Yeah it was great to be down there performance- wise not great but um we got through that was the main thing yeah we we we did a job didn’t we it was important to do that job I mean it wasn’t great was it Billy I mean we were

We were thinking we were in for a pound in first 20 minutes uh but then we suddenly uh we got going we got uh we got what we needed to do and then it kind of inspired us moving into the Villa game we started pretty awful it it

All got changed as soon as D bur banged his back as soon as he banged his back for us he kick click gear and the whole side seemed to kind of hel arms length after that I thought um yeah so and then of course the confidence we got

From that we took into the vill game yeah and we’re outstanding for the ver of the whole game against Villa uh I mean Peter OB The Villa game was a different catler fish how were you feeling going into the Villa Game were you worried about anything in particular

I was at first I were Midfield would get overrun um at first but you know what we dealt with them very very well defensively great at the back and we just they didn’t have an answer uh to us on the day and we and they went in for a

Shock and that’s what we gave them H pretty much they just went up the just really off the game and I think it’s first Villa haven’t been that great as of L performances so they’ve been trying to sneak away with scrimping and scrim and with odd points now and then but um

Yeah I thought fly deserved the win we were just excellent all over the pitch and um yeah no complaints we fly deserve that and obviously uh the downside of the game against Villa was the losing e actor injury wasn’t it um you know and but then mysteriously uh yesterday uh as

Billy remember stories going around all day about you know four to six weeks six to eight weeks and then Tindle around today and says he could play tomorrow I think I think it’s a risk I think it’s a huge risk not sure as well now this it was by the medical staff

Wasn’t it now we know how absolutely criminal our medical stuff have been this season with the amount of injuries we’ve had so I’m unsure whether we should risk him uh pretty much I really I’m really unsure that we should do because we get another one well the

Medical stuff’s just going to get the finger pointed at them again yeah and right you know groin injuries you’ve got to be very very careful with um you know it for me I don’t think tomorrow we need to take a risk on isak if he if he’s if

He’s not 100% don’t play him I I think we’ve got players who are there who can actually still win the game without isach playing uh because no how will look the way it’s gone this season isach plays he tears his gr and then he’s out for the

Season yeah I mean if he’s not 100% he shouldn’t be even on the bench shouldn’t play yeah tweak it again and then he’ll be off for three four months I might even need a surgery you never know it’s a bit like um Joon runbo he got injured

Against Sunland yeah well well yeah I mean look it’s happened with botman it’s happened with Jacob Murphy Billy we can’t afford to do this again surely not no but it’s let’s be honest it’s it’s a risk every time he that goes on the pitch so I me point maybe they’re

Thinking well he’s got this anyway so maybe he can play I don’t expect him to play I think that’s just the smoke screen actually um from Jason Tindle via EDD how if you like so I don’t think he’ll play I think I think we’ll see him

In a week or two but if we do see him then hope he he can keep himself fit and and terrorize him let’s be honest he’s he’s a fantastic player the sort of player we want playing uh I mean obviously we’ve just brought this fio in from uh from

Leicester city uh as Marx just pointed out there as well in the chat um I think that’s a a good they seem to be bring of course they brought somebody else in a couple of about a week ago as well so they are changing the staff aren’t they

So um maybe moving forward it can be a little bit more positive but looking at Luton tomorrow Peter obviously Lon uh have just came off the back of a wonderful win against Brighton but Brighton not really the formed team it’s fair to say I think they’ve won three in

18 or something in the Premier League um but they do have some decent players across towns end Ross bark is having a new sort of lease of life um that can cause problems but realistically you know do you expect Newcastle to to to win this game

Comfortably um I we should get the job done H tomorrow I don’t see why we shouldn’t wear at home it’s a team we should be beating I hopefully we’ll not get a performance like we did down at their place I think we should have enough to win the game but I think

They’ll I don’t think they’ll make it easy for us I don’t think they’ll make it easy for us though because they given a team some right good goals this season yeah they’ve got nothing to lose either have they well no they haven’t the bottom threee and they’re really given

Chance go to all these big stadiums and it’s like finals for them at the minute and they’ve got nothing to lose um Luton probably I mean the way they’re going they’re going to they’re given a good fight right to stay up yeah I mean that 40 against Everton was Brighton Brighton yeah and

Squad as well CU I’m start but you know let’s if we are as comfortable as everybody seems to be predicting tomorrow you know put him on for 20 minutes at the end and let’s see what he can do yeah yeah uh but uh I I I’m not

As conf I’m normally pretty bullish but I’m not as confident tomorrow because I’ve been I followed the tune for too long and and typic typically on Tuesday when nobody gave us a prayer would turn it on and get the points but as with Forest at home couple

Of weeks back when we’re expected to win we get turned over yeah and that’s just St Newcastle United you know um I think we’ll still win you know even without Isaac I think we’ll still win me dereck’s right isn’t he Billy I mean the times that you you know we’ve

Supported Newcastle over the years and and that’s why I say so many times that supporting Newcastle is like sitting on a roller coaster because you just you don’t there so many highs and so many laws but you don’t know when those highs and laws are coming and they’re come at

The completely different times don’t they so one minute will’ll be expecting to have a high and it ends up being a law and vice versa so we’ve got to be careful tomorrow and not not underestimate Len Billy um they certainly W underestimate them because what they did to us before Christmas

There um yeah where we went to there I don’t think they’re going to have the Tom locky effect tomorrow which of course away from home it’s not going to happen they’re not going to have a stadium kind of on edge and up for because of some lock they a stadium up

For it because they won’t revenge over them what happened before Christmas so I don’t see it as um there a big for me there’s a big kind of gaping quality between the two teams whether we got ISAC in the side or not and I think we I think we’ll steam all

Them personally however they will respect them because of what they did before Christmas I think there might be a bit of Revenge in it as well which makes it even more well the Revenge the other thing about the the the lon game away everybody was oh up in arms about

How badly would played and ridiculous ridiculous we actually didn’t play too badly against Lon you know we’re robbed of a couple of decisions we missed sitters as as per usual and you know we should have actually won that game and yet after the game everybody saying oh

We played we did nothing of the sort we’re okay well it’s the usual when Newcastle lose the world ends I mean with some people I mean they can’t see uh they can’t see the the the trees for the similarly on Tuesday I mean I didn’t think we played brilliantly on Tuesday

We had little spells where we did but lots of the time were still giving the ball away unnecessarily uh but you know everything went for us on Tuesday which it didn’t when we played Luton well um well I thought we were a lot better than we

Were at Fulham Derek to be honest I think um what we did what we did better at Aston Villa was we were we passed the ball um slower if you know what I mean we we we actually you know we took our time and we we took our time with the

Passing we made sure that it hit the man the passing from the big players was much better I.E Murphy putting Gordon through uh shar’s passing was better so it it was important that we kept the you know yes we went a bit soft in the second half and but Eddie made a change

Which I was good glad to see yeah well watching a few of the Villa uh YouTube channels on on Wednesday and so they were all up and on they they they they had programs exactly like we had yeah when Villa beat us 3 nil last season cuz

We were on on a great run you know we just won four away games with West West Ham brenford and so and so and and then we came right back down Earth Edie House’s worst game Dy D and that’s exactly what they were all seeing on Wednesday Em’s worst game ated his R

Them all this all this nonsense you know so so the you just got to keep your feet on the ground I mean I I’ve said all along even when we’re going through the bad spell I still think we’ll make Europe comfortably and still possibly top four

Once we get all our plasa I don’t I don’t know if you’ve seen the 442 analysis of uh the vill yeah yeah yeah yeah and it’s brilliant because in that uh the kid uh has a a graph shown out of our 22 players M over the 20

Games over the 22 games we played that that gives a possible 482 player games and out of that 484 we’ve had available 250 just over half so essentially we’ve been playing with 12 men every single game and the same 12 men over you know 10 game periods 30 30

Days it’s no wonder what we dropped off it was impossible to sustain but hopefully again p p have seen this that’s for certain uh and and so whereas a lot of people are saying that the fact we haven’t spent any money in January means that they AR back in ID and the throwing

About the dry kind of thing uh I think the opposite I think they’ve just effectively written off this season and put it down to all of the injuries we’ve got but what they’ve said is let’s wait till we get all our key players back get the squad back together and

Let’s see how we’ll perform then and then we’ll know exactly what we need I think they they’ll absolutely back him in the summer no question at all I don’t think these jobs in any danger whatsoever I think if they’re able to because of ffp they would have

Backed him they would have they would have given all the money he wanted and of course FP stopped well I tell you what there there’s an very interesting uh sort of happening on that in that in Belgium there’s a club taking UEFA to court saying that claiming that ffp is a restriction of

Trade and if you remember it was the Belgian courts y Bosman Bosman ring was made that change football forever as we know it yeah so you never know you’re look in a big city uh come on Brussels so what you going for tomorrow then Derek I’m going to go two-nil two

There yeah he was yeah and then uh I think it took about 10 15 minutes before the moment going on and plus Villa Miss Villa scored and it was offside which was like few cmet anyway I tell you what it was closer than what we thought initially when we were doing the

Commentary we thought he miles off but then when we saw the replay Jesus it was closer everybody’s screaming like please do a sub here bring him on bring him on and week after week now yeah he did and and that’s the main thing um he he made

Bad uh right what do you want to chat about couple of things Lads um Stadium for One so what’s your thoughts on moving Stadium uh look I I’ve got to St james’ park for years um and it’s a very very special place for me I understand uh I would

Understand if I had to if we had to move uh because we couldn’t make it any bigger I’d understand you know the reasons for that but I’d be absolutely good gooded at the same time that we you know if that if we had to leave St

James’ Park and I know Billy you you’re kind of uh very much against moving and I think Roy is as well just because you know they’re oldtimers anyway those two and you know we’ve been uh St James Park is a very special place even to the younger fans so um they’ve got to

Explore every opportunity to expand Stadium to give us the capacity we need to fit in the theand demand basically so we need a 75 to 80,000 pound people Stadium the Reas reason is uh I mean we’ve got one of the most loyal fan bases in the country yeah yeah um we’ve

Got probably we could we could sell out you know a m a massive St Stadium if we wanted to you know and I was talked to my first game by my dad when I was eight the end we we ended up having half season tickets then the season tickets

Then we moved around the Milburn stand the seated area because it was standing in the gallaga at the time yeah and all the way up until like late teens and stuff like that you know and then uh I uh ended up moving abroad after that uh

My dad worked away we end up giving away our season tickets because obviously we were never at the games um and in the last I would say in the last eight years I’ve moved back to the UK now uh my eldest now is the age I was when I

First went to the Gap so I want to take him to games you know com so obviously I’m in the same boat as a lot of people you know yeah it’s it’s very interesting because I’m in the same boat as well I had um uh I mean Phoebe’s gone through

Stuff at the minute anyway but she wanted to come with me um and we went a few times last season she got the bug um and I think we’re all in a situation as parents now where we’ve got young kids and we want to take them to see

Newcastle we want to do what our dads did for us and and and you know get that black and white blood going and and and you know BEC a Newcastle United fan and it’s very frustrating now that that we can’t do that um I’m just thinking though I mean it’s an interesting point

Because I know we can’t I think I read somewhere or I heard on here that we can’t build a stadium with a bigger capacity than Wembley so that’s right I mean realistically Paul what would you say would be a a good capacity for let’s just say we we States and jameses and

All this about the you know the the the listed buildings and things like that we get that sorted and we can improve all sides of the stadium what would be a really realistic capacity do you think for where the stadium is now by the fact

Of the B I mean I I try to enter the ballot system through the membership system you know yeah yeah um and by the fact of how many people are waiting for tickets on there versus how many tickets we’re actually selling so we’ve got like

A 50 52,000 Stadium at the minute if you know if you put that in context you’re talking that we would at least fill a 70,000 uh stadium so somewhere between 70 70 and 80 you know uh yeah Paul’s put in the chat there 70

To 75,000 I think is we we we’d easily F that right easy yeah yeah but I think structurally I think you’re looking at 65 the way it is unless they has other that’s why I bring up the question of moving the club forward do we stay

Nostalgic on St james’ park or do we move stadium that I I don’t want to move Stadium but I’m thinking future development and obviously um if there’s a way of keeping it in the city then yes obviously outside the city then I can see again though it’s it’s it’s like the

Actual first team isn’t it the sentimentality you know do do we have to leave that behind now if we want to be an elite club you know what I mean Man City left main road which was a very very special place for them um you know and and they’ve sort of never looked

Back now it’s it’s it’s a historical it’s it’s in history now now and they’ve moved obviously to the Edy had but it if we had to move because it would make us better and would take us to the next level I think a lot of fans would probably understand that there would be

Kickback from a lot of fans as well if they said that we’re leaving the leaving St james’ park there would be all sorts of Kickback and stuff like that but I guess Billy that’s something we’d have to get used to but again Center mentality has to be put to one side well

The Man City one was different because the state that stadium that they were in now was built for the Commonwealth game so it already there there was no transition yeah I mean if you’re building a stadium a new stadium there you know there’s a time when you you

Just stay in St James Park all the way to the new stadiums built you know that that’s generally what happens me personally there there’s other ways you can Dig Down Deeper you can rotate the pitch you can expand onto the Le’s Park there’s Al you know even move the

Stadium 50 yards or 100 yards that way towards Lees Park and and expand then you’ve got more room to to work with then so I think James Park is the place they’ll do it I think got yeah I think counc regulations I think said earlier if they they submitted for an out Town

Stadium say somewhere maybe Gates Headway or something like that and soon the council regulations soon come down and you get the thing sorted out very quickly very quickly what we haven’t got to do is make sure that the atmosphere disappears because you know we know whaton James as is like when it’s really

Rocking yes it can be quiet sometimes but when it’s rocking it’s rocking um and and I think you know realistically heart to Hearts we all want to stay there don’t we perfectly honest if if we were to go on a which we think we’re going to do you

Know end up as Champions and you Champions League winners and all this you know I I don’t think the stadium that’s less than wembly fills in what we can we could fill it with we could have a stadium with 100,00 no danger in fill it yeah you say about keeping the

Atmosphere there Paul but do you think it’s the the stadium that gives the atmosphere for Newcastle is the fans themselves because every Stadium they’ve gone to this season they’ve created the atmosphere at every other ground every other team stadium you know yeah well My

Worry is that we you know if if you look at the likes of the EAD you look at the Emirates these new stadiums that have been built it the the atmosphere is not great in them you know we we know the Edie hads great at times and then the

Emirates I mean I’ve never beat the Emirates personally but from what people have said when they’ve been it’s been a very strange atmosphere um yeah I just think you need to keep that element of Old School stadium within the new system and within the new stadium so that it

Doesn’t get taken away I don’t know how you would do that uh yes the would play a big part absolutely uh but it has to be built in a way that you’re not going to lose that atmosphere um I don’t know how they would do that though but I mean

That’s for the uh that’s for people a lot higher up than me to decide but when the new Wembley they they actually the pitch is the other way now it’s 0 degrees different used so maybe that’s a way they could go around it and I mean

Have the gallate and the Lees side parts of the Statum if you like yeah Wembley’s an interesting point because I mean when I went in the for the Cup Final in February um since I was last there I couldn’t believe I didn’t recognize the place it it it was just completely

Different um I played I Wembley Arena and I didn’t even know I was standing next to Wembley Arena uh at one stage in the fan Zone I didn’t realize the arena was there because when all was last there there was an old car park next to

The arena and then Wembley was kind of just on it own but now there’s a whole sort of there’s restaurants there’s shops there’s there’s hotels it’s an incredible place now all all it’s like a a little city of its own um so I guess it’s going to be interesting to see what

Happens with st James’s in the long run um anyway how you feeling about tomorrow Mark what’s your what’s your predictions for tomorrow Paul I just forget that I’m tired you did I was looking around for a mark as well um I’d say I don’t think Luton will score

Even though the put four P Brighton the other night yeah so I’ll go for a 2-n home win and what what are you what are you thinking about uh the the attacking situation with isak were you a little surprised by what Tindle said this morning a little bit but uh you

Know you just got to take it with a pinch of salt with some of these uh I mean the other point I had was what you were uh banging on about last week when you were talking about Eddie how’s press conference and obviously they’ve got to

Give us something that was before by the way having two wins on on the bounce there one in the FA Cup and one against Villa and we’ll listen to the predictions then and in a few predictions we weren’t even confident we’d even get a draw from Villa so yeah

Change was a fantastic change and know bringing liver men and making a back five it just stifled them didn’t it just stifled straight away virin they had no idea and they kept giving it to Leon Bailey and once or twice he got past Li Mento and seven or eight times he didn’t

And it’s kind of just stunted them straight away we saw it on on the commentary we said we need to get Le M off his his races run and yeah a minute or two later he did it which was kind of amazing because that’s happened a few times this

Season and it hasn’t happened I mean if he did not against Liverpool for instance I think would’ have beat Liverpool but home yeah no doubt about it I mean liver men or I mean you mentioned a couple of times he was beating Billy I think that was in within

The first couple of minutes of him being on the pitch wasn’t it I mean Leon B he a good he’s hell of a player there’s no shame in getting beaten by Liam Bailey but once he warmed up he matched him didn’t he it was couple times yeah yeah

Yeah it was it was great but I do worry sometimes uh Roy with uh W with the balls played over the top of Dan burn um I know that’s crazy to say with him being the height he is but you know what I mean because burn has then got to turn

And accelerate and you know when he’s playing against a speedy Winger that’s not necessarily great because if the ball is is played well and they’ve got a speedy Winger burn isn’t quick enough to turn and run he’s he’s good enough when the uh when the def you know the

Attackers coming at him but when he’s got a turn and run it’s a little bit different I mean it happened against about probably 15 times against Liverpool and it kept happening again and again um the one um against City yeah as well um walk got the ball and he

He probably could have called his last and his mistress and ordered a pizza for and he passed ball in the Box easily I think I think Burns it is is um Ed’s one of as he said one of his favorite back four well of the but we need another one next season we

And he’s not going to play at all I think it’s a smoke screen but I think we’re in a better position physically mentally and anything else because we’re only playing one game a week now Villa was Tuesday night so had plenty of rest before then they’ve been able to be on

The training pitch they’ve been able to recover they’ve had more plenty of time um I I just think we’re in a better position than what we were going down next I think we’re down there and we look we tired I think we’re the tired physically mentally everything about it

Because we were playing every three days but yeah we had a game Saturday Tuesday but after Saturday we haven’t got a game for another seven days and that’s another seven days so it’s we’re we’re in a better position for for that um the fact that Bruno was very disciplined the

Other night didn’t get himself and I think that’s something that these next three games I think Eddie how will be drilling into him because I think these three games are games that we’re going to look at is to try and get nine points seven to nine points at least out of but obviously

It’s got me nine points got three games because that’s what we can get but I think basically the same with going I think they’ll have to be disciplined these three games if Bruno can do that like what he did Tuesday night get through these games you now all get your

Booing against Bournemouth because yeah you’ll miss Arsenal in the league game after that but you’ll be available for the FA Cup game in between so maybe Eddie how’s possibly saying to them get your bookings against Bournemouth if you can miss the next two League games and

Um but you know Anthony Gordon quick as well Murphy’s quick on the Move we should be utilizing the pace however I think L will come with a low block and it’s going to be hard to utilize that pace are you in the bloody law block again well they’re AR they’re

Going to come for a point they’ll be Happ Dr death but we’ve got it’s not just about the pace I mean it’s the skills they’ve got all three of those have got technical skills that can beat players and trade chances so yeah yeah which is why I think us getting an early
