Between the three of us where at least one of us hit the outright winner of a tournament eight consecutive weeks including some uh DP uh European tour everyone loves a good DP we’ll be covering that at some point during the season for sure um but like even the weeks we lost we had

Somebody like right in the top five you know in the fight every Sunday afternoon was really entertaining yeah I mean I can really only think of one tournament that off the top of my head that we didn’t have a dog in the fight at then

And it was the one that Brendan went to himself in Connecticut you attend oh when Keegan Bradley won The Travelers yeah you you cursed it by showing up yourself at that that is true and he just ran away with that thing so it became not even that exciting I mean it

Was a fun tournament but he ran away with that thing yeah we we were absolutely dialed in um and you know we’re going to try to be dialed in for you guys this year as well uh we’re coming off a small little Victory we’ll get into that in a minute but um yeah

We’re really excited to debut EMQ get bets Golf and uh we have you know a fun format if you’re into golf you’re G to love this if you’re into gambling you’re G to love this um we’ll just quickly touch on one thing uh since you know

Got to put up this bet that I did hit during the game this a real bet I didn’t pick this off the internet this is real uh any non-quarterback that says that says 16 ,000 folks um I posted Zach’s uh bet here on Twitter and almost all of

The replies were calling BS because of the 300% profit boost um uh but no that’s real folks stop clicking stuff Zack I will click no that’s a real bet folks um he he won $116,000 uh because he bet $100 with a profit boost on there to be a non-quarterback to throw a passing

Touchdown um well it’s not like we do a show where we give out bets here but Zack kept that one to himself yeah Jim makes a good point I also had first touchdown Christian mcaffry I used a bonus bet on that paid another $2,400 so all in all

The BET was a $118,500 hit on one play uh from minimal risk because it was just a bonus bet from a deposit bonus and it was uh it’s really only $100 risk honestly so it’s you know it’s the best bet I’ve ever hit in my life and on mq

Bets we we strive to do that I I wish I’d given out that bet on our Super Bowl show for some more credibility maybe I actually didn’t look at the Twitter go to me and Jim I did I did I did bring it up in passing but I

Mean I would put 10 bucks on that if I knew we were getting delicious trisket crackers yeah I know I understand I understand um but yeah I didn’t read the the Twitter replies people are call BS on it oh all of them all of them are like where 300% profit boost I’ve never

Seen that in my life and then everyone else is like you only get a 300% profit boost if you’ve already lost like 400 Grand like this guy must be getting fleeced no that’s not not remotely the case actually honestly but uh hey whatever they can hate I got the bank

Account statement so yeah no they were just all hating on the Boost but yeah I get you know we I shared the love with you guys a little bit because when we win when one of us wins we like to you know throw throw the other person a bone

In our group because we’re all in it together and that’ll be a theme of EMQ bets we uh of of the golf here we have our own bets but this is a group Enterprise and last year it was absolutely incredible how well we did so

We want to repeat that it was and um we mentioned how well we did I do think it it also Bears mentioning we did that well while also having agonizing second places all over the place oh my God yeah I mean we just had one two weeks ago

With Ben on yeah who just ripped our guts out by missing a four foot butt in the playoff that’s that’s actually a great transition um we’ll do a little recap of the PGA season to date will get you set up for where we’re going here but Jim why don’t you just quickly read

Us off what the W the tournaments and the winners I think there’s been about five PGA Tour tournaments so far and and so we can get into a little recap so we had the century which Chris Kirk won and then we had the Sony Open and we had Grayson Murray as a winner

Had we had the American Express and amateur Nick Dunlap won it uh we had the Farmers Insurance open and Matthew Pavone from the DP World Tour won it and then we had the shortened Pebble Beach program and Windam Clark won it while setting the course record yep and uh then we had the

Phoenix open this past week and Nick Taylor won it yeah so it’s been kind of a crazy season so far in terms of long shot winners obviously amateur is the first amateur to win since 1991 Phil Mickelson when Nick Dunlap won uh out in the desert there and then you got

Matthew pavon who was a huge long shot in that tournament from France he had some good results on the DP tour he was actually relevant in the British Open for a couple rounds last year as well um but he broke through played an incredibly clutch 18th hole Chris Kirk

Was a long shot Nick Taylor was I think he was plus 4,000 last week brenon you had him no I yeah but I I bet him live uh after the second hole um so he I I didn’t actually get exactly his odds his odds were uh very long the his odds

Opening the tournament I think we’re plus 7,000 yeah um way down going forward fun fact though um though the last six the last six PGA Tour tournaments uh the outright winner has not been in the top 25 people in terms of odds to win um that’s crazy so you’re you’re really you

Had to you had to be going down the board uh to to snag it yeah it’s been it’s been a absolutely crazy start we almost had well I mean we had a playoff last week at the Waste Management Open um or as I like to call it the garbage removal open um obviously

A crazy scene with all those fans going nuts uh some controversy with the fan interaction fan interactions and some player interactions this week overing yeah they they they actually released report released a report that they’re going to dial it back in next year um and yeah a lot of drinking a lot

Of all that stuff just dial back in the showing the 16th hole on the whole broadcast the entire broadcast being the the kizner and smiley Comedy Hour uh where we gotta I gotta watch sunj M try and shipped for bogey uh while he’s plus one and the tournament is there’s six

Guys battling at minus33 at the time yeah no the the Saturday coverage was absurd it was 90% just the 16th hole of people that were irrelevant to the outcome of the golf tournament um then we’ll get to who’s winning uh that’s coming that’s that’s what the show is

Here in about 10 minutes we’ll get there um yeah but so thoughts Jim on why maybe you think I’m going to put you on the spot in your first appearance on the show why do you think we’ve seen such a a unique and you know like long shot

Start to the PGA Tour season why have why have so many long odds and kind of no names been winning yeah I mean I don’t know if I have a great answer for that but I I think the tour is just so good now that

So many guys can go out there any day and put up a number you I mean and you know if anybody in the top 25 is off a little bit they can get caught by a guy who’s 50th on the list you know there’s not a huge separation in Talent from one

To 50 where any of those guys can win any week yeah I think that’s really well said actually um it does seem like you know like 20 years ago there were you know 10 go dominant golfers obviously had Tiger Woods but there was you know there’s 10 guys who are likely winning

Every week and then kind of like if if someone won you know long shots would come in you know one every five or six tournaments but now it does it does seem way more wide open and the youth movement um is is crazy brenon your thoughts yeah I have I have a few

Thoughts on that um so I got three answers to your question that I think uh all three are play a factor uh one is is the mass Exodus to live uh has thinned out part of the field so there are seven top golfers who aren’t in the field

Um and then early in the season uh there’s also a couple others who aren’t in each field um you know Rory hasn’t been playing much uh Victor hin didn’t play last week you you have each field has not been the full great field plus all the live guys gone um and then the

Third which combines with the fourth is um the coures so far early in the year have played easy uh they’ve played easy both because they’ve been wet because of weather um so everything’s been like lift in place um you’ve had you’ve had the courses play easy the winning scores

Have been around 20 under or better on all these courses and that makes more opportunity for the guys that are middle of the pack guys um who one of them has a great time and they can they can make a run at it usually you see the cream

Rise to the top more when the course plays hard um it almost as a guarantee if the course plays real tough the guys that are at the top are goingon to be the best guys I will say I still think last week yes you end up with Nick Taylor

Um but below them it was all of the rest of the best players like the next bunch of guys you saw Justin Thomas Scotty Sheffer Jordan spe um and then the my last uh answer to the question is I think there’s a really big influx right now of young players and European

Players um breaking in into the PGA Tour yeah and and not to interrupt and not to interrupt you but way more polished than you’ve than we’ve seen in the past keep going because there’s a bunch of guys who aren’t like just coming from Europe there’s a bunch of guys whove played

Professional golf in Europe for a couple years now in one that are coming and playing on the PGA tour that are good real professional golfers uh we’ve seen Nikolai hoard we’ve seen uh pavon uh D Thomas dri has been incredible um there’s been a bunch of these guys uh

And then the youth movement too Dunlap Oar um there’s there’s a huge influx of those guys and so yeah maybe you’re seeing long odds but once you watch it it’s like very quickly those guys aren’t gonna have long odds anymore uh we’ll talk about ludvig in a minute he doesn’t

Anymore you know there’s a few of that too yeah no absolutely and the level of amateur golf below has just improved to the point where the level of competition is just in increasingly risen over the last 20 15 10 years these players aren’t coming into the PGA tour now as you know

Clearly like the bottom quarter of the of the grouping of golfers there a lot of these guys are ready to compete at the highest level and you’re like you said the influx from Europe the youth movement um you know the analytics and the way they’re coaching uh players

Players are just way more prepared to play week to week than they used to be that being said that being said it’s still panned out last year the best guys won the vast majority of the tournaments U you had more than half the tournaments won by either John ROM Victor hland uh

Scotty Sheffer uh and and you know a lot of them are filled out by the the people right behind them the majors you’ve got Brooks right there you know what I mean like so yes but the the big tournaments the Signature Events and the majors

We still saw for the most part uh the the favorites rising to the top yeah okay so we gave you the recap there of kind of the season to date our thoughts on uh you know how golf is right now the current state of golf um like we said we

We bet last week we were you know we started to get really involved last week because we knew Super Bowl was going to end golf was going to really start going the Waste Management Open kind of kicks off it’s like the first real signature event of the PGA Tour season I mean it’s

Quite literally not but yes I get what you’re saying no you know I mean that people kind of start use the proper noun right people start to pay attention I’m saying really uh they and you know it’s a high-profile tournament but yes regard regardless um we all were heavy on

Scotty sheffler um he looked great for a while um Jim why don’t you why don’t you share some Scotty thoughts at the beginning here I love him and I hate him the guy’s awesome but he I mean we talk about his putting he actually gain Strokes putting

This weekend but it feels like he never makes anything I mean the guy’s just I mean I didn’t follow tiger very much when I was younger but he’s just the greatest golfer off the tea until he gets on the green I’ve ever seen but he it’s just maddening watching him

Especially having money on him with short odds yeah it’s it’s becoming a problem it’s like it is it is a lot like Tiger Woods except tiger made all the putts was and and won by 10 Strokes mostly um yeah statistically over the last three years Scotty T de green is Tiger

Woods it’s he’s it’s one of the best players we’ve ever seen T de green over a three-year window um and and Jim pointed out that The Strokes gain putting he did putt a lot better some Sunday um he had a couple huge mistakes but overall he putted a lot better he

Also his his putting is actually worse than it appears statistically because he does here and there get streaky and make a bunch of long ones um he just cannot putt from six to 12 feet so much that you see it so much what 10 what was that Jim didn’t he

Have like a 10 out of 14 streak where he birdied on Sunday yeah it was technically the third round but he was playing on on he was playing on I thought it was like the second half of the third and the first half of the fourth or yeah yeah that that sounds

About right yeah um yeah the guy is frustr really frustrating to watch and bet on because like Jim said you get you get short odds on him um because he’s obviously a tremendous golfer and he wins a lot but you know then you sit there watching golf which we’re we love

To do we’re obsessed with sitting there and watching the actual golf Jim loves to listen to it on the radio video which is pretty sick actually um but we all we all we all you know we’re all very engaged this isn’t just like we’re done

With football what are we going to do no we’re very engaged at golf we’re we’re borderline obsessed with watching PGA Tour and watching Scotty is just it’s it’s like pricked by a thousand paper cuts it’s it’s you know you’re on the green for 10f footer every week every

Hole and you bet this guy every week and he he just misses these pots over and over again and he’s right there at the end of the tournament and you’re like if this guy just made a couple more putts he wins this tournament easily so he’s a very frustrating guy it’s a perfect

Transition to the tournament that we’ll be talking about in this show we’ve talked long enough let’s get into it we’re going to do the Genesis Invitational this is from California the LA area renowned for being kind of Tiger Woods’s kind of his home tournament even though he’s never won this tournament

He’s the host of the tournament yeah he’s never won this tournament he’s never actually played particularly good at at Riviera right yeah Riviera Golf Course obviously a super famous course this tournament’s been going on for almost a 100 years now I believe it’s the 998th Year this year um it’s a tough

Course it plays to about minus 14 the winner typically um and it’s challenging it’s long the rough is unique and thick players complain about it a lot the the announcers incessantly talk about the kakuya grass I almost ripped my ears off a couple years ago and the POA greens

Yeah the POA anua POA anua greens and the kak Kaku grass almost yeah it’s enough to stab a like a pencil in your ear but the PO is a real Factor though there’s like so much data on guys who just can or can’t putt on POA it’s crazy

Same issue actually at Pebble Beach a lot of players don’t love the conditions there pill’s been skipping Pebble Beach a lot lately the last couple years because the weather’s not great you saw it this year the weather was bad at pedal beats the greens they complain

About got the same greens here but a lot of guys don’t skip here people get really up for the Genesis uh you got pretty much a full field of the guys who are eligible to play PGA uh but this another unique part of this event there’s only 71 people invited total um

And the top 50 make the cut and ties or anyone within 10 Strokes the lead so technically the entire field can make the the cut that won’t happen of course but this unique tournament where 70 guys and and 50 of them are going to playing all four rounds so you have a better

Shot to be in it really you really do because you’re not going to lose half the field when you pick a guy so you got a good shot this week some of the top 40 top 30 lines are really Lo are really short odds because of that but we’re

Gonna get into that so yeah and just just for those who who might not know I mean this is a signature event on the PGA tour this year with the PJ tour’s new rules um Signature Events are they’re trying to encourage it to be the best field possible if it’s a signature

Event and you are qualified to play you pretty much do play um so that’s how you get the best field they pretty much essentially have to play if it’s a signature event unless they’re injured um so the signature event is going to have all of the best players it’s

Everyone who is qualified to play uh is gonna play um and so you have a real nice field but this is one of the signature events that actually has a a limited field too um which does make it interesting with the just what seven you

Said 71 is what the number is 71 guys because Charlie Hoffman played his way in despite losing in that playoff to Nick Taylor last week which uh we cashed a little bit there so but yeah we’re here let’s let’s bring up the board let’s look at the top guys let’s have a

Quick conversation about thep I I wantan to I don’t want to quite get there yet I want to do a little history again of it uh the recent winners John ROM won last year um over Max hom Max hom uh made a he was playing the best golf you’ve ever

Seen in your life for the first three rounds to that that tournament um I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person putt better than hom puted in that tournament last year um if you guys remember and hom kind of a little bit came apart a

Bit uh the the the fourth round and and ROM chased him down and beat him um the two of them basically ran away with it uh last year uh the year before Neeman won uh Neeman played insane um yeah obviously he’s gone on live Ram gone on

Live yeah uh and three years ago Max homo won uh Max has played insanely well here uh four years ago Adam Scott won and before that JB Holmes uh yeah believe it or not um and before that Dustin Johnson won and Bubba Watson won twice um so the history of it is

Interesting um it seems like most guys who win here um are guys who are great off the te and Putt well um yeah long long off the tea really long off the tea and puwell uh seems to be the guys who win here um and then there’s a group of guys who

Just weirdly play really well here we’ll talk about that in a second um but yeah so the history I mean the last two guys who won are on Liv uh Max hom would be in this field the guy who over the last three years has played the best here um

But yeah it’s not the kind ofour you know it’s not the kind of tournament where you get an exemption if you won the pass like JB Holmes is not gonna play here this week from what I understand I think so uh so I’m gonna bring up the screen um get rid of all

This other stuff for me uh let’s bring up the odds we’re going to look at just the top odds guys um and we’re gonna have a little chat before we give out our bets okay um we just talked about Scotty Sheffer um I think we talked a

Little bit enough about him I do want to just get your your thoughts on going forward we all were invested in him last week um I still think it was a good bet last week obviously he was right there he should have won that tournament um he should have easily won that tournament

Uh but I’m starting to no longer believe Scotty can win tournaments unless he just runs away with it by the third round uh if it’s like within a shot in the fourth round do you really trust him he he’s starting to be he’s starting to

Become a guy who is a little shaky in the clutch fourth round moments you you’ve seen it he’s blown the last two tour championships he blew that I mean he didn’t really blow that that tournament to Victor last year but I mean it was absolutely but to me it’s

Because Scotty’s game is Just consistency it’s not like he can turn it on it’s like he’s just always really good so his always really good sometimes might just by the law of averages make him walk away with the win like win by five Strokes I was saying two guys right

There with him he just is going to play the same if one of them gets the heat they’re gonna beat him you know uh and like a pace car you know what I mean I’m starting go there and do minus four every day and if you can do better than

Minus four you beat Scotty you but he’s always going to be that consistent guy yeah my view is I’m starting to think Scotty with as short of odds as they’re giving us isn’t really worth it anymore he might be worth just always betting a bunch on him to be top 10 because that’s

Gonna pay that’s gonna pay like 90% of the time um but betting him to win outright because because of his odds you almost have to make him your main investment uh you have to like be heavy on him and like I just don’t trust him to finish enough just pick your spots I

Guess but yeah I I I kind of agree I liked Scotty last year a lot when we were getting plus 900 plus a th000 a lot and I mean Scotty I I I don’t have the numbers in front of I’m pulling them up right now actually yeah you know this is

Actually incredible you know this the number one golfer in the world this a guy we consider a dominant incredible golfer which he is but he only has six wins on it’s it’s unbelievable he only has six wins yeah he only has six wins on tart two of them are the are the

Waste Management Open uh he he only won he only won twice last year despite the fact that he was in the top 10 what was it uh was it like 20 almost 20 times yeah well the crazy thing last year he only won twice it was the waste

Management and the players yeah early early on in the season he didn’t win after March no no no he he did not win after March it’s a great point he’s only got like I said he’s only got six wins in his career so I mean yeah I think you

Make a really sound Point here that the juice might not be worth the squeeze right now with Scotty until he proves he can actually win a couple of these tournaments or you just really like the spot and the course to be like he’s gonna run away with it like I just don’t

Like betting him anymore if I think it’s gonna be close you know no I’m with you when you can’t putt I mean clutch golf comes down to putting and Scotty’s always going to be on the green and he’s hard to trust with the putter we’ve gone

I mean we’re gonna beat this horse to death the entire year unless he miraculously turns it around becomes a great putter so this will be a common theme of this show Jim what are your thoughts on Scotty for this round for this tournament for this tournament for

This tournament I mean he’s not on my sheet at all um I shouldn’t say that I have him T10 in a parlay but I mean I just think he’s always going to be at the top of the list but I don’t trust him to win yeah

So you’re on the same page as us and Y so yeah I think I think there’s a world obviously there’s always a world where he wins this tournament I don’t think his odds at plus 650 are currently worth betting him you know what I absolutely agree if I was getting

Sheffer here at plus a thousand maybe a little better um I would I would definitely be putting some money on him but at 650 with what he’s shown recently I’m not doing it uh you guys got any other guys guys you want to talk about

Up on the top of the board sorry Jim if I was getting like a, or 1,200 on Scotty I would bet him every week just as a hedge to my other bets yeah you know what I mean I just have him in the mix because he’s gonna

Be right there yeah but yeah but they 650 like I said last year we were getting 800 900,000 lines from him we’re just not getting them anymore last week he was plus 450 for for God’s sakes and uh I mean he finished what third or fourth but it didn’t matter yeah um

Anyway so yeah Jim Jim go ahead and give me your uh pick out a guy on this board here we’re just kind of discussing the top guys here pick out a guy you want to discuss real quick and we’ll talk about yes I want to hear your guys’ thoughts um are

You worried about Victor hland I mean he withdrew uh was it last week or the week before uh we’ve seen some struggles with his short game I know he just got rid of his short game coach which is not always a great thing to do um yeah so I’m

Interested to hear your thoughts on that yeah I think it’s actually wild he got rid of his short game coach with how much his short game improved remember that was the big knock on Victor hin the last two years of his career the guy came I haven’t even heard why he got rid

Of him right like it must be a personal thing is my guess yeah I actually don’t know um but you’d think a guy who basically turned you from a good player with a giant hole in your game to a complete golfer in a stretch of one season and he had you know absolute

Rocket ship season last year especially the way he end of the season so it is very confusing why the short G coach is suddenly G yeah Brendon yeah I mean I I I don’t have I don’t know anything about that so I really can’t comment on it I’m

Gonna comment on Victor’s game um he obviously the last half the fall the last the end of last year uh the FedEx Cup all that he was the best golfer in the world he was absolutely lights out unbelievable on fire um but the main reason for that was his his irons um he

Was the best golfer in the world for that window of time from 140 to 180 yards um right now he’s not playing well with his long irons um and that is kind of the key to whether Victor plays good is when he gets dialed in like yes obviously the reason he never broke

Through before was the around the green he was a disaster and now he’s really good um and we’ll see that that’s concerning that firing the guy but the bigger issue is like if you’re gonna bet Victor you’re betting him because of his approach shots um because he’s

Unbelievable when he gets locked in it becomes like the craziest thing you’ve ever seen the guy just becomes automatic at knocking the ball to to six feet over and over again um that being said uh I have no doubt that because of how good Victor havin is uh there is every chance

In the world that he took a week off uh went to the driving range and will show up awesome um I I’m not sure uh but I’m I’m not bullish or bearish on him in this uh I expect that within a few weeks Victor Holland’s gonna be one of the

Best players uh in one of the tournaments right like pretty quickly so I I don’t think there’s any glaring issue I haven’t seen any real problem with him he just hasn’t like risen to the top and been the the guy we saw in the fall um but he’s gonna be yeah I’m

I’m I’m fading him here in this spot I mean he I don’t think for a guy who hasn’t been consistent to start this golf season who hasn’t really been present that much uh and with the issues with the coach I don’t feel like 1400 is

A good enough number here uh in in this this spot he has play he has one good result here I believe in the though but I I don’t know if this course fully favors him at the moment so I’m not has havin has played very well here

Uh in his in his last 12 rounds uh at Riviera um he’s actually the third best against his own uh against his own shots gained so he’s he’s he’s actually played quite well right um well it’s probably his only 12 rounds of his career here

Yeah yes yeah what he I think he had a top five I believe one top five I’m not tce T twice top five twice had a T4 in 2022 and a T5 in 2021 okay all right well um so he’s had two good results here I’m still not I’m

Still not on him this week I’m just GNA avoid him yeah he’s plus 2.5 shots gained at this course so he he is good here he’s very good here and he’s a great golfer but I just I I need him to show me that he’s back and confident

Before I put a wager on him at plus 1400 right now um the next guy to discuss is in my opinion is the always Mercurial Rory mroy yeah Rory is like you know the top of Rory’s golf game is in my belief when he’s playing his absolute best

Totally dialed in the best golfer in golf the best golfer in the world uh and it just by a very slight margin over a guy like John ROM and and Scotty sheffler but there’s just something about when when Rory’s hitting it 3 350 every hole hitting an iron to 8 feet and

Actually making putts that I think he is just the number one golfer but that doesn’t that level is very inconsistent for Rory there’s always a the Rory Baseline is going to be a good golfer right in the mix um but he struggles to turn it on for all four rounds and he

Really struggles in the final round uh with last year was insane he was always right there at the top of leaderboard and just didn’t get I mean he could have had 10 wins last year quite frankly but I believe he only had three or four um

And uh the knock on Rory is definitely his putting when sometimes he just goes he just looks like he’s completely lost out there with the putter he had that weird stretch last year where he couldn’t hit an he couldn’t hit a wedge for a couple rounds and yeah sometimes

He loses the driver as well so Rory is just like Rory’s almost like a regular golfer like a like one of us out there it’s like some days it’s all working and it’s like you feel really good about yourself and then other days you’re like

What what the heck is going on with this guy um so yeah Rory’s always very interesting to talk about um and still one of the top golfers it’s just he is hard to trust and frustrating to watch on Sundays someone uh yeah I I give a brief

Opinion um all of what you said um plus a thousand is kind of pretty good odds if you’re betting Rory mroy it is um I don’t I this course should benefit him because you can just blast your driver um and the long drive is like half the

Key everyone who wins here blasts their driver basically every everyone who wins it’s bang the driver way out there um and then make putts uh that’s pretty much what you have to be able to do to win here um pretty much nobody wins who who doesn’t at least blast the driveway

Out there um but also it seems like everyone who wins uh hits a fade um and Rory’s a big draw guy yeah um so I think that might be a factor but and then the other part I just want to say Rory looked horrible uh at Pebble Beach um

And blew up uh like right away but but but but for the first the first 13 holes he did look like the best golf for and then he came apart he just came apart once he made the one mistake he just came apart but if there’s any guy in the

Field in a golf tournament that I think can play absolutely terrible and then just show up the next week and be the best golfer you’ve ever seen it’s him yeah I mean he’s been playing over in Dubai and he has a second place and a first

Place finish in his last three events uh not Pebble being the third obviously so the guy’s a machine I mean he’s great um I don’t like him personally and so I won’t be betting him it’s just a little thing I do um but yeah I mean the guy’s

A great golfer there’s no doubt about it yeah and I we all have our personal biases against golfers like uh you know I hate Matt coocher and Matt F Pat rck and and you know Windam Clark I just despise those people for some whatever reason you know you got you gotta have R

You gotta have rooting interests and and guys you don’t like and guys you do like in golf um but yeah I understand Rory is kind of jumped the shark on his personality the last couple years you know being like The Lovable guy who doesn’t really do anything out of place

Then kind of being forced into being like the PG a spokesperson against Liv kind of being thrown on the The Bus by J kind of doing Liv right still exactly then he goes and plays every tournament that’s in Dubai yeah he goes and plays

For the oil money in Dubai like it’s I I feel bad for him but also feel like he’s dug he’s made his own bed dug his own grave and um and his behavior at the r Rider cup too so you know yeah I totally get it Jim he’s he’s still my favorite

Golfer but uh you know we don’t have to agree on everything I am I will kick off finally kick off the actual betting portion of the show I am taking Roy M to win this golf tournament um obviously he’s extremely skilled he has had pretty

Good results here at times um and yeah I mean he hits it really far it’s just basically a gamble on the fact that you don’t seem you’re not going to get plus a thousand too too often on Rory uh The Field’s deep so maybe that’s why the

Odds are a little better uh but I’m getting plus a thousand and the guy can turn it on any point I also like him but that’s not really why I’m betting him here I just think he has a good shot at those odds and I you know next week

It’ll probably be plus 700 so I’ll take a thousand when I can get it with Roy mroy that’s my official the first official bet on EMQ bets golf is me betting Rory mcky all right I’ll go second and we’ll go to Jim um so we’re we’re doing our

Outright winners here Zach Scott Rory is his first one um I’m I’m like weirdly G to have a hard time betting anyone at the top uh at the top here um I’m going to start it out uh with my guy I’m doing L go bear um yeah it’s scary to bet a

Guy’s first time playing this tournament uh I think that’s my number one trepidation about this uh but there’s nobody playing golf T to Green better than him uh he is off the te he’s the best golfer in the world right now it’s absolutely insane um and this course uh

Your your typical approach shot is from about it averages about 170 yards and he is number one on tour uh between 160 and 190 right now um in approach shots uh you gotta love the guy he’s he’s got all the skills that that are suited to this course he’s playing the most consistent

Golf um and if he putts well I think he’s gonna win I think if he putts well he’s gonna win this tournament uh I love plus 2000 still with him I know where finally he’s creeping up there where he’s like people have realized this guy’s just really good um but I’m gonna

Take him at plus 2,000 to win uh I I think he’s gonna win the tournament I my only nervous thing is it feels like everyone who wins here has played here before um so that part makes me a little nervous about it and I can’t I can’t

Find him ever having played here before I he must have in college but I I didn’t see it um but you know he probably did all week and he didn’t play uh this past weekend in the waste management so I’m going ludvig uh we we all love the guy

We’re big on the guy uh I’m taking him to win two two things I want to say here um first off yeah it’s it’s you know he’s a great golfer he’s an absolute technician out there remember that stat last year about how no one hit the iron straighter than him they were like

Almost perfectly straight it was incredible yeah it’s it’s like of nothing I’ve ever seen the only two things that worried me about Oar at this moment which we used to call aberer but apparently it’s O um a little circle above the a at you right exactly right

Some Scandinavian stuff uh just a quick aside Scandinavians are really jumping into the PGA tour right now we like there’s a Euro Invasion here yeah we we love the scos um but yeah I just his youth concerns me somewhat because you never know if it’s like you never know

If he’s fully mentally locked into everything because he’s so young and and so inexperienced on the PGA tour but I mean we got and my second problem with him is we got him a ton last year and he won some tournaments and it was awesome and we cashed some big bets on him

Including Jim cashing some top T and top fives on him as well um but his odds were 6,000 5,000 and we’re only getting 2,000 here and I would just love to see this number at 3,000 before I bet it it’s all I’m saying I think it’s a fine

Bet I’m just saying if he’s not locked in and he’s playing this well God help the tour going in the in the future I mean once he gets a little bit more experience under his belt he’s going to be running away with everything yeah it stinks how quick they’ve already

Realized that like that’s why we’re getting 2,000 because this guy is a this guy really is A600 uh feels a lot he feels a lot like a havin copycat in terms of uh you know his demeanor and the way he just goes out there and feels

Like a watching your machine yep yep all right Jimmy yeah um I mean Brendan talked about him a little bit earlier but I’m I have to go with Max h i mean he plays this course so well over the last five years um course I lost what I was

Looking at uh he’s finished second T10 first T5 and t37 over the last five years I mean this guy’s just going to be in it at this course um I like the number what is he 1800 I think yeah 1800 um I love those odds for him um his

Putting has not been as great so far in the fresh season that we have here as it was last year I mean last year he was sixth overall in shks gain putting which is phenomenal I love that um he’s great off the te I worry a little bit with um hitting the

Fairways this week I mean I don’t know if they’re going to get it to dry out or not I know they’ve gotten a lot of rain out there the last two weeks um and these Fairways a little bit narrow so if it’s dried out and the ball’s going to

Run out maybe it’s not quite as accurate and that cost him getting into the kakuya but uh you know he should be all right I think he’s gonna be right at the top of the list come Sunday and uh at 1800 I like my chances with them yeah

Yeah I I I mean how can you I can’t argue with you based on the fact that his past results are so good he’s a local Hometown boy he he’s played here a ton he’s comfortable here um and you know he really gets up for this event remember how happy and genuinely

Overjoyed he was when he won this event got to shake hands with tiger it was like his dream come true it was a very cool moment when he won um and then last year obviously played excellent as well my only issue is he’s just has not

Looked in form so far this season this is I wanna like I think there’s two sides to this bet which is one you’re weighing two things one is this guy owns this golf course this guy is like made for this golf course this is his tournament I think he believes this is

His tournament I think he has confidence playing here uh last year if you remember he was devastated he didn’t win he thought he should have won um and I mean all the numbers say he should have won he just kind of came apart a little in the last round

Um but then you also have to weigh like will the fact that he’s here and so comfortable fix a lot of the problem he’s had in the last couple months he just has been wildly inconsistent off the tea um and then he like either is so

Hot or so cold on the green that I I don’t know I think these greens he is in the last four years putting here the like the best numbers anyone’s ever putt anywhere he’s so good at putting here um so that will probably be fine he’s probably gonna putt awesome uh the

Question is how is he going to be off the te my real issue with Max is I he’s so good but he always is bad like for one stretch yeah he has he has a little mental block sometimes where he like gets double bogeys and you’re like what

Is going on with this guy um but when this guy when this guy plays a full good round of golf I mean you can almost book A minus five minus six out of him but yeah I don’t hate get you know you’re your gambling with the is he going to be

The one who because it’s this course he’s back to maxom or are you that he’s the guy he’s just having problems uh I think 1800’s pretty sick odds for a guy who’s top five in this tournament literally every time you know so yeah I I can’t really hate on that yeah um his

Numbers seven been terrible this year but off the te he’s 70th which isn’t fantastic but he’s stilling Strokes on the field yeah yeah so so the no yeah I I it’s I mean I can’t argue with the BET Jim it’s a it’s a it’s a sound bet with

Sound with sound reasoning um and if and if anything’s going to fix his current issues it’s definitely waking up and going out to the first hole at this course that he’s so comfortable on um but yeah so so when we’re doing this segment you know typically what we’re

Right here at the top with these guys as well I got Rory at a th my second guy I’m going with I’m going with Colin morawa at plus 1600 um he has played exceptional here he’s also a California Kid he’s pretty comfortable uh he has some really good results can anyone pull

Up the results for me so I don’t sound like a a jackass of Colin Mara Jim pull it up uh yeah I mean his results here or his results on this year here here here yeah he’s played pretty good here let me get up for yeah let me just say while Jim looks

That up he fits sort of the I was talking about hits a fade um I think this course is built for people who hit Fades uh is a great California golfer um had so much success playing in California so I like both those elements of marawa here yeah um yeah so guy the

Guy’s done very well here he had a T6 last year a T2 in 2022 uh then t43 and t26 the years before that right right he was still young though and getting into his element um but but yeah the last two years are basically what I’m basing this

On I I like the and I like the way he’s played this season he’s he had that weird stretch dating back to the US Open at uh in in massach at Brook line yeah the at the Country Club he around that tournament when whenever that was 200 literally in the middle of that

Tournament he lost his game right yeah he he he just and it took him about a year to get back on track is almost as what we’re witnessing what we witnessed with Justin Thomas like total mental breakdown collapse can’t hit your irons all of a sudden when that’s the top

Thing you do and then and morow has recovered he’s played a lot better lately he’s looked back in form I believe the opening Tournament of the year he he gave it a good run and almost beat Chris Kirk it was either that or the second tournament but he had a

Really good performance about a month ago um I think he’s back and locked in I like him at this course, 1600 not exactly what I want to get I’d prefer like a 2,000 here on him but I’m going to go ahead roll the dice I think morawa

Is in the mix at the end of the tournament has a chance to win it yeah I mean marawa has been playing fantastic uh over the over the last six months he’s been absolutely fantastic uh he’s looked like Colin marawa Jim Jim how do you feel about

Morawa here I love morawa I have him in a couple of parlays and stuff the guy’s terrific I love his approach play hopefully he’s got that locked in this weekend because it’s going to be important yeah absolutely um all right let’s it’s Brendan’s turn now for your second my second guy to

Win um yeah this one is uh I gotta do it I just I think the way the guy’s playing there’s one thing stopping him from winning tournaments and I think everything about this tournament fits the way he’s playing if he can fix one thing and that’s Tony

Feno uh plus 3,000 Tony fow uh over the last month there’s nobody better off the tea uh Tony feno is hitting the ball 10 miles right down the middle over and over the guy just can’t make a putt and and you’ve seen it it’s in his head he’s

Been shaky it’s been a bit of a mess but I he just took a week off uh he’s really I mean the guy’s played unbelievable outside of putting uh and I mean he’s always been right on the brink of being like a top guy without being able to be

It um I think this course really suits his game well uh he has played well here in the past he’s been playing really well outside of his weird shaky Yips putting game um for the Zack has toilet paper out that’s you know there’s a lot

Going on here um I like Tony Fen out here I love his odds at plus 3,000 I sort of like how Windam Clark uh randomly fixed his putting and then just instantly won uh if Tony feno can fix his putting at all even just putt kind of okay uh everything else about his

Game right now is ready to win uh so I’m gonna take Tony Fen I think this course really suits him well uh and I like the way he’s he I mean his numbers here in the past are good I think Tony feno can win this tournament he’s had good

Results here in the past um you know my only trepidation with Tony is I feel like I I’m getting Dr Jackal or Mr Hyde with this dude all the time and and I and I just don’t fully trust him right now with his form but he has looked

Comfortable here he does hit it long and when he get in a Groove he’s uh he’s very capable Jim Jim yeah yeah I mean all those things um I don’t know very much about Tony feno honestly so I don’t have much of an opinion on him I know he’s played

Well here in the past um but yeah I don’t have much of an opinion on Tony F now yeah I mean he got a couple wins last year I think he had one one or two wins last year he had a really hot stretch but he’s just he’s very

Inconsistent he can he can make the cut or be leading the tournament after two rounds almost on on any given week so he’s a he’s a curious cat is Jim’s camera Frozen on your screen yeah Jim’s camera is Frozen uh still got his audio though

Of this whole big group up here um and is right on the edge of winning a tournament um in the last month I mean he’s he seems to have his whole game back uh he’s coming in the top 10 in every tournament uh he looks really good

He I do trust if it’s tight and like we get the back nine and it’s a he’s tied for the lead I actually think he’ll win you know um so I actually like JT yeah uh Jim go ahead and restart your whole computer we’ll we’ll talk about some

Junk we’ll talk about nonsense till you get back restart the whole computer um it’s it’s going to be your only hope at this point um but yeah we look forward to your return um yeah just Thomas is in great form right now I think he’s got

Like I I want to say he’s been top 10 four times already this season yeah he’s on fire uh he’s been he’s been fourth third third sixth 12th yeah yeah I mean that’s incredible no worse than a than a top 12 this entire season he’s been

Playing a lot he I think he was very motivated because he almost was he almost got he almost embarrassed himself with his play last year it was I mean it was a very hot point topic on the PGA tour last year this guy can’t play golf

Right now uh this guy didn’t even make the FedEx Cup playoffs was the top 70 golfers make it um and you know for a guy of his stature a two-time major champion and you know one of the main faces of American Golf it was very low point for him so I never particularly

Love Justin Thomas as a person but I it was cool to see him come back and start playing better Golf and obviously he’s he’s back in that form that you’re used to seeing and you know what’s funny you talk about a guy like Scotty sheffler talk about how Domin is number one the

World he only got six career wins I know he hasn’t had his longest career Justin Thomas has like 20 career victories on the PG tour this guy wins events um he’s had a really really strong career it’s nice to see him back in the fold amongst

The elite golfers and uh yeah if down down here on the show I actually have him I have him in a bet at one point so I like him I like him in this tournament yeah so I agree with you um I also have

Him in a bet um so we’re we’re uh we’re agreeing on that um any other guy you want to talk about what should we yeah no no go go actually let’s talk about Patrick Klay right there at plus 1600 uh I’ll tell you what about Patrick kley

Patrick Klay nearly made it into my picks here it was I was kind of between him and morawa in terms of uh God please tell me his yes there he is good yes finish your kly thought Jim’s back my Klay thought is if I had a fourth bet

Here I’d be betting uh I’d be betting uh Patrick Klay um I put a little bit on him on the side I think he’s a good bet here he plays well here he hasn’t had a terrific start to this year he’s had some good events in some kind of where

He looked really bad but um I think Klay is is a decent shot here if I had another bet on the show I’d be betting him I have two opinions on that one one is yeah he’s actually played really good here um over the last two years he just

Is one of the most consistent golfers on on tour um you can pretty much rely on him to play pretty good um he also has this can’t win on Sunday thing sneaky yeah because he’s right there so often and I feel like over the last month he’s

Like lost it with his driver a bit y um but I do agree with you like he’s who I don’t want to win and think could you know um but I just think I don’t trust don’t like his odds enough for a guy who can’t close and who I don’t think is

Driving the ball well on this course where you really need to drive it well um but you know he’s so good that he is like like some of the other examp it could just be fixed right now this tournament’s kind of funny because there’s a there’s a a grouping of guys

Here that aren’t playing their best golf but it’s like a get right tournament for them because they had good pass results like Xander Patrick Klay uh not Mor hom yeah yeah right like a bunch a bunch of guys who have really good pass results but haven’t had a great start to this

Year and Victor hlin as well um so Jim just so you know we’ve had far worse technical difficulties on this show before uh yeah it’s Jimmy Met’s first first program so we uh we did some camera work here Jim give us give us your second guy oh we we didn’t we just

We just shot the shot the [ __ ] talked about Justin Thomas and Patrick kley yeah talk the little golf yep yeah exactly ball yeah I mean the I’m taking second it’s just one of my favorite golfers he just came over from the DP World Tour I’m going with Nikolai

Hoggard or hoard however you pronounce it I think it’s hoard hoard I think it’s hoard um I love his odds at 5,000 um was 5,500 last night which was even sweeter um but going back to his last five events including the DP World Tour he

Has a t31 a second a t7 a T25 and a first place finish um the guy just knows how to win he’s terrific um he does All Phases of the game well I I just I don’t see him not being a a weekly contender in the top 10 going

Forward yeah is that your second one Jim that’s his second that’s my second one well you’re going long for number two huh yeah going long for number two well Jim I’ll tell you what uh I didn’t know if it would happen in the first show we

He’s up and coming he’s won a couple dp2 events and he he’s in good form I get him confused with his brother Rasmus sometimes I believe this is the one who was in the Ryder Cup right BR Nikolai was in the the rer cupol is the higher ranked World golfer he’s slightly better

Than his brother rasm I like Rasmus too though yeah definitely um but I think at this point Nikolai is a slightly better golfer and I do love his odds I did agree with Jim I I loved him when they were 5500 last night they’re 5,000 now

But I’m I’m still going with them I think he has a good chance to contend here and be right in the mix at the end yeah I I don’t only think that I actually like I think he’s going to win the tournament um I think Nikolai hoard

Is currently playing the best golf um of the entire group I think he should have won a couple weeks ago um I think the guy is so good T de green he is sneaky everything we talked about about a lot of these other guys who have broke out

Um but he also has experience already on big stages he already won the Ridder cup um played huge matches in the Ridder cup he’s won on the DP World Tour um it’s not a guy who this stage is going to be too big for him he’s already had a

Couple huge events this year that he was right in the mix at the end the guy is like coldblooded he hits the ball his swing is absolutely beautiful I think this is a guy who in two years is gonna be a guy in the top 10 world rankings

His his game is so good I think he is a is like about to be a big breakout on the PGA tour he’s like we talked about I think just like that but actually more experienced uh is hoard um I I love hoard here I think the odds are

Awesome yeah I think we’re getting very I think we’re getting really nice value when you look at the people around him you’ve got SE will Kim and Jason day uh do you really think these guys are winning this golf tournament probably not but H hoard I see a path to him

Winning this golf tournament and and absolutely I actually actually really think he’s going to be in contention here my only concern for him which is probably you guys are G is is just that history of every guy who wins here has played here before um and has won here

Or like played well here before um but I will say you know who his game is a lot like no is is Neiman who won here two years ago uh kind of a similar golfer yeah I mean I I just I’d be Li I’d be totally lying to you if I said I

Every shot all year I watch too much yeah I know what they all sound like because like Zach said I followed on the radio mostly I probably watched more golf than uh than the announcers last year yeah well more than Jim Nance that’s for sure yeah that guy just that guy just shows

Up an hour before it’s over and pretends he did the whole the whole tournament um so Jim you wrapped you effectively wrapped up Brenan my third pick so it’s just you left you’ve got your third outright winner hit us with it uh yeah I’m going with camon

Young um he’s not playing quite as well as I’d like him to so far this season but he’s great off the T um he’s had good success here at this course before he had a T2 back in 22 22 uh T20 last year is not quite as good but he knows

This course well he’s long off the te and I think he’ll be able to putt well enough to compete yeah Cameron young brenon where why why aren’t we looking at his odds oh I’m sorry I’m sorry what exactly are his odds right I think 500 so you did do

Your long shot second to sneak under us yeah did yeah you how did you know we were gonna go with hoard uh you know just a gut feeling yeah and and there’ll be some tournaments where we go with a A plus 8,000 plus 10,000 long shot but this

Ain’t that kind of tournament in my opinion so I have multiple thoughts on Camy young first of all Camy young is playing fantastic golf I agree he’s not finishing he’s never been able to finish that’s an infuriating part of Camy young Cam young is built to play this golf

Course uh if he’s gonna play like he’s been playing he should do awesome um the guy murders the ball um 10 miles um everything about his game it looks like the best golfer possible like he Hits aboutall 10 miles down the middle uh he just like hasn’t been able to win got a

Great beard too great beard yeah I I I mean he kind of disappeared Sunday of this past week he was right there for that tournament um he had a lot of tournaments last summer that he played in that were like you know the the Lesser fields that he was right in it

And just couldn’t get the win the sep straa tournament he had a total melt down on the weekend yeah um but yeah I mean cam young all of the numbers say he’s going to be really good here and that he has been playing really good uh

He has a good numbers on this course he also has great numbers this year so yeah I I can’t hate on the bat I just I don’t trust him to win a tournament he just doesn’t seem to close yeah I got I got cam young issues

Too I think I love the value of 3500 for the quality of golfer that he is I like his past results here um I mean this guy in 2022 was the PGA Tour rookie of the year six runnerup finishes six second place fin finishes he has not been able

To break through with his first career win the he he that’s a great Point Jimmy um Brendan makes a great point though he does he struggles to finish these tournaments he struggles on Sunday he has fits and starts on the putting green uh he has trouble making putts he’s very

Scotty likee in the way that when he’s locked in it’s right down the middle the the wedge is good to the green and then he misses a bunch of putts um and I think the one thing I love about cam is how hilarious it is you know what he’s

Almost more like Zack he’s like a poor man’s Rory mroy because the the way is like he gets so hot right and then the way he mentally collaps blows up with a bad hole or double bogey but the thing I find most hilarious about him is

Watching him when he misses a short put he you can see how angry the dude is you can he’s legitimately enraged and like there was a couple moments last year where we were making jokes like cam Young’s gonna kill somebody dude there was one putt on Sunday where he he

Missed it and he like twirled his putter in a way that I thought he was going to like chunk a hole in the green like he so angry but then he just like did that I believe we had a joke last year that we said uh there won’t be a tournament

Next year because he’s gonna burn down the clubhouse yes thatour was that it was go in the water twice the John Deere tractor John Deere tractor John de yeah yeah yeah so on fire in that tournament like halfway through Saturday he was he was uh he was

Going nuts this is actually dny McCarthy was one stroke short of hitting a huge parlay for me that was very disappointing yeah yeah yeah yeah and I had betep stru at like plus 8,000 odds so I was ha actually and then he hit it in the water on on 18 right after Jim

Texted you won the BET Zack I flipped out it it was it was a funny experience last you did you got very mad but he ended up winning so was fine but Jim I actually like the value you’re getting at 3500 for young I think that I think

This grouping is no go stay there stay there oh I’m sorry yeah that’s okay I think that grouping of seah tagala Matt Fitzpatrick Cameron young I think they’re very all a similar group of golfers like they can all they can all play extremely well like Matt Matt Fitzpatrick a little less volatile than

The other two but they can all play really well and win and win tournaments but they all kind of suffer from a random collapse in their rounds and they’re young guys young talented tall like before we move to our round one leader we’ve all

Given our our three guys um I do like I do like talking about a couple guys I see on my screen here uh say um maybe should have won this past week played really good but but he got a little shaky in he’s got a Sunday problem too

Man problem but I think this course suits him really well too um he’s a little bit hot uh he’s kind of a scary one I think I think you know there’s a version of this where he could win um the other interesting guy to talk you can take whatever you want from this

And go with it uh is just what do we think about will zures he’s actually played really well here um obviously I don’t know where he’s at in his return from injury but he did Play Good a couple weeks ago um obviously you know he has the putting issues but that’s I

Don’t think that’s the main concern with him now it’s whether his health comes back all the way and he’s hitting the ball as far and all that um but Z Torres has a really good history here um and obviously is a great player so does seah

Actually so go ahead yeah yeah um we haven’t really seen a lot of Willie Z in a while because you know but he had that stretch over the past two years where he was finishing second over and over again at the US Open uh I think he was I want

To say he was second at the PGA Championship to Justin Thomas in a playoff um l to Fitzpatrick the US Open played in contention at the Masters when he was third he was third second second yeah when atama won he’s consistently right there when he was healthy he got

Badly hurt he hasn’t been the same he played the Hero World Challenge he was awful um so but he he’s starting to look like he’s on the comeback Trail uh spoiler alert we’ll get to Willie in a minute in in this next segment okay seah theal though I I like what you said

About him I actually think he’s the kind of guy who could be a top 10 golfer wide eventually he’s got the game for it yeah he certainly does he’s got a little bit of the same thing Max hom has he hits it really far but he has little mental breakdowns I

Mean stay out of his own head if he just goes out there and plays golf and his caty can keep him calm he’s gonna do great but he gets in his own head and then he messes himself up yeah really he really does Jim um he’s fun to watch so

I like I like him I very much like the guy so so our next segment I’ll kick it off it’s called should have bet top five and uh funny story about this uh there was a turn there was a time there was a stretch yeah like yeah seriously there

There’s a stretch last year where um I believe it was two or three tournaments in a row I bet a guy I didn’t win the tournaments you guys were winning them um but there’s a stretch where I had like the second and third place finishers back to back to back it was

Just like a brutal stretch I couldn’t finish I couldn’t Cash Cash the outright winner Jim sends to our group chat he goes should have bet top five and I mean yeah I I don’t know if he meant but I mean it set me off pretty good I was

Like I was like this mother [ __ ] I was like I can’t believe this guy’s telling me to bet top five and so this this is our placement segment we’re going to give you every week our three top placement bets like a guy to finish top

20 or a guy to finish top 10 top five whatever it’s just not an outright winner top 40 whatever whatever we want to do we’re going to give you it’s it’s it’s our own thing so it’s pretty cool um but we’re calling it should have bet

Top five you lock it in right there and uh yeah is there anything else to I lost my train of thought pretty good but I’ll just I’ll start it off I just want to briefly just say the way we’re doing it on this show is every bet we give out

We’re placing one unit on unless someone says otherwise so each of our three winners it’s a one unit bet unless someone says they’re going to put more than one unit on it each of our placements they’re a one unit bet unless someone says they’re going to put more

Than one unit on it and then at the end of each week after the T after the tournament we’ll see where we’re at in terms of our units and month year ETA we’re gonna have a competition for it but we’re trying to get big units uh

Last year we were up a bajillion units uh it would have been outrageous uh if we measured on a show format like this so it’s going to be fun to do this year um but so these these ones are good ones to kind of um you know even out the

Losses uh when you don’t get the the outright winner um and you can still end up having a little bit of an up day or up and Jim is kind of a specialist at this last year you hit a ton of these top placement bets um kind of saved some

Of your weeks where you didn’t hit the outright winner uh made you a bunch of money um let’s just get you a quick philosophy argument real quick um which is I like um so you guys believe in betting top placement bets and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing

It I think a lot of people love to gamble on golf this way they love to bet a top five top 10 there’s still good value there um top 20 you know maybe as a safety blanket for other bets um but me personally I mean I’m giving I’m

Gonna be giving out picks on the show I’m be betting some of these picks in real life me personally I don’t believe in betting placements I just I’m a out I’m an outright winner guy I bet the outright winner um it’s kind of become like almost my personality in our golf

Chat so like you know I know you guys don’t fully agree with that but so put me in my place put me in my place well both you can do both well yeah of course you can do both yeah we we also want to get the

Winner right yes that has much look at the numbers on the winners um yeah but often I mean the tournaments where I haven’t got the winner right a bunch of them my bets were paid for because I did get the top 10 right um yep so you know

That that here and there I mean I’ve had I’ve had a couple weeks recently where because I went I put a good chunk on a couple guys top 10 that it I actually made money even though I didn’t have the winner um and it also let you get to the

Ones where you do get the winner um for free no no absolutely it’s kind of just like a I think it’s just like a a dumb like an ignorant arrogance now that I like don’t want to that I just like to bet the outright winner well I mean that’s absolutely what it is

You there’s money to be made out there there’s just different ways to get it and you’re only choosing to get it in one way yeah we just did we did at the beginning of this we did a whole segment where it was like hey we every guy we

Ever bet was in the top five but but you will might as well have also had that well for for sure but you guys you know you will give me credit in the fact that I’ve I do hit a good amount of outright winners so it has it

Worked out last year I think it will work out again but uh you know this this is the segments for my friends here I’m I’m part of it but you know I thought it was top five a great example is this past this past weekend we had mostly

Winter bets and you go Sunday with five holes to play you look at the leaderboard four of the top five people were the guys we bet like you know we’re nailing this we might as well have that sprinkled there as well yeah absolutely exactly there’s there’s no

Reason not to yeah since it’s you know but you know now I’m now I’m part of the segment and I’ll probably be placing some more placement bets going forward because uh yeah you guys you guys are right you guys are right I just you know some fake machismo toughness but think

About when you get the winner right and you also get three of the other top five guys now we’re getting we’re getting extra extra money there let me let me kick this off go to bring me to will zures all right will zures baby yeah will zures we just talked about him um

He has a really good result here in the past I I I think I believe he two very good result so yeah um he came in third here two years ago um and I think last year he was he last year he had a pretty good result and it was right before he

Was done for the year with his back injury right yeah um So based on that I think you know Brendan kind of alluded to it he’s getting back in form he’s recovering from his injury he had a rough couple months trying to get you know back to

Where he’s at as a golfer but you know a lot of that is you know we’ve all had injuries and then tried to golf through them and there’re you know even as just regular Joe’s and there a lot of confidence lost when like your shoulder hurts you’re trying to swing a golf club

And this guy had major back surgery yeah so it’s gonna take you a while to really lock into your swing again feel good about it and be confident so that said I think he will because he’s very talented we saw that I don’t know if Will necessarily be this week that he’s that

He wins a tournament but I think there’s really good value for him top five I think you’re getting 10 to one odds right yeah plus a thousand 10 to one odds on him to finish top five in a tournament where he has finished in the top five before he’s pretty comfortable

He’s long off the te um and he’s a solid player and if he can just kind of find a spark and and his bad moments aren’t doubles if he can just kind of keep it you know play Within himself here I don’t think you’re going to see will

Zores getting these odds these these high odds much longer this season Once he figures it out how to play golf the way he’s comfortable playing again and this could be a breakthrough for him so getting those kind of odds I love putting a little bet here on will zor’s

Top five at 10 to one odds yeah I agree there is going to be a moment where he’s back um and it’s it’s coming sooner rather than later um we’ve seen him play good already so we we know the injury didn’t end him you know what I mean so

He’s working his way back um and this is a guy who pre his back injury which is only a year and a half ago um the prior year and a half was a top five ball striker in the world right uh one of the best I I best guys with his irons I’ve

Ever seen pre premium ball Striker just not a good putter yeah just could get really don’t even watch him putt it’s yeah it’s uncomfortable to watch him putt yeah so yeah I love that bet Zack love it uh all right let’s go to let’s go to Jim for the next placement for his

First placement uh yeah let me get that together here for you um yeah so this one’s kind of a long shot but I think it’s you know a fun one to do um Christian Bizen hot ah he’s been playing ball he has been playing ball I don’t think he’s long

Enough off the tea to win this tournament um I think he putts well enough and is good enough around the green where plus 700 for T10 is enticing absolutely just lost page when I had to reload it yeah he’s great around the green he’s great at putting

He’s just not long off the te which could hurt him with this tournament plus 700 makes it all worth it yeah yeah he’s been playing great I mean his last his last five starts third second miscut 20th 28th um yeah damn good yeah he had a second oh yeah he

Lost to a Dunlap uh in the desert there yeah yeah yeah playing really good uh he’s playing some of the best golf of his life right now so you can’t hate on that he’s got a great Dutch South African La name so you know that that

Helps too um yeah Jim I like I like that bet I like the odds at it too Brendan what’s uh what’s your first placement bet just I wanted to add in the last five five tournaments played uh he is gaining he’s like sixth in in shots

Shots gained right now on the field so um overall that’s that’s pretty good uh so my first placement bet uh is is sort of a uh there’s a bunch of elements to it it’s Adam Scott top 10 uh plus 250 um Adam Scott one is playing sneaky

Really good yeah uh right now he’s he’s playing sneaky really good he snuck his way into the top 10 this past week out of the Clear Blue Sky uh managed to top 10 um he has a top he has three top 10 in his last five starts um and he’s come

In top 10 here four of his last five times and he’s one um Andy is one here and he loves this course he has personally said this course is his like to him the best he feels on a golf course on the tour um I think this is

Just suited to Adam Scott Adam Scott ain’t gonna win nothing he ain’t gonna win uh he’s not as you know explosive as but boy can that guy hit his iron well he’s gonna win now yeah uh but Adam Scott is like the perfect guy to just you’re sitting there Sunday and you’re

Like what Adam Scott’s in eighth yeah you know like oh there he is look at that look at and they go to him and you’re like wow he just hit that iron so nice like we’re we’re good he’s fine you know like uh and this course is

Clearly well suited to him he’s just played good here every time and he’s playing really good right now I love Adam Scott plus 250 to be in the top 10 all the guy does is come in the top 10 yeah I mean my only issue oh go ahead

Jim sorry uh he’s on my board too I was going to do him top 20 instead of top 10 at even money for the same reasons um his last five events he has one T20 and everything else is a top 10 so I mean you really can’t miss with this guy

Right now yep yeah so so your uh your second placement bet is uh is Scott top 20 gy at even money yep I love that one Jim I just got a little greedy because I think he’s gonna get there yeah yeah guys on the same page Scott my only

Issue with Scott is he uh just blatantly cheats putting but hey even more reason to bet him he ain’t cheating he ain’t trying he puts the he used to put the the the putter the top of the putter right in his chest right in his chest

Events on the PGA tour and just uh just just a disappointing guy uh Second Place constantly he is Brendan’s Muse he is Brendan’s Boogeyman uh Brendan has spent the last five years everyone’s Boogeyman at this point he was but he’s at some if you’ve bet golf for the last two years

At some point he’s Boogeyman five years yeah but I mean at some point he’s Boogie mandia you had a streak where you bet him like eight tournaments in a row and he finished second like four times he still never won he still never won on the PG tour he lost horrifically at the

Canadian open to Nick Taylor last year when Taylor hit a 70 foot Eagle putt on second playoff hole to beat him um he seems a little Dubai though didn’t he the DP tour a bunch of times seven or eight times seven or eight times on the

DP tour he doesn’t seem to have problem over there but he can’t seem to win just beat Rory a weeks ago yeah Rory had the worst like four putt you’ve ever seen to collapse and lose to him yeah but regardless this is why I have Fleetwood

As a placement bet and not as a winner because uh I think we’re all plenty burned on Tommy Fleetwood W trying to win events putting bets on him to win events so I got Fleetwood top 10 here at plus 280 Fleetwood has a good result

Here I think he only has one good result here but he’s he’s played here enough um Fleetwood is is you know he’s a really really talented golfer he just can’t finish the the tournament on the weekend his the stats last year that they showed between his Thursday and Friday putting versus

Saturday and Sunday putting are totally insane it’s like there’s a completely different guy on the green um so I don’t trust Fleetwood to close a tournament how could you but I like getting plus 280 uh for a good golfer I think he’s he’s playing good I mean he got a win in

Europe and uh he’s played decent on the PGA tour this year so give me give me to finish top 10 yeah I think not only does he have a win in Europe I think he came in second in a different tournament in Europe too yeah um so yeah he’s been

Playing good uh I got mad at him because I bet him uh at Pebble Beach and he was he sucked uh yeah yeah he yeah he had a tough time there I mean he was fine but relative to what he should do he he sucked we like audience we like audience

Engagement comments but I don’t I don’t really like this one yeah that’s no good we get that get that out of here get be better yeah be better Bren so I’ve done two plac yeah if we’re gonna mention Tommy Fleetwood I gotta mention I think I’m

Week at the waste management um I thought he was going to kill someone when he hit it in the water on 17 um and and kind of It kind of ruined his chance to win this this one uh but he is such a streaky golfer um that you kind of got

To get on him when he’s playing good and he’s playing really good right now also I think he plays really good on these type of courses this is actually a really similar course to the LA Country Club where he won the US Open uh everything about it is very similar it’s

You need to hit drives long stay in the Fairway not get into the deep rough uh it’s they’re both the POA greens um so he plays good on these types of courses Zach could join us um instead of texting um so uh I got Windham Clark top 10 plus

330 uh I’m going to just ride his hot hand I think think it’s a good course for him and I think he’s just playing great yeah I mean I love that bet I took him last night to win outright at plus 4,000 so I mean you have no arguments for me yeah I

Mean look I dislike wendam Clark a lot um as you call him the hotel man which I think is a great nickname um yeah I mean he took all my money because he wouldn’t screw up at the US Open I had a ton of money on Rory I thought it was Rory’s

Tournament uh and wendam just just played so solid down the stretch at at La Country Club last year um so yeah I mean he’s a good golfer he’s coming into his own and he plays consistently and he is actually one of the guys that just

Gets can get so hot so fast it’s kind of disturbing um you’re like wow you don’t really think about Windam Clark when you think about the top golfers but him at his top level is really really good um yeah it feels like every few months there’s a three- week stretch where he’s

Notice he was in the tournament I think he had the best uh final round score of the whole field think he’s been playing well a lot lately hasn’t he let me pull up his numbers here he’s kind of old guy 224 2743 in his last five

Events so not bad at all yeah the funny thing about Grio is he won like seven years ago and then kind of just faded away from from being relevant golf at all made a comeback won last year and he’s actually been pretty damn consistent since that win last he had a

Upon us I don’t think we should ever feature the DP tour um but I think DP tour bets can be included in your dial it UPS yeah I like that for the dial it up segment you can throw in a live bet or a DP bet yeah I think that’s a great idea

That there’s a PGA event like 48 weeks out of the year so I mean we don’t definitely have to do deep ever if we don’t want to yeah but you can throw them in the dial up and every once in a while the PGA event is not even it’s

Like barely equal to the DP event or last we also hit we also let’s be real we hit a bunch of DP bets last year yeah but like the week where the Scottish open happens the Scottish open is bigger than the well it’s a PGA sanctioned Tour
