We’re already at round six of the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship, with the upcoming mid-portion of the season to prove critical in this year’s title-race. Bikes were on-track this afternoon in Glendale and we pieced together this raw first look from Trackside on press day.
Fant it was very it is what it is you can’t do anything about it yeah um dude going in or making in the main event at H2 was uh dude so awesome um I thought I would be a lot earlier but these boys are going fast um
I don’t have a whole lot of time on the bike so for me to go in there put it in especially at um a Triple Crown I had to do three 10minute motos and my body was hurting um but going into of this week uh I haven’t really been able to ride I
Tried to ride with roxon last week on Wednesday and my body was just hurting way too bad um so I took a couple more days off I drove out to Arizona on Monday and got here on Tuesday and uh was able to ride like maybe 30 minutes
Before the Wind and Rain got kicked up but um yeah my body’s feeling better on the bike not really any more pain and uh just really sore after I get done riding so preparation wise I having just therapy and trying to get my body healed
Up 100% so um yeah we’ll see how uh this week goes um yeah honestly just like super super focused on start that’s like the main thing I I I need to like just do better um which I kind of like I kind of knew like we’re going to have to go
Uh through some things on starts because new bikes you know and on the practice track it feels good but when you go to the races there’s a guy there’s some guys to compare too you know so yeah that’s what we’ve been working and uh yeah this weekend hopefully uh I can get
Some good starts uh this week’s been full golf um went and walked the course with Ricky uh t or Wednesday and then yesterday I went set the 16th hole forever so um this weekend we have a collab with palm tree crew and puma and uh Ricky so um yeah this week was a
Bunch of off time with the rain um obviously Southern California got hit pretty hard and then um yeah just call the collab between Palm Tree crew in Puma um I think it’s something special that Troy always brings in with outside sponsors and uh I think they can grow
Our sport a bit and just have different eyes um on our sport I know a lot of golfers are into Moto um so yeah I think um me showing my face out there and then obviously maybe some golfers will show up tomorrow it’ll be cool last time you
Came here uh you were racing Futures right so how do you feel now uh big progression I think I’ve learned a lot since last year and I’ve gotten a lot better on the bike too so um I’ve always done pretty good here and uh it’s always suited my riding style pretty well so
I’m excited to be back well um I really just wanted to if you haven’t seen my video from the hills the week before I was just trying to bring that to a more public uh viewing uh my train front flip brought it to Supercross uh everyone
Seemed to love it uh it was a one time thing so uh don’t expect to see it again but if you haven’t seen either of them they’re on my Instagram but it was a bummer right I got bumped right before the face of the Finish Line had to sit
Down and kind of got squirly in the ruts nothing I can do there tried to save it thought I was going to be able to ride it out didn’t realize how soft The Landing was and uh yeah just straight up over the bars I actually bent my
Crossbar into like a u-shape from how hard my hips hit it uh I’m super lucky to be okay right um it is what it is I don’t I don’t blame Cheyenne I would have probably moved out like that too I could have anticipated a little bit better and uh I just didn’t
So um take the blows when they come our way and just try and uh learn from it dude starts with the hole shot that’s for sure get a good start dice it up I mean that’s I mean at the end of the day there’s so many good good athletes and
Riders U on the track so the biggest thing is got out front early and getting comfortable and this track’s great to do that get out front and and it’s fast on the gas shifting gears and giving it yeah yeah it’s really cool uh obviously tldd helps out uh some of the golfers
Obviously Ricky so you can see we got a Ricky on there which is pretty cool uh came out really really cool that’s what’s uh cool about being trly designs is get some cool designs and uh yeah still to be rocking this stuff this weekend it looks really good on the bike
