All right sth another great two rounds here taking the lead into absolutely in the third round what’s been clicking through two days overall yeah um the first day was just a straight endurance test um try and not have an explosion hole with the with the conditions so got
Through that honestly one of the best rounds I’ve I’ve played on tour I think that first round and then um today we finally after the first few holes of the day we got some scoreable conditions it was still freezing for to like whole six or seven but um we finally got some very
Scorable conditions no wind um soft greens which is rare for out here I’m used to playing like 10 yards a skip with a pitching wedge now we’re flying pitching wedge past the hole so um yeah it was definitely it was nice to take advantage of of some of the uh the pins
Just because of the soft greens and and rolled in a couple putts that were bonuses so I guess that total up to a seven under which which I I played really well again today this is 29th of two rounds your lowest 36o whole total on tour your most recent your previous
Best was also here why do you think it is that you’re a horse for this particular course yeah I don’t I don’t really know the one of the things that I noticed about this golf course is there’s a lot of dog leg all the dog leg
Lefts out here I can hit my cut and cover kind of the corners of the traps and not get to the other corn other traps on the other side of the Fairway so I seem to hit it like that perfect 295 kind of carry in this cold weather
Which works out great cuz some of the bunkers are like 285 to cover and uh the other the Deep hitters are getting to the 3 bunkers and um it just gives me a little more confidence knowing that I should be hitting it in between all of
Them on a few key holes one of them being six I missed it right today and it was right in between the two bunkers and probably would have carried the left bunker so um I think it really sets up well for me off the tea um it’s also
Nice knowing that I’ve played a lot of Desert Golf growing up uh you know you can miss in the desert and kind of get lucky it’s not an auto loss ball so uh that with that in the back of my mind too it’s it’s a little less pressure on
Some of the tighter t- shots take me through 15 cuz you kind of got a good break and then kind of a not so good break yeah um I don’t know what my not so good break would be I feel like the whole hole I had a nice break but um
Yeah I hadit a bad t- shot um got lucky that it stayed left side of the dormant Bermuda took cart path relief then I took casual water relief and then I was just going to lay up cuz I had the trees in my way and some funny stuff but
Dropped it and realized I had a perfect number for my three Arn and I had a really nice lock too um the only thing was it was a little wet but the shape was perfect um just directionally felt like I can hit my three AR right in the
Gap um and yardage wise it should have been perfect so it was probably the one instance that I go for it from that situation with the trees kind of blocking the right side um and I hit it just a hair fat um I still thought it
Might cover close to the front edge of the green and it just plugged uh covered the hazard by two two or three yards um and then got got another nice break that it was pluged cuz it was in the intermediate I got to take it to the
Fairway and place it um and I hit a really nice chip um I think it was about to Skid when it hit the hole I probably still would have been 5 six feet by and ended up going 5 six feet by after hitting the hole but um yeah it was a
Very adventurous four I took four drops and probably took us 25 minutes to play the hole but um it wasn’t for nothing wasn’t for nothing do you feel you have unfinished business at this tournament to some extent yeah um it’s funny leading up to the tourn when I saw my
Shot on 17 Again from two years ago and I was like God I had that bounce left now I know not to just not to aim there although this year there’s no chance it’s bounc well shouldn’t say that but uh it’s soft enough to where you’d think
It wouldn’t bounce like that but um it just kind of fired me up and gave me a little extra motivation and then um you know I think anytime again it evens out the wave stuff but being on the bad wave kind of fired me up a little bit more
Again um so just using what ever I can as fuel and and uh the fans out here are obviously sick and uh felt the support all day on that back nine again so um I would say when I’m on the golf course I don’t think about it but outside of it
Sure feels like a little bit of little bit of unfinish business but just going to let the um let the golf go and and see how it goes this weekend I have a real Vivid image of you after that tournament hugging your mom Tears In Your Eyes get that emotional at another
Tour event no I don’t think I’ve ever cried over I really have never cried over golf um I want it bad I’m a competitor um but it was just kind of the culmination of everything um I think I’ve spoke on it before but just knowing that I have this really dope opportunity
To play golf at the highest level and live out my dream but also it doesn’t mean everything um I had my I had 60 family members and Friends surrounding me uh kind of to pick me up so and I had all the fan support so it’s just like a
Combination of everything and then my first time really being in that In the Heat of the Moment and just feeling like I kind of let everybody else down including myself um so I think that’s why it’s was just an emotional response um um cuz there there’s obviously been
Other heartbreak that I’ve had on tour and everyone has gone through that in Gulf but um you know there’s there’s I’ve never had a reaction like that couldn’t even get words out and and I’m an emotional guy but um usually not ugly crying like that how did you spend them yesterday
What’s that what did you do yesterday I was just saying like I kind of stretched out everything I did yesterday I woke up late we had a brunch um spent like two hours at brunch coffee and came back watched coverage for a while just to see
Cuz we knew we were going to be playing the same H locations and all that so watched coverage uh got a nice workout in with my trainer um kind of drug that out it was only a 30- minute workout but it spent hour and a half in the gym and
Then came here practiced for maybe an hour double check that I wasn’t going to tea off um went and ate some Thai food for dinner and and uh that was it called him night cool
