Okay everybody let’s welcome the winners of live Golf Las Vegas smash GC we are joined by Taylor G gr McDow Captain Brooks kka and Jason CRA welcome guys so you guys obviously had a big mixup in the off season with your roster and come come out hot right out of the gate
Winning this one Brooks tell us a little bit about this team Dynamic yeah I mean that was the plan uh to bring in two guys that that have experience that know how to win and um to be in this situation where we I feel like we’re competing every week you know last week
We just didn’t have a good Sunday um that happens so we had a chance to to compete obviously learn something and then to come back this week and GMAC to play the way he did today was was spectacular um you know Taylor had a chance to win Jay played phenomenal we
Uh you know he had another chance to win right there so um I love the way that team played I love this team so I’m I’m very excited for the future and GMAC this your first Podium with live golf tell us how it feels yeah I mean they
Keep hand me the trophy cuz I’ve never had one before so uh now listen uh you know obviously proud to be part of this unit um you know I appreciate Brooks putting the trust into me to to have me on the on the roster this year um you
Know Sundays are always difficult uh at any event there’s an expectation level that you have for yourself um but you know with with four scores to count here on live on Sundays this year I mean the expectation levels for the whole team you want to play well for your guys you
Know so there’s a there there’s a lot of extra pressure out there um I think it’s a phenomenal format and uh you know I think what people don’t realize at home you know what we have here and live the team the team Dynamic is so important the people you surround yourself with
With you’re preparing together you’re uh playing for each other you know being with these guys you know it’s kind of lit the fire for me and that’s really what I needed at this point in my career and I still feel like I’m good enough to win golf tournaments and and that’s the
Key for me so today you know personally was a big day I kind of need that that a little bit belief for myself as we move into the season because you know we want to be be on the podium many many times I think the expectation levels are are
Very high for smash GC this uh this season so there was only three teams of I’m counting right that were either um at even par or under par today um both Taylor Jason you guys had a chance at winning it today tell us a little bit about your rounds the conditions out
There and why you guys think that smash was able to get a 10 under for the team start with you Taylor um like like Brooke said we had a chance last Sunday to kind of do the same thing and it just didn’t click you know that’s the good thing about having these four
Guys on a team is we know Any Given Sunday if we have a chance we can run away with the tournament and for me uh you know I actually didn’t hit that great today but I uh I made I made a few putts out there so the putter got hot at
The right time and uh it just kind of helped Propel us uh you know to the win and Jason yeah I think uh the same thing happened to me uh start out the round I didn’t really get off to a particularly good start um just didn’t hit anything
Close uh had a couple little knee knockers from four five ft and that uh Breeze was kind of tough so um just like Taylor I got a couple putts to fall um you know at the right time I think we all made a few birdies coming and and uh
That kind of solidified everything and I went forward on 18 but you know that’s that’s the way it was and I mean I would have only gotten to 11 but uh nonetheless it was it was a fun day out there and it was more fun to to play it
Alongside these guys most important question how is smash GC celebrating tonight Rooks uh figured that out I haven’t really thought about that so uh yeah um probably just I mean I’d love to reflect here uh right when we get done with this probably all four of us everybody that’s
A part of the team the Cades just go in there and and reflect on this enjoy the win and then uh yeah we’ll have some fun no doubt about that we’re in a good spot for it awesome congratulations guys than you you what were you able to do to
Shoot a 65 out there and in in tough conditions where you know there weren’t many low scores out there today yeah I mean I’ve been living in Florida for about 15 years but thankfully I still remember hard to play in the wind which is uh um you know the game’s really been
Trending for the last 6 months you know I kind of alluded to it earlier you know the belief level is it’s that little X Factor that’s hard to find you know you can’t coach that you can’t learn that you just have to kind of go out there
And kind of get it done and you know being around the squad and you know like I say the accountability level and uh you know the work the work rate the culture I think all of those things you know it kind of just drives us all
Forward and and like I said at this point in my career you know I I I want to be held accountable I want to push myself and and see see what I have left in the tank you know and and like I say I feel like today was a big day and um
You know as we continue moving forward into the season you know we there’s going to be lots of situations on Sundays where we can get this done so um you know looking forward to to more of the same and Brooks you made these moves before uh we announced that four
Counting scores on Sunday uh now that we have that just how much more important or how much of an X Factor it is for you guys especially with the depth of your roster now yeah obvious doing those doing the offseason moves before the four scores counted I
Thought it was you know I thought it was great you know having three but then I think it actually kind of turned into our benefit um look we got a lot of Firepower a lot of um a lot of guys on this team that know how to win know how
To play golf um you just look at it today um great players play well under in tough conditions that’s what GMAC did today um so I’m beyond proud of him and um you know these guys having a chance to win that’s that’s all all you can ask
For I mean basically three guys with a chance to win on uh on a Sunday is is always a good thing and Jason were you looking much at the leaderboard especially the way the team was performing uh throughout the the day well I kind of noticed throughout uh
Maybe halfway through that we were like right right second third and then uh we were down a couple then we were up a couple so I think we all made birdies at the right time as Brooks said um you know uh good players good teams uh play
Well under pressure and uh you know we I looked up at the leader board and we were eight up so I kind of knew that we uh we had something going so I think uh I think we finish it off in uh in style uh what was the vibe like today in
Vegas with the Super Bowl crowd in town um to play in an environment like this did you guys enjoy it yeah I mean it’s always fun anytime you get in front of a bunch of people and they’re they’re excited and um like it’s a great town uh especially this
Weekend so I’m glad everybody came out there was a nice little turnout today and and they were allowed so that’s uh it’s always a good thing and would you guys would you guys like to see this become a tradition where you play a tournament in the Super Bowl City that
Week maybe New Orleans next year at this time yeah sure that’s fine fine with me fine by us absolutely where wherever we can win yeah that’s good with us anyone else awesome congratulations smash go
