Just through me being a I guess a bit of a golf geek out on the tour and the knowing that I didn’t really have a coach and I was working on my own at stuff and never had a golf coach um always coach yourself never a permanent one I

Occasionally asked a few questions here and there and had putting putting coaches right leave that we um so that led into fellas just asking me like cuz when you get to the Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday a tournaments and sometimes all the coaches have gone home right um the sort

Of obvious Target I suppose yeah um so I’ve had plenty of chats with guys about swings here and there and then that turned into them taking me on and trusting me to do a bit of work with them which is pretty cool and that’s carried on all

The way up to to now really can can i’ got to mention olle Wilson yeah this is a brilliant brilliant story well I let Robert tell it but the email yeah the the email from I I had ‘s caddy for a while so Richie Hill olle was playing on

Challenge tour and Richie was still working on the main tour and I luckily had him for we had a couple of years but I was always interested in what was happening with ‘s game so obviously played Ryder yeah um was really really consistent and then form dipped off a

Little bit and was playing on the challenge tour and Richie would tell me about what he was up to and then I said if you ever needs any like second opinions or wants to ask me anything just pleas please please like give me a give me a chance so OE was in

Kazakhstan um and he I think he text me or yeah he text me and I thought right I’ll do this I’ll do proper this is my first gig right so the computer literally typed out this email loads of screenshots and comparisons and stuff a little bit before you could do like

I’ wanted to do it but didn’t have the time right to organize it’s quite quite hard work so we did this first one went great parents asked us to do more and now we’re for this well last season we did 25 events um three of them abroad some of them

Having world ranking points but thousand hundreds hundreds of families on our yeah it’s been been brilliant that’s amazing see a lot of young talent coming through yeah we’re at the AG group we’re doing the like the the beginners up to sort of low handicap we’re not aiming

It at the top bit the F series covers that getting kids involved in go right so we’re trying to do throwing the game essentially yeah that’s kind of what it essentially is out there we both ‘ve been driving range pros and you see a lot of kids go to driving ranges but

Don’t necessarily actually play golf right so Rangers yeah so we we set up events on we call it the mini tour where they tee off where a good drive should get you to and you play from there so you can actually make a decent score when

When I the Masters didn’t they yeah when I was little like you couldn’t play a course until you like 12 or 13 but now they’re allowed on the course like five six years old but if you’re playing off the Reds at five you can’t make can tripley every hole and demoralizing

Drop water like 10 anyway and in the middle of I got to drop B get to the end just I’m raging right I’ve gone from fifth to God knows what I want to go home and then the ref says um somebody’s phoned in because you might have dropped the ball from the wrong

Your swing obviously doing a lot of your swing stuff and knowing the swing inside that massive on short game I have I hadn’t been but more recently I got a bit more into it um I started working with some really good short game players on their swings

Right and they helped me see a bit of an insight into short game okay is there a little bit of um relatables in full swing and short game or would you say things patting different right short game little bit you can do them different right really yeah like players play short game shots

Different there’s number of different ways to play that shot um okay you got to pick the one that suits your swing already right CU then it’s you’re not shifting too much from what your natural takeway might what I was trying to get at okay um so for example I was I was

Working with Thomas bjor yeah on his swing and then he’s awesome at short game right so getting inside the little group with the players is a bit it’s quite interesting cuz then I can watch him practice short game shots and he tells me what he’s doing and he he would

Play more all of his shots without an awful lot of wrist action so very stiff yeah and then but then I was also at the similar time working with Pablo larazabal who is an absolute genius as well and he does he does all of them

Right he does risks no risk and he can shift from one to the two really well right so the really good short short game players can do everything must been a big eye opener for you yeah that cuz I I didn’t really spend too much time on

Short game I just wanted a functional short game that would give me I didn’t miss greens by loads right so I would I would need just basic chip shots yeah I need to be really good at just a standard chip and run so I didn’t Sur that gives you confidence go hang on

There ain’t there’s loads of ways you can do this there’s loads of ways you can do it so makes you you what you have to do is you have to be decisive on how you’re going to play it yeah 100 you can’t get caught in between well could I

Do this could I do that me through that yeah my first effort I was thinking I’m going to put it forwards I’m going to keep this nice and straight and play a long wide version but I fatted the one off the back of the fourth right so I

Didn’t want to Fat this shot right it’s going to run back down CH so I nudged it back a little bit and played another version of a chop shot which got a little bit more wrist wrist action but it’s more more shoulders through S detail and I got the the first practice
