I think we’re live welcome to 360 Live welcome everybody um I’m just getting all dressed up and jelled up and you know pampering myself to get ready for that betway sa20 finale it’s happening today at Newlands there’s the logo I’m in my working gear and I’m ready to roll

It’s been a fantastic buildup um to the final uh we had a a great knockout session um leading up to this some close games some highs scoring games and uh we saw a bit of everything in the betway sa20 in season two it’s been a fantastic

Season and we also had like a a closing function last night with the betway people Graham Smith was there did a bit of a speech um Josh Butler Stuart broad Mark Nicholas everyone is there just celebrating um a very successful season two and as we saw there the final is

Between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and also the durans super Giants uh certainly the two best teams in this tournament it’s not often you you get the two best teams who really stood out in the tournament to face off in the final there’s always someone who sneaks

In at the back door and jobber Super Kings almost did that um this season I have mentioned before that the Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the defending champs and last year they just snuck into the into The Knockout stages ultimately going on to win the tournament um but

Here they are uh the defending champ in the final again it is today at the beautiful Newland um as I just posted um on Instagram I posted a picture for you guys of me playing pedal tennis or padel I’m not sure how to pronounce it I still

Don’t know and some people say padell some say pedal um and there I told you guys that Newland is showing off today and that’s exactly it’s a scorcher of a Daya in Cape Town it’s absolutely beautiful I’m in my hotel room at The Vineyards hotel with my beautiful wife

Um she’s in Cavendish square at the moment uh doing a bit of shopping she’ll be entering pretty soon so if I lose or if I get a bit distracted um just know that it’s my beautiful wife walking into the room can’t help but um turn turn my

With the PSL um which is starting pretty soon s space attack of Sunrisers to good this final will be a battle between Eastern kolas and the super Giants batters your thoughts um well the the Durban super Giants bowling attack in that last game at the wondrous against

The Jook Super Kings did a wonderful job on a really good Wicket they played on the 438 Wicket uh which is that very famous game where South Africa um chased down a mammoth total of 434 against Australia they played on that same Wicket and Durban super Giants got over

200 in this game I think 211 to be exact HRI CL and just playing the knock of a lifetime in that um qualifier too I saw him on the plane on the way to Cape Town yesterday we were in the same flight I saw jonty roads mono Morel I’m caught up

With everyone and I just congratulated Clon with a fantastic Innings and we both just shared um that moment where identified that opportunity to take down Imran T and that’s what kickstarted that Innings and also ultimately LED two Durban super Giants winning that game but what I wanted to get to is how while

The Bowers defended 200 because I didn’t think two 211 was too far for JC Super Kings to possibly chase down um it’s such a good Wicket and very difficult to defend uh but the Bowers stood up rest stoly bowled exceptionally well Vian milder um also nain ulak um afghanistani

Bolo did a fantastic job he also did a took a wonderful catch at mof um it just shows your catches when your matches you got rid of leus depoy who who was who’s been uh Jook Super Kings is SuperStar B in this tournament and but you’re right

If you had to be if you had to really analyze it the sunrises um have a really good batting attack Tristan stubs Aden Marram uh Marco Jans and guys who can e some big balls um so they will be a force to be reckoned with but I just

Think both teams are all around really good teams uh both in batting bowling and Fielding department so it’s going to be a great game I hope it’s a high-scoring close battle between the two best teams of the sa bet betway sa20 tournament and um I don’t know what you

Guys think of the tournament I’ve had so much fun and um I think it’s just a a very bright future for South Africa with this tournament we’ve seen so many youngsters through we’ve seen so many great games and close games and um the commentary team I I think is a really

Who’s been around the commentary um industry for so many years and we us as cricket players or former cricket players just have so much fun learning from them and talking and analyzing the game um Atara ABD compared to last year sa20 growth is upward give some info I

Don’t have numbers for you guys but um listening to graah Smith at that function last night um he just seemed so pleased and so proud of the product they created um he’s speaking about a very successful season which tells me the numbers have grown um the interest in

The tournament has grown and and up uh so it’s it’s I’m pretty sure it’s been a very successful season um hopefully we’ll cap it off with a fantastic final year at Newlands today um the sun’s out there’s no rain forecasted so we’re going to have a full-on game um all the

Commentators are very excited I uh as I said I played a bit of pedal earlier with Mark Nicholas and Stuart Broad and I’ll I’ll share video with you guys really soon so we had a workout session as well um Mark Nicholas not happy at times

Because I did chase him around a bit I I’ve got a big tennis background so the game I with with regards to Pedal there’s a lot of similarities uh also with squash um and Tennis is a bit of a combo of both um so I did get to and

Mark’s obviously much older than me he was born in the 50s I don’t want to give his age away too much but sorry Mark if you’re listening I know he’s not he’s actually at the pool trying to cool down um but yeah so I did take a little bit

Of Advantage um of his Mobility he not in his cities anymore with all respect but I’ll share that with you guys in a minute um thanks for that question I think the tournament is certainly grown this year and I hope everyone around the world has enjoyed

The game as well I know it’s been streamed on geoc Cinema over there in India um and various broadcasters around the world are showing these games now just quickly let’s go through the top run scorers and the and the top Wicket takers um so Ryan rickleton at the top

Of the list but let’s you remember I did rant about um this and people putting too much emphasis on the top run scorers because rickleton is an opening bat HRI claron bats at five five people for Durban super Giants um so it’s very difficult to compare these two players

Um I I think HRI clarson impact that he had on the game has been much bigger than all the Batters on that list um really difficult to compare but yes Ryan reton had a fantastic season 530 runs and cl not far behind considering the amount of balls he faced and now how

Many less he faced then rickleton and La Butler is also opening bat look at all the rest are opening batters except for Vian Moulder comes in there he’s had a fantastic season as well uh I think he even bats lower maybe he’s at six if I remember correctly 456 middle order

Batters who feature on the top run scorers list you got to take your hat to um the incredible effort of them because they faced I think about half the balls of the openers um yes anyway I’m not going to get into that again I I start moving around my chair uh because it

Irritates me um when they put too much emphasis on the top round scorers top Wicked takers similar story I would love for people to compare the Bowers who Bowl in the power plays the middle overs death overs there you can have some awards if you really want to uh be

Critical and maybe even split up the Seamus and the Spinners it’s it’s different different ball game anyway artneil Bartman from the sunrises Eastern Cape um had a fantastic season so far 16 wickets no matter where you bowl at the end of the day you still going to go out there have a positive

Mindset and try and take wickets and Bartman has still certainly done that Lazard Williams from the jobber Super Kings they got knocked out in that last game unfortunately he didn’t play he’s picked up a side strain but he had a wonderful season Dan warl the Australian also plays for the sunrises Eastern Cape

Marco Jansen another sunrises Eastern cap bowler so yes these guys are featuring in the top Wicket takers list and um I mean I always say best bowling attack whenn your tournaments let’s see if that that happens today um but there’s also Junior dala Kesha mahaj and

REE toley not far off and N Ahmed as well who’s not here at the moment but um they’ve also had a great season as a bowling unit the Durban super Giants just going to be a fantastic game today um let’s move on to uh another question the fantasy

Cricket Greek sorry it took a while to load the guys you have always been a big admirer of HRI clarson absolutely spot on and he’s the next big thing if you were the opposition Captain how do you Bowl against him in this form if I’m the opposition Captain I’m faking a

Hamstring injury and I’m going to sit on the side and blindfold myself uh no on a serious note it’s really difficult to Bowl team on a good Cricket Wicket like at the wondrous in that last game there’s um not much room for error there’s nowhere to hide

Whether you’re spinner or simolo when he can trust the bounds when there’s not a lot of swing and C movement um is really difficult to bow to um um I think Yorkers as per usual is always a good play against most most batters and um if

You do have a big boundary um you can come a little bit short at him at the body um ask him to clear the boundary on the leg side um off a short ball um if it’s the big boundary um sometimes that’s your your best best go-to otherwise there’s also that theory of

Bowling wide Yus they tried it in the last game didn’t really work he stepped across with a few connected um also glided one or two past points so it’s just a all round skill better skilled better um if you can land New Yorkers uh like a MinGa and a few other great

Bowlers over the years bumra I think um if you land them he’s he doesn’t seem to play the scoop shots very often he can play it um but maybe you can you can try and bog him down there very difficult with a guy in this kind of form uh we’ve

Seen verro Ki over the years um Chris Gale um so many others I mean BS in formed Superman Gil in that last season in the IPL it’s it’s really difficult to find answers when players are on song um but then that’s where the best Bowlers in the world step up I think of

Abum and so many others Rashid Khan they want the ball in those moments to Bowl against the best batters they don’t hide they want the challenge and sometimes those are the guys who ultimately get those best batters out and um I think that’s maybe as the opposing Captain to

Answer your question you immediately go to your best bow and tell him it’s battle time get this guy out he’s the biggest threat um you maybe carry a slip you show a bit of positive intent and um sometimes that pays off thanks for that question um guys just on that note I’ve

Got another 10 minutes uh I’ve got to rush off to the ground we’ve got a bit of work to do leading up or leading up to that final uh the buildup for commentators usually take a little while we do a lot of recorded stuff as well um

To give you guys the best possible viewing experience uh who do you you think is the find of this season of the sa2 and your predictions for the final um I did go on about Jordan Herman um more uh than I would have wanted to I think you guys are tired of hearing

About him but he’s playing today again he’s the opening Batman for the sunrises Eastern Cape as the tournament’s gone on he’s gone a little bit colder um hopefully this is the day where he stands up again and scores more runs um he also the 100 that he got in this

Tournament was played at the cape at Cape Town at the Newland ground and um that will bring back good me memories for him so the final is here again today hopefully he’ll um get into that rhythm again um so yes I think Ryan it’s not Ryan rlon sorry Jordan Herman is the

Biggest fine Ryan rickleton also put up his hand to play in all formats for South Africa I believe in this season so Ryan rickleton not so much a find um but most definitely put up his hand and then last couple of guys um I would say Le

Depoy um for the Jook Super Kings he plays most of his Cricket in England but um he is South African and certainly put up his hand and a lot of people have taken notice of him and I’m sure you’ll get some gigs in the leagues around the world he’s certainly um one incredible

Talent so those are probably the two that stand out both opening batters both left-handers good on the eye and um both very attacking they had fantastic Seasons all right moving on to the PS Alin the uh Pakistan Super League I think it’s what it’s called um if I’m

Not mistaken um are you coaching pesar zi no I’m not but um that ties in with the surprise that I’ve got for you guys that will not be happening today um but talking about PSL and talking about the zeli guys I have spoken to Babar aam and

Similar to South Africa the West Indies um few other nations but this tournament always just brings out so much um talent that you that you don’t often hear of I think of Harris Ralph um who no one’s heard of like five six seven eight years ago I can’t remember the exact date but

I never heard of this guy and next minute this Oak rocks up in bows 150 um at the at the PSL almost um at the semi- auto tech looking at this guy B luckily he was in my team um but so many um talented players come through especially

In the bowling Department um I think this just a very skillful tournament and it’s good on the eye uh pesar zi obviously um got a a star sted team with Babar Captain the the Gladiators Islamabad United La canders is the team I played for back in the day Molton Sans

And also Karachi Kings and they all your teams so sign in on the 17th of February it’s a beautiful date that because it’s my birthday I will be watching the laor canders my team that I played for so I’ve got to support them stay Lo stay

Loyal to my franchise um I had a lot of fun and they treated me with so much respect um back in the day and um I only have good memories playing for them so I wish them all the best with this tournament and also the zi team course

Wicket keeping position I think he’s a very level-headed guy he’s got great knowledge about the game he’s very steady so hopefully the selectors give him a bit more of a more of a run and more freedom and just less pressure um I I really think there’s there’s a lot of

Goods um in the future with him they let’s hope that they stick with him uh and then what what are they going to get up to replace Shas a of absolutely no idea I have a sneaky suspicion sa rasan might be just um getting his first cap I

Hope for the guy that he gets an opportunity he scored so much runs domestically in the rangi series and I think he deserves an opportunity if you look at his record is just simply outstanding but it’s not easy to to make this decision um it’s going to be a
