So far yeah I think obviously Eddie’s keeping him busy um yeah had uh three fights in three months back end of the year all six rounders straight away you know this is his first eight rounder and um he’s he’s progressing exactly how you would want um a prospect coming through

Too he’s getting a few lessons on board um you know the the last opponent was probably what you class as a journeyman um and he’s probably the first one out of all three because we we want to match him not difficult but but Sterner test than you would generally get because

Because I don’t want him to go backwards I don’t want him to get a false sense of where he’s at and um and and you know again this this process of um not just going in there with someone who’s two and 36 you know going in with people who

Who were ambitious who were going to come and try and win so that make make sure he Tak some valuable lessons on board you’ve spoken highly Jamie of the telling that Cameron possesses win let’s say if he was to go on to deliver what you believe he can in his career how do

You go about just kind of keeping him levelheaded making sure he doesn’t go and get ahead of him self well exactly that just keep reminding him that um you know what what people say about him um a lot of the time will be dramatized and

Sort of put cream on it and and just make it sound a bit sort of bigger and more emphatic and just to make sure that it keeps his feet on the ground doesn’t get carried away with himself um so so I’m glad you know I think in being

Around us and making sure that someone’s around you on a daily basis making sure that you keep feel on the ground is the most important thing so um so you know he he he does like the sort of rasmas of it all and um is a bit of a showman in

That sense which is nothing wrong with but there’s a time and a place you got to make sure you do you know make sure you get your proper work done properly um and then you know obvious like I said there’s a time and place for it but You’

Got to make sure you keep it sort of a lid on it sometimes you know what I mean provid did things do go to plan for him on Saturday night how do you envisage then the rest of this year planning out for him just active you know keeping a young

Prospect active is key and I’m I’m glad that Eddie and Frank have have sort of backing him in that way and they’ve got him planned to be out in sort of April time then again in June and um and and against sort of good level of opposition

So that’s all all you can ask for is activity um against you know a decent level of opposition for a 21y old who have had you know hopefully bad B summer comes around and have had six or seven fights in sort of eight months which you you can’t ask for

Any more than that Jordan Flyn fought one of those yeah listen 100% I don’t know how that’s come about is obviously social media the the magic of social media um and and Jordan Flynn apparently is a super FWE I’ve been seeing um I saw Sunny Edwards put something out there

But no one’s ever going to reply to Sunny Edwards because you don’t want to you don’t to when with a back with a backlash of it but um but listen if that fight happens that fight happens it’s the two young Lads coming through and uh I I had

You know the GS of them both to to try and step in there and go in with someone who’s sort of unknown on test moving forward Jamie on other the topics things seem to be a little bit quiet on the Tyler Catal two front anything you can tell me um listen and during

Negotiations I know both both Lads won it and uh and I don’t think it’ll be too far that there’s um too too far off coming to some sort of agreement for it so uh you know it’s um it’s a shame that Jack’s not been able to get a world

Waiting for it I’m sure they’ll be able to do it as some sort of Eliminator or final Eliminator for a world title and um and it’s a fight that all the boxing fans want to see he certainly one that Jack wants and and bar sound ofic certainly one that Josh Taylor wants as

Well so hopefully the the close to getting them Hate’s a very strong word but I imagine maybe in personal conversations it might have come about between the pair of them um in the buildup to a potential second fight with that in mind and given this rival which has now built continuously throughout

Since the first fight do you think it would be a different type of fight to what we saw first time around man I have no idea you’d be second guessing wouldn’t you emotions come into play a lot in in buildups especially when there’s a bit of needle there um but

Part of being a professional is being able to keep keep a lid on it um control your emotions it’s one of the things you’re taught in a boxing gym as a kid is you can’t let your emotions run you know you’ve got to you control it with

Your head rather than your heart so um so I’m sure the buildup will be fcer um I’m not sure they’ll have too many nice things to say about each other but that’s what makes it spicy and that’s what the reason why people want to see it because of obviously the the the sort

Of story surrounding the first fight going into into a rematch two years later when it’s been made a couple of times in through it sort of really it’s it feels like it’s probably better now to have it done two years down the line when it start matured a little bit and

There’s a little bit more of a backstory to it than there was initially obviously Jamie just an update on the other figh potential Trilogy between Chantel and K anything you can tell us on that for I’ve literally heard nothing I’ve not heard anything so um I I I’ve I’ve heard

As much as everyone else has heard on social media so uh yeah it’s quite quiet but um listen if that that’s a big fight and if uh I’m I’m sure if Ed thinks he big enough to make I’m sure he will hopefully we do get to see that one run

Back again uh moving away from everything in your gym Jam get for on a few over the topics saw John Ryder fall short against hary Mong his past weekend John a brilliant professional has done as much as he can with his career and hopefully gone on make enough money to

Enjoy the life outside of boxing just kind of your Reflections on seeing what we saw on Saturday night and now he’s Enter he entered retirement man I I just think that he’s had a fantastic career he’s a he’s a nice man John rder and and he’s very knowledgeable got so much

Experience so I’m glad um when when I read his retirement statement in the end part where he said you won’t you’re not getting rid of me I’m going to be staying around helping in the in the gym with Tony Sims passing on his knowledge that’s perfect because I just believe

That for the next sort of generations to to improve and get better and and be able to not just following Fighters like John’s footsteps but even get better because it’s always better for ex-f Fighters like ourselves to have walked down that path and made mistakes and

Then be able to turn around to the fighters coming through now who they’ve got a lot more benefits than us as you know as time goes on and science improves and fitness and everything gets better then you can add the craft to it and also go listen don’t do that because

That’s a mistake I’ve already been there I’ve done that and I’m glad I I like Fighters like John who’ve got a wealth of experience knowledgeable um calm relaxed Persona I think he make a perfect coach on the same weekend that we saw Connor Ben successful out in America against Pete sorry the weekend

After rather Conor Ben successful against Peter Dobson bit more of a difficult fight than what most might have imagined beforehand since been talks of a potential tank Davis fight home hands i’ be surprised if it was to happen but you hold any interest to potential Conor Ben and tank Davis for

You listen there’s a lot of different fights been mentioned for Connor Ben and I think he’s got to take as a compliment cuz a lot of people calling him out on mentioning his name um and I know it’s different now because the numbers aren’t just sort of counted from

Views on TV it’s clicks on online and stuff like that and obviously con of gets a lot of attention online so if it the old saying if it makes money it makes sense and I’m sure tank Davis if it makes a lot of money it’ll make sense

To him and uh you know he’s always talked about issues with weight and boxing at lightweight or super lightweight and it start being difficult for him so um so I’m sure he won’t out of the question for him to take a fight against Conor Ben because you know going off that performance last

Time you would say someone like tank would go listen that’s not on a hard nights work for me and if I’m going to get paid a lot of money I’ll do it doesn’t mean Conor’s going to perform badly against tank it just means that he’s more likely to take the fight so he

Might have done himself a favor not looking explosive looking great in front of in front of the cameras because then it’s it sort of um opponents are more likely to to sort of take that fight on board some disappointing new news at the back end of last week well Tyson fur

Mean it happened I got cut 10 days before I fought Matthew Macklin underneath me eye um and luckily it was a small cut but but these things happen in boxing you’re getting punched in the face and you have to spar that close to a fight right to make sure that your

Time is there and your sharpness is there so it is a risk but but it just happens um so I just think that you know moving forward if if um if Tyson Fury gets four to six weeks from now down the line and it looks like he’s not quite

Healed as much as he would like he’ll just give it another couple of weeks he’s he’s already basically done a full Camp so he’ll just maintain that Fitness and uh and hopefully when it as and when he spars again um he probably won’t spar as often as he would like to but he’ll

Just have to adjust his training camp to to suit the needs you’re Alexander usk knowing that it’s on the same or aut in Cut as well do you target it as early as you can in that fight now well in theory you’d like to think so but it’s easy

Said than done and um especially with someone like Tyson who’s so dimensions are so sort of tall and awkward um but um I mean yeah like like I said so it’s like saying Tyson Fury should Target usk’s body because apparently he’s weak downstairs that’s easy said than done as

Move him they’ve got to go with it now and maybe they they’re looking at how fast Fabio wardle’s improved in that short space of time and and they might have Edge the bets and gone listen let’s do it now instead of waiting six or 12 months because he might be even better

Then so let’s do it now so uh I just I’ve just got a feeling that Fraser um Fraser is setting his style and he isn’t going to be able to adapt and change much whereas Fabio wardley is improving all the time and I’ve just got a feeling that might the the deciding factor
