Surprised yeah I mean it’s uh this is massive for the sport as as Martin already said um I you know if if Lewis stayed at at Mercedes it kind of if they won races next year or didn’t win races it would have been good but having this shift to

Ferrari is massive um I think it’s great for the sport everyone’s going to have their eyes on on Formula 1 especially Ferrari and Lewis uh but also how he how he does up against charlot cler who has the contract so I’m guessing he’s the one that’s going to be alongside Lewis

At at Ferrari it’s a big deal making this change in your career when you’ve been with one team for so long to suddenly jump into someone else’s team it’s tough so fair play to Lewis um it’s h it’s a toughy yeah I mean when you when you think about this one in the

Grand scheme of things I suppose there’s so many questions we could ask but how has he arrived at this decision and why now I I think think you know obviously 12 years at at Mercedes is is longer than most people ever spending Formula 1 so spend it with one team and Achieve

What they have maybe he’s he also wanted something different you know to spice it up a little bit we all get to that point in our career it’s like you know what I’ve done what I set out to achieve and you and you choose to retire whereas

He’s gone the other route and gone you know what I feel like I need a change I’m going to go to Ferrari so uh it’s h it’s a big deal and um I cannot wait to see how he goes in the fr the weird thing is that it’s quite an early call

Though right to to mention it this early on not that it has been mentioned yet hopefully later today uh but it’s a year before he’ll be stepping into the Ferrari so how is the atmosphere going to be at Mercedes well you tell us I I

Mean how do you think both he and and Toto and and George and the rest of the team are going to be able to deal with this for for an entire season knowing that he’s going on to to the biggest rival it’s yeah it’s it’s not easy um

What do they hold back from Lewis I mean he knows the ins and outs of this team very well anyway but um when they get down to the nitty-gritty are there going to be certain things they hold back from Lewis possibly um and you know for George he’s got to start thinking about

A new teammate again is it going to be someone like you know uh one of his carting Rivals Alex Alvin or is it going to be Fernando Alonso the guy that just doesn’t go away he’s always there fighting for the top spots in the top team so who knows and it this

Definitely makes it an interesting year for us looking forward to 2025 already we still have another year of Formula One to look forward to but 2025 yeah this is proper exciting but for Lewis this is a brave move and a lot of respect to him because he’s not just

Going to another team he’s going to Ferrari he’s going to a team where they speak Italian a language he doesn’t know a language that sh does know very well this is this is a Big E so uh yeah I’m excited for this and this is as everyone

Has already said is great for everyone well I mean you are his teammate for for a long period of time McLaren just explain that LE and particularly for Lewis The Lure of of Ferrari he’s great hero at and Sen Senna never made it um to to to get into to the red overalls

But he is going to do that and I wonder if it’s completing a dream for him I think for all of us you know we were all little kids one day a long time ago and you see the red Ferrari and you think I want to race for that team so

Yes uh it’s a biggie and you know I I didn’t get the chance to raise Ferrari it was very very close contract’s almost in hand um but uh yeah I think this is a this is a special one for him and I I just you know we’re looking into the

Future too far but I I just hope it goes well for him because ending your career when you’ve had such highs ending it with a team that and you don’t perform there It’s Tricky but I I look forward to seeing Lewis and I think Lewis is in a place

Where he’s got a lot of confidence at the moment in himself I think he’s driving at his best uh and if he can carry that over to Ferrari yeah we’re look looking forward to a great fight between him and sha okay um we’re gonna save this chat to the end I will with

You lot don’t worry but we’ve only got you for a short moment so who if you’re going to put you know a couple of bucks on it who who would you say will be alongside him in the car alongside George in the car after this alongside I

Mean I have to say yeah I might have a man crush on my ex teammate Fernando Alonso but I would love to see Fernando Alonzo you know he is for 42 now I think but the hunger’s there and if the hunger is there the fitness is there he drives

Every day he’s driving a go-kart or some sort of race car if it’s there I think it’d be a cool partnership I think they’d learn from each other pretty well and I think they’d work well together you can bet your bottom dollar he is going to be all over this no doubt about

It Jensen thanks very much is the sun shining on the way to on the way to school this morning uh no it’s actually raining today so yeah not yeah not the best weather but it doesn’t matter CU this news is exciting

  1. Ferrari will not put up with hamilton's sulks and 'toys out of the pram' moments. He will be a medium cog in a huge wheel. He is too dim to learn another language. Charles will blow him out of the water. It will be so great to watch 🙂

  2. Yeah we can forget 2024. Whatever your opinions about Lewis, you can rest assured F1 is boring without him. No disrespect to Vestappen but he doesn’t bring excitement until he crashes into someone

  3. Imagine if Ferrari becomes a midfielder all of a sudden… Then you'll look back and it wasnt a big news afterall

  4. Why must English people always say honest are they always lying that you have to put that before a comment

  5. He's going because hes not winning and wants the last big pay cheque. Lewis is good but he always had the best car that doesn't make you the greatest

  6. I think it's an expected move, Lewis is 40, and he wants to do a couple more before retiring. and he does it with Ferrari. expected

  7. I've never been a LH fan (quite the opposite actually) but this is the BOLDEST MOVE I've seen in 31 years watching F1. Mad respect, if he gets a WDC with Ferrari, he goes up there with Jim Clark as the greatest ever.

  8. All the people saying its a suprise. Do you even watch f1? They haven't gave him a good car for 3 years now. He stayed and tried to ride it out so respect to him. I expected this move last year tbh so its most definitely not a shock in anyway atall 😂😂😂

  9. Mercedes needs an experienced seasoned driver who's seen it all to help understand and develop a car. Alonso brings that skill to the table which the young guys don't have.

  10. It was just over for Lewis. Done. This was the only move he could do to keep famous and make more money. But he will be gone soon i think

  11. Foolish of Ferrari to take Hamilton .Hamilton will be dropped by Ferrari before 2025 due to his performance in 2024 in the midfield to which he is accustomed.

  12. Well, well, well… Back in mid 2022 Hamilton said: "Of course it would be nice to race for Ferrari during my career, but things happen because of a reason. Mercedes is my family. I will always be a Mercedes driver, just like Stirling Moss"

    What happened Lewis? 😂

  13. Here's a sweet scenario. Verstappen leaves Red Bull and joins Mercedes and takes another championship with Hamilton winning no races in the Ferrari

  14. 1 thing is clear, Merc aren't going to be competitive, he wouldn't leave otherwise, Ferrari might have something in the works, or he simply just decided to cash out before retirement, that is all there is to it

  15. I personally don't want this to happen but in Hamilton's mind you could imagine he would also be thinking what if I bear Schumachers 7 titles doing it in a Ferrari

  16. It’s a mistake for Ferrari to do this. I respect and truly like Lewis – but it’s not going to help his career – it’s more of a jump the shark moment – and Lewis’s performance hasn’t been what it was when he was younger. I think Sainz is a better driver than Lewis at this juncture. They are making a mistake to toss Carlos Sainz. He’s on the way up.

  17. He hasnt won for 1/4 decade now – which will likely be a 1/3 of a decade by this time next year – and he will be 40 then too and may never even win a single race for Fazz. He should have just been retired – way past prime.

  18. Lewis will retire after two years at Ferrari if he can't show the world that he is better than Leclerc. He is there to show he is still head and shoulders above the young phenoms. He would have left mercedes after 1 year of George if he had done better than him in that year, but he didnt. He had to stick around to show that he could beat George. Winning another championship is secondary to showing the world he can beat the best as teammates because they will be world champions one day.
