Is Taylor Swift receiving too much hate for her presence in the NFL?
With all that’s going on in America right now, maybe people are finding Taylor a convenient scapegoat for their anger. It’s pathetic.
It's interesting you find it so silly alot of folks hate Travis Kelce & are sick of his girlfriend yet you spend your time discussing it at length…it seems your trying to convince yourself and everyone else either folks really don't hate them (outside KC) or it's just that their morons that they actually think for themselves and disagree with you…also you should take one less drink before your podcasts ..😊😊

Athletes dating or marrying celebrities is nothing new. Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe for starters. Just search Google and the list is quite long.
Personally, I'd much rather look at Taylor Swift a handful of times during a Chiefs game than the hundreds of times I've had to see Spike Lee at Knicks games when I used to watch the NBA. Talk about overkill, they must've showed him 20 times per broadcast. Haven't watch the league in about a decade, so don't know if he's still there or not.

I don't care about Taylor being at the games or being shown for a few seconds on the broadcast. She's supporting her partner, and it brings more people into watching the NFL. It isn't her fault she gets the attention she does and she shouldn't be criticized for it. She's a big star, of course the NFL is going to capitalize on that. There's no conspiracy there.
My problem is her lunatic fanbase buying tickets to games just to see her, and buying Travis Kelce jerseys in record numbers JUST BECAUSE TAYLOR IS INVOLVED IN ANY WAY. Like, these people didn't care about football; and I doubt when Travis retires or him and Taylor break up that these people will stick around and keep watching games.
It's celebrity worship to the extreme. I don't care what celebrity it is, if you're this obsessed then something is deeply wrong. These are just human beings, and yet these fans are beyond obsessed. Speculation on marriage and kids…. like, YOU DON'T KNOW THESE PEOPLE. stop your weird parasocial relationship.
It goes beyond football. I have to see her everytime I'm on social media or watch the news, and now she's dominating football discussion. Again, it's not her fault, but I wish I didn't have to have Taylor Swift shoved down my throat everyday. The Eras Tour was months of having Taylor forced into every discussion, and I think people are just exhausted at this point. I like Taylor, but it gets crazy annoying.
I share a tiny bit of that hate, so let me explain. It feels like we are being "forced to celebrate" Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, which I have no interest in their privacy. I don't think it is fair to feel like that, so I just shut up, but some people does not.
