. would some one please explain why Jason Day had a 1 with a gray symbol next to his name?- never seen that before?

  5. I laugh when I see people post that there's nothing to watch now that Tiger and Spieth are out. I'm looking at a very notable leader board here. It should end up a great tournament.

  6. It’s been a rough 3 weeks for PGAT:

    – Pebble boring wash-out
    – WM Open nobody leaderboard and the worst crowd behaviour in the history of the event.
    – Genesis as an elevated event with only 2 major winners inside top 10 and only 3 inside Top 30! 😂. Plus you have Mr personality Cantlay running away with it. Snooze. AND the TW show flopped as bad as the TGL launch and the 2 captain Americas (JT and Speith) of PGAT miss cut and DQ whilst in contention 😂.

You can’t make this stuff up.

  7. Wow! An Elevated Flagship Event for the PGA and you got a snooze Fest Leaderboard like that with a WD Tiggy with Covid. LMFAO!
