>> Hey, Punk. >> What’s happening. >> Yeah. How’s it going? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. What are you doing here? >> Is this Lulu? >> This is Lulu. We love our Lulu. >> Badass. [NOISE] >> [LAUGH] >> Did you get that? Yeah. >> Come on in. Well, how are you?

>> Good. >> Hi. >> Hello. >> How are you? >> Good, sorry about that. >> [LAUGH] >> I only wish it exploded more. >> You said it wasn’t you. You and Cody were great. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. >> Appreciate it. >> How’s everything? >> Great.

[INAUDIBLE] >> I was with Kevin today I had to wear a sweatshirt just so, like, they wouldn’t see my body. >> And you look better than me. We are here in the world-famous NXT Arena. I have enlisted some NXT superstars to essentially just roll around,

Do a little light training prior to the Royal Rumble. I think I got my legs under me, but it’s always a work in progress. Let’s make sure I take this off so I don’t lose it. >> How are you doing, man? Good to see you, brother. >> Thanks for coming with.

Those are mine. How are you, my friend? >> What’s up man, how are you? >> Not at all. >> I’m Preist. >> Steve, you want to come in? >> Way to go, Punk. Way save your body. >> [LAUGH] You like that? >> That’s the difference.

>> I could tell you funny stories of me showing up 2005 OBW and watching, like, Bobby Lashley, like, skirt the drills. Great. No. Maybe like, five, five five. And Bobby would get in and do, like, one and then roll out, and I’d be like, why? >> Here we go here.

>> Is that why we do that? >> [LAUGH] >> We do that’s all jiu jitsu on this side. Great. This side. >> Yeah. And that’s where it gets tight for me, too. So I thought maybe it was the conditioning for that’s. >> Yeah. He’s fastest guy I’ve ever seen. Yeah.

>> You keeping it slow for me. >> 45612. >> This is where we all forget how to count. [MUSIC] This is great. This is great. This is all about timing, especially on, like, the drop down leapfrogs. It’s all timing. And the key to the five five five is to make you tired.

But to still be able to execute things sharply while being physically under such duress. [MUSIC] >> Let’s go, yeah. [MUSIC] >> He’s looking great. Ready to go. [MUSIC] >> Man, I’m working with a goat right now, man. Best believe I’m taking notes. I’m taking notes.

>> Wrestling is, I mean, to me, 80, 85, maybe 90% feel. It’s just like anything else. The more you do it, the more reps you have in it, the better you are. It’s hard just to come in off the street, think you’re going to be ready for a Royal Rumble.

So to me, this is about just being Rumble-ready. >> I’m in there with Carmelo Hayes. So he’s doing pretty good. [MUSIC] >> He looks good. I’ve known this guy over 20 years, but this is not, motivated’s always such a bad word, but just focus.

Focused on not only doing what CM Punk has done for 20 years, but creating an amazing legacy that he has. He can be the next world heavyweight champion right there. >> Trying to tell guys, figure out the difference between go, go and rushed. >> Yeah, there’s a fine line.

>> Yeah, there’s a very fine line. I don’t know it. We’re all learning this together, right? But I think there’s a way to do all that. Don’t throw anything away. You make it harder on yourselves. >> We’re down here doing our thing in NXT.

He comes down here, wants to work out with the best of the best. And so that’s what he got today. >> He definitely punching, man. He ain’t missing a step, man. I’m glad he’s back. We learned a lot today, man. And it’s really a privilege working with a great like that.

So I’m looking forward to the rumble, see what he got. >> Just takes me back to last year. Cody and I prepared for the Royal Rumble. So it’s cool. I get to work with punk preparing for the royal rumble. And same thing I said last year.

It’s like, you come in here and these guys come in here and they ask for our help. But by the end of it, it’s almost like we learn more from them. And they’ve helped us a lot of times more than we’ve helped them.

So it was just cool getting in there with Punk, somebody I’ve been watching for a long time. >> When I got signed, I didn’t do a springboard. I had never tried to do a springboard, but I got put in OVW and everybody around me was huge. I mean, like, huge.

So I looked completely different. And then I had the idea of look at the main roster and then wrestle completely different. Nobody did a springboard. So I was like, all right. Taught myself how to do a springboard. I just looked at things that weren’t there.

Instead of seeing something successful and just trying to duplicate that or tweak it or something like that, I looked at what wasn’t there. So I’m a little Mr Miyagi in this approach, you know. I think there’s a lot of super talented men and women down in NXT.

I think it’s important to incorporate them in, you know, things you’re doing. Because a lot of the times it isn’t necessarily just about learning. When you wrestle somebody on television, I think just being around a lot of the boys

Could potentially help them you never know what’s going to give somebody like an aha moment or a light bulb or something like that. And then obviously, I just wanted to younger, athletic guys roll around, get the blood going, do a bunch of leapfrogs and get my legs under me.

It’s just all going towards being Rumble-ready. The idea being prepared for number one, cross your fingers for number 30, and just get in here with some knee pads on and your wrestling boots and go. >> Bro, thank you so much. Appreciate you.

>> I don’t think I’ve done that five five five drill in, I don’t know, over a decade, and to just jump in here and that be like the first thing you do, it’s more mental. At this point. It gave me a boost of confidence.

Honestly, I’m not going to be doing no five five drill in the Royal Rumble. You know what I mean? It’s going to be adrenaline and trying not to get thrown over the top rope. Cherry. Don’t mind if I do. I deserve it.

The shadow that is looming over me is the fact that this is my first televised WWE match in ten years, and almost probably on the anniversary of when I left. And there’s a lot of emotion and there’s a lot of ghosts that I still got to get rid of.

And I think it’s going to be very cathartic on Saturday to kind of exercise those ghosts. The last time this audience saw me, sick, hurt, disillusioned. And I made it, like, such a big deal in my career about not so much winning a Royal Rumble, but main eventing WrestleMania.

That it took on this life of its own to where my ten years away from WWE, realizing that it became a much bigger thing to other people than it was to me. And to get the opportunity to come back here and revisit all these things, there’s just a lot of emotion.

And I know it’s going to be amplified tenfold tomorrow, tenfold on top of that on Saturday. And when that red light goes on, and when my name does get called. And when you hear cult of personality, I just hope everybody knows the lyrics. Bye.

  1. To all Punk Fans. I told you so.
    He's injured now.
I told you all. This Guy isn't main event material.
He may have been 10 years ago but now… he's just a shell of himself. Stop Sucking his balls. He's gone. Now you all can go back to your basements too.

  2. He's a monster kick him out of the locker room, fire him.
He's dripping with toxicity he's poisoning with negativity.

  3. Punk living his dream: working and being a model for the new generations and getting respected as a veteran
I totally dig Punk becoming a full time trainer after he'll hang the boots, I'm so happy that he reconciled with the WWE and came back, we lost so many wonderful years were he could have been a stable presence in the main roster, if only things gone differently

  4. Smart move on WWE part doing these vlogs to show the real CM Punk and to bury AEW and their unprofessional organization and self entitled millennials who run it.
