Tiger woods has not held back his opinion!! Tiger woods has come out and made a very surprising statement on the PGA Tour and Liv golf league, especially in relation to the investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Woods has hailed his circuit’s $3bn deal with Strategic Sports Group (SSG), a conglomerate led by the Liverpool FC owners Fenway Sports Group, claiming the investment “puts us in a very good position.”
Tiger Woods gives VERY FIRM message to LIV GOLF over PIF deal
And the 15-time major champion, returning for his first start of the season at the Genesis Invitational, has now suggested that the PGA Tour and LIV golf deal situation has changed slightly.
Tiger Woods has made a big claim that I am struggling to get my head round, but I would love to know what you golf fans think on this!

I’ve got one question for you right now does this mean the deal between p and the PJ tour is off has the injection of cash from the SSG the Fenway Sports Group overridden the framework agreement now the reason why I’m saying this is simply for the fact that in the last 24
Hours we have heard from Tiger Woods and the statement says pretty much we don’t need any more money now if I was person at pi F I’d be thinking well hang on I’ve heard not one board member say this now but two the question I would actually have for you
As well right remember a couple of weeks ago Rory left the WhatsApp group had an hourlong phone call with Jordan Speed all because he pretty much said exactly what tiger has said here in an interview that the PJ tour don’t really need to strike a deal now because they have enough
Money okay now I’m going to go through the full interview of what tiger said and I want you to make your mind up because I’m going to say right now that conversation between Tiger and Rory hav hasn’t probably happened the same degree as what it happened between Tiger Woods
And Rory potentially I mean I might putting two and two and getting five here but that’s the question I’m going to ask you here think about this so just to cast your mind back we heard that the SSG Fenway Sports Group the same group who have invested in Liverpool have
Invested into PJ tour Enterprises for the sum of 2. 4 billion now that is massive right huge huge investors now in the past you got to think how the PJ tour has worked up until June last year the PJ tour was in essence diving into their chest of money to keep up with
Live golf now that money came from Main sponsors it also came from TV and AD Revenue but once the PJ tour made thems open to investors well the framework agreement it definitely must have have pricked up the years of other investors now whether they knew this at the time
Was the whole play to say we want investment from Liv golf or PF but actually hope someone else comes in first I don’t know I mean something’s a little bit fishy here if you ask me if not one but two board members are now starting to sing from a very similar hym
Sheet now the reason why I’m so skeptical about all of this is simply that if we go back to last year we were told No Deal never done shouldn’t play live golf and now they want wanted to strike a deal so that’s why I’m still a little bit skeptical about this but
Anyway let’s get into this the 48-year-old Tiger Woods had this to say first thing he said this puts us in a very good position so that injection of cash from SSG has pretty much put the PJ tour Enterprises and therefore the funds which the players have to play with in a
Very very good position one that they can nearly compete with what Liv golf are offering so he says this further ultimately we would like to have piff be part of our tour and be part of our product but financially we don’t now with SSG and the amount of monies they have come to
The table with and with what we had initially agree with the framework agreement those are all the same numbers so anything beyond this is going to be over and above so essentially saying that we don’t need that money if we had any more right now we’ve got the same am
From SSG from what we wanted from Liv and P Now isn’t that interesting as I said remember Jordan Speed something said something very similar and remember this is what Rory had to say about this my thing was that if I’m an original investor that thought they were going to
Get this deal done back in July and I’m hearing a board member say that you know we don’t really need them now how are you going to think about that if I was piff it wouldn’t have made me too happy happy and I think that’s a really valid
Point to bring back up because we’re now hearing two people who are pjt policy board members sing from the same himym sheet and it really does get me thinking but enough of what I think what do you think on this do you think a deal is off
The cards now and the SSG has sort of struck off the need for a pif deal and how does this actually leave players because put yourself in the shoes of John Ram ter pattern and Co who have recently joined Liv golf probably with the idea that they’re going to be able
To play PJ tour and European tour very soon or even before the Ridder cup to acrew enough points if now there’s going to be no deal struck and by the way that is fast approaching we’re in February April’s a deadline and we’ve heard nothing all we’ve heard is two policy board members
Maybe drop breadcrumbs where does this leave those players now I know a lot of you will go well they made the bed they got a lie in it but but I just think it’s a very interesting topic so what do you think of what Tiger Woods has said I
Think it’s interesting I think it’s I don’t want to say it’s meant but I want to say it could be slightly tactical I’m being very careful with the way I’m saying this but I think you get where I’m going with it guys thank you so much for joining me on

What do you think of Tigers comments? Is he right / wrong? and what could this mean for the future of liv golf?!
This is my take..the financial data at this time competes with LIV purses and they believe that it will stop any change into the current format of the PGA TOUR. What I dont think is a factor is that they going against essentially a country that wants a substantial foothold in world sports snd and have dominated the GDP for 2.5 decades. If PGAT thinks it has enough money whats to stop PIF from offering more money wnd and stealing more poayers until American investment is not sustainable? I justbthink no matter what this is gonna be the new world order and theres gonna be a WGA. The more that the PGAT tries to avoid that the more hurt the game in general is going to be.
I just finished watching the first round of the Tiger show (Genius). Between his average play and the anoncers praising every shot, I could throw up. I'll stick with LIV as my first choice to watch.
SSG will end up selling in the next 3-5 years. Once the investors realise they are not making money if anything losing money they will sell. Guess who will step in?
I think it puts the PGA on an equal negotiating footing with PIF, it means they aren’t put into a position of being forced to accept a one sided deal because of their lack of cash. I think it’s a smart negotiating strategy
Tiger Rory & Jordan smartest people in the room!!!
I thought Tiger was smart. Apparently not. Just opening the door for PIF to crush the PGA.
Screw liv
I thought that the PIF was offering this money for the Litigation to go away will this come back if the PGA do not need the PIF.
The framework agreement was a ploy to end litigation, which it did. I know that Speith said that the door would be open for additional investment from the PIF. They may not need it, but they'll take it. I don't think the Tour wanted the PIF to be the only big investor at the table, which would have given them less leverage in deciding the path the Tour may take in the future.
Let’s see…they are going to use $1.5 billion of the cash influx to infuse the top 36 players rather deem critical to not lose. That’s over $20.5 million per person if it was an equitable split, which it won’t be…this also means that the other members that play the tour events, at their own expense with hopes of making the cut get $1.5 million a piece with aspirations of getting into the signature events…somebody is getting the shaft when all the dust settles
$3B injected by the SSG. PGAT raise purse similar to LIV say $20M a tournament. (Individual play. Add $5M for teams). Roughly 150 events for the $3B (Individual) 2024 PGAT events for 2024 =36. Down from 2023 =44. So roughly 4 years of prize money. Less if you add team events. What happens then? This breakdown is on events only. We know the PGA are going to subsidise the top players with some of the $3B.🇦🇺🦘🪃🇦🇺🦘🪃
Pif has the ability to raise the stakes again. Can the pgat call their raise?
Tiger and crew might make that bunch mad enough that they may buy EVERTHING?
Seems like I was right all along. The deal was never gonna happen. It was just a head fake to stop LIV from poaching PGA players for long enough until they got funding. I'm now thinking Tiger was behind all this including pressuring the majors to not give OWGR points to LIV.
PGA Tour is picking a fight it can’t win if PIF decide to keep fighting!
This weekend – the PGA looked like a beer league & just thankful Jon Rahm doesn’t have to play in those event conditions & against the lesser weakening competition. The elite PGA will likely be offered opportunities to advance to higher paying LIV events. Why not just have USA only players at the PGAT events?😀 There are plenty of great American golfers. Rory can go back to Europe and maybe win the Open.😀
Eldrick and the Board don’t understand that the money they’ve been given are actually Tax Write offs, and once that’s used up, so is the funding. Three years and back to bankruptcy Again. The “Funding” affects the Top 36 players the most. They get the lions share and everyone else gets the scraps. The top 36 will get between 20 & 30 mill each.
The PGA Tour as we once knew it is gone! Tiger and his ego just sucked an egg with his ridiculous Sun Day Disaster… they will both be sucking hind utters and begging PIF within 24 months! The SSG will not see a profit. No one wants to watch mediocre competition… advertisement is drying up! We are in a bloody recession!!
tiger is right, LIV sucks
PIF don't t want or need a deal to go ahead. Why collaborate when they can dominate anyway.
Ask yourself this…Where F would the PGA Tour be if LIV had not come along? Would their "product" hence, their independent contractor tour caring members be? PGA Tour has been SOLD. It is no longer an organization for its product. Now they are going to be run a seek-for-profit chairmen of the board. I hope the deal dose not go through for all you PGA Tour ass-kissing fools see how bad it will FALL.
